Avery says trying to move the bed to the middle of the room.i walk into the living room and look through some of the boxes and finally find the wall paper paint thing."here."I gave Avery some of the paper and we put it on the wall.it took us about thirty minutes to put the baby blue wallpaper stuff on the walls. after we let it dry we put my L.E.D lights around the ceiling which took us a while."where do you want to put your bed?"Avery said as we finished putting the L.E.D lights up."maybe over in the corner facing the closet." I say. we move the bed and then put the grey comforter on the bed and put a few posters up and then we finished doing the room with putting my grey carpet in front of my bed and then we put my clothes in the white dresser of the room and then we hanged the other clothes in the closet."what time is it now?"I groan feeling tired from working on the room."well it is now 11:34 am.oh and I just realized I didn't finish showing the dorm to you." Avery says jumping off the bed and walking to the door leading to the living room."this way."she says and I follow her."the kitchen is in there and I also forgot to tell you that the other door in your room is a bathroom."I nod and wonder what else is in the dorm.we walk to a closet looking door and she opens in.it has stairs leading to some where. I say looking around."well we call this the party room."she says happily."why are there poles?" "for reasons." Avery says giving me a wink.we walk back downstairs and we go to the living room."so what do we do now?" "well we could either go to classes which are actually fun or just stay in the dorm."Avery said looking like she hopes for me to say leave the dorm and go to classes."let's go to classes." I say and Avery looks happy."I think we are in fourth period now which means we have gym in ten minutes." we leave the dorm and walk to the gym even though 5th period has not started yet.some of the kids were holding their stuff for their next class."let's go to the locker room because I don't want people to stare and scare you too much." Avery says and we walk into the girls locker room.the lockers are red and there are benches where people can sit on and then if you walk to the back there is some bathroom stalls and a shower room in the corner and there are mirrors for girls to go look at their selves in."your locker is number 1074 which is over there." she points to a corner where lockers were.she walked to her locker which is in the same corner as mine and we change.i change into some shorts and a crop top school hoodie and put my converse shoes on and put my other stuff away.the shorts feel a little tight around my legs but I will live.when we got done we walked to the bleachers of the gym and sat down and watched as people leave and enter the gym. "well I think today we are having a free day." Avery says looking at the people that enter the gym."wait a minute!"Avery says looking confused at me."is that a belly button percing?!" she says looking at my stomach."I'm yeah I got it last year during the summer."I say."wow I got mine when I was ten."she says.when everyone got to the gym the teacher came out. a women with blonde hair looking the age of maybe 35 walks out wearing sweat pants and a black long sleeve shirt with a whistle around her neck."today is a free day due to the fact that some of the work out machines upstairs are not working." she says and walks away."let's go to Eli and the others." Avery says and I nod as we get up and leave the area we were sitting at

We got back to SNPC and once again Mary showed me the way back to my dorm. She helped me get all my stuff to the porch of my dorm. "Thanks Mary, I guess I'll see you later." "No problem, if you ever need to talk about anything, my office is room 319 and my number is 469-764-8972." "Thanks Mary." 


       I started bringing my stuff in my room of the dorm when my dorm mates noticed how much I had. "We could help you if you want." Max said. "We could?" asked Melanie to David. Max elbowed Melanie, "Yes, we could." "Thank you, I really appreciate it." I said. "Cool, so what can we do to help?" Melanie asked. "Just bring my stuff outside of my room, I can take care of the rest." "You got it." Max said. 


       Soon enough all of my stuff was put up in my room the way

 I wanted it to be. "Thanks guys, you didn't have to do that." I said after I was done. "Hey, that's what friends are for." Max replied with  a smile. "It's nice to know I have friends here. I'm still not used to living here and having supernatural powers." "You'll get used to it eventually." Melanie said right before she hugged me.


       "So you start your classes tomorrow right?" David asked. "Yeah, I'm a little nervous. I've never had supernatural classes before. What are they like?" "Well, in supernatural classes they teach us how to use our powers. The more we learn about them and practice them, the stronger they get." David said. "They also teach us some spells to use when defending ourselves, or spells to use in general." Max added. "Some spells take up more energy than others. Some are really easy to cast, others aren't." Melanie said. "I guess that doesn't sound so bad." I said. 


       "So, what are your classes?" Melanie asked. "My first period is advanced math and fire magic. My second period is advanced english and emotion control. My third period is advanced chemistry and basic spells. My fourth period is advanced history and weather control. My fifth period is magical self defense. My sixth period is  sun/light magic. My seventh period is art and my eighth period is a cooking class."


       "The cooking class sounds fun. Does that mean you'll cook for us?" Max asked with a hopeful smile. I laughed "Sure, just not everyday."  "Speaking of cooking, we really need to eat dinner. Any suggestions?" Melanie said. "Lasagna?" David asked. "I don't know how to make lasagna." Max said. "I usually cook because these two have no cooking ability." Max explained. "Oh. Well, I know how to make lasagna. I could show you how." I offered. "That would be great, thanks." Max replied.


       Max and I went to the store within the supernatural community to get what we needed. When we arrived back at the dorm we started cooking. We put the lasagna in the oven and talked while we waited for it to be ready. 


       "Have you always known you were a supernatural being?" I asked. "No, I found out when I was thirteen years old. I thought it was super cool when all of the sudden I could talk to my dog. My parents caught me talking to him one day and sent me here. I've been here ever since." "That sounds terrible. Do you ever miss your parents?" I asked concerned. "Yeah, but we talk on the phone almost every day and video chat a few times every now and then." 


       "Well at least you can still talk to your parents." I said sadly. "I'm sorry you lost parents. I can't even imagine the pain it puts you through." "Yeah, it's really hard going on in life without them. The first night I came here I cried for two hours. I just want my parents back so badly. I can't believe they're really gone." I felt my eyes start to water then I looked down at my feet. A single tear rolled down my face. Max tilted my head back up and wiped my tear away. "You'll get through this, I promise." Max wrapped me in a tight bear hug. The timer on the oven went off. Max let me go and took the lasagna out of the oven. "Wow that smells good." He looked at me "It's gonna be ok." he said sympathetically. "Eventually." I replied with a sad smile. 


       I wiped the rest of my tears away and called out "Dinner's ready!" Melanie and David came in and we all ate our dinner. After dinner David did the dishes, Max wiped down the counters, Melanie swept the floor, and I took the trash out.


       I was standing outside by the trashcan when a shadow-like creature appeared, at first I thought I was seeing things but then it tried to attack me. On instinct I shot a small ball of light at it and it disappeared, leaving behind a small black rock. I picked it up and put it in my pocket.


       When I went back inside I said goodnight to everyone then went to bed. I don't know what that shadow thing was or why it left behind that rock, but I was tired and had to be up early the next day for my new school.

After leaving Blessing off to her dorm Robin moved towards his dorm . He could stay at his home but he wanted to stay out and it was more convenient so he would live in boys dorm . He wanted to stay with brother Revin but senior has seperate dorms . He just wish that he would get some nice people who are not rude especially as that pet ! 
He moved towards his room and opened the gate . He greeted his roommate sameul who seems to be a fun guy . Sameul said while helping him in his stuff , Hey Robin don't move to this side and touch his stuff .This boy seems to hate people who touch his stuff . Robin gave him a nod and said what's his name ? Robin had guessed somewhat by sameul's description but he still wanted to confirm . 
Sameul said stelvin , the boy who replied to Mr jack today ! He is a quiet guy , otherwise he is nice 
At that moment stelvin entered the room and moved to his desk and started reading something not bothering to greet anyone . 
Robin humped and started doing his stuff . After few minutes stelvin turned towards him and said sorry , robin got startled for a moment hearing him but stelvin continued and said i am sorry for the incident in class , i thought you were bullying Miss Blessing . 
Robin found it awkward hearing him What's with bullying forget that it's not issue What's with this miss ? Robin turned towards him and said did you really took her as your owner ? 
Stelvin gave a confused look . Robin grabbed himself a chair and sat on it  said tell me seriously " Are you interested in my friend ? " 
Stelvin said with same expression " Is she a subject , why would i be interested in her ? " 
Robin found his head throbbing after talking to him for just one minute he said , forget that she is not interested in you anyways !
Stelvin said glaring at him why wouldn't she be interested in me ? 
Robin smirked and said you don't seem to have skills to woe a girl . Learn from me . you can rely on me if you want to pursue her ! 
Stelvin arched a brow and said in your dreams who is even  trying to woe her ? 
Robin smirked and replied proudly my friend had always been popular among boys , in a matter of time you will see the queue of boys around her . 
Stelvin didn't continue on this topic and started reading again . Stelvin thought that may be he is attracted to her a little bit but it's may be just because she is similar to someone he know a long time ago . 
Morning ~ girl's room ~ 
Blessing woke up at usual time as always . she has a light sleep so she can easily wake up from her alarm . 
Blessing and rose got ready for school and saw once again towards venica who was still sleeping despite them trying to wake her up . she didn't even flinch when Rose sprinkled water on her face . she didn't woke up even when Blessing hit her fiercely to wake her up . she just turned her position and slept once again . They both have tried various things to wake her up . 
An idea popped up in Blessing's mind she said in a pitched voice  " Ah ! Rose isn't this person avery wilson " 
Venica jolted  up in just 2 seconds and jumped from the bed kicked the blanket   checked in all directions asking where is he ?  Rose and Blessing stared at her for a whole minute . They could just have said that from starting if they knew it will be that easy ! Venica got ready and the trio moved towards the class for another day .

Yu Wuhan was informed by her "mother" after lunch that she will move back to the dormitory provided by the school. From their she will go to school. Her mother requested her to just not cause any trouble in the school that will bring bad name to her siblings and her "family". Yu Wuhan "mother" also added that if she really wanted to cause trouble, then she better not do it inside the school campus. Yu Wuhan was speechless when she heard this. Yu Wuhan thought that this is a one of a type "mother" who can't be anywhere except here. 

After her "mother" left her the message, she had to pack stuff which she should require while staying in a dorm room. Yu Wuhan had nothing much to pack because she remembered that all the things are already available where she would be living. Then she saw so many useless stuff in her room. She thought that once she has the time, she will sell all this useless stuff.

After taking some books which was necessary and a laptop, she was ready to move out. Yu Wuhan's  "mother" called her out after a while saying that to get inside the car.

Just when Yu Wuhan was about to leave the house which made her suffocated, she was stopped by a non threatening Yu Wunli. The current Yu Wuhan was also annoyed by Yu Wunli by now because of how smug and arrogant she was acting.

Yu Wunli on the other hand, was happy that she could see that Yu Wuhan was annoyed by her when she stopped her. According to her plan, once Yu Wuhan was annoyed it was very easy for Yu Wunli plan to succeed and make Yu Wuhan unreasonable and angry. Yu Wunli usually wouldn't do this sort of stuff because it was beneath her to voluntarily make Yu Wuhan angry but she was jealous that her grandfather noticed Yu Wuhan and not her Yu Wunli. What ticked Yu Wunli most was of what Yu Wuhan asked of her precious grandfather who rarely grants wishes for money. But she made a huge error in her judgment because the current Yu Wuhan was different. Without knowing this, Yu Wunli said.

"Hey "elder sister", are you really in need of money so much so that you had to ask grandfather for it? If you really needed money, why didn't you ask me, I would have donated to you "some"
money as change. How much do you want "elder sister"? "

Yu Wuhan didn't reply and remained silent. This action ticked off Yu Wunli even more.

"Why aren't you answering my dear "elder sister" ?"

Yu Wuhan was really annoyed by this "sister" of hers. Therefore she became indifferent and then said. 

"What if I had asked something which would have made the impression of me on grandfather even better than you?"

"I know you only act as if you're taking care of people, so that you will be liked. So if I take that away from you, you will have no likable qualities left."

Yu Wuhan left after she finished saying that and left Yu Wunli who was shocked silly. Even the surrounding people who had gathered around for fun were shocked when they heard what Yu Wuhan said.

Yu Wuhan not knowing what impact she made when she left her "house" entered the car.  There she saw how annoyed her "mom" was who was going to drop her child to school. Yu Wuhan just said "sorry". 

On the way, Yu Wuhan's mother gave her a bank card and reminded her that she will not get extra cash if she spends all the money inside the card. Yu Wuhan was also reminded to not cause any trouble and she didn't want to come to school to solve her problems which she created. Yu Wuhan was speechless again when she heard this. Yu Wuhan thought that she will not waste money or cause any trouble but also from now on she will save money and disappear from the public view so much so that if she didn't appear in person, everyone will forget that there was a person name Yu Wuhan in school. But on the outside she only nodded in reply.

When Yu Wuhan arrived to her room, no one was there. It could be understood because the new semester will start from Tuesday and today was only Saturday, so most people would either come on Sunday or Monday. 

It could be said that Yu Wuhan was in luck because her heart problem happened during the holidays and not during school days. So not much people within the school would know  about her problem.

Then Yu Wuhan started to browse through her things. There was too many stuff which the current Yu Wuhan deemed as useless. Yu Wuhan thought that she couldn't throw away the make-ups but at least she should do something about this dresses other than the school uniform. There was not one clothing which satisfied Yu Wuhan because all were too eye catching. So the first thing she thought was to buy some set of clothes which is not eye-catching and plain in nature. 

Yu Wuhan would have first looked for her family and her friends who would help her get a job at a corporation. But first she thought that she should assimilate and get to know the surroundings better so that there would be no future troubles. Therefore, Yu Wuhan would look for some part-time jobs which was available right now while buying for some clothes. This was because she was free right now and to her time is money. But this thought would bring lot of trouble in the coming days because Yu Wuhan actually forgot that she is a daughter of a rich family and not a daughter who had no cash on hand and was chased by debtors.

After a while, Yu Wuhan left her dorm to buy clothes and to search for part-time jobs.

Will Liu Yan, who got a second chance to live, be able to clear her family debts or drown while clearing it off.

Would Liu Yan get support from anyone around her.

Will Lui Yan be able to live a regular life.

As I step away from the reception, I have a few more answers than I did before which is comforting. There's an on campus mall with just about everything we could need in it and on our student cards, we've recived 400 Roses so we can go shopping for dorm decorations and such. My mom said she would drop my suitcase off later so I'm not too worried about a couple of the rules put into place by Principle Marcus, like leaving campus.

Roses are the name of our currency, and have been for a very very long time. Roses are gold coins with a beautiful rose in the middle, we have silver coins too, those are called Nightshades. One Rose is worth five Nightshades. In American dollars a single Rose would be worth about twenty U.S. dollars which is great, because to us Roses are like dollars to us. In most places, once we've had our currency turned into a currency for a place we're visiting it's nice to not have to worry about money.

I've already texted Yue, Alice and Cleo and we have found out which dorm is ours. Building South West Yew, floor 9, flat C. Girls and boys both have separate dorms, with eight buildings. Around those buildings is some thin forest with a slope upwards and a huge eight foot fence. There's the outer four buildings, all with vertical forests, North and South, East and West. The inner circle has North East and West, and South East and West. And then in the centre there's a pool, a smoking area and even a small twenty four hour convenience store next to the gates. 

About a stone's throw away is the women's security center. It's positioned between the first year and second year girls dorms and the same applies over at the boys section. It's a ten minute walk from the dorms to the school, which is nice and the student mall is right next door, we can even see it from our dorm windows. 

However the boys dorm overlooks the student venue. It has a bar for second years, two movie theatre screens, a huge concert stage, and a laser tag section. The academy grounds are huge, we even have our own massive greenhouse and a huge lake, and even a small mountain. They built a stone platform in the middle of the lake, and so now all the different elements have somewhere to practice without causing damage to others or messing with the elemental energy each type is creating.

So Now I have a few less questions and a few more too... Like for example, what am I gonna decorate my dorm room like? We still need two dorm mates too... Will they leave the spare rooms empty instead? What will it look like? Are the bathrooms on suit or do we have to share?

My questions are soon answered as me and my closest three friends meet up in the parking lot. Yue is grinning brightly as she approaches us, Cleo is still casually chatting up some new guy who's leaning against the hood of his "expensive" car. Cleo seems convinced this guy is something hot. I think he's a poser. Regardless, she heads over to us and Alice is on the phone to her babysitter.

It doesn't take too long though. Maybe a few minutes? But then we're off to our dorm discussing what we think of all the gods. Cleo seems convinced that they don't exist at all, Yue is convinced they're hiding, and Alice is reminding them that gods have better things to do than prove that they exist to a bunch of teenage girls with very limited powers. I think the gods are cowardly for not showing themselves. Where is Gaia? Why is it that only humans with Crystal lillies have powers? If they love us all equally why are we any better than the rest of the world?

 The dorm building elevator is big enough for maybe 10 people? Not large but not small. The music is classy and we're all nervous, our bags already packed full with the important stuff. We end up talking about what we want to do when we leave while we rise upwards to our home away from home for the next year.

Our dorm is one of five and there's also a space for all of our floor to practice our elements inside safely. The whole thing is fire proof, water proof, insulated with metal and the glass on the doors and windows is so tough, even a master elementalist can't break it. Upon entry of dorm 9-C, we see the huge kitchen and dining area. It's huge, with two large windows and two black couches pushed up in front. There's a large flat screen tv to the right of the couches and a breakfast bar with six stools. The counters are long and take up around half the wall space with three fridges beside the door and a trashcan too. Then we look at the layout of the rooms down the hallway.

Alice wants the one next door to the kitchen. She had contacted the principles but Mr King told her straight up that as long as she is careful, she can keep her baby on campus. There's a small day care on site for staff but some students who are young parents apparently use it too. They also can send a babysitter to your dorm if it's urgent so Alice had already been lifted of anxieties. It also settled which room she was having which is at least a little helpful. Yue has the next room, not wanting Cleo and her nightly escapades to wake Dana. Then it's me, third room down the hallway, and as Cleo is about to pick from the remaining three, two girls walk in. 

The first girl is someone I know but not too well. Her name is Elena Bernard. She's a talented earth elementalist and reserved but nice enough. We used to have piano classes together when we were kids.

The second girl- Oh fuck. It's Mania King. Oh god she's terrifying. Those tight leather pants hide nothing and she seems ok with that. She looks like she has nothing to hide, physically at least...

Mania raises an eyebrow at us all and grabs a room key without a word. The furthest room from the door, facing the door it's self. Cleo takes the room next to mine and Elena timidly takes the remaining key with a shy smile, the sound of door to Mania's room being opened fills the slightly awkward silence as we all gawk at who our flatmate is. Mania King. Nobody knows who she really is but the King family were said to be the eyes and ears of Darkness. The Bishop family are the same for Light, and everybody knows them. They have two twin sons, just a little older than me. Those two are super dreamy too. I wouldn't mind them sharing me once in a while...

Alice clears her throat and Elena has already shuffled into her room, a small suitcase following shortly behind on it's tiny, noisy wheels. Cleo and Yue then turn to me a grin "So this is gonna be fun. I imagine Mania likes a good party, so how about we throw a little dorm-warming party once we're all set up?" Cleo has always been a party animal. Alice simply groans "A small one. I have Dana, remember? And classes start tomorrow. The first week is the hardest! I know they just want us to pass but it's insane" My Firey friend's face sinks and then twists in confusion, like somebody told her we're getting rid of the moon. Alice sighs and puts her palms on Cleo's cheeks "you've lived here longer than me, how the fuck do you not know about the schooling system? The first week is hell. You gotta have fourty eight hours of a subject to sit the exams for it. Once you have them you can sit an exam but you can only sit one a day and four in a week maximum. If you fail, you have to get another 12 hours to retry"

Cleo is obviously mortified and huffs with anger. "I guess that makes sense... It just sucks! I wanted to have a party. A real party!" Our token ginger hugs Cleo and rests her head on her shoulder with a soft smile. "It'll be ok, Cleopatra. You'll be ok without a party for a little while. For now, let's go unpack what we have. Maya's mother said she'd drop off all our stuff together so that we don't have to piss around and run home to come back"

I'm so grateful my mother exists. She knows just how to make my day better, even if she does meddle and mess around with my stuff and social life sometimes. So, Alice and Cleo wave us goodbye. They decided to go grocery shopping while I was lost in thought. I sigh and wave to Yue casually "I'm gonna go set up the few items I remembered to pack. My mom said she'll be here in an hour" but a small, cold hand takes mine "I want to talk to you, Maya. Mind if I join you while you do?" Yue is never really that serious. She's a bit of a spacey, nerdy goofball. I had noticed she's been quiet today but then again she did just have our new principle tell her that she wasn't real and she's so nervous. Yue wants to be a doctor, and her parents are proud no matter what... I want her to be happy. She deserves to be.

I lead her to my room and enter. It's bare and lacking in colour, but there's a desk and desk chair, a bookshelf, a large set of drawers, and a wardrobe. There's also a few essentials already given to me by the academy. My school books are all here, they also left some toilet paper, sanitary pads and tampons, a multipack of bottled water, and some hand soap. Nice.

I remove my laptop and put all my school books on a handy bookshelf. I set my notebook down on my desk and set up my pencil pot. I then plug in my laptop and phone charger and put my laptop on my desk. Yue smiles at me and sits on my desk chair "I figured I'd wait till you and I had some real alone time. I don't want Cleo making a mess of stuff and Alice is... I love her but this isn't her business. It's yours. As you know Cye is Jason's older brother. Their mom misses you and so does Sadie" Sadie is their dog. Jason's dog to be specific. Lady Sadie is her actual name and she's a lovely little grey pit bull. You may think they're vicious but they used to be called Nanny dogs. Apparently they're great with kids. Sadie wouldn't hurt a fly, but she might try and lick you to death. I miss her so much... "Yeah, I miss her too. But I assume this is about more than just Miss Steermint and Sadie"

Yue gives me a look. I'm not sure what it is, but I've never seen her look at me like this before. She looks sad, but not? It's not concern, but it looks similar. "Why did you and Cye break up?" She finally asks after a few seconds that felt like an eternity. My heart gets stuck in my chest and I have to take a deep breath as I feel my body start to tense. 

I feel like there's not enough air in my lungs and I can't even speak if I wanted to. Then I do my best to exhale and it comes out a lot shakier than I hoped for. Now Yue knows I'm upset and she immediately comes to my side.

We sit on my bed and she holds my hand in silence, waiting for me to he ready. "...He wanted proof of my devotion to him. It got scary. Like asking me to cut Nick open for just being friends with me. I then found out he was sleeping with Alicia Townsgate behind my back for the last three weeks of our relationship. He then tried to tell me he just wanted to make me jealous so that I knew how he felt about me being friends with you, or Jason or Nick" She looks taken aback by this information, and then she laces her fingers with mine and squeezes my hand "I had no idea... He still calls me Chen actually and it's really not great. I don't expect you to talk to him or anything, but he says he misses you all the time. I just thought you should know about it"

It shocks me that Cye still calls Yue by her dead name. It's a horrible way to tell your friend that you like them but you don't respect them. I never thought he was such an asshole. " He kept trying to pressure me into sex, and that's why I never wanted to. Promise me this stays between us for now? I'll tell the others just- Not now. Things are pretty chaotic as they are right now. Let them settle in before I go causing more problems" Yue nods in agreement and reaches up to ruffle my hair playfully before she answers "I understand and I really appreciate your honesty. I'll keep your secret, Maya. And if you need me, you know where I am. If Cye ever tries to pressure you again, let me know and I'll 'accidentally' credit card him"

 I pause. I'm now confused. My tiny air elemental friend sees my confusion and hits me with a definition as soon as the question leaves my lips "What's credit carding?" Yue seems to find joy in this and cracks her knuckles "It's when a skater does a kickflip and hits themselves in the balls with the skateboard. Put simply, it hurts like hell"

Yue then smiles and lets go of my hand "Now for the good bit. My mom sent you a present for helping us redecorate my room" I tilt my head with a grin. A gift from Mrs Li is always a cause for celebration, even if it's only small. Yue fishes around in her backpack for a while and then pulls out a black cable and a large round circle "It's a coaster. You plug it into the USB of your laptop and put your drink on it, and it keeps it warm for you. She also has another gift for you but wants me to invite you to dinner on Wednesday night so she can give it to you in person"

Dinner too? Sweet! "Sure! Sounds great... Other than the curfew we have" But Yue already seems to have thought of that "My dad will pick us up straight after classes, we'll go for dinner and then he'll drop us off back at the school afterwards" I agree while texting my mother about the update in plans and she seems overjoyed, asking if I want anything else from my room. I ask her to pack me an extra bag of clothes and my invasive mother tells me she had anticipated such a thing and had already done so. My mother, Skye Anae-Bane tells me she will be here in ten minutes.

As if on cue, Cleo and Alice walk in with bags full of groceries as I exit my room with Yue who has already got her yellow DS in hand. Retreating to her room to set things up, Yue leaves after a small wave to the other girls Alice and Cleo set their spoils down in the kitchen with a huff. Kitchen ware, pillows, scented candles, food, utensils, glasses, even a blender... Alice fills a bowl with apples and places it on the breakfast bar while Cleo unboxes everything else. Alice then puts away the groceries and they put the fluffy ashy-brown pillows on the light cream couches, then sets up the candles too.

There's a knock on our door, it's probably my mom. So, like the good daughter I am, I get up to let her in. The only problem is that the person at the door isn't my mother.

It's Cain King. All the blood immediately rushes to my face and I can only assume I look ridiculous. Cain gives me a wave and a small smile that widens as someone suddenly appears behind me "Um... I'm just here to drop off my sister's things". Cain has two large suitcases, a duffle bag, a backpack, and two large things on wheels that are covered by cloths. A cold, pale hand with black claws places it's self on my shoulder and I'm given a light nudge to the side. She doesn't look all too happy and so I very quickly step aside and head back into the communal area to help Alice put up some curtains she had purchased. The two girls decided on purple as the theme for these communal areas after what I can assume is consistent bickering over blue or red. I'm ok with that.

Mania moves so silently for a girl who wears such huge shoes... She intimidates me. But I can hear the suitcases and the covered items on wheels get transported down the hall while the two whisper unintelligible words to one another. What's under those cloths? What does she have under the cloths?!

I hear Cain give his sister some kind of phrase in a language I'm sure I've never heard of before and then the door closes behind him. Well... That was weird. 

Soon enough Yue rejoins us to set up the Wii and Xbox in the lounge area. Cleo has lit some scented candles and Elena has even joined in and put a small lavender plant out on the breakfast bar. She's quiet, but joins in every once in a while as all five of us play Mario kart. We're all having a blast until Mania walks in.

She doesn't say a word, just bringing in her own food and putting it in the fridge as Elena already had done as soon as she arrived. "What was under those cloths that you took into your room, Mania?" Cleo pipes up. I almost wet myself at the idea of this woman's response and my dark skinned friend seems to give up on the game to turn to face this foe.

Mania tilts her head then looks around lazily "I'll tell you, but you have to promise to keep your mouths shut"

And then she suddenly leaves. After a few moments she does return though, with- Oh my gods.

Mania has two ravens perched on each of her shoulders. They looks pretty calm but as she comes closer, we all pause our game and turn to admire the creatures. Mania then smiles and strokes one of their feathery chests "I couldn't leave them at home. They hate my brother and they have really bad separation anxiety. The slightly bigger one is Manu and the smaller one is Morgana" they each have a little leash around their ankles that attaches to what would otherwise look just like a bracelet. "...Please don't touch them. They've been known to get nasty with strangers. You have to let them get used to you if you want to touch them" at least Mania isn't as terrifying as I thought she would be? That's a good thing.

"Oh, by the way, the Principle didn't put that curfew in place to cause harm and upset people. Sure, he's racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic garbage but he actually had a reason for the curfew. Nobody will tell you about it but there have been disappearances over the last year. The teachers don't tell you so they can avoid panic and government officials just want to cover it up anyways. But there have been ten teenagers disappear in the span of ten months" 

Everybody goes silent. And then Elena begins to laugh "That's ridiculous. They would tell us if something like that happened" she checks the time and sighs with a smile "Well, I had better go, I have to meet my aunt to get my stuff. I'll see you guys later!" we all say our goodbyes and wave, even Mania who simply shrugs. Once Elena leaves the scary woman turns to look at us once more "I'm just saying... If Someone I knew had information  like that, I'd want them to share it. Also your stuff is here now. Go help the nice lady bring it all inside. I'm going for a shower" then she makes her exit. She's so nonchalant and careless, it seems to be that and her lack of social tolerance that makes people so afraid of her. That, and the way those sharp green eyes take in the room around her. Mania is like a predator. She sees things in a way I can only imagine. She's perceptive and light footed and absolutley the most badass woman I have ever laid my eyes on...

But do I know her well enough to trust her word? It makes my stomach churn uncomfortably. The information feels right, but why would anybody want to cover that up? Teenagers are going missing, that's a big deal!

Everybody is silent, and we all look at one another. We're all confused, nervous, intimidated, and shocked all at once.

Yue laughs nervously and then my phone starts ringing. Pulling the rose gold phone from my pocket, I check the caller ID and sure enough it's my mother.

Time to go help her bring it inside, I guess.

New school, new me. School should be all about boys and parties and struggling to get good grades for a girl like Maya. 

In a whole different world to our own, but not too far away where people who find balance within themselves find power they had never imagined, Maya is about to find out that there's a lot more going on than just scandalous teenage antics. 

Teenagers are going missing without a trace. Literally. Only one person seems to know what's going on, but she's a mysterious, eccentric newcomer with a scary amount of eyeliner and a bad attitude, and she won't give out anything for free.

On top of all that, Maya can't seem to understand why she herself doesn't have any powers. Will this be helpful or a hindrance?

I head back down to the first floor and walk to the reception counter. That hag ain't here, in fact. No one's here, I'll just leave the books here, someone's bound to put them back eventually.
I leave the books on the counter and head back out.  

I go outside and the sky is already dark. I guess I was in there for a while.  I walk over to the dorms...Another massive building, this one has about 5 floors. It has a small door and some sort of scanning thing in order to open it. 

I go to open the door and to my surprise it's open. Now, onto what I came here for. If I remember correctly she said room 103. I walk into a lobby with no one there. I focus on my sensing range, there are a lot more people in here compared to anywhere else... I also see that there are male and female pairs in the same rooms, just as I suspected I guess. 

So the dorms are not divided by gender...then they are probably divided by grade...That's an interesting thought, so there's probably a good amount of couples having their fun when they go to sleep. Hopefully, they made walls thick enough cause I don't wanna hear it.

I take a left, yep, this was the way. The place is pretty neat though, there are some carpets around on the floor, the place is well lit, every door has an electronic key. I honestly don't know how they got the money for this, maybe a part of the 600+ billion dollars spent on the military goes here. Well, I don't really care either way. I'm getting near the edge of the place over here.

I'm only sensing guys on this side of the dorm. I pass by room 104...I know I'm close, but...behind this door. I'm sensing two guys... having one passionate night, I look at my phone. It's 8: 00 p.m. ... To each their own I guess, It's their own lifestyle, It doesn't concern me and there's nothing I can do about that. I get to my room which is next to theirs.

 I get in front of room 103...I'll minimize my range as much as possible... I don't really want to sense what's going on next door. Even if it's annoying to have a reduced range since you can feel every fucking detail within two meters of myself, It's better than sensing next door. There's someone on the other side of this door as well...

If I remember correctly the principal said my phone was already linked to the room, I press my phone against the electronic key and the door opens. A small guy, about the same age as me. He has light brown hair and is looking at his desk while mumbling some things. I look around the room, this place is actually pretty big but there are pieces of paper scattered all over. I pick one up, these diagrams look like they're straight out of F*ll M*tal * A**hemist. So does this mean he practices alchemy?

There's a lot of these on the floors, I wonder if he's some sort of alchemy freak. If I remember correctly alchemy is one of my elements, but it's one with which I have a lesser affinity than the others. I look up to him again, it doesn't look like he has noticed me. 

I look around the room and see two beds, each with a closet next to it. I feel like sleeping, but, which one is my bed though? I'll interrupt his little fun for a little. I start approaching when suddenly.

"AHHHH! I can't get this shit right!" He throws the paper he has up in the air in frustration and starts to rub his eyes. They look like more diagrams.

"Well, what's wrong with these papers? What are you trying to make?"

"I'm trying to make a three-layered alchemy circle by... I don't know this voice." He turns around and sees me.

"Yo, Kinda tired so I just need to know where my bed is." 

Technically I'm an alchemist I'll look into these papers but otherwise, I'll just go train. I'm not really interested in being an alchemist.

"...You're the new student that's supposed to come today, right?"

Brilliant deductions skills Sherlock

"Yes."

"Alright...Um, I'll be taking a break on my research is there anything in specific that you need to know about?"

"No, not..." Actually, he probably knows a lot about this academy. I don't think he has any reasons to lie to me, so should I ask him about my doubts. It's not like I'll belive everything he says but I'll know a couple of things before going to classes."... Actually, yes. Can I ask you some questions about the academy?"

"Sure, I'm not too knowledgeable about this place though, I only know some general stuff." 

"That's plenty."

"...Alright then, ask away."

" I'm found some rules rather amusing, for example, rule number 6, is there some sort of hierarchy I need to be aware of in this school?"

"...You can tell that much?"

"It's a reasonable deduction just by looking at the rules."

"Then, yes, there in fact is. The higher the ranks usually the better you're regarded here. However, high rankers don't abuse that authority that often."

They aren't? That's an interesting thing to take note of.

"Why is that?"

"It's probably because of the influence of the top 4 in our school. They don't abuse their authority and stop every other high ranker from abusing their own authority."

So, they decided that in order to stop someone from abusing their authority is by abusing your own? How comical that that's what takes to stop it. The top 4 though? I'll make sure to look at the ranking list later.

"So on another note, why are the dorms divided by grade rather than gender?"

"That's so couples can have sex."

Very straightforward with an answer like that, not what I would expect from a middle schooler. Is it because it is something that's not that uncommon here? I mean, once you do something several times you become desensitized to it.

"I only sensed guys on this side of the dorm."

"That's because usually guys and girls are divided to either side of the dorm at first. Once both parties consent to do it then they'll be moved to the middle."

Does that also apply to the guys next door? There's a lack of magic soldiers so I don't think they would promote gay rights. Should I ask him? It doesn't hurt to do so. 

"...Why doesn't that apply to the guys next door?"

He gets extremely serious and looks at me.

"...Did you tell anyone else about this?"

He got serious all of a sudden, does that mean they aren't allowed to do that?

"No, I just came in today, I don't know anyone else."

He gets on the ground and gets on his knees.

"PLEASE DON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT THEM! You can do whatever you want to me but don't tell anyone about them! Please!"

That startled me, why, is it something that isn't allowed. I get that the population of Magic Soldiers is low, however, two guys aren't something that would change it that much. Also, America is a relatively progressive country compared to most. Gay people are accepted for who they are and even gay marriage is allowed.

I don't get it, it's really not something to fret over...there's maybe only one reason that I can think of.

"I have one question."

If I remember correctly they said that females are better suited for neo waste than males. I didn't think I'd have to worry about that since it was a couple of decades ago.

"...Yes"

But what about the birth ratio of males to females?

"What is the male to female ratio of this school?"

"...1 to 5"

So there's a male deficit? I can only think of one thing they thought of that's the case.

"Stand up, you don't have to go that far."

"Okay," he stands up again and looks directly at me 

"Is polygamy something that's practice here?"

"...Yes."

...Now I see those guys' problem.

After the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the world was afraid of the might of nuclear threat. Due to this scientist tried to find a way to create a more controlled way to create a weapon. 

After a breakthrough, some scientists found a way to use nuclear waste and alter it in order to give people special powers. Numerous human experiments were made until finally there was a breakthrough. A little after this many advanced countries became able to succeed, however even if there was a breakthrough, the rate of people who were able to acquire powers after being exposed to the waste was still low. 

After numerous experiments in 1990, all the countries of the world decided to gather and sign a treaty to stop human experimentation. However, when the first generation of children was being born the radioactive molecules in the air gathered in different spots and created gates to different realms. These gates contained massive resources and along with it come monsters and new civilizations. These gates were successfully hidden from the public by governments around the world.

It's now the year 2014, Luis is living a regular life in New York. Not liked by anyone, he was adopted his aunt's family due to his parents' death. His only moments of peace were when he trained his body and when he watched and read anime and manga, and hangs out with his cousin. One day during one of his runs a strange bag fell on him, which will lead to a change in his life.

Kadilu and Rieno were on their way to their dorm room. 

"The principal's speech got me all excited." Rieno said. 

"This school is something else after all."

The two arrived to their dorm room.

"I must say that I'm glad we ended up being roommates as well." Rieno said as he opened the door with his school card.

"So am I." 

They met three of their roommates inside.

"Yo." Rieno said. 

"Yo. The two of you must be Rieno Goedhart and Kadilu Badila. Nice to meet you, I'm Tristan Kroon."

"And I'm Rick Hoogers."

"My name is Gerard Overhein."

"Okay, so, Tristan, Rick and Gerard. It's also nice to meet you all. Let's get along." Rieno smiled.

"I overheard the two of you, and it looked like you are already acquainted with each other?" Tristan asked.

"Yes, Kadilu and I are best friends."

Mariya entered her dorm room and met with her roommates. 

"Hey Mariya!" Said Rosalie Harten.

"Good morning!" Said Charlotte van Schatten. 

"Good morning to you, Rosalie, Amy, Luna, Charlotte. I hope we'll get along."

"Yep! Let's get along." Said Luna Grimberg.

Kadilu, Rieno and their roommates were the last group to enter the classroom. 

Kadilu noticed that Mariya was already getting along well with her female classmates. She was the focus of attention in their midst. 

Rieno quickly went around the class and introduced himself to his classmates. His roommates followed him around, except for Kadilu. 

He just stood there completely motionless.

"Kadilu!" Rieno called out. 

Kadilu turned to Rieno and saw that he kept a seat next to him empty at the table their roommates sat at. 

He went up to the seat and sat down. 

"Kadilu… he seems to be more quiet than usual. Is something bothering him?" Mariya thought worried.

Daniel Andermans, the homeroom teacher of class 1B, entered the classroom and closed the door behind him. 

The first student he laid his eyes on, was Kadilu. And similarly Kadilu was looking at him as well. 

Mr. Andermans smiled upon seeing him.

"I guess you have all introduced yourselves to each other already. Welcome to the New University of Amsterdam. My name is Daniel Andermans, your homeroom teacher until you graduate from this school. If you won't get expelled that is. But more about that later. First, you guys need to elect a class president. Are there any candidates?"  

Mariya raised her hand.

"Alright. We have one. Are there any more willing to become class president?"

"Come on! You go Kadilu!" Rieno said.

"No, thank you."

"What? Are you afraid of losing to me?" Mariya  teased.

"It's no use. You know that provocation doesn't work on me." 

"Hmph!" She pouted.

"I'll go for it!" Rieno said as he raised his hand.

"Alright." Said Mr. Andermans. "Mariya, Rieno, come stand in front of the class and deliver a speech as of why you should be the class president. The class will elect the president based on your speeches." 

"It must be tough on you. You'll have to pick sides between your best friend and girlfriend." Rieno said to Kadilu.

"The one with the best speech will win my vote."

"Looks like you'll be breaking Mariya's heart." 

"You think?" He chuckled. 

"Rieno come over here! Let's see whose heart will be broken between the two of us!" Mariya exclaimed.

Mariya and Rieno stood in front of the class and were ready to deliver their speeches.

"Ladies first." He said.

"You'll regret being nice to me." She said. "I won't say that you all should elect me as the class president, but I'd like to if you do. First of all I'll analyse this new education system in depth so that I'll be able to figure out how it works. I'll built good relationships with the teachers, fellow class presidents and with my own classmates and make sure that we'll have a good time in this school. Both in regards to amusement, and in the results of our tests and exams. But I need your cooperation to achieve that. This is why I ask you for your votes."

The entire class applauded Mariya for her speech.

"Thank you!"

Rieno lost confidence because of Mariya's amazing speech. 

"Where are you waiting for, Rieno?" She smirked. "It's your turn."

"A-ah, right." He said. "So I'll do everything that she'll do, only twice as good. And I'll organize fun events, and stuff like that. So vote for me y'all." 

No one applauded him for his speech, except for Kadilu. And it was slow clapping on top of that. Worst part being that he wasn't sarcastic at all, he just tried to console his friend.

Mariya laughed at Rieno for his terrible speech.

"Why are you laughing? Do you think you're victorious already? It's not over yet! They still have to vote."

"That's right." Mr. Andermans said. "Would those who have voted for Mariya please raise their hands?" 

The entire class raised their hand.

"18 votes for Mariya, so she wins the elections."

"What and I thought my speech was pretty good!"

"Mine was just better."

"Way better!" Said the class. 

"Sorry Rieno." She chuckled.

"Rieno, you'll just be the vice class president if that's fine with you." Said Mr. Andermans.

"Okay."

“The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes [or: from his right hand went a fiery law for them].” 

After entering the dorm, I find a total of five small bedrooms, a hall , two bathrooms and a balcony.

Looks like the Academy has got money to spent.

After getting settled, I open the system's window and find a notification which I was looking for.

With the completion of the quest, now I have 1025 FP. 

For now, my aim is to get to Lv 2. After that, I will go out for conducting the investigation. 

I just hope nothing goes wrong. After all at a place like Arcane, there should not be any Boss level characters running amok.

As I am busy in my thoughts, I hear a knock on the door.

I walk up to the door and open it to find a tall and handsome boy with a sharp jawline standing with a smile on his face.

" Yo ! , so you are the newbie ". 

Before I could open my mouth, he passes by me to get into my room.

" Huh? , ain't your room a bit too dull. You should decorate it a bit more. Want me to help you, I have a lot of decorative stuff in my room". 

Seeing this stranger who seemed to be my dorm mate, blabber non stop, I frown and speak in order to get to his identity.

" Hey, don't you think you should introduce yourself first ".

" Ah! My bad, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Axle Rim, 16 year old from Formation Department ". He speaks with a smile while scratching his head.

" I am Max Edwinson, 16 year old from Blacksmith department ". I introduce myself while stretching my hand out for a handshake.

" Woah!, You could become a blacksmith with such a physique ". He ask as his eyes widen in surprise.

What the hell is wrong with the people of this Academy. Do the students really need to have a strong built in order to get admitted in Blacksmith Department.

Hearing no reply from he speaks with a smile, " If you have any questions, you can just approach me ".

Though this guy talks a lot, he can still be considered to be a normal person. I feel a relief knowing that at least  he was better than the fatty.

Now, I just hopes that the others are normal like him too.

But, I forgot one thing, my luck.

"  Axle, what evil are you up to now. You better behave this time ". I hear a voice coming from the main door and find a guy with strong build and heroic face walk towards us.

" Here comes the, Jailer. I will see you later Max. If you are free later, join me for some fun ". With that, he walks away to his room.

Seeing him walk away, I turn towards the new face.

" Hi, I am August Von of the Mage Department. I am in charge of this Dorms' first year students ". He moves his hand towards me for a handshake.

" I am Max Edwinson of Blacksmith Department. Its nice meeting you ". I shake his hand while replying.

" I didn't see you in high school days in the Academy. Are you by any chance new here? ". He asks in an inquiring tone as his eyes glint.

" Yes ". I reply feeling weird due to his gaze.

" Good, you are not a part of this bunch ". He speaks with a visible joy on his face.

" Max , you should maintain your distance from the students in this dorm ". He gives me a warning with a stern face.

Seeing my confused expression, he continues " I don't know, why are you even in this dorm of trouble makers. You better apply for a dorm change soon ".

" What do you mean by trouble makers ?". I ask him in confusion.

" So you didn't know after all. This Dorm is also know as the Dorm of trouble makers. The boy you just met, is the biggest creep in the academy. He has been caught several times in the high school days, using invisibility formation to peep on the girl's bathroom. While there is also that fatty, He has offended many people and got beaten up several times in the last few years of high school. This guys are still considered cute in front of the last one, he is a totally messed u-"

 Before, he could complete, we hear the main door being flung open.

" Ha...ha.... August, I knew it. You could be the only one to bad mouth someone behind their back ".

I see a guy with red hair and an average build walk towards us.

" Speak of the devil, Wilson , you better behave yourself this year, I am not the type of guy who would take anything lying down ". August speaks with a fierce glint in his eyes.

" Ha...ha.... I like it. That Dorm in charge of last year, didn't even bark in front of me. I wonder that the dog this year would only bark or would bite too ". The red haired guy speaks while seizing  August up.

Feeling the tense atmosphere, I take a step back. 

" What are you looking at , if you won't bite then get loss ". With that, the red hair guy stretches out his hand beckons August to come at him.

" Do you really think you are that strong, just because you haven't met your match until now, then let me open your eyes today". With that, August releases a terrifying aura which makes all the hairs on my body stand.

I feel my body sink into the ground. I take a short breathe and struggle for another. But , before it could get any serious, I see some runes glow on the walls of the room and the pressure on me vanishes. Letting out a breathe, I feel my clothes sticking on my back, drenched in sweat.

Seeing the runes connecting to form a formation, the red hair guy speaks " Tsk...Axle don't interfere in my matters, and release the formation. I know you are hiding there ".

With that, I turn to see the door of the room next to mine, open with a creaking sound and Axle walking out with a smile. Scratching his head, he says with a disgusting smile and squinted eyes, " I didn't think you would find me that easily, don't tell me you have been keeping an eye on me ".

" You pervert!! .You are the one stalking girls and peeping on them. I am not like you, Creep. Stay away from me, and get this damn formation off ". The red hair guy replies as a vein pops out on his neck.

" No way, I don't want you two to fight here and destroy all my Mio - chan action figures". Axle's eyes blaze as he speaks firmly. And refuses to budge.

" You all can continue your banter, I have important work to do and Wilson you better behave yourself ". After saying that , August walks out of the room, leaving us behind.

It looks like he really is busy. But I am really thankful to that person in my heart who gave him his task.

Seeing him leave, the red hair guy gives me a look before walking towards the last room in the corner.

I let out a sigh of relief, seeing the trouble gone. I turn towards Axle to ask  " who is he? "

" He is Wilson Scarlet, you don't need to be scared of him, he is good guy from inside....probably ".

Good guy from inside , what does that even mean, what's with that ' probably ' . 

 I will have to change my dorm, or I might get into trouble because of this guys. And if that happens, I would have difficulty trying to hide my truth. After all, What would people think when I am being beaten the crap out of me and I don't even use my powers to fight back. 

Making my decision, I ask Axle, " I feel hungry, I am going to the cafeteria . Would you like to come ? ". Hoping that he would refuse me, I wait for him to reply.

" Nah, its almost time for Mahou Shojou Mio - chan to air ". Telling me that, he returns to his rooms.

I get out of the dorm and walk towards the administrative office. Reaching the administrative office, I took a form for changing the dorms and submit it on the counter.

Looking at the form, the old man at the counter speaks " Dorm No. 7, it will be difficult for you to change your dorm. There are already a huge number of new students from Dorm 7, who has applied for change. Anyway, we will inform you if there is any news". With that, he opens a drawer and keeps the form along with many other similar forms.

Seeing the large number of forms,  I start losing my hope, I walk back towards my dorm dejected.

Entering the room, I remember Axle's invitation and walk towards his room. Although I heard August's warning, I really had a hard time believing it. I mean, at least Axle looked like a nice guy. So, I walk towards his room in order to see that guys character with my own two eyes.

I give a knock on his door and wait for a response.

A while later, Axle opens the door, " You are here, come in have a sit ". 

Entering the room, I see some beautiful anime action figure dolls on the shelf's and anime posters on the walls.
