It slowly turned it head at the girl revealing one half of the wolf head still had fur and looked normal but the other side all the skin and muscle was missing as it was only the skull and bare teeth showing. It had glowing red eyes that peered at the girl as fresh blood was dripping from its maw. 

  

Patch slowly went into a defensive position as all the hair on her back stood up and bared her teeth. 

  

"Well seems it noticed us!" said Emma slightly frightened. 

  

The werewolf roared a distorted screech and lunged at the duo. 

  

"Patch Weapon mode"! Shouted Emma holding her hand out. 

  

Patch barked and then was suddenly covered in a bright light, when the light dilled down the dog was not there anymore instead it was replaced with a big silver buster blade. Yes, indeed Patch wasn't a normal dog she was a Machima weapon created specifically to protect its owner. The sword flew through the air into Emma's hand who quickly grabbed it and brought it up blocking a claw strike from the werewolf.  

The force behind the clash brought a dust cloud covering the two, when it settled down it showed the werewolf baring its teeth at Emma who was still blocking the strike who sent a grin back at the creature. 

  

Emma quickly leaned to the left causing the creature to fall behind her as she spun on the palm of her foot and attack the beast. 

  

"Hungry Croc Chomp'! Roared Emma. 

  

Her sword glowed green as she infused her Tronium energy into the sword as she delivered a heavy downwards slice on the back of the creature only to quickly bring it back up creating the image of a crocodile biting down. The werewolf cried out on pain as it was sent flying a bit forward. Once it fell to the ground it suddenly sat up in an unnatural position holding one of its hand out when the four nails on its hand were shot out like rockets faster than the eye can see.  

 

Emma tried to block the attack but she couldn't as the nails dug themselves into her causing her to scream out in pain. One nail was jammed into her left shoulder and one went clean through her side as it was stuck in a tree behind her, the other two was now stuck in legs. The girl soon vomited up blood as the claw that went through her stomach was way worse than what she thought.  

  

The werewolf took this as its chance and lunged at the girl. 

  

"Gear activate" whispered the girl as her hair covered her eyes causing a shadow to be cast over them. 

  

Right when a clawed hand was going to cut right through her she suddenly dispersed in a flash. The werewolf looked around confused only to smell something behind it and as it looked over its shoulder there stood Emma. On her cheeks were two black tattoos in the form of cat paws with glowing blue outlines as blue sparks were escaping her feet. 

  

Emma: Panther Pounce! 

  

She called the name of her Gear out and appeared in front of the werewolf in a flash her sword already in an upwards arc cutting the creatures chest open. Emma didn't stop there as she disappeared again in a flash only to cut the creatures back. She used the trees as spring board's to bounce over at rapid speeds soon cutting the entire Werewolf up. The werewolf looked up in the air through the blood escaping from its head to see Emma flying down towards it her sword glowing orange. 

  

"Yggdrasil Slayer!" Shouted Emma. 

  

She shouted and brought the sword down sending a massive orange slash to travel through the air and hit the werewolf causing an explosion to happen. Once the explosion settled down it showed the werewolf was cleaved in to two pieces and was dead. Emma landed on the ground and deactivated her gear causing the tattoo to vanish. She cheered and let go of Patch in weapon mode who glowed white and turned back into a dog barking happily at her. 

  

"We did it Patch! We took out a C rank monster on our own!" cheered Emma happily. 

  

Patch barked at her and the two hugged when Emma suddenly winced, as she saw the werewolf claws that were in her must have flown out when she was jumping from tree to tree at high speeds. She ignored the pain and walked to the werewolf corpse taking a picture of it to prove that the job is done. Just as they were about to leave the entire forest went quiet, not even a bird or insect was heard. Patch suddenly turned around and looked in the dark forest it was growling and barring its teeth at something. 

  

"Patch?" asked Emma confusingly. 

  

The girl also turned around to look in the direction the dog was looking and was suddenly enveloped by pure dread causing her to shake like crazy. There standing behind a few trees was a behemoth of a creature the size of 2 houses put on top of each other. It had tree trunk size legs that had razor sharp claws at the end of the foot, while having thick arms that also had claws at the end and it had a dinosaur head with glowing yellow eyes, it had bright red scales on its body.  

 

This was a B rank monster called Alpha Land Shark. The Alpha Land Shark slowly reached its massive hand towards the fallen Werewolf but Emma and Patch quickly rolled out the way thinking it was going after them. It scooped up the two pieces of the werewolf and in one big gulp swallowed it whole the werewolf green blood dripping from its jaw. As the creature was about to move on it noticed Emma and Patch sending them a sick grin showing its razor-sharp teeth that was covered in blood. 

  

Patch quickly turned into sword mode causing Emma to catch it yet she was terrified out her mind, she pushed through her fear and thought about the fame she would get if she killed this beast it was only one rank higher than C how strong could it be? 

 

So, with a roar she lunged at the Alpha and infused the sword with her Energy when suddenly the Alpha simply backhanded her out the sky. The force behind the slap launched Emma straight into the ground causing a massive crater to form. Once the ground settled it showed Emma was badly bleeding from everywhere her mind was slowly fading in between consciousness and unconsciousness. Patch was out her sword form and was standing in front of Emma protectively. 

  

"No patch run" croaked Emma out only to vomit out blood seconds later.  

   

Patch barked defiantly against the Alpha Land Shark who walked over to the fallen girl reaching its clawed hand at them slowly. 

  

"I guess this is the end of my life" whispered the girl. 

 

"No" said the girl as her eyes went fully open. 

 

She raised a shaking hand and grabbed a hold of Patche's fur pulling herself up in a sitting position groaning out in pain while doing it. 

  

"I'm not going to die on my back ill accept death! My pride as an Adventurer will not be broken!" shouted the girl defiantly. 

  

She looked through the blood escaping her head at the impending doom in front of her. Just as it was about to grab them a figure was seen jumping straight at the beast their right hand was engulfed in a blaze of black flames. 

  

"Demolition Fist" said the voice of someone. 

  

The figure delivered the flaming fist straight into the face of the Alpha Causing a massive explosion to happen! Once the explosion happened Emma slowly opened her eyes only for her mouth to fall agape, the Alpha that was mere meters away from her was now far away broken trees lay in its wake as a fist imprint was on its face, its eyes were white showing it was unconscious.  

 

The figure landed in front of Emma as she saw that the figures hands had black glowing tattoos with red outline at were the finger bones would be and three circles that had flames coming out the top of them was on the knuckle joints while his nails were black. 

  

"Who... Are You?' croaked Emma.  

  

She asked the figure in a gravel tone only to see the figure look over their shoulder showing their red colored eyes were glowing softly before she fell unconscious.
