After having an extraordinary meal, Harry returned to his room, fully contented.

He decided to spend his SP on charisma atleast till it crossed 50, because he wanted to atleast look a bit attractive before he could even think about proposing to Aoi. After all, he didn't want their pair to look like a pile of dung and a diamond placed next to each other.

So he spent his 5 SP on charisma and checked his stats once again.

When Harry saw his first two stats and the sarcastic comments of the System, he felt like digging a hole and burying his head in it because of the amount of shame he felt. He barely stopped himself from doing that after he saw his knowledge stat and his System's sincere comment.

He sighed with self pity and went out from his room. He asked the maid to call Hamilton. In the meanwhile, he wrote down the procedure on how to make glass in a parchment. 

Hamilton arrived and immediately bowed in a formal manner towards him.

"Your Majesty, please state your orders.", asked Hamilton.

"We are going to make glass Hamilton.", said Harry in an indifferent tone.

Hamilton was shocked. He thought that he must have heard His Majesty wrong. He politely asked, "Your Majesty, can you please repeat what you just said?"

"We will be making glass, Hamilton, glass.", said Harry.

"G..G...Glass?", repeated Hamilton.

"Yes, Glass.", said Harry.

"B..But, Your Majesty, glass is made by gods! No one knows where it is, leave alone how to make it!", said Hamilton in an unbelieving tone.

"Hamilton, bring some sand and these minerals. If you don't know what they are, then come ask me. I remember that we have four caves in the southeastern region of our town, am I right? There are these minerals in those caves. Bring this list to the backends of the town and I'll teach you how to make glass.", said Harry, while handing him the parchment.

When Harry's father had announced the splitting of Lyria from Andestein and how Harry will be the ruler of Lyria, there was an outcry amongst the people loyal to Harry's grandfather. Alfrendo had to justify himself, so he announced that the land was valuable as there were four mineral deposits.

But this was only partially the truth, because in this age and time, only metals like silver, gold and iron were valuable. The unusable metals and minerals in those caves were regarded as useless by the people in this era.

But for Harry, who was from Earth, he knew these minerals worth. There was saltpeter in these caves! Saltpeter! They could make gun powder! There were also minerals used to make glass in those caves. In Harry's eyes, those caves were a bag of gold, just waiting to be used.

After a while, Hamilton brought all the minerals in this list to the backends of the town.

"By the way, Hamilton, put up a post on the City Board that we will be needing people to build big mansions. Pay them twice the normal wages. I'll soon teach the builders how to build sturdy buildings."

"As you wish, Your Majesty.", replied Hamilton.

"Go call some trusted commoners for this Hamilton.", said Harry.

Hamilton immediately went to complete his assigned task and called three men and three women. They were couples. 

"Your Majesty, there were not enough men, so I had to call some women...", trailed off Hamilton.

"It doesn't matter Hamilton. Work completed is work completed. No matter who does it. Give them equal wages.", said Harry.

Hamilton had an astonished look. After all, in this world, women were not encouraged to work, and even if they worked, they got lower wages then men.

"All of you, listen up. We will be making glass! So you all have to pay extremely close attention to what I'm going to do. You will have to repeat this everyday to make glass!", announced Harry.

Power. Isn't that the one thing which people need? With money comes power, and with power comes money.

Harry, a boy who was abused daily by his father when he was back in Earth, dies just when things were looking good for him. A new job, a new life away from his father, all vanish in a second.

Sebagai Prajurit Api Level 14, Noa sangat akrab dengan tubuhnya. Bahkan jika Link tidak mengatakannya, Noa bisa merasakannya juga. Sekarang setelah Link mengeksposnya, dia secara naluriah mencengkeram perutnya dan memandang Hamilton, ayah anak itu.
Dalam Sekte Api, semua Prajurit Api harus bersumpah sebelum memasuki sekte bahwa hidup mereka akan menjadi milik dewa. Seluruh hidup mereka akan didedikasikan untuk dewa. Jika seorang pria dan wanita mengandung seorang anak, kepercayaan murni mereka akan ternoda. Ini adalah penghujatan terbesar! 
Jika itu terjadi dan mereka ketahuan, tidak hanya tubuh mereka yang akan menderita hukuman dewa, jiwa mereka juga akan jatuh ke neraka dan menderita penyiksaan Tatanrose. Setelah itu, mereka akan merasakan haus yang membara di dalam diri mereka. Air dingin akan berada tepat di samping bibir mereka, tetapi begitu mereka menundukkan kepala mereka, air akan mundur, naik ketika mereka mengangkat kepala mereka lagi. Siksaan ini akan berlanjut sampai jiwa mereka terbakar menjadi abu.
Sebagai seorang Prajurit Api, Hamilton telah dibawa oleh seorang pendeta untuk mengunjungi neraka. Dia telah melihat hukuman dengan mata kepalanya sendiri. Pada saat itu, dia merasa takut. Dia tidak menyangka hal ini akan datang kepadanya juga.
Ketakutan memenuhi hatinya ketika dia melihat ke arah Noa. "Tidak, anak ini..." 
Dia ingin mengatakan bahwa anak ini seharusnya tidak boleh lahir. Namun di tengah jalan, Noa melangkah mundur. Air mata mengalir ke bawah saat dia menggelengkan kepalanya dengan marah. Hari-hari saat mereka menjadi suami istri biasa terbayang tepat di depan matanya. Jika dipikir kembali, itu adalah tipuan, tetapi pengalaman mereka semua adalah nyata. Bayi dalam dirinya juga nyata. Dia tidak bisa menyerah.
Hamilton juga panik. Setelah kepanikan mereda, dia juga tidak bisa melakukannya. Melihat Noa seperti itu, dia menghela napas dan melihat ke Link. "Penguasa Ferde, kau sangat kejam... Apa yang kau ingin kami lakukan?"
Karena semuanya ada pada titik ini, tidak ada jalan kembali. Hamilton hanya bisa pasrah.
Link tidak bangga dengan trik kotornya. Setelah berpikir, dia berkata dengan tenang, "Aku sudah tahu kenapa kalian ada di sini. Kembali ke Pulau Dawn dan sampaikan beberapa berita kepada Peri Tinggi itu."
Dengan itu, Link menyerahkan sebuah gulungan kepada Hamilton, yang kemudian menerimanya dan mulai membaca.
"Aku menulis informasi di sana, juga tujuanku. Setelah itu, tetap tinggal di pulau dan terus bekerja untuk Peri Tinggi. Catat tindakan mereka untukku. Untuk hal yang pertama, kau hanya perlu melanjutkan tugasmu untuk melapor kepada mereka seperti biasa. Tetapi untuk yang kedua, kau harus bekerja keras."
Peri Tinggi di Pulau Dawn terlalu waspada terhadap orang asing. Situasi pulau itu tidak transparan. Link harus menghentikan penyatuan alam sedangkan Pohon Dunia adalah hal yang paling penting. Dia mungkin harus datang ke Pulau Dawn secara pribadi untuk menghadapi Pohon Dunia suatu hari nanti.
Maka, berita dari Pulau Dawn sangat penting.
Hamilton melihat gulungan itu dan diam selama lima menit penuh. Lalu dia bertanya, "Bagaimana dengan Noa?"
"Noa? Dia akan tinggal di Ferde. Kekuatannya akan terus disegel, tetapi dia akan memiliki rumah bangsawan di Kota Bukit Tandus dengan pelayan. Dia akan melahirkan anakmu dan membesarkannya. Selama kau melakukannya dengan baik, istri dan anakmu akan baik-baik saja."
Ini adalah trik kotor, tetapi saat-saat putus asa menyerukan tindakan putus asa. Link telah melakukan hal-hal yang lebih kotor sebelumnya. Link tidak sesuci dulu lagi.

"Ya," kata Link dengan jujur. "Jadi aku punya perlindungan lain. Piasce, tunjukkan padanya."
Piasce berjalan. Dia meletakkan cermin perak seukuran tangan di depan mata Hamilton dan bertanya, "Apakah kau melihat siapa yang ada di dalamnya?"
Hamilton mengangguk. Dia melihat bayangannya sendiri. Cermin itu sangat halus, dan gambarnya jelas.
Piasce mengambil cermin itu. Dia mengambil jarum dan menikamnya ke cermin. "Ah!" Hamilton berteriak. Dia memandang ke bawah dan melihat lubang muncul di kakinya. Darah mengalir deras.
"Mantra apa ini?" Hamilton terkejut.
"Kutukan Jiwa," Piasce menjelaskan. "Seseorang tidak hanya memiliki satu jiwa. Ia memiliki banyak bagian jiwa. Beberapa di antaranya merupakan inti jiwa sementara yang lain adalah pendukung. Salah satu jiwamu yang tidak penting ditangkap oleh cermin perak ini. Tidak peduli seberapa jauh kau pergi, bahkan jika kau pergi ke alam yang lain, aku bisa menusuk jantung orang kecil di cermin ini, dan kau akan mati juga. Tentu saja, tuan tidak ingin membunuhmu begitu cepat. Sebaliknya, dia ingin kau mengalami 3.000 kali siksaan sebelum mati. Itu berarti bahwa aku akan menusuk 3.000 lubang secara perlahan di dalam tubuhmu sambil berhati-hati agar tidak membuatmu mati di tengah penyiksaan..."
Hamilton ketakutan. Sebelum Piasce selesai, dia sudah berkeringat dingin. Dia dengan cepat berkata kepada Link, "Jangan khawatir. Aku akan menyelesaikan misimu. Tolong rawat anakku dan Noa."
Link mengangguk. Dia menjentikkan jari ke Hamilton dan bola cahaya terkubur di tubuhnya. Hamilton bergidik. Kekuatannya tidak disegel. Merasakan kekuatan melonjak di dalam dirinya, dia berdiri perlahan. Dia melihat Link tidak jauh darinya dan merasakan kekuatan pria itu. Ekspresinya menjadi gelap.
Penguasa Ferde ini hanya berada di Level 13, dan Penyihir di sampingnya hanya di Level 11. Jarak mereka kurang dari enam kaki. Jika Hamilton maju, dia bisa membunuh keduanya dan merebut cermin yang mengerikan itu.
Dia bahkan mungkin bisa menyelamatkan Noa dan anaknya dan menjalani sisa hidup mereka, bersembunyi di tempat yang sunyi.
Pikiran ini terus tumbuh di benaknya. Hamilton hampir tidak bisa mengendalikannya. Satu-satunya kekhawatirannya adalah dia tidak punya senjata dan tidak percaya diri.
Tapi saat itu, Link punya trik lain. Papan lantai dari pondok tua itu tiba-tiba terbuka. Tas kain terbang keluar. Itu adalah peralatan sihir yang Hamilton sembunyikan dengan cermat sebelumnya
Wus. Link melemparkan tas itu ke hadapan Hamilton. "Ambil barang-barangmu juga. Seorang Prajurit membutuhkan pedang."
Ini adalah penyelamat! Hamilton membungkuk untuk mengambil tas itu. Sebuah gagang pedang yang familier mengintip dari celah. Itu adalah Pedang Nyala Api miliknya. 
Senjatanya tepat di depan matanya. Jika dia mengulurkan tangan, dia akan mendapatkan pedangnya. Lalu dia bisa menariknya keluar dan menyerang Penguasa Ferde.
Pikiran ini melintas melewati matanya. Lalu dia melakukannya!
Mengabaikan rasa sakit yang luar biasa di kakinya, Hamilton menggenggam gagang pedang. Kekuatan melonjak ke dalam pedang. Bum! Api membalut pedang, percikan api berpencar ke segala arah dan menerangi pondok kecil itu.
Hamilton menggunakan semua kekuatannya dengan gerakan ini. Dia merasa bahwa langkah ini adalah serangannya yang paling sempurna.
Pada saat itu, pedangnya seperti bulan; bilahnya seperti air pasang. Kekuatan api mengalir deras, membungkus kedua musuhnya secara instan. Dalam 0,1 detik, dia bisa menghancurkan dua bajingan rendahan ini.
Dia benar-benar ingin melakukan itu.
Saat berikutnya, sesuatu berubah.
Penguasa Ferde sedari tadi duduk santai di kursi. Hamilton melihatnya tiba-tiba mengangkat tangan. Ketika tangan itu bergerak, awalnya tangan itu terbungkus kulit manusia. Dalam sekejap mata, tangan itu menjadi gelap dan ditutupi oleh sisik hitam keperakan.
Klang! Pedang yang memancarkan sinar bulan tiba-tiba muncul di tangannya. Pedang itu menusuk ke depan dengan kecepatan luar biasa, langsung mengenai Pedang Nyala Api Hamilton.
Trang! Ada bentrokan logam, tidak ringan atau berat. Kemudian Hamilton merasakan kekuatan aneh memasuki pedangnya. Dia bisa merasakan bahwa kekuatan yang menyusup itu padat dan tajam seperti jarum. Kekuatannya sendiri seperti gelembung penuh air. Kekuatannya meletus begitu jarum datang.
Wus! Api yang berkobar di sekitar Pedang Nyala Api mengeluarkan bunyi deguk dan kemudian menghilang. Kekuatan aneh itu tidak berhenti. Kekuatan itu mengalir di sepanjang pedang ke lengannya. Hamilton merasa lengannya mati rasa; dia tidak bisa memegang pedang lagi.
Klang! Pedang Nyala Api lepas dari tangannya, berputar, dan jatuh ke tanah beberapa meter jauhnya. Pedang dengan cahaya bulan terus bergerak maju, langsung menuju titik di antara kedua alis Hamilton. Dia mundur. Saat melakukan itu, ia menemukan bahwa Penguasa Ferde masih duduk di kursinya.
Penguasa Ferde sekuat itu? Dia hanya duduk di sana. Bagaimana dia bisa memukulku jika aku terus mundur?
Begitu pikiran ini muncul, dia melihat cincin dengan tanda yang sangat rinci menyala di sekitar ujung pedang. Ujungnya terkubur di dalamnya. Kemudian cincin ini muncul di hadapannya. Saat berikutnya, Hamilton merasakan dingin di antara alisnya.
Perasaan itu cepat berlalu dan menghilang, bersamaan dengan lingkaran rune yang rumit. Penguasa Ferde masih duduk di kursinya. Pedangnya sudah kembali ke sarungnya.
Hamilton menelan ludah. Merasakan tetesan mengalir dari dahinya, dia meraih untuk menyentuhnya. Itu adalah setetes darah — tidak lebih, tidak kurang. Serangan mengerikan itu seperti mimpi.
Bagaimana bisa ilmu pedang seperti itu ada di dunia? Bagaimana mungkin sihir semacam itu ada di dunia?
Tiba-tiba dia memikirkan Hutan Hitam. Saat itu, dia menghadapi beberapa Penyihir dari Firuman. Serangannya tidak bisa mengenai mereka, apa pun yang terjadi. Mereka semua tampaknya siap melawan aksinya. Meskipun mereka tidak sekuat dia, mereka bisa mempermainkannya seolah-olah dia masih kecil.
Ini semua adalah tokoh top Firuman, dan penguasa Ferde adalah salah satunya. Tidak, dia yang paling menakutkan. Oh, kebodohan apa yang baru saja aku lakukan?
Jika dipikir kembali, Link sudah memperkirakan ini dan secara sukarela memberi Hamilton senjatanya. Rasanya seperti memberi anak mainan. Tidak peduli bagaimana anak itu bermain, dia masih anak-anak.
"Kenapa kau tidak membunuhku?" Hamilton bertanya dengan sedih.
Link mengibaskan jari, dan Pedang Nyala Api terbang kembali ke tangan Hamilton. "Semua orang melakukan kesalahan. Aku biasanya memberi mereka kesempatan untuk berubah. Kembali ke Pulau Dawn, Hamilton. Aku selalu menepati janji. Aku akan menjaga anak dan istrimu."
Hamilton tidak mengatakan apa pun. Dia mengangguk pada Noa yang masih syok, mengambil tas di tanah, menyarungkan pedangnya, dan berbalik.
Setelah Hamilton pergi, Link berkata kepada Noa, "Nyonya, ayo pergi."
Jiwa Noa jelas lebih lemah dari Hamilton. Dia sudah menyerah. Setelah mendengar ucapan Link, dia mengangguk. Cahaya putih menyala di sekelilingnya, dan ketiganya menghilang.
Link tidak beristirahat setelah menyelesaikan urusan Noa. Dia berbicara dengan Gretel, memberi tugas kepada Eliard dan yang lainnya, dan kemudian pergi ke atap Menara Penyihir sendirian.
Semuanya sudah siap. Sudah waktunya untuk memasuki Lautan Hampa dan menemukan benda misterius itu.


Link adalah Penyihir papan atas di seluruh pusat data. Ia baru saja mengalahkan boss paling kuat, Tuan dari Kedalaman, Nozama dan partainya. Dan kemudian, Dia tidak  dibawa kembali ke desanya, tetapi ia dibawa ke lokasi rahasia yang diacak gambarnya dengan computer graphic (pixelated CG). 
Rasanya seperti tersedot dan terdengar suara megah dan berwibawa yang memanggil dirinya sebagai Dewa Sinar.  
"Link, maukah engkau menjadi penyelamat dari dunia Firuman dan menariknya dari jurang kegelapan yang dalam?" 
Suatu misi yang sangat besar! Andai saja ini ada di dunia nyata, Link pasti tanpa ragu-ragu sudah menolaknya. Tetapi dia sudah dinobatkan sebagai pahlawan dalam permainan ini. 
"Ya, aku siap!" Link menjawab dengan percaya diri.
"Kalau begitu, selamat berjuang" 
Dan lalu mulailah perjalanan magis, persahabatan, pengkhianatan, cinta dan putus asa dalam dunia yang selalu berubah, Dunia Firuman. 

It was not only Hamilton. Noa was also dazed.
As a Level-14 Inferno Warrior, she was very familiar with her body. Even if Link didn't say it, she could feel it too. Now that Link exposed her, she instinctively clutched her stomach and looked at Hamilton, the child's father.

Hamilton was just panicking too. After the panic subsided, he couldn't do it either. Seeing Noa like that, he sighed and looked to Link. "Ferde lord, you are so cruel… What do you want us to do?"
Since things were at this point, there was no way back. He could only surrender.
Link wasn't proud about his dirty trick. Thinking, he said calmly, "I already know why you're here. Go back to the Isle of Dawn and bring some news to those High Elves."
With that, Link handed a scroll to Hamilton, who accepted it and started reading.
"I wrote the information on there, as well as my goal. Afterwards, remain on the island and keep working for the High Elves. Record their actions for me. For these two things, you only have to follow the current for the former. But for the latter, you must work hard."
The High Elves on the Isle of Dawn were too xenophobic. The island's situation was not transparent. Link had to stop the fusion of realms while the World Tree was the most important of all. He might have to personally step onto the Isle of Dawn to deal with it one day.
In that case, news from the Isle of Dawn was extremely important.
Hamilton looked at the scroll and was silent for five full minutes. Then he asked, "What about Noa?"
"Her? She will stay in Ferde. Her power will continue to be sealed, but she will have a manor in Scorched Ridge with servants. She will give birth to your child and raise it. As long as you do well, your woman and child will be fine."
This was a dirty trick, but desperate times called for desperate actions. Link had done even dirtier things before. He wasn't innocent anymore.
Beside him, Piasce couldn't really take it. However, he'd once been a Soul Tutor in another realm and had seen these political tactics before. He didn't like it, but he still kept his expression calm.
Hamilton fell silent. Half a minute later, he said, "Aren't you afraid of me abandoning her?"
One only had to harden their hearts a bit to abandon a wife.
"Yes," Link said honestly. "So I have another protection. Piasce, show him."
Piasce walked up. He put a hand-sized silver mirror before Hamilton's eyes and asked, "Do you see who's inside it?"
Hamilton nodded. He saw his own reflection. The mirror was very smooth, and the image was clear.
Piasce took the mirror away. He took out a needle and stabbed it into the mirror. "Ah!" Hamilton cried. He looked down and saw a hole appear on his leg. Blood poured out.
"What spell is this?" Hamilton was shocked.
"A Soul curse," Piasce explained. "A person doesn't only have one soul. It has many divisions. Some are the core while others are auxiliary. One of your unimportant souls was captured by this silver mirror. No matter how far you go, even if you go to another realm, I can prick this little guy's heart in the mirror, and you'll be dead too. Of course, the lord doesn't wish to kill you so quickly. Instead, he wants you to experience 3000 tortures before dying. That means that I'll carefully prick 3000 holes in you while being careful to not let you die halfway through…"
Hamilton was terrified. Before Piasce finished, he was already covered in cold sweat. He quickly said to Link, "Don't worry. I will complete your mission. Please take care of my child and Noa."
Link nodded. He flicked a finger at Hamilton and a ball of light buried into his body. Hamilton shuddered. His power was unsealed. Feeling the power surging inside him, he stood up slowly. He looked at Link not far from him and sensed the man's power. His expression darkened.
This Ferde lord was only Level-13, and the Magician beside him was only Level-11. They were less than six feet away. If he burst forward, he could kill those two and snatch the terrible mirror.
He might even be able to save Noa and his child and live out the rest of their lives, hidden in a quiet place.
This thought kept growing in his mind. He could barely control it. His only worry was that he had no weapons and wasn't confident.
But right then, Link had another trick. The floorboards of the old cabin suddenly cracked open. A cloth bag flew out. It was the magic equipment Hamilton had carefully hidden earlier.
Whoosh. Link tossed the bag before Hamilton. "Take your things too. A Warrior needs a sword."
This was a lifesaver! Hamilton bent over to pick up the bag. A familiar sword hilt peeked out of the opening. It was his Blade of Fire sword.
His weapon was right before his eyes. If he reached out, he would get his sword. Then he could pull it out and strike at the Ferde lord.
This thought flashed past his eyes. Then he did it!
Ignoring the extreme pain in his legs, he grasped the sword hilt. Power surged into it. Boom! Flames wrapped around the sword, fire splashing in all directions and illuminating the small cabin.
He used all his power with this move. He felt that this move was his most perfect attack.
At that moment, his sword was like the moon; the blade was like a tide. The power of fire poured out wildly, enveloping his two enemies instantly. In 0.1 seconds, he could destroy these two lowly bastards.
He really wanted to do that.
The next moment, something changed.
The Ferde lord had been sitting casually on the chair. Hamilton saw him suddenly raise a hand. When the hand moved, it had been covered in human skin. In the blink of an eye, it darkened and was covered in silvery black scales.
Clang! A sword radiating with moonlight suddenly appeared in his hands. The sword stabbed forward with impossible speed, instantly hitting his Blade of Fire.
Cling! There was a clash of metal, neither light nor heavy. Then Hamilton felt strange power surge into his sword. He could feel that the power was condensed and sharp like a needle. His own power was like a bubble full of water. It popped as soon as the needle came.
Whoosh! The surging flames around the Blade of Fire let out a gurgle and then collapsed. The strange power didn't stop. It sped along the sword into his arm. He felt his arm go numb; he couldn't hold the sword anymore.
Clang! The Blade of Fire flew out of his hand, spinning, and crashed onto the ground a few feet away. The sword with moonlight continued forward, going straight to the point between Hamilton's brows. He retreated. While doing so, he discovered that the Ferde lord was still in his seat.
He's that powerful? He just sits there. How can he hit me if I keep retreating?
As soon as this thought appeared, he saw a ring of extremely detailed runes light up around the sword tip. The tip buried into it. Then this ring appeared before him. The next moment, Hamilton felt coldness between his brows.
The feeling was fleeting and disappeared, along with the intricate halo of runes. The Ferde lord was still in his seat. His sword had already returned to its sheath.
Hamilton gulped. Feeling liquid flow from his forehead, he reached up to touch it. It was one drop of blood—no more, no less. The horrible attack was like a dream.
How could such swordsmanship exist in the world? How could such magic exist in the world?
He suddenly thought of the Black Forest. Back then, he'd faced some Magicians from Firuman. He couldn't hit them no matter what. They seemed to all be prepared for his actions. Even though they weren't as powerful as him, they could toy him as if he was a child.
These are all the top figures of Firuman, and the Ferde lord is one of them. No, he's the most terrifying one. Oh, what stupidity did I just commit?
Thinking now, Link had already predicted this and voluntarily gave him his weapon. It was like giving a child a toy. No matter how the child played, he was still a child.
"Why don't you kill me?" Hamilton asked dejectedly.
Link wagged a finger, and the Blade of Fire flew back into Hamilton's hands. "Everyone makes mistakes. I usually give them a chance to change. Go back to the Isle of Dawn, Hamilton. I always keep your word. I will take care of your child and woman."
Hamilton had nothing to say. He nodded at the soulless Noa, picked up the clothes on the ground, put his sword away, and turned.
After Hamilton left, Link said to Noa, "Madam, let's go."
Noa's soul was clearly weaker than Hamilton. She'd already surrendered. Hearing Link, she nodded. White light flashed around her, and the three disappeared.
Link didn't rest after settling Noa. He talked to Gretel, assigned tasks to Eliard and the others, and then went to the roof of the Mage Tower alone.
Everything was ready. It was time to enter the Sea of Void and find that mysterious piece of gear.
　　


Link was the top Archmage in the entire server. He had just defeated the strongest boss, the Lord of The Deep, Nozama with his party. However, instead of going back to town, he was transported to a secret location with pixelated CG. 

It sort of felt like a vacuum, and within it came a glorious and commanding voice that calls himself the God of Light. 

"Link, would you be willing to be the saviour who will pull the World of Firuman out from the churning abyss?"

What a huge mission! If it was in the real world, Link would have rejected it immediately. However, he was bent on being the hero in game.

"Bring it on!" Link answered confidently.

"Then, best of luck." 

And so begin Link's journey of magic, friendship, betrayal, love and despair in the ever changing World of Firuman.

Seluruh mata orang di rumah itu seolah-olah menelanjangi Nadi. Mereka menatap Nadi dari ujung kaki sampai ke kepala. Membuat Nadi tidak nyaman.

"Aku hanya mengantarkan anak kalian ke sini! Jadi, jangan menatapku seolah-olah aku ini sampah yang menjijikkan!" Nadi menatap tajam semua orang di rumah itu. Lewis dia baringkan di atas sofa panjang. Wajah anak itu semakin pucat.

Seorang pria bertampang bule mendekat. Menatap tajam ke bola mata Nadi.

"Terima kasih! Kau boleh pulang!" ujar pria tersebut dingin. Nadi mendengkus. Tanpa suara dia berbalik dan hendak pergi dari harapan si pria bule. Namun, langkahnya terhenti ketika tangannya ditarik pelan oleh Lewis.

"Jangan pergi!" desisnya lemah, "Aku tidak akan lama! Temani aku semalam saja! Semua pasti akan berakhir! Please, don't leave me!"

Nadi memandang ke arah Lewis yang sekarang matanya berkaca-kaca. Lalu beralih menatap pria bule yang perlahan-lahan menjauh meninggalkan ruangan.

Seorang perempuan cantik dengan dandanan sangat mewah menghela napas panjang.

"Sampah memang hanya pantas untuk sampah!" Lalu dia pun beranjak meninggalkan ruangan tersebut. Tidak lama kemudian terdengar deru kendaraan di luar sana.

Hamilton, yang sangat terkejut dengan kedatangan Nadi hanya bisa berdiri mematung di pojokan.

"Kau hanya akan diam dan membatu di sana?" Nadi menghardik Hamilton yang tergagap dan terkejut. "Cepat kau antarkan aku ke kamarnya Lewis!"

Nadi kembali mengangkat tubuh Lewis. Dan Hamilton berjalan di depan mereka. Rumah tersebut sangat besar. Ada tangga di dua sisi untuk menuju ke lantai atas. Nadi tidak bisa menduga berapa kekayaan yang dimiliki si empunya rumah. Namun, rumah ini terasa gersang. Kering dan terasa sunyi.

Ketika mereka sampai di kamar Lewis, Nadi segera membaringkan tubuh ringkih tersebut. Menatapnya dengan perasaan bercampur aduk. Selama ini dia tidak peduli dengan penderitaan orang lain, tapi melihat Lewis yang terkapar tidak berdaya, dengan mulut belepotan darah, membuatnya menaruh simpati. Walau sangat kecil, tapi itu mengganggunya.

"Mana obatnya? Aku yakin, dia sudah lama mengidap penyakit ini! Cepat kau ambilkan!" Nadi kembali melotot ke arah Hamilton. Hamilton dengan cekatan mengambil apa yang dia minta. Terlebih dahulu Nadi menyuruh Hamilton membersihkan mulut Lewis yang berlumuran darah.

"Sakit apa, sih, dia?" Nadi bertanya penasaran. Hamilton menggelengkan kepala.

"Kau ini saudaranya atau bukan, sih? Sampai penyakit saudara sendiri kau tidak tahu!" Nadi mentoyor kepala Hamilton kesal. Lewis tersenyum melihat polah Nadi.

"Aku capek!" Tiba-tiba Hamilton berdiri, "Aku capek dengan semua ini! Kenapa harus aku yang selalu berkorban? Kenapaaa?"

Nadi terkejut melihat Hamilton yang tiba-tiba meraung. Dia menjambak rambutnya sendiri. Lewis berusaha untuk bangun dan menggapai tubuh Hamilton. Memeluknya erat.

"Semuanya akan berakhir! Sabarlah Hamilton! Kita akan pergi jauh malam ini! Nadi akan membantu kita!" Kilat aneh muncul di mata Lewis yang menatap Nadi dengan ekspresi menakutkan.

"Benarkah?" Hamilton menatap Lewis dalam.

"Benar! Aku sudah menyiapkan semuanya. Di balik dinding ini! Dan kita akan pergi untuk selamanya!" Lewis mencium bibir Hamilton. Hamilton mendorong tubuh Lewis ke kasur dan perlahan-lahan melucuti pakaian mereka. Nadi tidak percaya dia akan melihat hal beginian di depan matanya.

"Aku ingin Nadi memuaskan kita! Apa kau mau?" Lewis mendongakkan kepalanya ke arah Nadi yang wajahnya sudah merah padam menahan gelora nafsu. Dia benar-benar terangsang melihat dua sosok telanjang tersebut.

"Tentu, sayang! Apapun, lagian bukankah ini tujuan kita membawanya ke sini? Untuk memuaskan kita?" Kedua menyeringai dan Nadi tidak bisa menahan diri, dia segera menghambur ke atas kasur.

Dan desahan-desahan mesum bergema di dalam kamar tersebut. Waktu terus berjalan menjemput malam. Ketika jam menunjukkan pukul 10 malam, Hamilton dan Lewis turun dari kasur. Mereka membangunkan Nadi yang masih terkapar karena kelelahan.

"Kami akan pergi, dan tidak akan kembali lagi! Begitu kamu mendengar suara-suara aneh, segera pergi dari sini!" Lewis tersenyum dan menyerahkan sebuah buku kecil ke Nadi. Dia mencium bibir Nadi, diikuti oleh Hamilton.

Mereka mendekati dinding. Lewis memencet beberapa titik di dinding tersebut. Suara getaran mengejutkan Nadi ketika dia lihat dinding bergeser ke dalam membentuk pintu.

Mereka masuk ke dalamnya, sebelum pintu dinding tersebut kembali merapat, Lewis melambaikan tangannya. Lalu semuanya senyap. Nadi segera meloncat dari kasur. Dia sangat penasaran. Dia berusaha memencet-mencet dinding, menekan dan mendorongnya dengan kuat. Namun dia tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa. Tapi lapat-lapat dia mendengar jeritan-jeritan menyayat hati.

"Lewis! Hamilton! Apa yang terjadi?" Nadi berteriak panik. Namun, suara jeritan itu semakin menjadi-jadi. Sehingga pada puncaknya, dua jeritan bersahut-sahutan dan kemudian terasa sunyi.

Nadi masih tidak mengerti dengan apa yang baru saja terjadi. Lalu dia ingat buku yang diserahkan Lewis. Segera dia buka halaman terakhir.

"Kami pergi dan terbakar bersama di neraka! Biar tidak ada lagi penderitaan di muka bumi ini!"

Dan sebuah gambar dinding dengan pola tertentu tercantum di buku tersebut. Nadi dengan menahan getaran di hatinya menempelkan tangannya di dinding dan membuat pola seperti tertulis di buku. Lantai kembali bergetar.

Nadi terkejut melihat kobaran api di dalam ruangan tersebut. Bau daging terbakar sangat pekat. Nadi menutup hidungnya.

Kakinya terasa goyah melihat dua sosok tubuh tumpang tindih dalam keadaan nyaris gosong dan tidak bisa dikenali lagi. Nadi melangkah mundur dan keluar dari ruangan tersebut. Dinding kembali menyatu.

Dengan sekuat tenaga, Nadi mengemasi pakaiannya dan segera keluar dari kamar Lewis. Apa saja yang dia saksikan barusan tidak mampu dicerna akal sehatnya. Saking terburu-burunya buku yang tadi diserahkan Lewis terjatuh di lantai.

Tanpa halangan berarti, bahkan Satpam yang menjaga terlihat mendengkur di pos penjagaan. Nadi segera berlari meninggalkan rumah yang mengerikan tersebut. Masih dia rasakan cumbuan dan kenikmatan ketika bercinta dengan Lewis dan Hamilton. Namun, sekarang pikiran senang tersebut berganti dengan luka di hatinya. Tanpa bisa dicegah, air mata merembes membasahi pipi.

Di sebuah perbukitan, Nadi berhenti. Berteriak dan menjerit melepaskan beban di hatinya.

"Anjinggg!" Nadi meninju pohon kayu yang ada di dekatnya. Harapan untuk bisa mencintai dan dicintai musnah dalam sekejap. Tidak akan lagi dia temukan orang seperti Lewis dan Hamilton.

Hati Nadi semakin beku. Waktu terus berjalan. Sudah lima bulan berlalu, ketika tiba-tiba dia ingat dengan Satpam yang menjaga rumah Lewis. Bara dendam kembali berkecamuk di dada Nadi.

Malam itu juga dia mulai mengasah pisau.

After the airship lands, Mariah and Hamilton exited it, and found themselves on a room that could accommodate twenty trucks and the truckers would still have space to make a barbecue, a big "03" in painted on the wall.They are in one of Lil Rock reception center airships docks, each one made to support even 5 big military airships, with dozens meters of length, in comparison with them the small military transport airship that Hamilton is responsable is like a cat besides an lion. Looking at the empty dock, Hamilton said, "There is something strange Doctor Silvercliff, usually someone of the prison staff would welcome us, i have never found here this empty".

"Maybe some problem have emerged in the prison?" worried said Maryanne.

"I don't think that is the case", Hamilton look upwards and didn't move for 5 seconds, suddenly  he  facepalmed himself and said, "oh shit!, i forg...!", before end his phrase, an automatic door opens, 15 meters from them, from it emerges an humanoid entity, two heads bigger than an average human, but by any means was a human, what made this clear are two big pinchers stained in a crimson liquid on his face, a light green exoskeleton wraps his body, four legs, and four black lifeless eyes adorning his face.

"Oh my god!!" shouted Hamilton spreading his arms.

"What?!" said Mariah making a frown.

Looking at the intruder, Hamilton forced a smile on his face and said to the entity, as if he was a political on in times of election, "Didi you is so thin that i almost didn't recognize you".

Didi, aka the entity, is one of the staff who works at the dock 03, that Hamilton usually lands on the reception building. The humanoid insect looked at Hamilton and said with a robotic voice, "Oh Hamilton ... (chew sounds)... you have arrived on our lunch time", his voice sounded like he was speaking in front of a fan, while eating he evidenced the red fruit on his hand, "Thank you for the compliment,  i'm on a diet of only eat RedBagas...".

Didi looked at Hamilton side, this made Hamilton shivers, and seeing Maryanne Didi finally understand why Hamilton was so friendly. With a swift moviment, like an baseball pro player, Didi throw his half eat RedBaga and made a severe look at the shameless man, "We have not received the signal that you are arriving with a visitor".

"I can't believe that you are the same guy, as my granny said, time runs fast", spoken Hamilton trying to change the conversation.

Didi while comes near them, with his four slender legs, ignoring hamilton he looked to Maryanne and said, "Sorry doctor Mary Anne for this rushed welcome, the airship that brought you here, is responsible for noticing us when you are arriving, it's seems to have some operational problem", in the last half of his sentence, Didi sent Hamilton an accusatory glance, but Hamilton pretended that wasn't for him and made and an "i know notting" face.

"I understand Mr Didi, i came to know that airship defect on the way. At journey beginning i was troubled by it, but with time, i came to found it tolerable, would even say that this problem is a little entertaining", said Mariah, who liked to see the duo interaction, Didi looked like an older brothers taking care of his sibling mess. Hamilton listening the two calling him "defect" is making a face of one wronged prisoner.

Seeing that Marianne doesn't care about Hamilton inability to follow protocols, Didi is relieved that his friend would not be reported again because of his airhead, he said, "I am grateful for your understanding, i will notice the central and an administrative officer is come to guide you on your stay here in Lil Stone".

"Thanks Mr Didi".

While waiting, Mariah was told about Hamilton mistakes from Didi, like one time that lost his way to the prison, because, him had dropped some sauce from his snack on his airship paine and make the airship gps go crazy, making his superior office arriving late to an important meeting, the same officer made him cleaning the staff's bathroom for three months.

After ten minutes of waiting, Maryanne felt an buden on her back, dry throat, and out of breath, a heavy atmosfery appeared on the room, making the trio became alert.
Thump...thump...thump.
Steps starts to echo through the room, they aren't particularly heavy but everyone could clearly heard them

From on corridor  appear an Entomo, he has a black exoskeleton painted with red marks, his face has two big eyes on front, six smaller eyes are distributed on the sides making a ring formation around his head and four knife like fangs are on area of his mouth. Having the same height than one average human, one pair arms with three smaller pairs below them, he is more arachnid like than bug like, what made this clearly is an spyder abdomen behind the lower area of his back and glutes. Different from Didi manual labor oriented clothes, he wears a white shirt, red tie and an open trench coat.

Didi still could move and rigidly said to Maryanne,"the officer had arrived".


Looking to the officer, Mariah shivered and felt her heart beat on her throat, struggling putting her hand on the chest she take a deep breath and thought, "This must be the effect of a strong organism on a weaker", she take a step back, "this is truly dreadful the books aren't wrong".

Just behind the administrator officer, someone is following him, it seems to be his assistant, her size and clumsy atmosphere make a big, almost comical, contrast with him. She has 2.10 meters of height, a prominently grey with a little orange painted her bushy fur, addax horn like horns are on top of her head, long rabbit ears and a feline face adorns her figure. Holding a clipboard and wearing a brown coat.
Seeing who is the man sent to welcome Mariah, Hamilton shivers and regrets not going away sooner, he thought, "Shit!, of course, it had to be  him".

The officer slowly gets closer, he looked direct in Marianne eyes and said with a deep, robotic, husky voice to her, "My name is Heitor Anax Sofos, i am one of Lil Stone Administrative officer".

Heitor force of presence and voice made Mariah a little stunned, for even a civil like her felt his aura, he must be a big deal, "Eh...oh...it..It's nice to meet you Mr Anax".

Heitor bows in Maryanne direction and said,"Doctor SilverCliff sorry for my delay, it will not be repeated".

This act and Heitor voice full of sorrow, surprised Mariah, she trough,"Bowing!? What an abnormal act for anyone raised on the empire", she didn't expected this level of politeness and humility from a high officer of the empire, at least is her first time seeing on her live, she said, "Mr Anax you don't need to be sorry by this small delay, sometimes things happens and we can't control".

"i appreciative yours comprehension, but my delay is inadmissible", said Heitor while still bowing.

"I... er.." said Maryanne, not knowing how to act on this situation.

All of a sudden Heitor straighten his spine move moves his head in directions of Hamilton, who was sneaking out. A grave expression is formed in his face, not that Hamilton and Mariah as a human can tell, Didi on the other side, noticed and take a step away Hamilton, knowing what from his past experiences what is going to happen with his airhead friend.

Heitor said with an angered voice, "Off course that the pilot was you Hamilton".

Heitor elevates one of his six hands, Mariah felt something gathering in his hand, in a blink of an eye, bright circles and algebraic lines and forms appear in air. As the circle began to emit an crimson light from the reddish energy being inserted on it, Hamilton is raised from the ground.

Quickly Hamilton legs aren't touching the ground, and his face is painted in an unhealthy red color like an RedBaga, not because he is embarrassed by his mistakes, but, because he is losing air.

Maryanne eyes are wide open seeing him gasping for air while touching his own neck seeking a way to breath, she knew that the army is merciless with mistakes, but this is too much.

As he look direct to him with his black lifeless eyes, Heitor comes close to Hamilton and said, ""Staff Sergeant Hamilton! This is the second time that  you made me lose my face in front of someone.", as he speaks the angrier he gets, as his anger grows his body resonates emitting more pressure in those near him, "I Hope that this not happens again, because if happens!! I would made you literally lose your face! and that... that would be a crime." at ends of sentence Heitor eyes gain some of they clarity,  but he continued "....You don't want me go to the same jails as those criminals, don't you?".

When Heitor said the last sentence he close a little more his hand, making Hamilton face became more red. Even with her heart beating fast enough to her have fears of it exploding, Maryanne take two step in Heitor direction, but Didi put his hand on her shoulder, as she look at him, he shake his head to the sides.

This is the first time that Mariah found herself in a situation that a powerful person is mad, being lost she chose to follow Didi advise, what helped her in make this decision is Didi calmness, he didn't look too nervous with the situation, as it had happening many times before.

Hamilton while being strangled, struggles to say,"I don..d...dont wanna sir...". Receiving a answer, Heitor became more calm, and said, "Another six months cleaning this reception staff's bathroom should helps you think about your mistakes".

The Reception Center 03 has at least sixty soldier and dozen of staffs types, like mechanics, that is Didi case. They produce a lot of dirth, enough to make Hamilton gorff just by remembering it, if he could gorff, of course.

"Yes sir", said Hamilton already with a purple face.

"Good!", Heitor undo the crimson formation on the air and turn down his hand.With this, Hamilton falls in the ground and even before his lungs get full of air, he instinctively make a salute and go, while a little dizzy, to Didi side.
Heitor turned his back to Hamilton and walking away said, "Mr Hamilton you can't do something wrong and not be punished, rules are rules, starts follow them or i will follow you".
Marianne seeing the conflict not ending up on a murder finally relax. She thought,"Even me, a human, be incapable of understand any theory applied on Heitor's magic circle structure or what exactly his magic did to elevates and choke Hamilton, was like an invisible hand... weird. Heitor is truly unusual to an entomo. He use magic and bowed... he must be raised far from his queen".

After this event, Mariah felt that know she knew who was the officer that Hamilton made lose a meeting, she don't know if Hamilton was too misfortuned or too carefree, probably the later.

While Mariah was drowning on her throughs, Heitor is finally totally calm, he adjust his red tie and more cold-headed than some moments ago he look to Maryanne, "Doctor Mary Anny please come with me, in my office we can speak more privately". Maryanne come back to her senses and found Heitor addressing to who she thinks that is his assistant, "Miss Alanys decrease Hamilton fly schedule for the next months, he will be busy".


Alanys as she write it down something on her clipboard, nervously said,"Ye...Yes Sir Heitor! I will arrange his new schedule".

"Good".

Heitor start to walk way, Marianne signals saying bye to Didi and Hamilton, and followed Heitor and Alanys.

Heitor guide she by some doors and corridors, she soon arrived in a room with a cableway with the size of a bus, installed on one of the prison chains by a ring that circulates it, this ring look like made of thousand of small parts.

They come in the cableway and sit on some seats inside it. Alyne sit on a seat on the center, it has two levers, after her pulled a lever the ring outside becomes magnetized, stretching itself, now he didn't touch the golden chain and the cableway rises, now it don't touch the ground anymore. As she pulled the second lever, a door opens to the cableway and it starts moves to the huge rock on the other side of the golden chain.

When passing above the huge lake of lava, Heitor and even Alyne look like are in their backyard, but this was a new for Maryanne, felling a cold in the belly, she can't stop of thinking that the cableway will fall, and even in her best imaginary scenery, she would still become a medium beef.

"This will be a long ride...", murmured Maryanne.

In a time that the Empire, the greatest and mightiest nation that the world ever had, are at its apex and the world is in peace.

Maryanne, a psychologist, is called by the empire to cherish one prisoner, one that was forgotten by the history, or better saying, one that was erased of history.

When she was listening the prisoner life history she can't stop questioning herself of many incongruities. Why is necessary take care of someone taken out of history at first place? How this crazy old woman is a threat at the empire?.

But there is one question that she is the most curious about.

Why this old woman is so convicted that she is at a fictional series's world!!!

His father always makes him see a "picture-perfect" family they are, his father never scold her mother in front of him, but he knows when it's just the two of them, his father yells at her mother and insult her.

Raven loves her mother dearly; he always wanted to make sure she s healthy. He continuously checks on him even he is not living in their house. Raven still calls her and texts her. He is a proud "mama's boy" for a reason; nothing in her mother is wrong. For him, she is beautiful and intelligent, not what his father always saying when he insults her mother.

Raven quickly takes the stairs and knocks at the door, "Mother" he said loudly

Interlacing his fingers and placing them behind his head, Christian leaned way back in his chair, and for a second Cadence thought he might actually tip over. "Well, it was 1804. We were on a hunt in New Jersey. The war with the British was over, and we had won, but we still had fighting to do. The French had come to help, but they'd also brought in a slew of young Vampires."
"What is it with the French and Vampires?" Cadence muttered.
"Who knows? Heightened sex drive maybe? Anyway, we were in pursuit of a young female who had been doing a lot of damage in the farm areas in New Jersey. Hamilton and Burr were famous politicians at the time. In fact, Burr was the sitting Vice President of the United States. He was still very active, though. He had a drive; he wanted to kill every single one of them, and he was a deadeye. Except for this one time. It was just miscommunication. It was a lot harder to coordinate back then, without IACs or anything of that nature.
"So, Burr took a shot, and it should've been spot on, but just as he pulled the trigger, Hamilton crossed his path. He turned, and the bullet hit him in the stomach, lodging next to his spine. It was awful. Hamilton was not only an amazing Guardian with impeccable skills on the battlefield, he was the leader of the Federalist party. He likely would've become president someday."
"Wow, that's awful. Did he die right away?"
"No, he lingered until the next afternoon. Of course, we couldn't tell anyone what really transpired, and since Hamilton and Burr had been going back and forth in public for years, it just so happened that they'd already told a bunch of people they were going to be dueling that morning. Cover stories were a bit different then."
Cadence shook her head. "So Hamilton and Burr weren't really enemies then?"
"No, not at all. They actually found it quite humorous that everyone thought they were. They'd go at each other in public, in the newspapers, in political circles. But they worked quite well together when it came to hunting down Vampires. Until that day, anyway."
Cadence realized she was leaning forward in her chair, hanging on every word. "What did Burr do next?"
"Well, he was devastated. He blamed himself, even though there really wasn't much he could have done differently. It was an accident. The papers quoted him as saying that he had intended to kill Hamilton, but that was never the case, and I don't believe he ever said that. Rumor was that he went into exile, but I knew what he was really doing. He was looking for a way to bring Hamilton back."
Exhaling sharply, Cadence asked, "What made him think that was even possible?"
"No one thought it was possible. We'd not heard of any portal, any magic spell, or whatever, that could bring anyone back. But Burr knew that there were Guardians who had been around for thousands of years, and he thought, if he could find one, maybe they'd have some insight."
"And he did find one, then?"
"Yes, he did. He came back to the very spot where the accident had occurred a few years later, and having somehow managed to procure the remains, he waited for the blue moon to rise, and the portal opened."
"Wait! Was Hamilton cremated?"
"Nope."
Cadence shuddered. She'd seen lots of gross things over the last few years, but the thought of digging up a body back then before there were preservatives made her stomach feel queasy. "How did he manage to get the body?"
"No one ever asked, and he never said."
"Yuck. Okay. So were you there when the portal opened?"
Christian seemed to hesitate again, but eventually he nodded and said, "I was. He asked a few of us to come with him, to give him strength, to make sure he at least had a chance to apologize, even if Hamilton didn't want to come through."
"Did Burr know at the time that Hamilton wouldn't ever be able to go back?"
"No. If the older Guardian who first told Burr about the portal was aware of the stipulation, he didn't mention it."
"So when the portal opened, what happened?"
"There was just a beam of blue light, and we could see Hamilton there. He seemed surprised to see us, of course, but Burr didn't give him much of a chance to talk. He apologized and asked him if he wanted to attempt to come through the portal. Hamilton didn't hesitate; he walked right through."
"Wow! What was that like?" Cadence asked.
Christian rested his head on his fist on the table. "It was kind of weird, actually. It was like, the blue 'spirit' Hamilton stepped through, and then there was nothing. A few seconds later, the Hamilton in the open coffin just stood up."
"And he wasn't all decayed or anything?"
"No. He wasn't wounded anymore either."
"Wow," Cadence repeated, leaning back against her seat. "That's incredible."
Nodding, Christian said, "I've seen some pretty startling things in my life, but I think that was probably the most awestruck I've ever been."
"And he was just like his old self?"
"Yes, for the first hundred years or so, anyway. I didn't see him too often, but when I did, I notice that he seemed unhappy. All of the humans he loved were long dead, including his wife Elizabeth, and all eight of his children."
"None of them Transformed?"
"His first son, Phillip, had Transformed, but he was killed in a similar situation a few years before Hamilton died."
Cadence nodded but couldn't help but think that was awful luck. "So he wanted out. But he couldn't end it because of the portal."
"Right. Eventually, he asked a Hunter to put him to rest, and though he was shot several times, point blank, nothing could kill him. So tracing Burr's footsteps, he started looking for a way out. He's currently on Dr. Morrow's research team, but he comes and goes as he pleases and doesn't hunt anymore."
"And Burr? Did he just die of old age?"
"No, he was killed by a Vampire in New York about thirty years later. He'd had a stroke and could no longer defend himself well. Once the bloodsuckers found out, he was an easy mark."
It had never crossed Cadence's mind that she could have a stroke or a heart attack. But she did know that injuries could take time to heal after all, Cowboy Sam still wasn't completely healed from his plane crash and that had happened months ago. "That's sad," she muttered.
"It is. And it's sad that Hamilton is trapped here now. He said he couldn't remember exactly what it was like to be on the other side, but he knew he was unbelievably happy."
