Loyd grabbed a tray and started looking at what was on the buffet line. 
"You're a little early; haven't had time to get everything put out yet," the cook informed him while carrying another tray of food out.
"That's fine. You don't happen to have some more of that steak from the other day, do you?" Loyd had already gotten some mashed potatoes, gravy and some corn.
"Yes, I do. How do you like it, kid?" the cook went back to the walk-in and pulled out a tub of raw steaks.
"Would you think me weird if I asked for it almost raw?" Loyd smiled nervously.
"How bout I just get you some of the really good stuff then?" The cook smiled back going back into the walk-in and came out with a small plate of something. 
"This here is tartare it's a raw beef dish the guy made us cooks when he was here. I like my meat almost burnt so I didn't eat mine but you can have it now so it doesn't go to waste." The cook handed the small dish to Loyd who thought it smelled amazing. 
"Just crack the egg over into a well in the middle and enjoy." 
"Thanks, I will." 
Loyd walked over to a table and finished the tartare by pulling the egg out of its little crevice and cracking it back into it. 
"Okay, this smells awesome. I think I'm going to eat some before I reverse our link that alright with you?" 
Loyd had turned to his sister who was drooling with her chin resting on the top of his head.
"Yah, I'll still taste it either way, but that looks so good." She wiped her mouth and sat next to him.
Loyd smiled at her and mixed the egg into the tartare before taking his first bite. The meat almost melted in his mouth only held together by the egg he had just added. The texture was a little weird but the taste from both the meat and spices was amazing. Loyd was rather surprised that the tartare hadn't changed color all that much during its stay in the fridge but he didn't care.
"Wow, that's good." his sister sat there smiling and licking her lips. "Now it's time to reverse the link. Just think how it feels to connect to the simulator that should be a similar enough sensation."
"Right." 
Loyd took a deep breath and imagined the sensation of connecting to the simulator. He felt the link reversing and could see some of his sister's surroundings. 
"It's working."
He felt a connection taking place almost like the simulator but with more power behind it. He shut his eyes to concentrate on this new connection and when he reopened them, he was still in the cafeteria but he was also in some sort of underground room. He could control his body almost exactly like with his simulated CTAS but it looked weird and then the audio sensor kicked on.
"We have movement I repeat we have movement! The cockpit is open and I can confirm its empty but its arms are still moving!" The scientist stood on a balcony staring at Loyd a phone to his ear. "We can't hold this thing if it decides it wants to leave!" 
The man turned to a group of people behind him. 
"Unplug it! Kill it if need be."
"Don't let them unplug me!" Loyd's sister sounded scared.
Loyd tried to lift his arm but it was stuck. He looked down and saw it was held by a CTAS docking clamp. A rather flimsy docking clamp it turned out as he just tore it away from the gantry before trying to stop the man. 
"Don't unplug her!" His voice carried over the CTAS's own speaker system while his normal body just sat there eating.
"It's talking! Professor, it's talking!" The man turned back his face horror-struck. He dropped his phone as Loyd continued to free himself from the gantry. 
"It's trying to break out, sir! I've got to kill it!"
"You can't reason with them, Loyd! They will try and kill me either way!" His sister was getting even more scared.
"I won't let them kill you."
He freed one of his legs and stepped up to the balcony all the people were on. He looked back as he had felt a tug on his back and noticed a cable connecting to him. 
"That's the cord they're going to disconnect? How long will I have to move after they disconnect it?"
"A minute at most. I'm trying to find places to store as much power as possible." His sister sounded less scared and more determined now.
"That's plenty of time to climb that shaft and get to the base. We have power cables like this one there." Loyd laughed as he reached back and pulled the cable out of the wall hitting the balcony as the cable gave way.
"Stay away from me you monster!" 
The guy had dropped his wig now and was trying to get away from Loyd forgetting about the computer terminal he had been at. 
"I don't want you." 
Loyd turned back to the doors above his gantry and thrust his hands between them pulling them apart as he forced his body through. The lead doors gave way as he started his climb. He reached the surface after only seven seconds and he turned towards himself. 
"It's weird how I know where I am compared to your position."
"Fastest link path I guess?" His sister sounded tired.
Loyd grimaced and broke into a run, jumping over the facilities tall wall and the houses surrounding it. 
"Why would you have this place out in the open like this?" Loyd wondered.
"I don't know, just hurry. I didn't get as much power as I thought I had." His sister sounded even more tired.
"Shutdown your sensors. I can pilot blind until we get to the base. Then shut down your arms, for now, they take up power that we need." Loyd immediately lost his visibility and control over his second set of arms. He then took control back of his real body making sure to continue running with his sister. He stood and carried his now empty tray over to the cook. 
"Thanks, it was delicious if you ever get more tartare let me know."
After a hearty laugh, the cook took his tray and said, "Sure thing! You'll be the first to know about it." She then went back and put the tray in a sink full of soapy water. 
Loyd left the cafeteria just as the first wave of people came for lunch. He jogged over to the hangar where they had five gantries waiting for when some of the cadets had gotten their sync scores high enough to warrant getting them training in the real things. When he arrived two of the gantries were already taken up and the hangar staff was getting a third ready for another CTAS just outside the hangar. "Hey, we have another CTAS inbound get the fourth gantry ready!"
Some of the staff turned to look at him as the foreman came up to him. 
"What do you mean? The general said that we would only have three today?"
"The general just sent me to tell you that we have a fourth one incoming from the R&D labs, about two clicks northeast. They are controlling it via a remote connection thanks to some new hardware but they weren't allowed to put a reactor in it before sending it because of some inspection, so you need the gantry ready with a power cable." Loyd had sprinted most of the way here and barely got all that out.
"Alright, then we can have number four ready in twelve seconds." The foreman turned back to his crew and yelled. "Get number four ready as well. We have that special snowflake coming in from the R&D department." 
Her call was met with a loud cheer from the other end of the hall. She turned back to Loyd "We've been waiting to check this new CTAS out ever since it was first thought up. I mean we were told this thing was new and much slimmer but with more power than a standard type. How did they pull that off?" She just laughed as she opened the door in front of bay four. "Now how long do we have before it crumples and makes our job that much harder?"
Loyd smiled "Roughly seven seconds." 
He ground his heels into the ground in an attempt to stop himself and came to a stop just in front of the hangar. 
"And there it is." 
He walked into the hangar, ducking under the still rising door, and got into the gantry for them to connect the power cable. 
"Three seconds left."
The cable popped out of the wall and connected to the back of the CTAS, just as the timer he had hit one second. 
"Well, that was close, but I feel way better now."
Loyd could've sworn he felt the CTAS stretch a little bit. 
"Thanks for getting me away from those guys, bro. The next round of experiments was to see how quickly I regenerate my limbs." The entire gantry shuddered as Loyd disconnected remotely.
'So, my sister's a CTAS? This day got just a little weirder,' he thought as Loyd stood and stretched himself. The ghostly image of his sister reappearing in front of him. The only difference about his sister this time, was that she was just a miniature version of her CTAS form with a human face. 
"And she looks badass." Loyd walked over to the CTAS and just marveled at the sleek almost jet-like armor.
"Yeah, I gotta hand it to the guys over at R&D. They know how to make some beautiful CTAS." The foreman stood next to him examining the hull. 
"But it looks like the sensor sweeps a little big for the body. It almost looks like a head now." 
"Maybe it's just got better equipment in there that takes up more room?"
"Maybe." The foreman looked a little closer then shook her head. "Well, this thing's pilot was supposed to be some kid named Loyd or something. I've gotta go notify him now."
"That might be why the general had me run and tell you guys about it." He turned to the foreman and offered her his hand to shake. "Nice to meet you, I'm Loyd, the pilot of this bio-type."
"Well, I'll be. You're the bio pilot?!" The foreman shook his hand then turned to the rest of the hangar. "Hey, guys this here's the bio-type and its pilot!"

The swarm has been a fact of life for the past hundred or so years, especially after they managed to make planetfall. The subsequent evacuation was considered the only chance for humanity to survive as a species. We took to space like fish to water; it seemed to be in our DNA to explore the universe. Earth was quickly devoured while the escapees managed to reach Mars, the point of the first contact with the swarm, a planet that even they had left for greener pastures. We set up an outpost and began creating a colony, but the swarm was still in the back of our minds. They had our planet, and we wanted it back!

As Nel came out of the hotel, Percy and Annabeth swarmed him immediately. 

"Nel, what were you doing in there?"

"Nel, can we go in there for a bit? I think I need rest and that hotel looks like the best hotel I've ever seen."

"Don't be silly Percy. We don't have time to.... is that a city building simulator? Hey Nel, let's spend a day in there. It can't hurt."

Nel sighed and smacked Percy and Annabeth in the head. "Snap out of it. This is the lotus hotel."

"What about it?"

"I love lotuses. They are so pretty...."

"Annabeth. Use your brain for a moment and think. In which Greek myth does the lotus appear?"

"Erm.... the Greek myth about three children who are tired and sleepy wanting to have fun?"

"Shut up Percy. Answer me wise girl."

Annabeth furrowed her brows as she tore her gaze away from the lotus hotel with an annoyed expression. But very quickly, her annoyed expression quickly morphed into horror.

"Lotus Hotel.... the lotus eaters. Oh god."

Nel gave her a dark look. "You are lucky that I was the only one who went in."

"How....how did you even know about this place?"

"When I was six years old, a couple of my seniors went on a quest and got stuck here for half a year. Chiron has to send another group of people to rescue them."

"Why did you even enter? You do realize that if you got enchanted by the place, you would never come out?"

Nel rolled his eyes. "Oh please, I'm not one to fall for such temptations and besides, some rip off game about finding your parents is a very unappealing concept. And the reason why I went in was to get this."

Nel took out a green card from his pocket and showed it off to Annabeth and Percy.

".... a gambling card?"

"Hehehe, not just any gambling card, a lotus hotel debit card. This thing carries an infinite amount of money."

Annabeth stared at the card with a skeptical look. "That isn't possible Nel. Infinity isn't a concept that we can use when dealing with money."

"You don't believe me?" Said Nel with a smirk.

"It's illogical. It doesn't make any sense."

"Then watch me.... Hey! TAXI!"

Annabeth grumbled about how improbable this was while Percy glanced back and forth from Nel to Annabeth as if you determine who would win.

Nel loaded them into the back of the taxi and told the driver, "Los Angeles, as quick as you can."

The cabbie chewed his cigar and sized them up before scoffing. "That's three hundred miles. For that, you gotta pay up front."

"Take this." Nel said as he gave the card to the cabbie while Annabeth asked incredulously, "You take casino debit cards?

He shrugged. "Some of 'em. Same as credit cards. Depends on whether or not the card machine accepts it or not.... as for this one."

The cabbie looked at the green card skeptically. "I've never seen a card like this. Are you sure it's real?"

"Swipe it," Nel invited. "Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

The cabbie sighed and did.

His meter machine started rattling. The lights flashed. Finally an infinity symbol came up next to the dollar sign.

The cigar fell out of the driver's mouth. He looked back at them, his eyes wide. 

Nel gave a smirk towards the cabbie and Annabeth. "Told you."

"Where to in Los Angeles… uh, milord?"

Nel waved his hand in a noble way, "take us to-"

"The Santa Monica Pier."

"Why Percy?" Asked Nel with a raised eyebrow. 

"A water lady told me to go there."

"Ah, makes perfect sense. Take us to the Santa Monica Pier."

"Got it milord."

"You better get us there savvy if you want a five percent tip. Your rude attitude earlier was unsatisfactory."

"Sorry milord, I will step on it."

At sunset, the taxi dropped them at the beach in Santa Monica. There were carnival rides lining the Pier, palm trees lining the sidewalks, homeless guys sleeping in the sand dunes, and surfer dudes waiting for the perfect wave.

Nel took Annabeth to the nearest cafe as they waited for Percy to finish talking with the water lady.

"How is it going with your family, Wise Girl." Nel said while taking a sip of his boiling hot coffee.

"What?"

"Heard you got a letter."

"From who?"

"From you," said Nel while pointing to his head. "Demigod nightmare problems. We say everything that is going on in our dreams."

".... I don't want to talk about it Nel."

"Give you father a chance. At least it seems like he still loves you."

"You don't understand Nel-"

"I know I don't. I don't have parents. But you should still give them a chance. Plus, if your step mom or step siblings ever bother you, give me or Luke a call. We will go over for a nice little visit."

"....whatever. Let's just focus on completing this mission."

Nel sighed. "We have six days until the summer solstice and an infinite money card. What could go wrong?"

"Hades."

".... can't argue with that damn."

Her eyes snapped in my direction and a myriad of emotions flickered in her eyes. Surprise, shock, fear, anger and at last, shame.

I myself was feeling a lot of different emotions at once. Fear, disgust, apprehension, understanding, acceptance and at last, a bit of happiness.

Fear because of the giant mutant alligator in front of her.

It must be more than 10 meter in length and 2 meter in height.

And she had killed it.

And not only had she killed it, she was feasting on it.

Meaning that she was like me. A fiend.

Except her teeth and claws seemed much sharper to me.

At first, I felt fear when I saw her halfway inside the alligator's body as she ate while making a lot of noise.

It was a bit disgusting as well.

If this was how I looked when I ate then I really needed to commend Raka for his loyalty for sticking together with me.

But I doubt I made such a mess when I ate my food.

Then I realized the important part.

She was just like me.

Sure, she might be a stranger to me, but at this moment I felt rather close to her.

After all, I had never seen any one else who had evolved into a 'Fiend' like me. Not even in the B&S Worldwide.

I was afraid that I would never see anyone who was like me and would be discriminated against in the future because of that.

But to find someone who is like me.

It made me very happy.

On the other hand, I had no idea what she was afraid of. Nor why she was feeling shameful all of a sudden.

She had no need to be afraid of me. If the mutant beast she was eating was killed by herself and not by someone else, then she was obviously more powerful than me.

After all, even I would lose my life if I had to face a 4th tier mutant alligator. A beast like that would definitely be far more powerful than a 4th tier abnormal.

She wiped her blood from her face with a cloth and looked apprehensively at me.

"Umm… You woke up…" she said in a nervous and timid manner and I failed to understand how such a strong person could have such a weak personality.

She started squirming on her feet and I realized that I had been staring at her for a long moment so I cleared my throat in an embarrassing manner and said "Yeah… I woke up just now."

Then I bowed in front of her "Thank you for taking care of me. I owe you my life."

"I… it's nothing." She said and I wondered if this really was the girl who saved my life back then.

'She didn't seemed so nervous earlier. What's up with her.' I thought.

'Maybe she's nervous because you caught her while eating a mutant beast. Maybe she thinks that you'll be disgusted by her because of that.'

'Is that so.' I thought and decided that it made sense.

'Perhaps the people who she lived with earlier rejected her because of this evolution.' I thought and decided that I should do something that would put her mind at ease.

I walked forward, ignoring the way she tensed and went up to the mutant alligator and bent down with some effort.

"May I join in?" I asked and before she could reply, I opened my jaw wide and took out a large chunk of the meat.

I chewed on it a few times and turned to look at her to find her eyes had become as wide as saucers and her jaw had dropped open, which looked rather scary considering her hundreds of sharp canine teeth.

'Do I look so scary as well?' I thought with some amusement.

"You… you are like me?" she asked with a dazed expression and I nodded my head.

"As far as I can tell." I said and gave a 'toothy' grin.

"You… but…" she stuttered, trying to find the right words to say but not finding it. In the end, her eyes begin to tear up, and to my horror, she sat down and started bawling like a child.

'Oh nononono… what did I do now?' I thought with fear. I was really not good at consoling girls.

'You idiot. Go pat her back and ask her what happened to her.' Lily said in my mind.

I grimaced at her words but followed her advice nonetheless.

"Are you alright?" I asked as I approached her patted her back gently.

She sobbed for a bit but slowly her sobs subsided and she nodded her head.

"I'm fine now." She said as she took out a napkin from her spatial ring and wiped her tears. "It's just that. It was the first time I've ever seen someone else beside me who has the same evolution as mine."

"Really?" I asked and she nodded in return.

"The condition to being a 'Fiend' is to defeat a high tier abnormal in the Battle Simulator. And as you can already guess, not many people truly use their mouth to do it."

"Hmm…" I nodded my head. I had already guess about the 'condition' to achieving a 'Fiend' evolution. But I had no idea about how rare a 'Fiend' must be. "Surely there other people beside you who have achieved the same evolution?" I asked and her grimace told me everything I needed to know.

'It seems like you're are a rarity huh. Who would have thought.' Lily giggled and I ignored her words.

"I've only seen two 'Fiend' in the B&S Worldwide in my entire. But both of them live in different parts of the world. You're the first ever person who…" she said and then broke down into sobs once again.

I had a feeling that for some reason, she was treated rather badly for being a 'Fiend.'

And I did not like that fact one bit.

The reason was simple.

If people treat her badly because of her being a 'Fiend', then they might treat me badly in the future as well.

It was not a good news for me.

I went straight to combat training after noticing about that girls tail. Once I got inside the locker room I took off my jacket, hanging it inside my locker. Then I got changed into my combat suit, making sure all the components were properly in place. Once I was completely sure that everything was functional I headed into the spherical simulator. Inside the Virtual Combat Simulators (VCS) it uses a rotation-like movement to allow actual running, sprinting, jumping, and other movements not allowed with just a simple visor. The entire wall was a screen and the flooring was capable of simulating actual landscape. This one simulator cost enough money to make the country bankrupt which is why we had the smart mutants make it for us. My training consists of forest missions and missions in populated areas. I've received training courses for wilderness survival, how to survive without food and water, how to take down hostiles, and also deception training. My partner, Laundrey "Hawk" Peugh, walked into the simulator after a minute or so and stood next to me. "Are you ready for today's training," he asked me adjusting his tactical gloves. "I'm always ready Hawk. You just make sure that I'm not being followed this time," I told him back observing the gymnasium space around us. "Remember you're recon. I'm the fighter. As long as you give me the info I need no one will stop me," I said looking over at him. Landry had the ability to shift parts of his body into those similar of a hawk and also become a hawk completely while keeping extreme eyesight. He was assigned as my combat partner because he's better at stealth than punching people in the face then ripping out their throats like me. We've been friends ever since I got here. He walked up to me first day since he could see my power because of his powerful eyesight and thought I'd be a great friend. We eat lunch together, do combat training together, study together, and basically do anything and everything together. Currently we are such a great team that we are already working on our graduation test. If we can pass it we'd be the first freshman to ever make it through the test and skip the rest of high school. "So which mission should we do this time," he asked turning into a hawk and perching on my shoulder. I thought for a few seconds before saying "let's try the hotel scene based around deception and seeing through being deceived." Once I said it the simulator automatically shifted to form the mission area. Once it was done I got ready transforming my combat suit into a tux. Then I walked up the marble stairs ready to be deceived.

Wang Lei noticed Tira twisting her arm, trying in vain to release her wrists from Li Na. But Wei Li Na didn't even seem to notice. Wang Lei thought it was rude for a man to touch an unrelated female in that way. He gave Wei Li Na a glance, but didn't say anything. Turning his attention to the guards instead, "I will escort them to the camps. Have ten men follow us." 

Goachang was newly conquered territory. It was still potentially dangerous for Imperial officials to walk around unaccompanied. Some locals were resentful. There could be rebels lurking in the dark waiting for a chance to assassinate. Even with so many Imperial soldiers in the area, Wang Lei did not dare be careless, which is what made him the best. 

Wei Li Na had a cheerful skip to her step, she walked ahead of the group. Not the least bit worried about going the wrong way. She leisurely took in the sights of the streets, that immediately emptied of people once they saw the rows of armed soldiers walking on the road. Windows and doors shut. Even some storefronts brought down their signs, careful to avoid the gaze of General Wang Lei. 

Wei Li Na didn't know, but in the last few days Wang Lei had already accumulated a reputation for himself as a blood thirsty devil. Since he was in charge of purging the city of rebels, spies and useless city officials, he personally ordered interrogations, arrests, punishments and executions. The people of the city saw him as the young master who brought hell to all he encounters, like an auditor. 
Meanwhile, the Senior General Li TengFei kept his hands clean of the bloodshed, and maintained an image of one that was valiant and magnanimous. The figure of the Imperial Army to approach when the city officials had grievances. The one to curry favor from and send your daughters to bed or marry. 

When they reached the city walls, Wei Li Na looked up to admire the wall of horror. Rows and rows of staked and hanged bodies, all the handy work of Wang Lei. Wei Li Na browsed the macabre display, finally spotting a familiar yellow robe. That should be the body of Saint Tami, his head and limbs all severed from the torso. Wei Li Na's eyebrows slightly raised, astonished at the brutality. She stole a glance at Wang Lei, young, stoic and upright walking casually, she now saw him in a new light. Although she had no pity for Saint Tami, she long suspected him to be a swindler and child trafficker, but the way he died was too horrific. 

As they entered the camp, several soldiers stopped in their tracks, dropped whatever they were doing to give a cupped hand salute towards Wang Lei. The general was in plain clothes, but was easily recognized by all. Walking towards the command tent, there was a large and noisy crowd gathered and the presence of General Wang was soon overlooked by most. 

Pushing rudely towards the front of the crowd, Wei Li Na saw a lively game of combat. Choose your own weapon and fight one-on-one. Her tiny heart fluttered, this is exactly like the fight games she used to play in the simulator. She had logged at least 18,000 hours playing fight games against fighters created by computer algorithms. She and her favorite weapon Star Born have defeated countless game characters. And now she can watch the real thing right in front of her eyes! 

Wei Li Na's entire body was reverberating with excitement. Her hands were balled into fists, whenever a fighter executed a good attack or made a solid block, Wei Li Na reacted by bouncing a little on her toes and giving a little clap. She was too engrossed watching the fights that she didn't know the way she was acting looked too girlish. Fortunately nobody noticed her, all eyes were on the ring, except for one pair of eyes belonging to Senior General Li TengFei who immediately saw her in the crowd. 

The rules of sparring were simple. The fights were a way to pass the time and let the soldiers have some fun. Nobody actually wanted to get hurt before they even reached the battlefield. So the rules for this fight game was very humane. All the weapons were wood and bamboo, blunted at the end. First opponent to have any part of their body touch the weapon of the other, loses. It could be a graze or a heavy blow, it did not matter. One strike and you're out of the ring. 

Wei Li Na wanted to join so badly. But she saw the que, so many others wanted to fight as well. It would take forever to wait her turn. Then she looked at the roaring crowd, the heaving sea of men with captured attention, mesmerized by the fights, was too intimidating. It made her feel timid, she wanted to shrink her head back like a turtle. She'll settle for being a happy spectator instead. 

A four time winning streak just occured. In the middle of the ring was the winner, a short but well built man with his upper robe tied around his waist. Sweat glistened on his meaty torso, as he raised both arms in the air in arrogant victory. There was no prize for this game, only bragging rights, so this short fighter was soaking up all the glory he could. Wei Li Na thought he looked like a boiling kettle. Strutting back and forth, Player Short Kettle was calling out the next challenger. Some of the men at the que were considering. Bets were calling out, it sounded like the crowd wanted somebody to shut down this arrogant boiling kettle, and end his winning streak. 

"I, General Li, wants to nominate a contender." It was Li TengFei, he moved closer to the center of the crowd. Many of the men respected him and actively agreeing to whatever he suggested. She was suddenly yanked from her anonymous place in the crowd and pulled into the ring by a large hand. A heavy arm rested around her shoulders, trapping her in place. "Commander Lou, this small one will be your opponent!" 

Commander Lou stared at Wei Li Na, a short and skinny youth. A fair face delicate like a girl, dressed in the uniform of a new conscript. Was General Li joking? Did the general want to embarrass him by making him beat up an errand boy?

This is the story of a lazy, pervert from space, a loyal and filial daughter, on her mission to save her ancestor from extinction. She travels back in time with a mission: rescues ancestor uncle from war, work hard to find him wives, and ensure the continuation of the bloodline - at all costs! In the meantime, who are all these generals running after her?! Does she owe them silver?

The club had before received two million credits through an anonymous donation and after consulting the staff at Yunbao branch, they finally decided to use the money to construct a new facility—

An outdoor venue for the aquatic races.

Not only would it come in handy as the number of aquatic race cubs increased in the future, it would also let the existing Mermaid and Moye cub have a more free living environment.

To build an outdoor pool of moderate size and connect it to the pool inside, would only cost them approximately one million credits.

Included was also an invisible shielding barrier which could protect the cubs from rain and wind when needed. The barrier was the kind that automatically deactivated when not required, which was very convenient.

The rest of the money was spent on an environment simulator, which was even more expensive than building the new pool and required them to take a little from the money Xie Tao had previously acquired for the club.

Although it was a large expense, Xie Tao still decided to do it after considering all aspects of the situation.

At present, the funds to maintain their club's daily operations were still very adequate. It was therefore quite reasonable to spend money on essentials such as the new facility and the machine, they had all agreed on that.

Professionals were hired and it took a few days before the new outdoor pool was finished.

The installation of the environment simulator, however, did not need as much time and was done before the end of the day. Once the construction of the new pool was finished, Xie Tao and several of the other caretakers brought the cubs over to show it to them.

After the announcement, the two teachers started to summarize what things they should pay attention to in the survival and how they should follow the team leaders orders at all interval.

While most headed for the library, Daniel went to the holographic chamber for his exam. All the information Professors gave them he came to the conclusion that the most probable location for the exam was the hard difficulty, desert locations and hell difficulty one, God's abyss.


And God's abyss must be one of the most probable options. The higher up won't care about what normal people suffer in there. It will mostly be a training ground for the genius and seeded students who could be selected for the next round.


So it was necessary for Daniel to reach at least 7 stars before the exam. With his current worth at hands, he could barely reach intermediate 6-star warrior. 


But he has a trump card. The principal of Hunter school is a spirit warrior. He was impressed by his abilities and gave him a test.

Each cabin is a separate simulator which can be directed through the server and computer in the next room. GE is the foundation of the simulation. The higher GE one has, longer can he stay in the simulator.

For someone in warrior stage he can barely stay for 2 hours in the simulation after that they are forcefully ejected out of the system.


When he entered the room, the operator of the room greeted Daniel," Are you here for you daily practice bout against a third rank monster. 


Last time you took down a third rank saber tiger. It was a cat similar to a sabertooth with a much bigger body. It is about three meters tall from the ground to the head and seven meters long from his nose to the tail. 


His tail was two meters long and could even smash two inches thick iron plates. 


It took Daniel to complete one hour forty minutes to take down such a powerful beast. It was a truly magnificent display of smart and power he employed to take down that monster.


Past while facing the saber tiger,


Daniel was standing facing the saber tiger who has discovered his presence through its sense of smell and appeared in front of Daniel. 


It circled around him. Although they were in a forest it's giant body took down all the trees on its path and never left his eyes off him.


Daniel didn't raise his guns at him but he too didn't take his eyes off him. 

He has simulated the wind attributes in him to increase his speed while thunder at the same time to increase his reflex actions speed.


Then saver tiger jumped at him which Daniel barely dodged. He then used the short knife in his thigh pocket and gave a sharp cut on his foot.


Although the wound wasn't deep it was enough to disrupt some of his movements. But soon his flexible tail impacted him on his chest and he was sent flying in the air. 

This gave him time to pick up his gun and sent three quick shots at him. 


Each of fire attributes attack. But it only wounded it's forehead at the side and dodged all attacks in the center of the forehead. 


But the misfire didn't disappoint him. He then sent two thunder shots at its nose. Soon it's one eye and none were injured. Affecting his sense of smell and also his vision. 


Now he speeds up his attacks and started to attack his wounded legs and disbalance him. 


He used the wind and thunder attributes to stimulate his body and dodge the attacks while attacking his weak parts of its legs. 


After all the bigger the body the more pressure is exerted on the legs and of the legs are injured he wouldn't be able to move and become an easy target.


Even if its senses are injured Daniel being a 5-star warrior while facing a monster on par with master warrior his attack wasn't powerful enough to wound him in one hit.

The tiger itself sent some fireballs at him since he managed to dodge all his close range attacks. these fireballs managed to burn his hair and clothes slightly.


After an hour of the attack, he immobilized him and then with his special gun attack of tri attack which hit it's the most wounded part he managed to take down the tiger.


This operator was overseeing the battle and based on this battle the principal decided to give him a special test and see if he could complete the task or not.


This task is not a power battle but it tests his strat give mind. He will be head of a simulated town and with a limited master warrior, he has to protect the city from a monster invasion.

Daniel Soul has a dream of becoming strong so that he could fight monsters and protect
 his family from the outside threats of monsters and their possible invasion. 


As he grows old soon he sees that the world is much bigger and it is at a state of risk. How will he protect his world?

Evangeline can barely screamed at him, voiced croaked as she spoke.
 
All of her bitterness and regret burst forth just like an open dam. She knew it was useless, but she just wanted to know a question she asked herself so many times after finding out about their affair. 

Looking on to the floor with lifeless eyes that finally gave up on fighting.
"Why HER? Why not me? What did i lack for you to not choose me? I loved you since we were young. My whole world revolved around you. Whatever i did was aimed to please you. SO WHY HER?! Did you ever even a tiny bit liked me?"As tears started to form her eyes but she looked down so no one noticed. 

"You never really loved me. You were raised to love me. You were trained and taught how to be the future CEO and matriarch of both the Takashima and Kawasaki family. You loved the idea of being married to me. Not me as myself. When we were children i really liked you and I used to think you were the perfect partner. And as I grew up you began to change. You turned cold and calculating. Did vicious things under my nose. You started to turn into someone i didn't know anymore. You constantly pressured me to become perfect and to live up to you standards. I thought you loved me and was thinking it was for my best interest, and so i tried my hardest to fulfill your wishes. Until finally you achieved your goal of turning me into a cold, cunning robotic like man. Your so-called " PERFECT CEO"."He frowned and his eyes filled with disdain and resentment. "I though that was love snd care for me until I met Asuka. And for the first time in my whole life I felt what love really was. I can be who I really am. She didn't know who I was then and opened my world to what it really is enjoy life filled with happiness and love. To be selfish. To share each others burdens and show weakness in front of them with no one to judge you. To be a normal. To have a heart." He smiled as images of warm memories flooded his mind.
"Not the perfectly crafted CEO image who can never show weakness and never bend under any pressure! To be cold, calculating, and merciless. Its not who I truly am and will never be. It was only an image I need project to secure the position as heir to the Kawasaki Corporation!" He seethed angrily.

Upon hearing his answer, Evangeline was shocked and didn't know what to think. Her mind a mess of things. What he said implied that everything she did only lead him to despise her. So it was all her fault? Because she wanted him to be the best it drove him to hate her. I really was her fault. Her fault...

Realizing this it let Evangeline into a trance of self blame and hate. As she was stuck in her thoughts, Kenji spoke coolly,
"So now that I have answered every bit of your questions. Out of the gratitude of helping me acquiring the position I'll grant you a swift death so that we can finally put a stop to you suffering." He then turned and said to the man in a lab coat. "Doctor give her a 5x the dose of the Lycoris-drug."

"Right a way boss!" The man nodded and left. 

After a few minutes he came back with 3 vials of clear liquid and a larger syringe. One by one he drew the liquid form the vials until the syringe was full. He then came to near to Evangeline's arm and carefully inserted the needle in vein of her arm. The he began to pump the medicine inside up to the very last drop. 
Because she was in a trace she didn't even realize she was slowing slipping away. Everything turned dark.

As she was floating in darkness, she felt a sudden for pull from behind, and then a sudden flash of light came into view. When she opened her eyes, what greeted her was an sight of a very beautiful girl with white hair bending over and holding her hand.
Then it suddenly came back to her, she was talking to this girl about changing her fate or something.

"Soooo, how was the trip? Did we have a nice sneek pick to future?? And can you comment on your experience with new future simulator just now? I need to write a report regarding the new product."(*^ω^*)

"....Wait... how long was I out? And what simulator? Are you telling me what I experienced just now was just a simulator and not really the future?!"

"Wow! Wow! Chillax lady, you were out for about 5 mins. You were standing with you eyes closed and sweating ALOT and i had to hold your hand the whole time! It also made my hand all sweaty and sticky too! Can you imagine having to hold an overly sweaty hand for 5 full minutes! It was like sinking my hand in a bucket filled with sweat!"
