It's hard to find an English equivalent to this term, especially when used in many different situations and contexts throughout the novel. I have decided to go with Overgeared for the title and for when it is used as a noun, etc. a guild name. However, I will go with 'item effect', the most accurate meaning, for when it is used in a sentence.
This is a vrmmorpg novel and while it has some of the obvious stereotypes and unrealistic parts, it also does some things differently. People might get annoyed with the mc's character at first, but he does get a lot of character development. In fact, some of the fun of reading the novel is seeing the MC's character grow. I think that people who are fans of VR novels like Legendary Moonlight Sculptor and Rebirth of the Thief will enjoy this novel.
Furthermore, please keep in mind this novel picks up in readability after chapter 90.

Madara's departure didn't affect the daily life of the Konoha civilian in general. Everything goes just as it is. The time flies as usual. The only difference is now how smaller the Uchiha's rights have become in Konoha.

After a few days of travel without incidents, I finally arrived to Southtown.
Along the way, I had continued to study my notes about the language while walking, so it would be easier to talk with the inhabitant. When I saw Southtown, I though that it was good for a middle age town. I walked around the town for an hour, getting familiar with the basics of how people lived there. There were more than a few traveling merchants and peddlers passing through with their carts or carriages.
Thinking of merchants, and thus currency, it was different from the game.
There were copper, silver and gold coins, and the currency was called drak, most likely from drake, a reference to the divine dragons. 1 copper coin was 1 drak, 50 copper coins for 1 silver coin, 50 silver coins for 1 gold coin. And just like the currency was different from the game, so was the prices of items. A weapon costing more than 500 drak would at least be made of silver.
The question of money also brought to my mind how I was going to earn a living.
While I could hunt and sell my catchs, it wasn't the best thing for me to do. First, I wanted to improve my combat skills through training before jumping into more dangerous situations. Hunting had its own risks. Second, I was primarily a crafter. I needed to improve my alchemy and runes skills, and I wouldn't have the time for that if I went hunting. I had to earn my keep while using those skills.
Thinking about a profitable crafting occupation, I was reminded of The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. It was the first VRMMORPG novel I had read, and it remains my favourite. The protagonist, Weed, had started his path as a Moonlight Sculptor by selling his small wooden statues on the side of the road.
I thus decided to use my alchemy to make sculptures, use the runes to enchant them with some small effects, like glowing in the darkness, and sell them to make money. In fact, I decided that all my artwork would glow, and my artist name would be Moonlight Sculptor.
I settled to the best inn of the town. A room cost 35 draks per day, breakfast and diner included, and I had 100 draks with me. I paid for the first 2 days. I was pretty sure I could earn at least 100 draks daily with my plan, so rent wouldn't be a problem. From then, my life in Southtown started.
Everyday I would spend some time talking to the various people of the town.
Part of it was to learn the language. The inhabitants got used to see the foreigner who would walk to them for a small chat, and correct himself or add some notes to his notebook about the language. The other part was to learn what else was different when compared to canon. I discovered that I had arrived at around the right time period, with at most a year before the attack on Southtown, where Chrom and Robin would fight together for the first time.
I didn't know the age of the characters, so I didn't know how old they were during the game events. I estimated that Chrom was around 18 years old, and Lissa being around 15. Surprise, I learned that it was exactly their age. Since the town hadn't been attacked, it would happen within 12 months at most. I was relieved because it gave me some time to prepare myself.
My business as the Moonlight Sculptor was good.
My first night at the inn, I worked on the runic scheme to make an item glow in the dark. It needed some kind of brightness activated trigger, or a some kind of timer to make the object glow only during nightime. Unfortunatly, that was still beyond me. I could only make something glow until it ran out of magic.
Then I facepalmed. In my former world, to stop an electrical item from consuming electricity, you had to open the circuit. For my statues, a moving part that would complete or cut off the runic scheme was what I needed. A simple mechanical switch. It would still run out of magic and require recharging, but it would be good enough for sale.
The next day, I left early in the morning to find the right material to use. There was a river passing through the town, so I went to look for large stones around its shores. I made good use of the structural analysis to find the ones with the best quality. There were many kinds of rocks and stones there so I was certain scanning so many of them would help improve my alchemy skill.
I found 5 big stones and 4 small ones of decent enough quality to work with. I first merged them together, then separated them again into 5 identical blocks. Each block had a size of a pack of 6 small soda bottles. I didn't know the value of art in that world, but I was thinking that a statue of that size would sell for 40 draks at the very least, so 5 of them would give me 200 draks for a day. After all, a pair of shoes, a bottle of wine or a bow were sold for at least 30 draks.
The alchemy skill gave me an excellent mental visualization ability. I could make precise 3D images of the finished product in my mind, and overlap it with the raw material. Then, I just got rid of the excess until the real product matched the mental image, or compressed the excess for more durability.
The first statue I made was a pegasus taking off. I would have liked to make a pegasus knight, but it would take more time and skill than I was comfortable with. The second was a flying wyvern, the third was a griffin resting on the ground, the fourth was a howling direwolf, and the fifth was a knight. It took me nearly 6 hours to make all of them, including the runic scheme and the switch.
The runic scheme was hidden in the base of the statue, and the switch also served as a recharge point for the runic scheme. There weren't runic lights around, so I didn't want my idea to be stolen before I could sell it. And I could only sell it once I got some power myself, like after joining the Sheperds and being aquitained with Emmeryn.
On the base of each statue was the Moonlight Sculptor symbol: A crescent moon with a crossed hammer and a chisel on its dark side.
It was around 3 in the afternoon when I made my way to the market place. It wasn't hard to find a merchant that was only passing through the town and moving toward other big settlements. After showing my statues and demonstrating how they worked, I was able to sell them all for 500 draks. I didn't forget to give my artist name and point out my symbol, as I was sure it would slowly spread ammong rich merchants and nobles. They like to show of their goods.
With how much I could earn, selling statues every 2 days would be more than enough for rent and food, and would give me more time for something else. Like training.

He died. He found himself in another, familiar world, ready for a new life. He has a gamer cheat. He is going to enjoy his new life.

Slow updates

I just felt like I should talk about this.  I'm not dropping this novel to any of the little reader actually reading this.  I'm just barely inspired to write making me take a couple days before I write.  It also takes me a while to write a chapter with one of the main reasons being that I'm writing this on a phone instead of a computer where I can type faster with fewer mistakes.  


Another things is to tell people that I made some changes to past chapters making Gina, Noah's sister, have a daughter and a fiancé.  I then also phrased things differently when I looked back at certain parts of old chapters fixing grammar for some.

I'm using this novel to find techniques I could use to reduce writing things I feel like are redundant.
Lastly, when I think about writing something I'm usually thinking about other novel ideas I want to write, but don't because I don't want to ruin it with how I write the story.  This is why I made this novel, to practice trying to write a good novel.



I just wanted to tell any readers what I'm thinking about for novels.
here are my current ideas ranked by how much I really like it:
1. A novel like Vampire system(where someone gets a system that makes them non human)  I want to do that, but change how it is like to make it be inspired by it instead of a copy of it.  This story is going to be about a boy who gets a system turning him into a droconian basically.  He gets the ability to turn people into Fantasians.  A race that is made up of groups like werewolves and elves.  The setting is going to take place in multiple academies for some of the parts and the outside world in other parts.  There is many changes that I don't want to spoil, but I feel like it would definitely make it different from the novels like it(Vampire system and Great demon system).  The characters are going to change, but the overall mood and tone of the characters should still end up being similar to how they are at the beginning (this is just my way of saying don't leave when a character becomes too dark. Its just an important phase that should not appear again.)  This is the novel I really thought the most of and what made me want to write, but like I said I don't want to ruin it with bad writing.(this doesn't necessarily mean grammar)


2.This is like Legendary Mechanic, Monster Synthesis, Supreme Sage, and maybe The Game of A Blood Mage(player turns into a npc in a game they played along with getting sent back to before the game started)  The mc is mostly a mage.  He does some close fighting, but ultimately he should be an actual range fighter like a mage(he has almost all the abilities of a mage with a few extra).  He gets an exclusive class that allows him to use many element unlike normal mages along with unique ability other class could have(yes there are class that are like mutants/esper and basic classes that were in Legendary Mechanic and then more classes along with those)  This mc will not be monopolizing the players and will actually struggle against them sometimes (this doesn't mean that there will be players stronger than him just that there would either be a lot he has to fight, there are people fighting him too, or he has a disadvantage).  I'm not sure I want to add another part to the story with the mc becoming/gaining a trait related to a god of fear or if I want to make a separate novel related to this theme.  To make the starting world unique I felt like there being an apocalypse(I know there is an apocalypse in both).  There is going to be a zombie apocalypse that the mc is going to solve with him also not completely ridding the virus (he changes it to make it beneficial).

3.It takes place in a vrmmorpg.(This is going to be like Overgeared and Legendary Moonlight Sculptor)  At the beginning the mc completes a quest that leads him to experience a village getting annihilated.  The quest allows him to meet all the gods in the world.  Each major god is related to a class in the game along with minor ones related to the element types.  After realizing that the gods had the power to easily stop the slaughter at the village, the mc refuses the gods offer resulting in him angering them.  They punish him by erasing everything off of him and making him unable to get any of their classes and their variants.  This event with the village and the gods make him realize how bad of a human being he really is.  During the story he helps his sisters in the game and secretly as most of them do not trust him along with help his eldest sister with taking care of everyone.  He has to make his own path by getting inspiration from most classes in the game to make his very own allowing him to become a god.  For him to make his own class powerful he has to be talented and hard working along with someone luck.
These novels I really liked the ideo of it making me to want a story that is exactly as how I picture/thought it.  There are other novels I'm thinking about writing a novel like the God of Games novel, another novel where the mc is a god the makes a world and has to fight/defend his world from others like him [another idea is that mc becomes god of current/future earth and turns it into a world with a system, and an apocalypse novel.  This type I'm going to make more upbeat than the ones that I have seen/read.  The type of mood/ideology(this part is a kind of) really tires me out after 20 chapters.  So I will add more relaxing parts and pre-apocalypse semi-normalcy scenes to it along with not making the characters as grimm and dark.  They might be a little crazy though,  but not laugh from watching a genocide of people type of crazy.
(BTW, if someone does use this idea can you comment on this announcement its name so I could read it)



This is all my thoughts related to writing and where my inspiration for writing juggling between.  This novel I thought of to improve my writing.  This doesn't mean I want it to be bad, but just that I really want people to comment about improvements or parts/moods/themes/moments that was not that good in the story.  So I would really like some criticism for this novel.

1000 years ago, the world experienced a disaster when portals appeared from the world's energy expanding. This also leads to the creation of hunters, who go in and delay portal outbreaks.

 Noah awakens a weird non combat ability, Market, and a devastating penalty that makes him need 10x as much exp than other hunters to level up. Along with many other things that makes him unable to become a hunter. Or does this ability allows him to become the strongest protector?

BTW this is my first ever novel and I have many more ideas for novels, but I do not want to ruin them until I get better so please critique this for me to get better. Also expect slow updates(pretty lazy sometimes and have to think about how I want to write)
P.S. I do go back and change things a little(nothing to drastic. More like adding an explanation I forgot to add, changing a skills name, fixing grammar, changing sentences to make them be more interesting, or reducing what is considered normal if I accidentally raised something too high.)
