Mark's P.O.V.
The eerie silence during the ride was killing me. This was the type of silence that I hate the most; sitting silently like a mute unmoving statue. This isn't what I was expecting from this ride. This was the first time where I've made the least movement during a car ride while a hot chick was sitting right next to me. Did she really expect me to sit like this for the whole ride when she clearly knows how much I hate such silent rides!
I turned on the music when the silence became unbearable. It was a nice jazz song and it was kind of eliminating the boredom. It was lifting up the mood. I glanced at Reb to see her reaction. When the song came up Reb's hold on the steering wheel got loose and light. It seemed like she too was enjoying this song and this thought made me very joyful. It felt like I was finally moving on with my plan. 
But what happened next wasn't something I had planned. Reb stretched her hand out and turned off the system. And I had this look like 'What the hell, woman? If you didn't like the song all you had to do was ask and I would have changed it. There was no need for that.' I wanted to say this to her out loud but decided against it. I didn't really want to blow this amazing chance away. I gave her some time to relax and slowly and steadily turned on the music again and played another song, 'Just another woman in love' by Anne Murray. I had just started to enjoy the song when the music was turned off again in the middle of the first verse which caught me off guard.
I've had enough of this and finally decided to speak up now. It wasn't like I'm dumb or blind. I can see perfectly fine with my eyes. I know she is angry with me but I chose to keep quiet so that she could buy some time for herself and open up on her own. I didn't want to be too pushy but I guess it's time I get the answers. She thinks I can't see through her childish acts. Well, I can see she wants me to react and I will react in the way she wants me to. Let's show her how well I can see as well as speak.  
"Reb," I called her name so softly with a sweet tone on my tongue to make it look like she was the most delicate thing handed to me with love. "I know you are angry with me because I didn't contact you for all these years. But-" "Don't call me that" she growled without glancing my way. I was completely perplexed with her behavior it almost seemed like she wasn't my Reb at all. Reb could never do something like this even if she was angry like hell. This weird behavior of hers was unsettling. The more she acts like this the more my anxiety grows. What must have gone wrong for her to behave like this?
She was like a baffling mystery to me now but I couldn't let her know so I tried to cut the tension and lift her spirits by putting on one of her favorite songs. Shayne Ward's 'No promises' started playing on the system. I remember how she used to sing this song aloud and when I would complain about the song, she would go all ninja on me and say I was emotionless. She used to believe this song expresses the true deep feelings of a guy's love which is rare to find these days. So, I thought maybe she would feel happy that I willing put on this song just for her when she knew I didn't like the song one bit. I always made it seem like I hated the song because of its clinging lyrics when internally I too used to enjoy the melody and its emotions and it never felt clinging to me at all. But I couldn't tell this to her because she would have thought I was too girly and this would have made the headlines which I could never afford after all my reputation was at stake. 
"The fuck?" came out of my mouth the moment the music was turned off for the third time in a row. I couldn't stop it this time and before I knew it came out of my mouth on an instinct. First the cold treatment and now this. What is Reb up to? Hell, she doesn't even want me to call her Reb. Then what am I suppose to call her Rebecca? God, I never thought a day like this would come where she would deprive me of my right to call her that. Man, I was raging inside by this time to actually give Reb a piece of my mind. I turned my head in her direction to scold her but the thought vanished into thin air when I saw the look on her face. It was the first time in the day where the thing I was hoping for was finally happening, she actually turned to me but not with the expression I had hoped for. She was shooting daggers at me, it was terrorizing. The expression made it clear that she really did want me to sit like an unmoving statue. I dared not touch the system again after the look she just gave me. 
It took a few seconds for me to go back to normal. People might think I was exaggerating the whole scene or maybe being melodramatic. But trust me if you see a girl who has always been so calm and composed, who was always smiling and never showed an ounce of anger on her face even if she was feeling like a thunderstorm from inside, having this kind of murderous look on her face would be terrifying for anybody.

"How come you never told me you could drive? Who taught you to drive?"

When I heard it, I thought the voice itself was the system, like the voice in the tutorial at the start of a game introducing the storyline. It had mentioned skills which I assumed you could purchase in its store. If Sensei was the system, then what was that voice?
Wasn't a system an all-knowing, powerful existence?
I hated to admit it, but it really suited Sensei, who was already the gatekeeper of all manner of useless but interesting facts, on a wide range of topics back on earth. Now that he had become a system, wasn't this the perfect way to showcase his hobby?
How had he arrived at such a fortunate scenario? I could just imagine the proud look on his face, the bright eyes shining excitedly behind his glasses, dishevelled hair sticking up all over the place. Wasn't this something like a cheat?

How could he treat something important so nonchalantly. I wanted to facepalm. With him as the system wasn't I screwed? Wouldn't he make me do all kinds of meaningless tasks just to watch me dance around in his palm like a monkey? I shivered. With his twisted sense of humour I could only see bad days ahead.
"So how does this work? Are you still human, or part machine? I really wish I could see in here."
I was curious to know what sort of form he would take.
«I'm not exactly sure. From what I can tell, I seem to have become capable of parallel processing. Aside from that, I can sense parts of myself spread out across continents. You'd have to wake up first to make proper sense of it. Try moving around to see what happens.»
"I've already tried that before, nothing works…"
I was about to say, when I suddenly hit something. What was that? 
I definitely felt something just now. Had my sense of touch returned? I moved my body once more and actually got a response. It was back! I could finally move! Yes! My body was obeying me again!
I excitedly turned towards the smooth surface I felt, lifting my arm to reach out and touch it, but weirdly I got no response. Strange. It was like my arms had stopped working, they stayed firmly fixed at my sides. Why wasn't it moving? I'd clearly bumped into something just now when I turned over to my right side.
I tried to stretch my hand again and got no response.
Okay… This was getting weird. I moved towards the right, leaning with my whole body to meet it and once again I hit something hard and cool to the touch. It was smooth and oddly spherical like I was inside of a marble. Strange, but ok. I decided to try another body part. This time I moved my head and it worked, I was able to bend my head and feel the smooth wall. So why were my arms unresponsive?
I rested my body against the curved wall feeling its coolness on my skin. I tried to move a leg to see if it would work but I was met with resistance, it felt like the space was too tight. Alright, if I couldn't move It, I should at least be able to mentally map out its shape.
I traced the sensation of the smooth wall from my head to my stomach, following it all the way down to my legs. Odd…were my legs always this long? The coolness I was tracing flowed, following a line that never seemed to end, the odd elongated shape twisting and turning, taking the form of a long tube-like object, like some sort of rope.
Ok what was that?
I turned my head to tilt it away from the smooth wall. Somehow this was incredibly easy like I had become more flexible. My body leaned and curved, flopping spinelessly like a whip. That can't be right. My head now seemed to be touching my stomach and my legs were somehow long enough to wrap twice around myself, curving full circle to touch the top of my head in two rotations. Form this shape I had formed a spiral.
Um... What happened to my body! How did it become like this?
The feeling of being glued together by a substance intensified. My body was still responsive to touch but when I tried to move anything from the neck down it just felt…wrong. My whole body seemed to have fused together into one long solid mass! I had become a large rope-like structure trapped within a cocoon!
What the heck was happening! Was this me?
I struggled some more, twisting and turning my body in morbid curiosity, and the more I turned the more tube like my body seemed to become. I was no longer fascinated, now I was twisting in panic and horror.
What was this body? No way was I this flexible, bending like this was not even possible for Olympic athletes who exercised all year round. How was I who spent all year sitting indoors on a computer able to bend like this? When I tried to unravel the spiral that had formed, my legs recoiled and snapped outwards like a tight rubber band, hitting the smooth wall with a slap. I suddenly heard a loud noise.
*Crackk!*
The sound of something breaking was accompanied by an explosion of sensation all around me. There was an intense burst of white light, and the noises from the rustling and scuttling of things nearby filled the air. I could finally hear something outside of my own mind! I moved more in excitement.
The bright light intensified in my eyes and I had to shut them to a squint. Yess! Yess I finally came out! I could see!
Whatever I was encased in was gone, melting away, becoming soft and rubbery like leather as my body pushed through it to emerge. I thought it curious how easily my prison has dissolved. I felt myself tumble out of something and fall with a splat, like the sound of something wet hitting the ground. There were rustling sounds oddly close to me.
I blinked my eyes, momentarily blinded by the bright light. What was this? Where was I? I blinked more and gradually my vision adjusted. It was still a milky white but I could make out blurry moving shapes. I couldn't wait to take in the view of my new surroundings! I blinked around excitedly until my vision cleared… and suddenly I wished it hadn't.
All around me is a bending, twisting mess, of snakes crawling over the ground!
Eeeehh! What is this! Some kind of creature den? What is that smell? I looked behind me. Eeeek! Theres even more snakes here!
"Sensei what's happening!" I cried miserably. "Is this supposed to be how I'm born? Who puts a baby inside a snake nest?"
Sensei did not respond.
"Hey hey hey! Don't go quiet on me right now! Explain what is going on!"
I was never someone with ophidiophobia but the sight of so many slithering tube-like bodies twisting, wriggling, and sliding over each other really grossed me out. And the noise? All that rustling and hissing was really unpleasant to the ears! The sight made me recoil, jumping up in fright, I proceeded to run away. So Disgusting!!
I was supposed to be a baby, why was I here! Completely glancing over that fact that I was somehow able to run away with fully functioning legs, I sped away from the wriggling mess, running over bodies and dodging open snake mouths filled with vicious teeth.
It was only when I'd gotten a good distance away that I realised the sensation of me running was actually my body sliding over the ground on my belly. I realised I did not have any legs or arms. I was nothing like a baby at all.
I stopped running to look back at my body, and saw a long curved mass moving in an 'S' pattern, exactly the same as the horde of snakes I was running from. I realised I had become a complete snake.
"Sensei!! What the hell is this! Why am I this! This snake! What happened to my body!"
Sensei coughed nervously.
«Remember that exercise I had you all write in detention?»
Of course I did! That annoying exercise that had me receive a list of rude words as a description of myself, words that did not match my personality at all. Why was he bringing that up here? Was he trying to annoy me further by making me remember?
"What does that have to do with me being a damn snake!"
Sensei coughed some more. His voice turning into a low mumble like he was trying to conceal his words.
«Er… well. When I spoke to the Goddess she might have mentioned that she based your reincarnation on that list. Those words… were written by your peers, they served as the best judge of your personality. What they had written served as a guideline for your rebirth, which *cough* let her pick the race that suited you best from their descriptions of you.»
It took me a second to process his words before exploding in anger.
"What?! Are you trying to tell me that I'm a snake now because of your dumb perception test?"

"Are you serious! Why didn't you tell the Goddess it was a joke!"

I paced, no… slithered back and forth dragging my elongated body as I moved around in the nest. What were the words again? Coldblooded, inhuman, ugly, hardworking, treacherous, shamelessly cunning and slimy. No matter how I looked at it, these were the exact qualities of a snake. My mood hit rock bottom, there was nothing like being forced to face reality. It completely made sense.
The Goddess must have a twisted sense of humour to decide something so important based on that joke of an exercise. Didn't she know students were spiteful and full of lies? How could she judge if what was written was anything accurate to my character.
Wasn't this just being lazy, using someone else's evaluation rather than figuring things out yourself. Like coping somebody else's answer on a test.
This was so frustrating! Why not look into my memories to see the actual traits I possessed rather than doing thing like this? Besides I was formerly a human, if she wanted to be lazy why didn't she just copy and paste the same race here.
I heard Sensei chuckling.
"What's funny about this mess!" I snarled.
«Nothing. It's just funny how you pacing as a snake looks vaguely like a human»

When arrive at his quarter, prince Macron is dress in his white shirt, button up all the way, and a short black pant. His hair was comb neatly to the side, on his face has a thick black frame glasses. He stands there with a dog collar in his hand, waving at me.

"You fit very well with the outfit" 

"Master, why do you dress like this?"

" This prince has show face in most of the magazines! If I go out like usual, people will know it me. Going incognito is the best idea..." Prince Macron seem to be lost in thought, then he turn to me "what do think of this outfit?" 

To be honest, men that have a pretty face like a beauty like this, they're always look good in whatever they wear. Even though I don't this guy, he still look handsome, so I tell the truth.

"The outfit looks good on you, master."

"Really?"

"Yes"

"Ugly outfit like this really fit me well?"

A woman voice from behind stall the cars parade all of the sudden.

" Isn't the outfit too ugly? It looks very loose! Luckily, she doesn't have to wear the huge animal head like in the theme park."

"Who said she doesn't? The head is in the trunk, she has to wear it right when we get off. Mother, I'm late for school, please stop stalling me."

Afterward, we sit quietly in the car till the university. Unexpectedly, there's an event in the school and there're balloons everywhere, look like a big party at that. Wow..... what a coincidence, if I got out like this, people will think that I'm the clown that was send from the theme park.

I want to turn around, but the dog head is too big, so I can only let that person drag me out. And because of this dog outfit is too big compared to my size, I almost fall down many time, but now I know one thing... the person that hide behind my back is a man.

And the owner stared at me with fury eyes. With face like look like an angel, he shows his high-class attitude to me. This make me speechless for awhile. Ehh..... but where have I see his face before? Like on a drinks poster or something.

"Don't know! I never watch TV. Even if I do, that's once in a while. Plus, I'm living in a pig cage now, no chance to watch TV."

The school that she goes too is a private school about 40 miles away from my school, yes I'm in a public school, who asked, I don't care, but the thing is she knows Tanya and that's a key point to this story, on how Maria's friend learned this,

"Damn Tanya that sucks to hear, and it's going good, Elizabeth and I are gonna go out to eat in a bit so it should get better, oh and have you heard the news? There's like this weird alien shit happening, they can't explain it but Elizabeth is scared about,"

After I got done talking to Tanya things started to change for Elizabeth, when I gone off to go pick her up she still was scared, but after what happened at the fast food place she changed,

"Okay Elizabeth what do you feel like having-"

"Maria I'm going to be honest I don't want to go out with all this happening, this is a alien space ship we are talking about, how retarted does this sound, like this is real life, like I don't know how to act calm like you after this, I guess we should go get something fast because I want to go home.." and she crossed her arms with her head down, she is always like this, and sometimes picky, but this where it started to change, 10 minutes later when we make it to Good Burger, these guys inside the place wanted to ask her these stupid questions, we are only seniors in high school Thomas, I'm sure you are too, same grade as Tanya, but Tanya told me that after Ethan kept going on you just yelling you, you didn't seem to care and that's when you said it, he said you had a thoughtful face, thinking, and exactly what she said prior, same thing happened to her. We where in line when the two guys came up to her,

"Okay Elizabeth what do you want?"

"Uhhh, can I have the number 3 meal, and a unsweetened tea please, large-" and then it happened, this man grabbed her shoulder,

"Hey little missy. You don't need unsweetened tea, unlike a sweetheart like you, she'll have a sweet tea," he said that as if he was gonna pay, he still didn't, but doing that to her I felt unpleasant, but I do have a black belt and I am the best in my class of it came down to that, she turned around and looked at him, and she didn't say nothing, usually she would talk back and figure things with them and tell this man to stop, but no she didn't, something was off then and there, I felt it,

"Hey missy aren't you gonna say something, like '****' or abusive touch, eh?" This man stepped back with his hands in the air like he won an all out question of the year, but she didn't move, then and there I was feeling a presence, something weird, she changed right in front of me, I don't know what got in her, but during school she got picked on so many girls telling her ' Who did your nappy ass hair?' ' Don't you like weird guys?' Stuff like that, and it makes me mad when she would tell me about it, made me want to do something but I couldn't help. This man changed her for good,

Tension grew. The person at the register stood back as if this was a robbery, I stayed right behind her, the man got closer,

"Well aren't you gonna do anything? What's a pretty girl like you doing here anyway? You should be home there's this alien ship coming, ooooooooo" as he wiggled his fingers in front of her like to creep her out, she still stood there, she didn't speak,

He got louder,

"Oh so your a silent one aren't ya, why won't you speak to me missy? That's rude for your elders you know? You are taking up the line I'm hungry, just tell me where you live and I'll get you something and I'll take you home," I couldn't see her face, but I saw his face drop from happy, to a weird look, he was feeling it too,

He grew tired, he got closer to her, and nearly spit in her face,

"YOU BETTER TALK LITTLE GIRL. OR IMA DO SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL BE SCARED ABOUT" he raised his hand like to slap her, of course he wasn't but right there she spoke. 

"Who Asked?" She crossed her arms and tilted her head. The man put his arm down, 

"WHO ASKED? WHO ASKED? OH YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME LITTLE GIRL!" And he got closer, and that was my queue to come in with a round house kick to his face, and he fell, she didn't flinch, I hit him right infront of her, and then I knew, she was tired of everyone's shit, I felt a strong presence, this felt really weird, but the crazy part was this was after when you learned Thomas, the aliens went to you Bc you had the aura first. I need to know if this same thing happened to her, but now I know that you won't speak only what you know, I was confused after what she said, the mans friend picked him up and pulled him out, and I asked her if she was okay, and she didn't respond, she had a serious face the whole time, I felt like I was talking to a new person, Thomas I came here hoping I could have answers on how you got this, but knowing you won't talk I finally realized it, you got tired of everyone's shit, and just didn't care anymore, same thing for her. But she got tired of people asking her shit. I don't know what to do anymore, she is home now, safe, but Thomas if I'm going to be honest I think you should meet her, and talk to her, some how at least because from going from being scared, to serious like that, I know something was up, and that's how she got like that. I still can't explain it but I wanted to tell you, I'm scared for my friend, I'm sorry I came in on this on you like this. I thought I would get a quick answer but there is nothing to do. I'm afraid I lost her for now, but you could possibly talk to her,

Back to my thoughts, hearing this from her heart gave me the chills, still you know she broke into my house, but nevertheless I learned there is someone like me out there, a different quote. But in the same thought process, she wants me to talk to her, but I have a feeling the dream I had a couple days ago means something. Maybe sit down by our selves and talk, someone who doesn't care like me is who I can trust, I don't know if something like this will ever happen again, come to think of it Maria was there for her, fought back if she needed too. Joe. Where is he, I haven't seen him in a while, author was this on purpose? 
Maria stood up from talking to me for about 30 minutes. 

"Oh before I leave Thomas, before I picked her up she told me she had a weird dream, a person saying 'I don't care' and another saying 'who's Joe' I have a feeling if she knew about you without even knowing you, I feel there is another. Here's my number if you need to text me, you won't talk, but text will work. Peace." And she walked out my room. Not like a guest I still don't know how she got in, but still she has a point, Joe, where is he, and she left her number, time for nudes, I mean to find out more about this mess, fuck sorry guys.
