It's Year 2025 & not only has the Earth technologically advanced but humans have advanced as well. A genetic gene has developed from all the supernatural encounters all around the world called 'Abilities.' The government has limited the usage of these Abilities from the public except for certain people who are involved in organizations.

Omiki Habana is searching for her older brother who went missing after he joined a Detective Agency called SYZYGY Agency. She knows he wouldn't just up and leave her with her alcoholic mother so she needs to find answers.

This leads her to the troublesome Detective Agency, Lunar Literature. Time to not only find answers but to ask some questions as well.

A big one would be: Why the hell did she become a clerk there!?

LUO YAN was sitting inside the library.  It was a huge library with dozens of shelves full of books.  One even needed to climb a ladder in order to get some of the books.  The books were separated between educational and literature.  The educational books were further separated from different arts and sciences.  While the literature were differentiated by genres.  
 When Luo Yan first entered this place, he was truly shocked and amazed.  He didn't think that a house could have a library this big.  According to his older brother, their father loved reading that's why their mother didn't hesitate to include a library this big when she was designing the house.  That only further proved just how much their parents loved each other.  
 After the family's conversation during breakfast, Luo Jin immediately announced that he would start teaching him today.  Now, Luo Yan was waiting for him in the library.  He wondered first why they couldn't just study in Luo Jin's room, and then he remembered that his brother's room was in the second floor.  Luo Jin was probably worried that he'd be tired if they studied there.  After all, the house's stairs was quite high and long.  With his current condition, he might stumble and fall if he wasn't careful enough.
 When Luo Yan realized that, he only smiled.  This younger brother of his was really just a big ball of fluff inside.   
 After a while, the door of the library opened and Luo Jin entered.  He was holding a stack of papers.  He walked towards Luo Yan and sat beside his chair.  He put the papers on the table in front of them, chose one and put it in front of Luo Yan.  He also opened a pencil case with a mechanical pen and eraser inside.
 "First, I want you to answer the questions in this paper.  It's okay if you don't know the answer.  Just leave it as blank and just answer what you can.  I will check your answers after," Luo Jin unceremoniously said.
 He wanted to know first the current level of understanding his second brother had.  If it stayed in the fourth grade level or if it regressed.  After finding the result, then he would coordinate with the tutors that his father hired.  He didn't want his brother to be called stupid by others.  He could but others couldn't.  He wanted his second brother to be the best in the eyes of others.  No one was allowed to insult him.
 "Okay, Ah Jin," Luo Yan said.
 He looked down at the paper in front of him and his face immediately turned black when he saw the questions on it.  It was a Math paper.  A first grade Math paper!  10+1... 8+5... 7+9...  The more he saw, the blacker his face became.  He literally could feel his brain hurting.  It's like this paper was physically attacking his IQ.
 He glanced sideways at Luo Jin.  He was looking at him, his eyes full of silent encouragement.  Luo Yan forced himself to calm down.  His brother was not deliberate.  Most probably, Luo Jin just wanted to test his level of understanding.  But still.
 In the end, he only sighed and answered all the question on the paper.
 "I'm done, Ah Jin," he said and pushed the paper to Luo Jin.
 Luo Jin took it and checked the answer.  He nodded in satisfaction when he saw that his second brother answered it all correctly.  "Very good.  This one's next."
 The next one was actually a second grade Math test paper!  Luo Yan still endured and tried his best not to gnash his teeth.  But when the next paper came and it was still a third grade Math test paper, he couldn't do it anymore.  Because at that point, not only was his brain hurting, even his stomach and liver were complaining to him.
 He breathed deeply before turning to Luo Jin, his face already the mask of innocence.  "Ah Jin, these questions are too easy.  Are there anything more difficult?  Can I pick the next test?"
 Before Luo Jin could answer, Luo Yan already picked the stack of papers in front of his brother.  He quickly looked through it and his face blackened again when he discovered that the highest level of questions in every subjects was in sixth grade.  He sighed and just picked a sixth grade Math test paper.  He answered it easily then gave it back to Luo Jin.
 Luo Jin was a little bit doubtful when he saw his brother picking a sixth grade Math test paper.  But when he checked the paper and found that his brother managed to answer everything correctly, he was amazed.  He suddenly remembered that before the accident, his brother had always been the top of his class.  Just like their older brother.  That's why Luo Jin also started to study hard.  Because he wanted to be like his brothers.
 Luo Jin was happy to know that not only his brother's intelligence did not regress, he was still as smart as before.  With the best tutors, his brother would definitely be able to catch up to high school level in no time.  Maybe he could even go to the same high school as him this coming new shool year.
 "Well, this is good.  At least with this, I could confidently tell Dad and Older Brother that you didn't turn stupid."
 Luo Yan almost resisted the urge to smack this brother.  He swore, when those tutors came, he would show them how smart he was.  At first, he wanted to act low-key and just showed gradual progress.  There's no need for him to work hard after all.  Even if he chose to be a salted fish all his life, this family would certainly support him.  But with this experience, he found out that he couldn't take being treated like his IQ was on the same level as that of a child.  Then it's better to be treated like a genius.
 He wouldn't allow his IQ to be attacked again.  Because seriously, it might really caused long-term damage to his brain.

As soon as Luo Yan graduated, he immediately got an offer from a prestigious gaming company. He thought all his hard work finally paid off. And he would finally reach the pinnacle of life. But then, on his first day of work, a potted plant fell on his head and he died. 

Surprisingly, when he thought he would cross the Yellow River, he suddenly woke up and found himself in the body of a 17 year old boy. This body had the same name as him but completely different background. Because the original was the second young master of the Luo family - one of the most powerful family in S City. 

Luo Yan almost cried. God probably took pity on him and decided to give him a loving family with a wealthy background. He didn't have to work hard anymore. Studying like his life depended on it and pretending to be a holy father just to cater to people. 

So Luo Yan decided to be a salted fish and just shamelessly sell meng.

"Momo... hurry up!!.... we're going to be late!!" Yelled Linda, as she rushed towards the newly constructed building within the school premises.
Little Momo and her, were on their way towards the chemistry laboratory.
Today, they were taking Chemistry 3.
Ever since the beginning of April, they had been taking 6 main courses:
•Biology 1 (Classes of living organisms)
•Math 4 (simple variable math, like find X)
•Chemistry 2
•Chemistry 3 (introduction to lab science)
•Physics 1
•Phyno 4
Apart from these ones, they also had other fun and creative courses that occurred once a week... like:
•Arts & Craft 1
•Ethics & Morality 1 
•Health & Hygiene 1
•Literature 1
•Music 1
• And Physical Education 
Another surprising thing for the students was that this year, the school had created a Student Council body based on the votes from the students.
Also, each class had a class monitor and deputy class monitor that's entrusted in assisting the teachers in class, aiding the weak students, roll call... and so on.
No matter what amongst the 2 leaders, one had to be female and the other male.
Generally, once the winners for both the Male Group and female group emerged.... the students would then vote between the 2, and choose who should be the class monitor or deputy class monitor.
For the biology class, the students were taught the basics like: cells, microbes, plant systems, animal systems, invertebrates and vertebrates.
In short, they were taught about all the classes of living organisms.
Of course for Math 4, they focused on simple variable math... like 5x=10, find X.
In that class, they focused on understanding one to two variable equations..... which were usually linear equations.
For chemistry 2, the students would still focused on reactions, atoms and so on.... but now with the use of calculators, they had begun learning about calculating molecular weight and so on.
Of course just so that the students could breathe a little, music, literature, physical education and arts & craft were essentially a must.
In short, this semester was a busy one.
Today, Linda and little Momo were heading towards the Chemistry Lab in the new school building.
Once they got in, they immediately climbed the stairs until they arrived at the 3rd floor... where they were greeted with a large group of students outside the lab.
The area was bustling with busy students.
Friends greeted each other with hugs or playful punches, while others had their eyes glued on their books as they continued doing assignments that were due in the next class.
Some already had their lab coats and safety wears on, while others were busy wearing theirs on now.
In fact, everyone was doing their own thing as they waited for the class to begin.
Instantly, the duo opened their bags and quickly pulled out their neatly folded lab coats and safety items.
For this class, everyone was required to wear their lab coats, gloves, rubber boots, and goggles.
Linda looked at her watch and knew that it would soon be time for them to go in.
And right on queue, Mother Kim and teacher Gophen opened the lab doors from instead and ushered the students in.
"Morning Teacher Kim!"
"Morning teacher Gophen!"
"Morning teacher...."
"__"
Everyone greeted their teachers, as they walked in and immediately found their usual spot.
The Laboratory was massive, with several working slabs, cupboards with equipments stored in them, and a small storage room at its front.
Linda and Momo immediately spotted their other group members, and rushed over to join them.
Ever since the beginning of the semester, they had been put in groups of 5.
Apparently, these people would be their lab partners throughout the entire semester.
"Alright.... before we begin, you all know the drill.
In front of each group, are 5 question sheets.
You all have 7 minutes to answer them.
Remember, no cheating and no copying.... these small tests make up 20% of your final grade.
Now.... Begin!!"
Linda immediately flipped her question sheet and got to work.
For this Chemistry 3 course, they had 1 theory class on Tuesdays, and 1 lab session on Thursdays.
And at the beginning of each lab session, they would have mini quizzes that would test them on what they had learnt in their Tuesday classes.
Chemistry 3 was a course based on Laboratory work, so they had to know about the equipments in front of them, safety lab hazards and so on.
In fact... Ever since the students knew that these questions were 20%, they had taken them seriously
Linda filled her name and school number on the question sheet, before proceeding to answer the questions.
The questions were straight to the point, and easy to answer if one was paying attention during lectures.
And just like that, time flew by quickly... 7 minutes later, the quizzes collected back by teacher Gophen.
And the papers were collected, Mother Kim began distributing the Lab manual sheets for today's experiment.

"Alright.... before we begin our Laboratory experiment, let's recap on what Teacher Winnie has been you all in Chemistry 2." Mother Kim said.
The students immediately took out their books and writing materials.... While others flipped the pages of their books to the last pen-filled page.
It was important for the students to know about what reactions they were going to perform today, hence it was good for them to recap on what they were previously taught.
"So as usual, let's look back on what you all have been learning so far.
I need a few examples of chemistry around us... anyone?" Mother Kim asked, as she waited for the students to raise their hands.
"Yes Filipa?" She said, while pointing at a little girl at the front of the room.
"Air is essentially chemistry, because it's constantly undergoing a chemical change.
For example, we breathe out carbon dioxide and take in oxygen... so air is always changing.
Also... air undergoes changes whenever smoke is released in to the atmosphere by burning, hence it's part of Chemistry."
"Correct!!.
Any other examples of Chemistry around us?" Kim asked.
"Our bodies."
"The ocean"
"When we make bread."

Chapter 7

Author's PoV 

The next day in school 
Morning 6:30 a.m.
[(A/N): - It is the school which I go to. It's in my locality of Mira Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.]
As Anna entered the school, she looked up to see the large school logo board that read in big bold letters 'R. B. K. School', owned by the Kanakians. She had only one thought in her mind. How is Ma. 
[(A/N): - In India, we have many names for mother like Ma, Mummy, Mom, etc.]


As she entered, she looked at her watch. It read 6:30 a.m. There were 7 more hours she had to spend before she could pay a visit to her mother. Her first class was advanced Math. Believe me, math in 12th grade was a really difficult thing. But with her mind, even a primary student could do the most difficult question in the 12th  grade maths book. She was a genius. She was a multitalented being, lacking nothing but luck. Luck had decided to play a trick with her. 

Anna's PoV 

Oh! How I wish we had a free period. Our math teacher, Miss Susan, wiped out my mind, leaving a brain wash condition in our class. However, with my luck, that could not be possible. I decided to bunk the class, as it is I won't be able to pay any attention to whatever Miss Susan was going all about. As if paying attention would do me any good. That thought made me scoff. 

After a whole lot of long, uselessly spent 7 hours, the school finally ended. I decided to go home to freshen up a bit then meet Yuvi. After that I'd go to visit Ma. 

I quickly took a bus from the bus stop near my school and got to my destination. The bust stop near school is one minute on foot and to the one near my home, it was a five minutes walk. Once I reached home, I noticed that the house was a complete mess. Great. JUST GREAT. Now I have two things to clear. One, my room and another, my mind. There was too much on my mind so I decided to read until I sleep after coming back from the hospital. 

I look at the calendar hanging from my kitchen wall. It read 27th of June. It was just one day since Ma was in coma. I just wished that the three months passed by soon enough for me to not notice. But then again, with my luck, it was just something I could never ask for. 

I just realised that I did not have an extremely important thing with me. Money. Money has a way to take things unto itself. I thought remembering the line from our English Literature chapter 'Hearts and Hand' by O. Henry. He was one of my favourite writers. I had read his works in my school academic English Literature books. 

I did not earn money and did not have Ma's account information to take money from mom. There was only one thing I could do. Look for place that gave work to a 17 year old, unqualified girl. That was near to impossible since I was still hadn't graduated, but I guess my 10th Board certificate could probably do me some good. 

I looked at my wristwatch. It was 3:00 p.m. already. I decided to go to Yuvi's place. 

Since I was already late and missed my bus, I took a rickshaw to get to her house which was a good 4 miles away from mine. I only had 3000 rupees in hand. The rest was in my joint account with mom. Since I was still a minor, I couldn't access to the money in it, whatsoever the reason might be. That had really ticked me off. Now I had to spend my money extra cautiously so that I wouldn't run out of it before getting a part-time job. I could always ask Yuvi for some money but it never really felt right to do so. She was already going out of her way to help me with the conditions in hand. I could not rely on her anymore or I'll be vulnerable. Again. 

With time ticking by as I sat in the rickshaw, wind blew all over my face making me realise how tired I actually was. I wasn't able to get a wink of sleep last night with all the thoughts of Ma, money and as my past and it's thoughts haunted me. I did not want to go back to my old self again. But if I was forced to, if I didn't have any other choice but to go back to the past to save my mother, I won't hesitate to do so. Even if it meant making me feel like a body that doesn't have a soul. Or should I say... 
a heart.

For those who might be confused about the original one and the recreated one, please read this one as I am the author of the original book but some problems occurred and because of that, I will be uploading here on my new user. All new chapters will be uploaded on “Necropolis of Heart”. 

This is my first attempt at writing a book so hope you readers like it. Votes, reviews and comments will be much appreciated.

"The name's Felicia Ananda Putri, is that correct?" the man who called Feli to his office asked her. 

"Yes," she replied.  "May I ask why should I come here?  Because I didn't see my name in the list of students that passed." 

"We saw the certificate that you included when you sign up.  And  apparently we can make an exception just for you," the man showed her a little smile. 

At that moment the girl almost screamed at the top of her lungs.  Who knew someone who had always bathe in tears and blood to master math and ended up not getting it at all could enter a math department in a prestigious college.  This was thanks to her friends in high school dragging her to participate in an international math competition.  She had also gotten the certificate due to the competition being done in groups and her friends had been geniouses, not that she really did much anyway.   

She finally could breathe in relax.  After all, this was what her parents wanted.  To be a mathematician like them. 

"That's a really good news," the girl responded. 

"But only on a condition.  You must pass all the time in any of the classes that must be taken on each semester,"  the man, who was the head of the department, added. 

Well how hard could that be?  Feli asked that to herself.   

Actually, very easy for her.  Very easy to fail.   In fact, if you rearrange the alphabets in her nickname and replace the letter 'e' with an 'a' you can spell the word 'fail'. 

On the first day in the college, Feli struggled a lot to comprehend the lesson in the class.  It didn't help that she was an eccentric person.  She was someone who would read novels that has a niche genre that a few people would know. That made it harder for her to socialize with her classmates.  Aside from asking one or two questions, she had no friends that she could get to teach her in an elaborate manner.                     

Felt stressed about the class, Feli went to a cafe that was close to her campus.   She bought herself a cup of coffee and try to forget her problems by reading novels.  She loved literature, and sometimes she tried to write her own.  But she couldn't waste her time writing because her parents wanted her to be a mathematician. 

She was really absorbed in the novel when she heard a stranger's voice. 

"Hey, aren't you Felicia?" 

In front of her she could see a boy that's about a year older from her, wearing glasses.  She could smell the scent of his perfume.   

"H-how did you know my name?" Feli asked with her vibrating voice. 

"We went to the same highschool?  I was your senior.  Don't you remember?"  he asked her back.  "You're from Rajawali Fajar highschool, aren't you?" 

"Yes, but ... I don't feel like I've ever known you?" Feli said.  She really didn't remember him the slightest bit.  'Whatever', Feli thought.  'This is a chance for me to make friends, perhaps he's from math department too?' 

"Maybe you can't remember because we only talked 512 days ago.  You can call me Banyu.  I'm from math department," the boy told her.  "Which faculty are you in?" 

After he finished speaking, Feli could feel a tingling sensation running down her spine.  She felt like something wasn't right.   But she couldn't quite put her finger on it. 

"Feli?  Did you hear me?" 

"O-ohh, I'm in the science faculty.  Math department,"  Feli answered.

Chapter 18
 
Hyoyoung's heart fell when Mikyung mentioned The M. Recently, whenever she heard the group's name, her heart started to beat nervously.
"Huh? Why? What happened?"
"Hyoyoung… I noticed that you haven't been paying much attention to our group. You must be really busy lately. They announced the date of their comeback, it's going to be three months from now! It will be right after our SAT, which is perfect. I am so glad! We will be able to enjoy the group and the music without worrying about the SAT!"
"Oh, really? I see. So their comeback date has been decided."
"Yup. And starting tomorrow, the agency will release behind the scenes footage of the group working on their album. Soon, they will also do a live show of them practicing their new songs. The M promised that they will continue to communicate with the fans. Oh, and their main comeback song will be decided by the fans! We'll get to vote. How nice of them! I am so happy that we'll get to see our oppas more."
"Oh, my… this is gonna be very bad for me."
"Hmm? Why would this be bad for you? Oh, is it because you won't be able to focus on your studies? Hey, don't worry. You won't have to waste time following the group around because the paparazzi will do it for us and provide all the information and photos."
"Paparazzi…?"
"Of course. And they are especially excited about trying to find out who this girl is that Purple M loves."
"Oh… right."
"I'm sure that girl will be found very soon at this rate."
"Oh… I… see… Right…"
"Hey, why are you looking all worried? All we have to do is wait for all the information to be released. The media will do all the work."

Mikyung was making Hyoyoung more and more nervous.
Hyoyoung felt a chill just thinking about Mikyung and her friends finding out the truth. The fact that she was the recipient of Purple M's love… It would be a disaster.
The best thing would have been for her to not get involved at all, but now, she had to work as the group's temporary stylist and manager. Hyoyoung's head started to pound.
Mikyung clearly wanted to chat more, but Hyoyoung made up an excuse. After hanging up, she sat on her desk and opened her textbook. She thought that if she focused on something like studying, perhaps she could forget about what was happening in her life.
But her mind remained restless and she couldn't concentrate on her books at all.
"DARNNNNNITTTTTTT!"
She screamed in frustration and suddenly, Jiwoo burst into her room.
"What happened!"
"Pardon? What?"
Hyoyoung turned around in surprise and Jiwoo explained, "You screamed, so I was worried. What's wrong, Hyoyoung?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I was just studying, and I was having some difficulty understanding something. It's too hard."
"Oh. Don't get too stressed! Screaming doesn't solve anything. What you need is some help learning. Come out here! Come on!"
"What? Oh, I'm fine. I can do it by myself…"
"No way! You helped us, so it's time for us to help you. Come on!"
Hyoyoung had no choice but to grab her books and walk out to the living room where the members were working on their own things.
Jiwoo announced loudly, "Hey everybody! Listen carefully!"
He pulled Hyoyoung closer to him and continued, "Our Hyoyoung is in grade 12 and she has lost a lot of her study time because of us. If she doesn't get good grades and fails to get into a good university, it will be our fault! So we need to help her study! Hyoyoung, I can help you with English. How about you guys?"
Kiwook raised his hand quietly.
"I can help with literature."
Hyojun quickly followed.
"I can help with math."
Hyunsuk shrugged his shoulders and answered, "Well, I guess that leaves science and history… sure, I can help you with those."
It happened so suddenly and quickly that Hyoyoung started to look panicked. She tried to refuse their help.
"No, thank you. I'm fine on my own. I prefer to study by myself. Studying is best done alone. I will do it on my own. Please…"
Hyojun walked up to her and insisted, "Just shut up. Alone? You clearly need help, so come to my room right now. We should start with math. Solving equations will help you loosen up your brain. We'll begin with math for an hour."
"Umm, Oppa. I really don't feel like studying math today…"
"What you feel like doesn't matter. You study because you have to. Come in right now!"
Hyojun had no sympathy for her. He dragged her into his bedroom and the tutoring began. From time to time, his yelling could be heard from outside. He was a strict and scary teacher.
"Oh my… I hope he doesn't make Hyoyoung cry."
"I know. Maybe we should've started with literature first."
"No, it wouldn't have mattered. Hyojun would've insisted on starting with whatever subject he chose to tutor anyway."
Hyunsuk listened to Jiwoo and Kiwook's conversation and shook his head. He said to them bluntly, "How obvious of Hyojun to act like that. It's like he is marking his possession. So unnecessary and immature."
Kiwook flinched in surprise and turned to Hyunsuk, who shrugged his shoulders and continued, "Why are you surprised? Isn't it obvious? I can clearly see that Hyojun is determined. At this rate, you are going to lose, Kiwook. If you don't step up, you aren't going to win. And Hyoyoung doesn't seem like she will be easy to win over either."
Kiwook grinned and replied, "You always seem so quiet, but you still see and hear everything. I just don't get you, Hyunsuk Lee. You are a mystery."
"Haha, I'm no mystery. I am just like everyone, there's nothing special about me. I have to do something, so I will be in my room. I need some privacy, so leave me alone for a while, okay?"
Hyunsuk took his laptop and left, leaving just Kiwook and Jiwoo.
Jiwoo asked Kiwook, "Hey, I have a question for you."

"Grr… Alright, ask."
"Did you know who Hyojun was from the very beginning?"
"No."
"What? But Hyojun said that he recognized you immediately, right?"
"Yeah, but I didn't recognize him. I only found out later by coincidence when I saw him walking with Hyoyoung one day."
"So you had no idea until then?"
"Well, I had a vague suspicion, but I couldn't tell for sure. To be honest, Hyoyoung is a painful memory for me. It's hard to explain, but my memories of her used to be crystal clear and yet vague at the same time. Then, when I saw her again, things came back to me. Both my memories and my feelings for her."
"And all this time… your feelings haven't changed?"
"Actually, it has gotten worse."
"Why?"
"An emotion is supposed to change as it gets expressed and dealt with, but for me, I had no way of doing that. I kept it hidden inside me and it just kept growing and growing. Hyoyoung had no idea of my existence, and I couldn't give her or show her how I feel. So all the feelings I had remained with me and I felt like I was going to explode. It was overwhelming."
"Your feelings for Hyoyoung…"
"Yeah. At first, I thought it was just sympathy. Just love for my lost little sister. But I quickly realized that it wasn't that. I want her to always be by my side. I want to protect her and love her always. She is so very precious to me. Hyoyoung's existence means the world to me."

2nd year of High School, Yoona. Her mother had left the world early and left her and her father by themselves. Three days after returning home, my school life just starts to get back on track. It's almost like nothing changed. The only thing I really did notice is that a lot more people are avoiding me.

I expected a heroes welcome but this work fine. Seems like not a lot of people want to be friends with the guy that might've been infected with the "Witch's Burning."

Kanna: "Because of Esnia?"

Headmaster: "Close… Loremaster Hugo and White Mage Achille are coming to check up on you all but that's not why I called you here right now."

Madelyn: "Then why?"

Headmaster: "This is about your grades, Kanna and Steven."

I always knew my grades weren't the best but I'm really screwed when it comes to history. The Headmaster had a large ledger that kept track of all the students and their recent grades. He was using it to show us where we're at.

Headmaster: "Steven, your overall score is 59; Kanna, yours is 65."

Madelyn: "How do you let your grades get so low?"

Steven: "Absences."

Headmaster: "Your history score is at 19, Steven. Absences have nothing to do with it."

Steven: "Tch. I get it… I was raised under a rock."

Math was pretty much carrying me but 3 months' absence really has dropped my score!

Headmaster: "The Academy requires that you maintain an overall score of 70 or higher if you wish to pass onto the next year."

Steven: "Shit."

Kanna: "Steven?"

I can't drop out now that I've returned to Everhand. I missed school while I was gone and now I'm remembering how difficult and annoying it can get but this Academy is my chance to live a normal life.

Steven: "There's going to be a ton of studying."

Madelyn: "Actually… is there some kind of program where they can work at their own pace?"

Livia: "There is, Independent Studies, I'm in it and Steven was for some time too."

I'm just realizing that all the spells I learned here were from Livia or Kanna and neither of them are teachers!

Livia: "There are even clubs that grant extra credits to a related class. An example would be that alchemy would count towards science or math."

Kanna: "I could use the points for math…"

Maybe it's possible for me to dig my way out by offering to teach Ice. Being a teacher doesn't sound so bad.

Steven: "What if I made an enormous donation for the study of the arcane arts?"

Headmaster: "Money is not going to buy your way out of this."

Steven: "I'm talking about knowledge."

Headmaster: "I'll have you know that your associates would admonish you if you say something forbidden."

My associates, also known as, "Twilight."

He's making it sound like teaching Ice or Frost would land me in deep trouble even though I didn't learn it through them.

Steven: "This is a Mage's Academy, I want to learn magic."

Livia: "The Elemental Schools are your best bet."

Headmaster: "There's a specific element you're interested in? The Elemental Schools are performance-based. If you can prove your aptitude with an element then you'll pass."

It sounds like a walk in the park!

Steven: "Wind… I want Wind!"

Headmaster: "Are you sure that's something you want to do? The School of Wind has a high dropout rate."

Steven: "I have a natural affinity to Wind magic. My pool of energy is sufficient and I learn quickly. Kanna and Livia can back that up."

Headmaster: "Livia?"

She smiles.

Livia: "He's a sponge when it comes to learning magic. I know he can do it."

Headmaster: "Then let me see your hand."

I handed him my hand and he does the usual "jab my palm with his thumb and figure out how powerful I am" thing.

So many people have done this to me that I wonder how it's done. Is it like a needle? It would explain the jabbing.

Headmaster: "I see… you're not lying about having enough magic power. We don't want any consequences to occur while you're studying."

He lets my hand go and proceeds to write in his ledger.

Steven: "No, of course not."

Headmaster: "What about you, Kanna? How will you get your grades up? You're further ahead than Steven so joining a club and focusing on your studies would bring you well over the 80's, maybe the low 90's, by the end of the term."

Kanna: "Alchemy Club… I want to be an Alchemist like my mom, so I want to join the Alchemy Club."

Headmaster: "Good. Stop by my office again after classes are over and I'll put in a good recommendation myself."

Livia: "Headmaster, are you sure? You said it yourself that picking favorites is against what the Academy stands for."

Headmaster: "I'm helping a student that was suspected of being afflicted with the Witch's Burning catch up on lost credits. I've done this with other sick students before, nobody is picking favorites here, Livia."

As he closes his ledger, a loose piece of paper flew out onto his desk. He realized it was a flyer for another one of the clubs and raises it so we can see it.

Headmaster: "Would either of you also be interested in the Literature Club?"

Steven: "I'm not selling my soul for poetry."

Kanna: "My literature scores are good enough already."

He puts it back down and turns his attention to Madelyn. She came with us to apply as a staff member.

Headmaster: "Now Madelyn… let me get this straight. You came not because you wanted to be a student but because you wish to be a counselor?"

Madelyn: "Yes, like Steven, my past is very convoluted. However, I studied Psychology at UCR in hopes of becoming a mental health therapist. I'm certain the Academy would benefit from a counselor like myself."

Headmaster: "You have been playing subtle mind games, I've noticed that. We have positions available for a guidance or discipline counselor. The way you've applied isn't orthodox but I'm sure we can work things out, all things considered. I can start with a few questions and giving you a tour of the Academy."

He leans back into his chair and looks at Livia.

Headmaster: "Right, Livia, could you show Steven to Mistress Alvina's class and return Kanna to Miss Layne's class?"

Livia: "Yes, Headmaster."

Headmaster: "Good, try to get those grades up, you 2."

Steven: "Good luck, sis."

We left the office as Livia guided us up the hallway. All of the classes were in session and we could hear the numerous teachers working in their classrooms. A lot of the teachers were covering the same topic, which showed how systematic the Academy works.

Kanna: "Madelyn wasn't kidding about wanting to find a job. It hasn't been a week and she's already applying here."

Steven: "Madelyn isn't a freeloader. I know she'll try to use the money she's earned to pay Yuuna for letting her stay. Either that or she just wants to live a normal life."

Livia: "She gets things done. I like her for that."

Kanna: "What do you mean by normal life?"

Steven: "Working 9 to 5, living in an apartment, paying for her living. The polar opposite of what she's been doing for the past 3 months."

Kanna: "What if she wants to move out and live her own life?"

Steven: "I'd be happy for her… unless she does decide to go her own way and leave the group. Then I'll be sad."

Madelyn does look like someone who wants to live on her own. Though, I know she wouldn't forget and leave us behind; it's not like her.

We turn a corner in the hallways and Livia stops in front of the first classroom, pointing to the plaque by the door. 

"A-10"

Livia: "This class is the School of Wind."

Steven: "Wait, we didn't walk that far."

Livia: "All elemental schools are in A-block with the honor students. Wait here for just a moment."

The Elemental Schools are all in A-block? I wonder what everyone would think if they saw me walking out of A-block. 

When the door slid open, the classroom looked far smaller than the theater-like room I imagined.

Steven: "The School of Wind is a smaller classroom than I thought."

Kanna: "They're specialized classes, a little bit like remedial."

Steven: "Does that mean we won't have class together from now on, master?"

Kanna: "Kanna…"

She sighs and holds my hand.

Kanna: "I'll see you during lunch. Just stay out of trouble until then. I'll give you a reward if you do."

Steven: "What kind of reward?"

Kanna: "That's a secret."

Woah…

There is no way she can be so naughty! I must be overreacting!

Steven: "R-Right, lunch. I'll see you then."

Kanna: "Are you blushing?"

Steven: "No."

Kanna: "Yes, you are! What kind of reward are you thinking of—?"

Steven: "Food."

Steven Omeo was an everyday high school student. One day, he was walking home with his friend when a girl suddenly begs them for aid. Little did they know it was a trap and attacked when they were alone.

After a 30 minute drive to classes I get out and head to my first class  of the day math.

My college campus goes as follows
Heartland state university 
In the close center is the main building where people register. It's mostly for administration purposes
North to it is building A for more prerequisite classes for all subjects
In front of A Is the quad 
West is building B and C for B is mostly for medical, and dental majors and C is for business and much more I haven't yet to know. 
South west is D it's for Trade classes like construction, automotive, welding etc  
East part of campus is E and F buildings. E is for science and teaching majors F is for the arts majors....
Off camps there are dorms.
Sorority houses and fraternity houses.

I go to my class in A building and as I enter The front doors I notice these two girls one blonde with twin braids with dark blue eyes smile as courteous as a Disney princess. 
The other girl long red hair the color of a nice blooming rose. The red hairs grin gives a stigma of warmth as they pass by me the blonde looks away from the other girl and looks directly at me while they continue to move and gives a little wave & nod.

I froze in less then a second full of jubilation from that courteous display. 
....note to self speak to her...but as the thought crossed my mind I look down at myself and remember I still look the same. The overweight mess of 235 pound sluggish  slob of a guy.:(:(:(.
But why did she acknowledge me like that. That heavenly beauty? My mind must have just played a trick on my dumb self....

"Your mind never fooled your master Aric. She did truly wave to you."
Is that you Kim? 
"Yes master it is I your personal helper AI in the mind -Kim. Nice to meet ya:)" 
It's good meet you Kim I say in my head. 
"I'm at your service master. Would you like to know those girls names and info?"
What what whaaaat!? You can do that? 
"Yes master see for yourself"  
A screen the size of an computer monitor appears in front of me. None of the faculty or my peers see it so that good. 
On the screen it shows a picture of the blonde from earlier like it took a profile pic....ok? The rest of it reads.

I then enter my classroom and take my seat. 
I sit between these to hefty fellas both look like they play for the college football team the Cerberus's I try to keep low profile no need to stir up trouble. 
Until I hear a " yo my guy can I borrow a pen I don't have one for class?  I turn to him all shaken. Reach in my bag and grab a pen. It's not too big a deal it came in a pack of 10 so it's all cool. I hand him the pen and say- here you are. 
" thanks dude u ok u look like you saw a ghost."
No..no it's nothing really just nervous about class is all. ...." uh alright well thanks it looks like class is starting" 
Math class seemed to flow normally 
 The lecture felt like it was being absorbed like I was a computer getting data.
"Thanks to me master your desires and learning capabilities are put to use no need to heavy lifting heeheee. Kim giggles"

A bit later math class is done for the day 
It's time for my literature class.
