Hello! My name is Y/n Bessho! I'm the brother of Emma and Kengo but in VRAINS they call me the Golden Gladiator! 

Lately VRAINS has been having some trouble with this group called the Knights of Hanoi. They're on the hunt for a duelist who calls himself Playmaker, who has this thing called an Ignis? I don't know. Kengo's been offline a lot lately, and Emma's been keeping an eye on Playmaker. 

I should also mention that I'm the only one out of the three of us that isn't a bounty hunter or thief. I'm only in Link VRAINS to duel and have fun. 

It was a normal day for the most part, I had gotten back from school, and logged into Link VRAINS as per usual. 

I should probably mention that my deck is unique, it's the Armatos Legio Deck. Emma got it from the SOL technologies databank (shhh!), it contains Cyberse Type monsters like Playmaker's.

When I logged on today however, I knew something was off. For one thing, everything was a very bright Gold Tint, maybe the Knights are screwing around with the coding? Nah it can't be, the servers are too advanced for that. 

Then again I've never seen anything like this. I wonder what's going on? Something is definitely wrong. 

As I continued onwards down the streets, I noticed that there wasn't anyone logged on either. Maybe I logged on to the wrong server? I tried logging out, unavailable. I'm seriously getting worried. 

There was a sort of woosh sound behind me. Seriously what's going on? 

"Is this some kind of prank?" I asked 

There was a figure approaching me, rather large and bulky, he looks like- Gore! 

"Oh thank god a friendly face! Do you know what's happening here?" I asked 

He raised his left arm where his duel disk was.

"Oh come on this is not the time." I said. 

Several dark round circles appeared around us, and then strange monsters appeared out of them. 

"Duel me." He said in a distorted voice. 

Something is definitely wrong here. I guess there's only one way to make him see reason! 

"Fine then, if that's the way it has to be, then let's do this!" I said as I readied my disk.

"I draw! I activate the Spell Card Gouki Re Match! I special Summon Headbatt and Suprex! Next I activate Riscorpio's Effect! When I only control Gouki Monsters I can summon it without tribute! Appear my Circuit! I set Headbatt, Suprex and Riscorpio in the Link Markers! I Link Summon, Link 3: Gouki Thunder Ogre! Next I activate the spell Monster Reborn to bring back Riscorpio! Then I activate Gouki Roar! Battle! Riscorpio attacks Legatus Legionis!"

"Sorry, but Judgement Arrows activates during your turn too!"

"What?" He said. 

Legionis and Riscorpio charged at each other, with Legionis decimation Riscorpio and the last of Gore's life points. 

Gore Life Points: 1200 - 0.

Gore just disappeared, and the monsters started closing in. On closer look, they're a bunch of floating heads with tongues sticking out.

"Great, now what do I do?" I asked

The monsters closed in on me, but before they got me, I was pulled away by a strange blue light.

So this is a unique story that is a crossover between Persona 4 and YuGiOh VRAINS. Our protagonist is the younger brother of Ghost Gal and Shepherd, who has a bad temper. This takes place before the events in VRAINS begin.

Monster Iblis Viktor memiliki kekuatan yang tak terbayangkan. Kecepatannya tidak bisa diimbangi, dan keterampilan bertarung Kilat Instan-nya sangat baik. Sederhananya, Viktor lebih unggul dalam pertempuran ini.
Tidak ada yang bisa menghentikannya untuk menyerang siapa pun yang dia inginkan!
Setidaknya, seperti itulah rasanya.
Beberapa saat sebelumnya, ketiga tentara bayaran itu berhasil memojokkan Viktor. Mereka hampir bisa menghabisinya dalam satu gerakan, tetapi pada saat berikutnya, situasinya terbalik. Sekarang, Link, pemimpin mereka yang berada dalam situasi bahaya besar.
Jacker dan Lucy adalah orang pertama yang kembali untuk membantu Link, tetapi mereka tidak dapat melakukan apa pun dengan perubahan sesingkat itu.
Kecepatan serangan Jacker membutuhkan waktu setidaknya setengah detik untuk mencapai Link, tetapi pada saat itu, Viktor sudah memiliki cukup waktu untuk menusuk Link tiga kali. Sementara itu walaupun Lucy sangat gesit, kecepatannya masih di belakang Jacker, jadi dia belum cukup cepat.
"Lindungi dia!" teriak Jacker kepada Gildern.
Pertempuran tadi jelas membuktikan bahwa Monster Iblis Viktor jauh melampaui apa yang bisa dilawan oleh ketiga tentara bayaran. Jika Link terbunuh, itu berarti mereka juga akan mati.
Pemanah Gildern memahami seberapa pentingnya Link. Dia siap menggunakan busurnya sebagai tongkat kayu untuk memukul Viktor. Dia tahu pukulan itu tidak akan membunuh atau bahkan serius melukai Viktor, tetapi dia berharap pukulan itu dapat menunda Viktor hingga Jacker dan Lucy dapat menjangkau mereka.
"Aku akan membunuhmu lebih dulu!" teriak Viktor.
Viktor benar-benar tidak terganggu oleh serangan busur panjang itu. Belati langsung mengarah ke Gildern, yang merupakan Pemanah, jadi pertarungan jarak dekat bukanlah keahliannya sama sekali. Viktor bahkan tidak repot-repot menghindari serangan sia-sia Gildern karena dia sangat ingin membunuh semua orang.
Gildern tahu dia tidak punya kesempatan untuk menghindari serangan Viktor, dia pikir dia akan mendapat pukulan terakhir, tapi kemudian, Bang! Bola Kaca Link meledak. Satu mengenai lengan Viktor sementara yang lain menyerang wajahnya. Serangan Viktor, sekali lagi, digagalkan oleh Penyihir!
Gildern secara naluriah mundur. Sekarang tidak ada lagi yang melindungi Link.
"Ah! Kamu masih berusaha menyelamatkan orang lain? Ayo kita lihat siapa yang akan menyelamatkanmu! Sudah waktunya kamu mati!" kata Viktor, dengan senyum jahat di wajahnya.
Dia menerjang maju dengan belati dan menghantam Link di jantungnya — bukan Link yang sebenarnya, melainkan, Avatar Fisiknya.
Tapi bagaimana mungkin yang dia tusuk adalah avatar?
Itu karena, pada saat Viktor meluncurkan Kilat Instan ke arahnya, insting Link muncul. Sebagai Penyihir yang bertubuh lemah, dia sangat sensitif terhadap serangan mendadak semacam ini. Jadi, dia secara intuitif melangkah mundur, membuat Avatar Fisik sedikit lebih dekat ke Viktor.
Dalam setiap pertempuran sengit, adalah naluri alami untuk menyerang target yang paling dekat denganmu.
Di mata Viktor, mereka hanya sepasang Penyihir Kembar, mereka berdua harus dibunuh dan tidak masalah yang mana yang lebih dulu mati. Jadi secara alami, dia menyerang orang yang paling dekat dengannya!
Tetapi begitu belati tertancap, Viktor menyadari ada sesuatu yang salah.
Dia telah membunuh banyak orang sebelumnya, dia tahu persis bagaimana rasanya ketika belati menembus daging dan tulang, tetapi sekarang, perasaan itu hilang. Rasanya tidak seperti menikam tubuh — rasanya kasar seolah-olah dia menancap belati ke tanah.
Apa yang sedang terjadi? Viktor kaget.
Kemudian, Link menyerahkan kendali atas Avatar Fisiknya dan mantranya mulai runtuh. Avatar itu berubah menjadi gumpalan tanah dan pasir. Viktor segera tahu bahwa dia telah melakukan kesalahan besar!
"Bola Kaca!" Link mengucapkan mantra dengan suara yang rendah dan tenang. Dengan sedikit gerakan tongkatnya, bola-bola kecil muncul di udara satu demi satu. Kali ini, Link benar-benar memusatkan semua perhatiannya pada mantra, dan dalam waktu kurang dari setengah detik, total 9 bola cahaya biru muncul di udara.
Bola Kaca bergerak dalam dua kelompok: yang pertama terbang ke arah wajah Viktor dan yang lainnya diarahkan ke luka tusukan di lengan Viktor.
Seperti Gildern, Link tidak berharap untuk secara serius melukai Viktor; dia hanya ingin memperlambat serangannya, memberi Jacker waktu untuk mengejarnya.
Untuk memaksimalkan kecepatan mantranya, Link berdiri diam seperti batu. Tetapi Gildern berpikir itu adalah ide yang buruk, ia fokus pada satu hal — Link tidak boleh mati. Dia mengayunkan busurnya ke punggungnya, lalu dengan kedua tangan membawa tubuh Link menjauh, lari dari Monster Iblis Viktor secepat mungkin.
Link tidak terpengaruh oleh semua ini. Dia benar-benar fokus pada mantra.
Meskipun kobaran api tidak bisa menyakitinya, Viktor tidak berani meremehkan dampak ledakan ini. Bagian lain dari tubuhnya bisa tahan, tapi matanya tidak tahan sama sekali; dia harus menutup matanya. Tetapi dalam pertempuran melawan serangan gabungan, menutup matanya bahkan untuk sesaat berarti kematian atau kekalahan. Luka di lengannya juga tidak tahan terhadap serangan itu, jadi ketika dihadapkan dengan serangan ledakan, ia tidak punya pilihan selain menghindarinya.
Meski begitu, dia meremehkan mantra Link. Bola Kaca tidak seperti panah; lintasannya bisa berubah kapan saja. Ketika jaraknya cukup pendek, tidak mungkin bisa menghindari serangan ini!
Bang bang bang bang bang! Viktor hanya bisa merasakan kulit di wajahnya mati rasa, tetapi dia tidak berani membuka matanya. Satu-satunya hal yang bisa dia cium adalah udara panas di sekitarnya dan ini membuatnya ragu bahkan untuk bernapas karena udara mungkin membakar paru-parunya.
Luka tusuk di lengan kanannya tersengat rasa sakit yang membakar; Rasanya seluruh lengannya terbakar hingga garing.
Dalam keadaan ini, ia tidak memiliki kekuatan lagi untuk menggunakan Kilat Instan untuk mengejar Link.
Pada saat ini, Jacker berhasil mencapai Link — dia menggunakan Serangannya!
Buk! Setelah serangan Link sebelumnya, Jacker, dengan sekuat tenaga, menggunakan perisainya untuk mengenai Viktor yang terdiam tepat di punggungnya.
Ahhh! Tubuh Viktor bergetar dan dia mengeluarkan darah yang gelap dan tebal. Luka-lukanya parah dan dia sekarang benar-benar lumpuh.
Celah serangan yang sempurna!
Lucy dekat di belakang Jacker. Pedangnya menusuk dada Viktor dari punggungnya. Pedang telah menembus tubuhnya sedalam satu inci, tetapi Lucy tidak yakin apakah itu cukup. Pedang tidak menembus jantung Viktor, tetapi serangan itu mengejutkannya, jadi reaksi Viktor melambat jauh.
Lucy menyadari perbedaan besar dalam tingkat keterampilan antara dia dan monster ini, jadi setelah menusuknya sekali, dia menarik kembali pedang dan bersembunyi di balik perisai Jacker, menunggu celah serangan yang lain.
Tapi Jacker tidak keberatan. Dia tahu bahwa dia adalah tameng rekan-rekannya. Satu-satunya hal yang dia fokuskan adalah untuk menghentikan atau menunda serangan monster ini, bahkan jika itu berarti menerima pukulan untuk dirinya sendiri, dan pada saat yang sama menciptakan celah untuk serangan rekan-rekannya.
Dia mengayunkan perisainya ke arah Viktor, lalu dengan cepat menarik kembali perisai itu untuk melindungi dirinya sendiri. Kemudian dengan tangan kanannya, dia mengayunkan palu perang ke tengkorak Viktor.
Menghadapi serangan palu perang yang besar, yang bisa dia lakukan hanyalah memiringkan kepalanya ke samping.
Buk! Palu perang menabrak bahu kiri Monster Iblis Viktor dan membuat suara mengerikan.
Palu perang seberat 170 pound, dan Jacker mengayunkannya sekuat tenaga. Sebuah lekukan muncul di bahu Viktor; tulang-tulang di dalamnya telah hancur!
Kedua tangan Viktor lemas dan tidak berguna. Namun, kekuatan badan Monster Iblis adalah bisa meningkatkan kecepatan pemulihan. Asap hitam berputar di atas masing-masing luka Viktor dan lukanya sembuh dengan kecepatan sempurna.
Jika Viktor bisa beristirahat, dia pasti bisa melawan dan memenangkan pertempuran!
Tetapi apakah Link akan membiarkan itu terjadi? Tentu saja tidak!
"Serang dengan sekuat tenaga!" teriak Link.
Ini adalah kesempatan terbaik mereka!
Lucy menghampiri Viktor lagi. Gildern meletakkan Link, memasang panahnya dan menembakkan beberapa panah ke Viktor. Jacker terus memukul Viktor dengan palu perangnya dengan amarah yang gila. Link sendiri terus menggunakan mantra, dan bola-bola kecil terus menembak lurus ke arah luka di tubuh Viktor.
Dalam waktu kurang dari sedetik, Viktor benar-benar hancur di bawah rentetan serangan!
Tubuh monster iblis mungkin kuat dan tangguh, tetapi di bawah gelombang serangan yang kuat, ia akhirnya hancur menjadi boneka kain compang-camping.
Krak! Tengkorak Viktor hancur terkena palu perang Jacker. Ketika ia berguling-guling di tanah, tubuhnya penuh luka yang tampaknya seperti seribu luka, tidak ada sepotong daging bagus yang tersisa di tubuh Viktor.
Tetapi bahkan untuk luka yang serius, monster ini masih belum mati — masih bernapas dan berjuang. Uap hitam masih berputar-putar di sekitar tubuhnya, berusaha menyembuhkan luka.
Ini membuat ketiga tentara bayaran ngeri. Mereka tidak peduli seberapa hancur tubuh Viktor, mereka terus menyerangnya dengan kegilaan yang mengejutkan.
Lebih dari sepuluh detik kemudian, Jacker merosot ke tanah, berusaha mengatur napas. Lucy bersandar di dinding gua, basah oleh keringat. Gildern sedang memijat lengannya yang kram.
Di antara ketiganya ada tumpukan daging yang hancur yang dulunya adalah Viktor.
"Apakah dia benar-benar mati sekarang?" Jacker masih skeptis dan khawatir, jadi dia ingin memastikannya dengan Link. Monster Iblis Viktor begitu mengerikan dan aneh, mengingatkannya pada iblis di legenda.
Di legenda, iblis tidak mati. Tiga tentara bayaran tidak berani mengambil risiko dengan Viktor. Jika perlu, mereka akan membakar mayat Viktor menjadi abu, lalu menyimpan abu itu di sembilan guci yang berbeda dan mengubur guci-guci itu secara terpisah. Mereka juga akan memastikan bahwa masing-masing guci setidaknya 20 mil jauhnya dari yang lain. Menurut legenda, itu adalah satu-satunya cara kau bisa memastikan iblis tidak hidup kembali.
Link mengangguk pelan, lalu berkata, "Dia sudah mati."
Dia hanya ditransformasikan oleh sihir iblis, kekuatan hidupnya masih sangat jauh berbeda dari iblis sejati. Tidak mungkin Monster Iblis Viktor bisa selamat setelah dipukuli sedemikian rupa.
Sesuatu berkedip di antarmuka. Link memeriksanya dan menemukan pemberitahuan untuk misi yang selesai. Dia telah membunuh Monster Iblis Viktor dan menyelesaikan misi memusnahkan sihir iblis. Dia kemudian mendapat hadiah 30 Omni Poin.
Dan sekarang dia memiliki total 39 Omni Poin.
"Sekarang, semua yang ada di Teluk Gema adalah milik kita. Sudah waktunya untuk berkemas," Link mengingatkan mereka.
Kalimat itu menyemangatkan kembali tentara bayaran yang kelelahan. Mata mereka tiba-tiba bersinar seperti bola cahaya, dan dalam sekejap, mereka mulai mengumpulkan jarahan mereka.


Link adalah Penyihir papan atas di seluruh pusat data. Ia baru saja mengalahkan boss paling kuat, Tuan dari Kedalaman, Nozama dan partainya. Dan kemudian, Dia tidak  dibawa kembali ke desanya, tetapi ia dibawa ke lokasi rahasia yang diacak gambarnya dengan computer graphic (pixelated CG). 
Rasanya seperti tersedot dan terdengar suara megah dan berwibawa yang memanggil dirinya sebagai Dewa Sinar.  
"Link, maukah engkau menjadi penyelamat dari dunia Firuman dan menariknya dari jurang kegelapan yang dalam?" 
Suatu misi yang sangat besar! Andai saja ini ada di dunia nyata, Link pasti tanpa ragu-ragu sudah menolaknya. Tetapi dia sudah dinobatkan sebagai pahlawan dalam permainan ini. 
"Ya, aku siap!" Link menjawab dengan percaya diri.
"Kalau begitu, selamat berjuang" 
Dan lalu mulailah perjalanan magis, persahabatan, pengkhianatan, cinta dan putus asa dalam dunia yang selalu berubah, Dunia Firuman. 

Ness: Inkzilla?

Toon Link: Wait a minute, who's Inkzilla?

Paula: An entity that feeds on the innocence with its black ink. Any citizen that gets infected by the black ink will turn into ravaging demonic-like ink monsters that destroys the city by spitting out its ink.

Lucas: Oh my goodness, what if your world ends because of the black goo?

Paula: Don't worry. I got this.

Other Splatoons: Don't you mean we got this?

Paula: Huh? Sasha, Katie, Lindsay, Franklin, & Kaki?

The gang: How's it hanging?

Ness: Wait, you know those people?

Paula: Of course, they're my best friends from Inkopolis Elementary School.

Paula: Guys, meet my friends: Ness, Lucas, Sammy, & Link.

Ness and the gang: Hey, guys!

Kaki: So, what's with the squirts? You're babysitting them or something?

Ness: Babysitting?! Look, you little termite, if you're calling me a bab-

Lucas: Ness! No violence!

Lucas: Look, we came into this world because a certain somebody want it to go. And were here to stop the ink monster from terrorizing this town.

Sammy: Yeah. It's sums up why we're here.

Kaki: Oh, ok.

Sasha: Why in the world would you say that, you idiot?

Kaki: Ow! Hitting me is a federal offense!

Sasha: I can hit you as many times if you provoke me.

Katie: Guys, stop it.

Lucas: Thank you, Katie.

Paula: Guys, look the monster is coming this way!

The gang: (gasps)

Inkzilla: (roars)

Inkzilla is stomping its way to the center of the city.

Lucas: Oh man, we're in for it now!

Ness: Maybe not.

Lucas: Huh?!

Ness: Maybe I can stop it.

Ness: PK Flash!

The monster is unaffected by Ness' powers.

Ness: Did it work? What?! I didn't work?!

Lucas: Let me try. PK Fire!!

The monster is unaffected by Lucas' powers as well.

Toon Link & Sammy: Let us try!

Toon Link: Triforce of Courage!!

Sammy: Beehive Mayhem!!!

The monster is unaffected by both Link & Sammy's powers. Nothing will stop this monster.

Ness: Man, nothing will ever stop this beast.

Lucas: We'll never get through this. Dang.

The Inklings: Don't worry, guys. We'll defeat this demon.

Paula: Yeah. But, wait? Here, grab these ink tanks.

Ness and the gang: Thank you.

Ness: Now, let's do this!

The whole gang: YEAH!!!

The whole gang grabs their ink tank and skyrocket up in the air to attack the monster. The gang uses their ink tanks to shoot strong acid ink at the monster to create holes inside the monster body and sides. And with that, Ness & Lucas uses their final powers to blast the monster to oblivion.

Ness & Lucas: PK STARSTORM!!!!!

The monster explodes.

Ness: We did it!!

Lucas: Thank the heavens.

Paula: Thank you so much, guys. I really appreciate it.

The gang: You're welcome.

Ness: Wait, do you want to come with us and stay in Smashville?

Paula: No, thanks. But I'm happy here.

Ness: Ok. Well, we'll see you next time.

Paula: OK, TAKE CARE!!!

Ness: SEE YOU!! I'LL MARRY YOU IN THE FUTURE!!

The gang: Ness?

Paula: Hahahahahahahaha.

As the gang wave Paula goodbye, Toon Link uses the Triforce to go back to their homeworld and enter Tom Nook's shop to eat some pasta.

In the same vein as video game comic dubs, the story (based off of the critically acclaimed franchise Super Smash Bros) revolves around four young children: the cautious Lucas, the intelligent Hylian Toon Link, the confident, optimistic yet arrogant Ness, and the calm and collected Sammy as they get themselves into various shenanigans in the fictional world of Smashville.

Link sat on the sand, observing the fight happening far away from him, a huge snake, was surrounded by almost 30 armed lizardmen, that looked far stronger than the ones he had fought 2 months ago
The Lizardmen kept poking at the huge snake with their spears. While other slashed at it with their swords.
But the Huge lsnake was unaffected, and it kept trashing and stomping at its prey with glee, but suddenly, an arrow, hit its right eye.
  "GRAHHHHHHH"
The huge snake screeched.
  'Rip' Link thought to himself, as he saw the enraged lizard, sraise its head up high.
Suddenly its eyes started to glow yellow, and it opened its mouth and yelled.

Link coud hear the loud yell even though he had distanced himself far away, so the lizardmens that were near the beast, had their ears ruptured.
But that wasn't the end of it, slowly, the lizardmen, started to get petrified, slowly turning into stone.
The basilic, a deadly creature, that had the powers of petrification, snakes with a very bad temper, that if you even came close to annoying them, would only stop when you dropped dead.
The basilic, seeing its prey petrified, started to devour them one by one, and after finishing its meal, dug back into the sand.
  'What is this god damn hell'
Link, for the past 2 months, had travelled around the desert, and saw things that even he was scared of.
Giant snakes, Giant lizards, Giant Scorpions, Giant Wasps.
Each of these monsters had a racial limit of rank C, and most of the ones he had met, had already reached rank E in at least 2 stats.
And with danger all around him, Link had honed his sixth sense even more, just like earlier, he felt alarmed and a sense of danger from a spot up ahead, so he took a detour.
But the nearby lizardmen group like the stupid lizards they were, walked straight into that spot, resulting in the current situation.
Were it not for his sixth sense, Link would be the one being petrified and being devoured right now.
  'This place is vast as hell itself, plus, full of freakish monsters, Just for how long do I need to survive here'
Link started to think objectively, about this trial, he had a hunch that the trial wasn't really just 'Surviving', but he didn't have enough evidence to back up this thought, for that bastard rashmar didn't really provide him with any kind of information about this place, rather, he just straight up threw him at a bunch of lizardmen excepting him to die.
  "I'm just glad I came prepared"
Link looked at his clothes, that covered most of his skin, he would be in a really shitty state, if he didn't come prepared, the environment here was extreme even it, was going after his life, he had encountered 5 sand storms just in the past month.
  "Adrstia"
Link suddenly spoke, and suddenly a small screen opened up in front of him again.

He had finally reached rank F, and without using any of his potential, but this was as far << Body Of Endless Battle >> could take him.
Now he needed to start using his own potential to raise his stats, it takes around 1000 of PT for him to reach rank E in one stat.
And even more for him to reach rank D, his PT really wasn't enough at all.
Link took out a small bead from his bag, looked at it for a second, then swallowed it.
Once a monster reached Rank F in any kind of stats, they would form a core inside their body.
The core was named Monster core by the people, and was sought after by everyone, because inside the core, is PT.
And the Bead that Link had just swallowed was exactly that. Soon the PT on his status changed from 4580 to 4580.5.
At that Link had a bitter look, remembering the close fight he had with 10 lizardmen, and their leader that was a F rank monster.
He had risked his life, but only got half a PT.
But he knew the bead wasn't to blame, rather, he was, swallowing a monster core raw was the most wasteful thing to do.
The monster Core needed further treatments, and to be mixed with spiritual herbs that could bring out their real potential, and that's were alchemist came in.
Alchemists, people that made regents out of monster components.
But sadly Link was no alchemist, and his party in the past had a person solely focused on alchemy, so he never felt the need to become one until today.
Link made a note to himself to pick up alchemy, whenever he got the chance as he stood up and inspected his surroundings, his sixth sense was screaming danger like never before, but the confusing thing about it was that the danger he felt, was coming from all directions.
it was a deadly silent place, the more he stayed there, the more anxious he felt.

"Yes sir, Link entered the Ghoul's cave." A Man with a thick mustache and a beard that would make even Santa jealous spoke to a man with disturbing scars. It was the man Link spoke with when he was captured by the Bandits a while back. "He's too arrogant. Hunting a Level 5 Monster with his abilities, he'll definitely die. He's not even fighting one, but three of them"
"What should we do sir?" The man with the beard asked, his name was Mike. One of the commanders belonging to the Bandit's camp.
"We don't need to do a thing. He deserves to die for his ignorance. Stealing my Soul Contract and insulting me like that. Death is a deserving fate" The man with the scars was visibly angry. He was the son of the Kaibol's City Lord.
Kaibol is a prosperous City. It was bigger and financially superior to Yanda City. Although it had everything, the City Lord is an ambitious man. He wanted more power and influence. His Sons Joel and San, did everything their father commanded out of fear. Although he appeared to be kind and graceful in public. His character was the complete opposite at home. He was strict and cruel to his own family. He claimed that he did what he did out of love.
San was the man in charge of the Bandits in Yanda City. The plan was risky but he could not refuse his father's orders. He made sure that both his sons knew the consequences of questioning him. Hence the Scars that covered both of them.
To the public, those scars were the results of training and adventures. But it could never be further from the truth. Although their story is pitiful, due to being raised by such a despicable and inhumane man. They bore the same personality as him. They kill and torture for the simplest reasons, which branded them the nickname 'Devil Brothers'.
"Should we leave some people to watch the Cave just in case sir? I don't think we can be this sure he'll really die in there" Mike asked. He was the man responsible for training the soldiers. After seeing Lilia, Feo and Arlo return in bad shapes, and hearing about the loss of the 2 best soldiers he trained. Mike knew that Link was someone not to be underestimated.
"Mike, you're a valuable ally and I've seen nothing but loyalty and competence from you..." Said San.
Mike frowned, he did not understand why San was saying that now. "Thank you sir" He responded.
"...But question my word again, or make me repeat myself one more FUCKING TIME. I'LL RIP YOU TO PIECES, YOU UNDERSTAND ME??"
"Y..Yes Sir" Mike bowed, and left quickly.
"I'm surrounded by morons" San said after seeing Mike leave. "Even if that brat did survive and managed to win and kill those Ghouls. I'll make him wish he died and was ripped apart by them instead" San looked out the window again. He was in the same position Link saw him in when he met the man. His eyes focusing on a figure down in the field. A hand made spear was stabbed in the ground, at the end of it there was a head. The man's eyes were wide open, maggots could be seen moving around as most of the eyes were eaten. His mouth and nose were swarming with them. "Ming. You'll have a friend to keep you company soon" San said with a smile.

"Alright, let's get going" Link stretched after getting up. He had been thinking about a way to earn Money quickly, and he realized something. "I never sold my Core, or even the Monster Corpses.. Maybe i should start now to get some extra coins"
Cores obviously were extremely valuable for many reasons, but Monster Corpses had some pretty good uses as well, depending on the Creature.
Since Beast Souls do not exist in this Continent. Their Armors and Weapons market was very active. Back in Link's original Continent, Armors and Weapons were a lot cheaper than here, since people would rather purchase a Beast Soul which is easy to use and way more trusted than something physically made. That unfortunately caused the drop in prices and the cheap coin offered for Monster Corpses.
In here though, it was the opposite. But Link did not care much, and fed all the Corpses that he got his hands on to Zasho.
Armors and Weapons crafting required Monster materials. Link had the System to do the crafting for him but people here learned how to do the same thing with the right Monster Corpses and Mana Crystals. "All I need to do is sell the Corpses i get from now on, then i'll purchase the Mana Crystals for Zasho's evolution and get myself some things before returning to the academy" Link thought.
With Recollection, he returned to his room with ease. He planned on taking quests with the most desirable Monster Materials, but he needed to report his successful hunt of the Ghouls.

"I already started making use of the other 2 Corpses and did not bring them, but here's one" Link spoke to the Guild Master inside a private room. This was the routine whenever Link completed a huge Quest. He was the VIP of the Guild.
The Guild Master's name was Garrol. He was a veteran Adventurer that retired here. He was a kind and honorable man, which made Link respect him.
Garrol sat there in shock. He could not believe what he was hearing. When he first heard from the receptionist that Link asked for a Private room and an audience with him. He thought it was the usual quest completion. But the moment he sat down until now. Garrol failed to blink. His eyes watered. The shock of what he was hearing was massive.
He looked at the Ghoul Corpse laying on the ground, and his eyes opened even more. "That's not even a Lesser Ghoul. It's a developed Ghoul. These things should be Level 5"
"Yeah. I needed their materials for a project of mine and decided to hunt them. It was not easy but i somehow managed" Link couldn't tell people about Zasho. Running around with a giant wolf was not common. Since Beast Souls did not exist here, Link had no way to explain his little friend. Zasho was obviously a Beast and not an elemental fairy.
Elemental Fairies were beings kept as pets. They are bought as eggs from Magical Stores and have to be looked after until they hatch. There were so many types of them and depending on your luck, the being that comes out of your egg might be the type you desired. They were mostly small, the size of a fist. But others might grow to become half the size of an adult. Which was why Zasho's massive size screamed 'Beast'.
"Would you be willing to sell their Cores?" Garrol asked. He listened to Link's excuse about not wanting to sell the Corpses and wanted to ask, but to his disappointment, Link refused.
"Sorry, I need the Cores as well" Link felt bad for the man but he already consumed the Cores. There was nothing he could do.
Word got around about Link's achievement, which boosted his reputation even further. He ranked up again and received an award for getting rid of potential threats directly from the City Lord. 
The man invited Link into his mansion and spoke for a while, before handing him a fat purse. "Thank you for your service, son" The old man shook Link's hand and said goodbye. 
The Lord waved and returned inside, heading straight to his room. The moment he entered, and made sure no one was around. The expression on his face completely changed. "What rotten luck. This bastard just had to go and kill the Ghouls. Now i can't ask for reinforcements from the Royals anymore" He paced around his room, thinking. After a while, his face lit up "Maybe i should get that kid to do the work then.. Link was his name right? Ok, let's do that. He ruined my plan and should take responsibility" The man left his room and started walking at a quick pace, heading somewhere.

Link has been hunting for 3 days non stop. He sold so many Corpses to the Guild and consumed a decent amount of Cores. Zasho already evolved into a Level 4 Beast, he still looked the same, there were no physical changes, but a new Skill appeared in his list.
<Poison Bite: Gives the ability to infect a target with a mere bite. The Poison will make the area bitten turn rotten. Which will slowly spread>
Link was happy, he realized that Zasho might receive a new Skill every time he Levels Up, which was fascinating. But what caught Link's attention was not the idea of a Skill, but the Skill itself. Link had a small suspicion regarding the Skill. He thought it might have been related to either their fight with the Ghouls, or the fact that Zasho ate Ghoul Corpses before Leveling Up.
"If that is the case, then I can somehow control the element or type of Skill Zasho can receive" Link spoke to himself. Since he discovered this, he had been feeding Zasho a single type of Monster Corpse.

The entire space was rendered distorted, mad, depraved, and evil, making it very creepy!

After the death of three of the undead, Link and Herrera heard a great deal of noise coming from the forest and they noticed a large number of things approaching them. At the same time, the aura of black magic got more and more intense around them.
What made it that much more shocking was the fact that there was also a sound of wings flapping in the air, which meant that they wouldn't be able to escape by flying either.
There was no doubt that they were witnessing the undead army of the Necromancer!
"The opponent is hell-bent on keeping us here," said Herrera with a deep frown on her face, "Escaping this place is probably next to impossible now."
"The only way we could escape is to kill the Necromancer!" said Link.
Link had seen through the magic being used here now. The black magic he'd seen was very similar to the summoning spells he'd learned in the textbooks. The Necromancer's battle strategy so far hadn't been particularly unique either. The only way to get through all of this was to attack their leader head-on.
"But he's in the Mage Tower," said Herrera in an anguished voice. "And every time we try to approach it, we're hit by an endless barrage of black magic attacks!"
The sound of the undead army's footsteps got nearer and louder. Judging by the sound, there must be more than a thousand of them and they were approaching them from all directions – no doubt about it, they were now surrounded.
There was no feasible way for a Magician to attack or defeat another Magician in a Mage Tower. There are Elemental Pools in the Mage Tower, not to mention a large number of magic seals which stored an unimaginable power of magic. Meanwhile, the Mage Tower itself was also resistant to magic attacks. Overall, Link and Herrera's combined powers were not nearly enough to bring it down.
To put it in Earth's terms, Link and Herrera were like empty handed soldiers, while their opponent was hiding in an armed tank. How was it possible for them to defeat the opponent? It was good enough for them to be able to escape.
But the situation that Link and Herrera were facing was much worse than that. Not only was the opponent inside a tank, he was also commanding an army that was inexhaustible in number. Link and Herrera had no way of defeating them all and they were prevented from fleeing. If they went on this way for any longer, they would certainly die off depleted Mana.
After a quick discussion, the two found that they were now in a truly desperate position.
"What should we do?" asked Herrera.
She was already at a loss of what step to take next. She had been continuously casting spells just now, and had depleted 20% of her Mana so far, yet all they've done was kill only three of the undead – and they were now confronted with a thousand more! Even if each of the undead was an easy target to kill, their numbers meant that they could use up their Mana to eliminate all of them. And a Magician with no Mana was nothing more than a sheep waiting to be slaughtered.
"We push through as hard as we can and head to the Mage Tower!" said Link, already charging forward. Herrera gritted her teeth and caught her breath, then followed Link.
While running, she reluctantly said, "The Necromancer should at least be a Level-5 Magician, it's impossible for us to break into his Mage Tower."
"It is possible," said Link, "I know a powerful spell, an extremely powerful spell. As long as we can get close to the tower, we'll have a chance of breaking into it!"
He still had one last trick up his sleeve after all – the 100 Omni Points.
At this point, the Mana in his body was almost full, so even though the opponent was hiding behind the walls of a Mage Tower, Link was confident that he could force himself in with a Level-8 spell, if only he could get closer to it.
This way, he could topple the opponent's tank with his own anti-tank missile!
Still, Herrera stared at Link in incredulity, doubtful of his claim of this extremely powerful spell.
"It's a divine revelation!" said Link, to convince Herrera.
As an Angel of Light, she had to concede once Link invoked the power of the gods. And so she finally went along with Link's plan.
They were now equipped with Cheetah's Agility, Herrera's Holy Light, as well as the Edelweiss shield. This time, even if the undead ambushed them under the cover of the thick white mist, they were still able to easily handle it.
The good news was that they were close to the lake, in fact they were almost on its shores. After charging forward for a few steps, Link leaped into the lake. As soon as his skin hit the water a cold shiver ran down his spine. He could feel that the lake water contained concentrated amounts of black magic elements. The lake water was so old that if it wasn't for the protection of the Edelweiss shield and Herrera's Holy Light, Link would've frozen to death right then and there.
Herrera followed him into the lake. They had no other place to run to since the land was teeming with the undead. Although they weren't afraid of them, they still couldn't afford to waste their limited Mana on these ghoulish puppets.
The undead were naturally unafraid of the water as well. When they saw Link and Herrera jumping into the lake, each of them followed suit. One by one they made a splash as they entered the water like dumplings dropped into the pot of soup.
But their speed in the water was far removed from their speed on land. In fact, it turned out that none of them could swim, so they sunk like bricks straight into the depths of the lake. Some of them still attempted to chase Link and Herrera as they reached the lakebed, but then their movements were too sluggish to pose any threats there.
"Levitation!"
Herrera cast a spell before she jumped over the lake, which allowed her to hover about three feet over the surface of the lake without a drop of water on her body. She then cast the spell on Link as well and he slowly floated up from the surface of the water.
"...Why didn't you cast this spell earlier?" asked Link with a muddled expression. He was slightly annoyed that she didn't cast the spell before he got himself as wet as a drowned rat.
Herrera couldn't help but smile at Link's look of distress look and she even calmed down a little.
"My bad," she said, holding in laughter, "But you were already in the water before I knew it!" She then pointed the wand in her hand at Link and cast a simple spell to dry him off.
Link couldn't argue with that, so he glided towards the Mage Tower with Herrera close behind.
Even though the thick white mist still obscured their vision, they didn't have to worry about getting lost because the Mana fluctuations around the Mage Tower were so strong that both of them knew where to head without looking.
They estimated that they should be slightly less than a mile away from the dark tower.
After gliding over the lake surface for close to a hundred feet, they realized that the mist on the surface of the lake became denser and denser. By now the visibility range was no more than a few feet, any further than that and it felt as if they were heading into a solid white wall.
To avoid getting lost, Herrera and Link had to move very closely together. In fact, their shoulders were almost touching as they glided towards the ominous Mage Tower.
By now, they both had no idea what to expect or what kind of danger they would face—nor did they know what kind of fate was waiting for them in the Mage Tower.
Meanwhile, in the Mage Tower, the Necromancer Shade was looking at the magic mirror which was showing him what Link and Herrera were up to.
"Did they jump into the lake?" said Shade, laughing, "They can't be rushing to their deaths fast enough!"
Shade had centuries of practice in defending the Mage Tower. In all these years, he had fought in countless battles, and he'd killed innumerable Magicians of the Realm of Light who had attempted to defeat him. How foolish of these Magicians to think that he would leave the lake undefended!
Indeed, he had already prepared the final scenes for these two characters on the lake!
"Arise, Inosa!"
Shade was standing in the Mage Tower controlling the magic seals. He then pointed the wand in his hand towards the floor, and Mana shot towards one of the seals, making it glow instantaneously. Then, the aura it emitted started to spin, at first slowly but it gradually got faster and faster. About three seconds later, a stream of magic runes about eight inches thick shot out of the magic seal and headed towards the refracting crystal on the dome at the top of the tower.
As it hit the crystal, the stream of magic runes was reflected and it headed into the depths of the dark and murky lake.
Over the surface of the lake, Link and Herrera noticed the sudden flash of light, and at the same time they could distinctly feel the violent Mana fluctuations coming from Shade. Seconds later, they could feel the water under their feet began to stir. At first, there were ripples across the lake surface, then the ripples became waves and then the waves grew more vicious and more tumultuous.
The raging waves made noises so loud it was almost deafening.
Herrera was stunned by the changes in the lake and Link was alarmed himself. When he got here in the game in his previous life, Mist Basin was already occupied by the Dark Elves, so he didn't encounter the undead army or the Necromancer then.
But he did have a clear memory of the monster that rose from the depths of this lake.
He'd assumed, at that time, that the monster from the murky depths of the lake had always belonged to the Dark Elves instead of the Necromancer and was moved here later by the elves. That was why he'd chosen to jump into the lake. He'd realized too late that the monster had always been here, even before the Dark Elves' army arrived.
This was indeed an unexpected and most inconvenient turn of events.
Link clearly remembered that this behemoth of the depths was named Inosa. It was an Epic-level Boss. The word large couldn't begin to describe it. It was at least a hundred feet tall, and its appearance was similar to the eight-headed dragon of Japanese folklore or the Lernean Hydra of Greek mythology.
This particular monster was a six-headed Hydra. Each head possessed a different magic power, and each was capable of unleashing one powerful Level-5 spell.
The lake water suddenly churned more violently, until finally, there was a loud booming noise. Out from the surface of the water, about a hundred yards away from Link and Herrera, the colossal beast emerged.
The momentum created by the monster's emergence from the depths of the lake was so powerful that even the dense mist on the surface of the lake was scattered and cleared out. Link and Herrera were then able to clearly see the monster.
Link had been prepared for this, so he was not much disturbed by the monster's appearance, though he was slightly surprised by how much more vicious the monster looked compared to the one he saw in the game. It was Herrera's first time seeing it though.
"But this is the six-headed Hydra, the hell dweller!" she exclaimed in a shaken voice after quietly examining the monster for a while. "How did it get here?"
Link realized that this Hydra was of the dragon variant. It's no wonder that it was an Epic-level Boss in the game.
"Do you have a way to deal with it?" Link asked Herrera.
This behemoth was more than a hundred feet tall, plus it was one of the more ferocious types of Hydra. Link figured his Flame Blasts could do no more harm to the monster than a few scratches, let alone defeat it. It would have to be up to Herrera now.
If even Herrera had no way of fighting this behemoth, then he would immediately give up the intention of defeating the Necromancer and spend the Omni Points he had to gain all the force necessary to escape.
He had initially chosen to fight to the end because he believed there was a chance for him to succeed. But as things stood now, Link was smart enough to know that fighting would mean certain death!
Herrera stared fixedly at Inosa. The monster made no move to attack, it was only malevolently baring its teeth in the distance. After scrutinizing it for three full seconds, she finally made her decision.
"It isn't a pure-blood Hydra," said Herrera, "And it isn't that powerful either. I know a spell that could kill it, but it requires a long spellcasting time."
"How much time do you need?" asked Link, no longer hesitating between fighting or fleeing.
"One minute! It's a Level-6 spell that I've just mastered," answered Herrera.
"One minute it is then!" answered Link, "Go ahead! I'll buy you some time!"
Link was not the kind of person to go down without fighting back. They had been pounded with wave after wave of attacks from the Necromancer, so it was their turn to give him a taste of their power!


Link was the top Archmage in the entire server. He had just defeated the strongest boss, the Lord of The Deep, Nozama with his party. However, instead of going back to town, he was transported to a secret location with pixelated CG. 

It sort of felt like a vacuum, and within it came a glorious and commanding voice that calls himself the God of Light. 

"Link, would you be willing to be the saviour who will pull the World of Firuman out from the churning abyss?"

What a huge mission! If it was in the real world, Link would have rejected it immediately. However, he was bent on being the hero in game.

"Bring it on!" Link answered confidently.

"Then, best of luck." 

And so begin Link's journey of magic, friendship, betrayal, love and despair in the ever changing World of Firuman.
