Some of the monster beast see us and want to assault us but Glowy's mother step in and stop every monster whose going

Reizo pushed back the maces and cracked his knuckles. All of the bandits panicked and began fleeing the area.

"Stop those bandits from escaping. Reizo and I will take care of the tuxedo guy." Gyanku's bow formed in his hand and he shoots two arrows through the skulls of both guards.

The man runs as fast as he can away from Reizo and yelled "We have a problem! Get over here now!"

Two figures from the end of the tunnel rushed towards Reizo at lightning speed. Light surrounded Reizo's hand and a sword appeared. The sword had a grey guard that was pointing at one of the six colors on a ring that was located at the throat of the grey scabbard.

He pulled out the metal blade and clashed with the two figures who attacked with steel claws. An arrow ricocheted off the tunnel walls and pierced through the man's ankle. The man pulled the arrow out and he had to heal himself, giving Gyanku enough time to catch up. The man was forced to fight Gyanku and formed a big gauntlet out of light around his right arm and took a swing at Gyanku.

Meanwhile, everyone else was trying to round up the bandits. I summoned a radive and flew to the entrance to seal it off with an earth wall. The bandits were completely helpless and couldn't do a thing against us. It only took a couple of minutes for us to knock out all the bandits. 

Our captains were still battling in the tunnel with the man and the two figures. The man had three arrows lodged in his left arm and two in each leg. He was panting heavily and nearly fell unconscious. Gyanku was confident that he would win and spun his bow around his hand.

"You can't beat me, so you might as well surrender before Reizo is done fighting those two." The man slowly stepped away from Gyanku. He made his gauntlet disappear and put both his hands up. Gyanku approached him to apprehend him and bring him back to the headquarters. The man kept backing away slowly until he got close enough to a hidden panel.

He quickly opened the panel and pushed a button that opened up another tunnel in the room. A giant four-legged beast that was on fire emerged from the tunnel. The monster's skin was like charcoal, and it was bigger than the arborex. The flames on its body burned so brightly that it lit up the entire base. All bandits in a five-meter radius around the monster were burned to death and the ones that were any closer were cremated on the spot.

Gyanku and Reizo turned their attention to the monster and tried to save us from it. The man formed his gauntlet again and used it to fire a beam across the tunnel's ceiling, causing the tunnel to collapse in them. "I'll bury all of you with me!" The man madly laughs as the tunnel falls on him. The tunnel was now blocked by rubble and our captains were still in there.

"We need to help Reizo!" Serith ran to the rubble and I had to pull him away to prevent him from getting eaten. "There is a giant flaming monster trying to eat us! If we don't deal with it first then we'll be turned to ash."

Serith had no choice but to help us fight the monster. Derin summoned an arborex to fight the monster. The monster turned its attention to the arborex and used its breath to engulf the arborex in flames. When the arborex disappeared, it looked disappointed.

"You're level 50 already?" Derin was surprised when Saliza asked him that. "Everyone on my team is level 50 and above. Shouldn't you guys reach level 50 by now?" He was shocked to find out that our team has barely reached level 40.

With their higher levels, they were much faster and stronger than us, but still not a match for the monster. Derin wielded a shield and flail which he used to attack the monster. His attacks were ineffective and his teammates couldn't do much damage either. They dodged the monster's fire breath and grouped.

"If it's using fire, then we'll use water!" Together they blasted the monster with a stream of water. The monster started showing signs of pain and screeched at them. It released the heat stored in its body to create a heat barrier to protect it. The stream of water that the other team was shooting evaporated upon contact with the barrier.

The base was now scorching hot and we had to get out of here. The monster circled around us as we tried to escape and blocked the entrance. It released a heatwave that was going to hit us.

"This is it, we're gonna die." The other team panicked and some of them even cried. The body of one of the guards was thrown in front of us and blocked the heatwave. Saliza and Serith grabbed the body of the other guard and threw it at the monster.

Their armor melted but their body made it through the barrier and hit the monster. Surprisingly enough, their bodies didn't turn to ash. "Quit your crying and lend us a hand would you!" Saliza scolded the other team. The monster pushed the body away and roared. I summoned a doruso to run around the monster and gain its attention. It ignored my doruso and charged at us.

It's not interested in my doruso and it didn't bother eating the guard who was much bigger than us, so does it want to kill us?

I summoned a radive and used the remaining spray on it. I had it fly around the monster and this time, it gained the monster's attention. The monster snapped at it with its jaws and swallowed it.

I ran over to Saliza and Serith to tell them what I found out. I washed myself with a water spell and went near the monster. I yelled as loud as I can at it but it didn't bother looking at me. Saliza and Serith washed themselves and threw the large maces at the monster to stop it from getting closer to the other team.

"All of you summon arborexs around that monster now if you want to live!" The other team had no idea what I was planning but they were desperate enough to do as I say.

The monster started ripping each of the arborexs apart, pulling the wood off their skin and swallowing it. We stood around the other team and sprayed them all with water until the monster finished destroying the arborexs.

"What are you doing? This is no time for pranks!" The monster was done and stared at us. Instead of attacking, the monster looked around the room and removed its barrier.

It's a fire monster that likes attacking arborexs, so I'm guessing that it likes to eat wood. I created a large stick in my hand and threw it at the monster. It ate the stick and took and nap in the middle of the base.

"What did you do?" Derin asked. "That monster only attacks arborexs and anything that smells like it. The spray we used earlier made us smell like an arborex so we had to get rid of it."

After a few minutes went by, an explosion came out of the rubble and our captains returned. Gyanku rushed to his team to see if anyone of them got injured. The monster woke up to the scent of an arborex, so Reizo washed himself and sprayed Gyanku with water. The scent was lost and the monster went back to sleep.

"So how do you guys figure out what to do?" Reizo asked. Saliza told him about how I figured out that the monster only eats arborexs and he nodded in approval. 

"Good work. They were planning to use that monster to kill the bandits if they needed to. This monster is called a fernon, it's an A rank monster. They're mostly harmless towards humans but they will attack arborexs to eat their wood armor which increases their life span. This usually leads to them chasing their prey into a forest and setting it on fire."

Reizo checks the tunnel that the fernon came out of. There was a large circular device in the room that doesn't seem to be active. "Tech this advance could only come from two of the countries in the world." he thought to himself.

Gyanku was looking at his wallet that he retrieved from the bandit. "Oh thank goodness, my lucky casino chip didn't break."
Reizo walked out of the room and discussed with Gyanku what he found.

"I found the body of that man crushed but those two that I was fighting probably escaped. It's possible that they'll use that tech to come back here."

Eventually, they decided to let Meitre plan their next action. We left the base where a fernon now sleeps above the ashes of the bandits. We flew back to the headquarters and the captains reported their findings to Meitre.

Later, the other two teams arrived. Oraten was comforting a distraught Testra. Their recruits were battered and bruised, some even had to carry unconscious teammates back to the headquarters.

"What happened?" Gyanku rushed over and she hugged him as she explained everything.

"We snuck into the base and hid among the bandits until a well-dressed man came in and noticed us. He pressed a button and we got attacked by a giant man with a big sword and a boy with a dagger. The boy used illusions to separate me and Oraten away from our recruits. His illusions prevented us from helping our recruits until I was able to get a good hit on him.

We went to rescue our recruits but we were too late, they were laying on the floor defeated. He grabbed one of my recruits and slit her throat in front of me while laughing. Before I could kill him, the boy came back and used his illusions to escape with that man."

Everyone who was well aware of how powerful Testra is understood how serious this is. It's no easy feat to stall someone like Testra.

Haler just so happened to walk by and saw Testra crying. He came over to comfort her while Reizo downed a bottle of alcohol. Everyone glared at Reizo as he emptied the bottle. "What? I've been sober for a couple of days now and I want a drink."

All the captains except Reizo continued to comfort Testra and bring her to her room. Meitre called for Reizo to have him further look into the case and not get drunk.

He groaned and signaled for us to come to him. "Now that you've completed your first mission, you can go to the receptionist and claim your cash." He walks off to go talk with Meitre.

The money that we earned wasn't that much since it was just an investigation mission, even though I had to fend off an A rank monster at my level, but it's more than enough to pay for the book I broke.

With its huge white body, a monster is coming towards us with it ferocious eyes staring at us intensely.
Looking at it, I notice that it has a 5 meter tall body and a large frame. On the back of it, you can see an armor in gray color covering it back making it look strong adding it large frame. Just looking at it already made my heart tighten as I immediately recognize what monster this is.

Armored Back Great Bear. A monster living in cold places. This monster look like a polar bear adding just an armor and a huge size. What scary about this monster is that it already reach the peak of 4 star level. Adding to a monster innate strength, it power must be at the level of 5 star.

Anna and I just stands there when the monster coming towards us. It's not like we don't want to move but we can't. Our back is facing the cave wall while the monster is coming at our front. Without proper planning, recklessly moving is too dangerous for us right now.

"Hey, I'll distract it while you run away okay. Here, take this herb together with you."

"No! It dangerous to split at this time. The monster target is this herb. So, if one of us take it away then it will definitely target that person. Plus, do you think that we have a chance to split up right now?" I reject Anna idea immediately since I think that it is impossible.

"Then what should we do now? Are you suggesting that we wait for our death here?" Unconvinced with me, Anna let out her voice at me.

I know our time is precious but there is nothing I can do now other than waiting for a chance to escape.

This few seconds feels like a long time for both of us. We just stand there watching the monster coming at us step by step. At last, when the monster is just 100m away from us, the chance we're waiting for finally come.

"Run!" At the same we heard Sarah voice from outside, a magic spell hit the monster. It was light chain, a light element spell. This spell binds the monster which gives us an opening to run away.

At the same time, Anna quickly held me under her arm and summon a flame wing spell. When a wing of flames appear behind her back, she quickly levitate and glide away from inside the cave until we came out with a fast speed.

Anna and I just barely regrouped with Sarah and Thomas when suddenly we heard a bear roar coming from inside the cave.

"William you stay there!" Anna drop me down a stand in front of me. From her stance, she look like she want to fight against the monster. 

"Anna don't be reckless, a mature Armored Back Great Bear is a 4 star monster. You can't win."

"Heh, you're underestimating me. Inside that cave, I may be disadvantaged. But here in open space, we don't know who is strong who is weak." After saying that, Anna release her full power and revealed her true strength.

3 star. I can't believe that she already a 3 star mage at our stage. Even in our school, the highest level of mage existed in our student is peak of 1 star. It really blow my mind as she manage to hide her true ability from everybody. I guess, if she didn't encounter this incident, she might really hide her ability until graduation.

At the same time, Anna take out her weapon which is a short red spear. This spear is a magic artifact which function as both mage wand and a weapon. Looking at it grade, I guess it might be a 4 star artifact. Really, Anna went all out this time.

A few moments later, we heard a sounds of a beast storming towards us. "Incoming!" Anna charge at the monster while carrying her weapon. Because of her low level, the fire wing spell she use only able to levitate her few cm from the ground. But on the bright side, the spell increase her speed which in turn increasing her prowess in the battle.

I watch the fight intensely as this is the first mage fight that I can watch in such a close distance. Even though there is a video of mage fight in the web, watching it closer feels so different than watching online.

Anna fight bravely against the monster. Every moves she did, every spell she conjure, everything comes together seamlessly as if it was something ordinary. Looking at her, it make me realize just how lucky I'm to be able to win against her last time.

"I hate to broke your fun time but it seem like we have company." As I was looking at the fight, Thomas suddenly said something that bring nervous to everyone.

As I turn around, I can see what Thomas mean and it really is bad. There, another Armored Back Great Bear appear and it doesn't seem to look good for us.

Chapter 161: 魔女の双子・双子の魔女
 
The monster in front of us is a wolf type monster its Origin is a FOREST WOLF with a Threat Rank of C with a recorded name of RAVENOUS FOREST WOLF. 
 
"How did this monster evade Master's 'Perception Skills'?" irritation was clearly evident in our voice. 
 
With our MANA and KI Perception albeit low in level and proficiency, we should have still been able to notice its arrival, after all it is oozing with strong KI and yet it complete eluded our perception skill. Its KI did not even register up until this man blew on that whistle.
 
"Now that you mention it…" looking at the man, he does not seem to have registered in our MANA and KI perception. It is as if he does not exist. Maybe it has something to do with the cloak he is wearing.
 
Well enough about the guy who is just standing there and decided to focus with the battle against his pet.
 
The wolf is pretty agile, jumping from one area to another, thankfully the gallery had dispersed the moment this monster showed up and so it had focused its attention only to us. Mama and Papa is inside the building, we could see them on the second floor window looking grim and worried.
 
"Ran/Lan we need to get this over with!"
 
"Ah! Let's go Lan/Ran!"
 
The monster was not so much of a push over, he maybe fast but he was not as fast as Master. We were able to quickly either parry or evade its attacks. And finally we landed our first blow.
 
"Good work Ran!" he managed to land a good hit on the monster's left eye. it should render it unusable for this battle.
 
"Good work Lan" She managed to strike two slashes on the monster's abdomen. That should greatly reduce its stamina.
 
We were able to give it critical hits it should have depleted a number of its LIFE FORCE, we could win if we can survive the battle of attrition as we have trained. But…
 
*GROWLLLL!!!
 
The loud and angry howl put both of us on our knees. We also feel a bit disoriented. Then a pain...
 
"Lan! Ran" although distorted we could hear Mama and Papa calling our names, looking a bit closer to the house, we could see them running towards us. Why are they coming out? Oh, I see we are bleeding, must have been when the monster pounced at us.
 
'No!" it's dangerous to come out, we tried to call out to Mama and Papa, but no voice comes out from our mouth.
 
Why did master leave us to fend off this guy? Did he know that there was a strong monster here and left it for us to handle? Did he really think that some mere level 5 and 3 kids could handle a monster which would take a party of Iron Rank Hunters? Did he have that much confidence in us?
 
Those questions kept repeating in our head. But it feels so surreal, like I can feel my sister/brother's thoughts… who exactly is speaking right now…
 
As blood oozed out from where the monster had attack us, the surreal feeling we have been sensing since our adrenaline rushed when the monster appeared kept on becoming stranger. 
 
First the heat in our bodies was becoming intense as if both our heat doubled, then Ran's MANA run through Lan and Lan's KI rushed through Ran. This strange cycle partially healed our visible wounds allowing us to escape fatal wounds. 
 
"Ran/Lan, ready yourself for round two."
 
"Lan/Ran, yeah let's go!"
 
Constantly switching from this strange cycle, it had confused the monster who is who and which is which allowing us to give more punishment to its body, but no matter how hard we slash or pound, the monster just won't go down.
 
The battle of attrition instantly became disadvantageous for us, and we were losing stamina fast, even if the Cycle of MANA and KI surge in our bodies heals our physical wounds it could not replenish our depleting stamina.
 
We were losing and one that could end in our deaths…
 
"Master!"

A lone male is sent to another world. 

Was he summoned as a hero or a villain he did not know.

Cleo’s P.O.V. 

I lead Nyx away enough for the two werewolves to hear what I’m gonna tell him and no one can hear it, just the two of us. 

“What is it?” Nyx asked impatiently, I shook my head remembering that he almost has the same temperament as me. 

“Natalie planned this with me and Adam, we had agreed about it all we need is yours” 

“What is the plan about?” 

“You’ll go to the Demon Realm and stay there for two days to see if Lolita showed up or showed some clues and as I say after two days will be back here and say everything we knew” 

“And then what?” 

“We need to stay low but it doesn’t require to yours as you’ll be in your home but we will stay low” 

“I can agree to it but how can I be sure you’ll also do this?” 

“Lolita, Lolita is enough reason for this” 

“Okay I’ll agree just because I need to bring my sister back” 

“So it is settled” He nod but before he could even leave I said something “I had a deal with Adam about the information about his parent’s killer, I already knew something would happen so I need to ask a favor for you to do” 

“What is it? How did you know?” 

 

“It doesn’t matter how but in case something happened gave this to him, and for him, he knew something to help Lolita to be off the curse” 

"He knows?" I nod before giving him a bottle containing green smoke. 

"Give this to him if you think he needs it but if not keep it until that time happens" He nods and after that we decide to head where Adam and Luca was and it seems they're also done talking. 

"Let's head back and talk with Natalie to have this plan be done" Adam said, when we were going back to the palace I felt someone was following me then I heard a voice. 

'Cleo' The voice was familiar but I chose to keep walking not to alarm the others. 

'Cleo it hurts please help me' Then it slipped inside my mind, Lolita, it was her voice. 

But like a while ago I continue walking pushing the voice away but it keeps getting louder. It made me frustrated as it was her voice but I know it was just an illusion. 

"You're hearing it too, do you?" Nyx suddenly whispers to me but I know the other two can hear it. 

"You're hearing Lolita too?" I whisper back but he shakes his head. 

"It wasn't her but it was someone very important to me as to how much Lolita means to you" We suddenly stopped as we heard howling. 

"A wolf warned us about a monster circling around us" Luca whispers to the three of us, Alpha thing I think. 

"You heard something before this?" Nyx asked and the two nods. Seems like it wasn't just the two of us. 

"It's playing with us, using someone important to us against us" As I said they just nod on guard and ready to fight back just in case. 

We were standing on each side, facing different directions, we kept quiet then I remembered what Lolita told me before. 

~~~~~~~~~~ Flashback ~~~~~~~~~~ 

"You know Cleo, I saw a monster on the way back here" Lolita said as she sat down beside me. 

"Are you alright? That monster didn't hurt you right?" I asked as I looked around her to see if she had a wound. 

"Of course not, it's me Cleo, that monster won't even come near me" She wrapped her arms around my waist before leaning her head on my chest. 

"How can you be sure of that?" I asked sitting comfortably so Lolita will be comfortable leaning her head on my chest. 

"That monster is dumb while I'm smart" She looked at me slightly lifting her head and show me a wide grin making me chuckled. 

"A smart and sly demon, isn't?" She just nods and smiles and places her head again where it was seconds ago. 

"That monster won't attack a human as I've seen it twice and it won't even pay attention to the humans whose present there, that monster only have bloody eyes towards the non-human creature, and to be a human you need to be powerless and start breathing" 

"Wouldn't the monster feel it when you're a human or not?" 

"It has a poor eyesight can't differentiate colors, it only has ears to listen to breathing and nose to smell if you have powers and that monster can also cause illusions but I don't know what is it's basis because it uses you on me but like I said I'm starting" 

"How did you know almost everything about it, don't tell me you" I looked at her and she just giggled. 

"I might have tried playing with it the second time" I couldn't help but glare at her but then sigh. 

"Stupid, don't you dare pull that game of yours you heard me" 

"I do, stop worrying, I was just annoyed because my hunt fails but now I'm okay I already have fun with that monster" 

~~~~~~~~~~ End of Flashback ~~~~~~~~~~ 

"Pretend to breathe and hide your powers faster" I hastily but carefully whisper it to them. 

"What?" Adam asked. 

"Just do it" When I felt all of us already did a monster appears in front of us but like as I remember Lolita said it won't attack humans, it was true. 

It just passed to us mumbling under its breath that it was hard to understand but even if we had our powers hidden we can still hear everything clearly. 

"They disappear" 

"Because you're too slow" 

"Where did they go" 

"How would I know" 

"I lose four meal at the same time" 

"Then it's your fault" 

It keeps talking back and forth like there are two monsters inside as it also keeps walking around without even looking at us but we're still on guard. 

"How would we kill that monster?" Luca asked but I remained silent thinking if Lolita had told me something about it. 

"Remember the way to kill it is to have its eyes even it's not useful but yeah it's the way to kill it" 

"Remove it eyes" As I said they look at me confused. 

"How? We can't even use our powers" Adam shouldn't have said that because the monster snapped it's head in our direction with a vicious smile before dashing to us, I avoided it jumping in another direction when I heard someone curse. 

"Sh*t" I don't know who was it until I saw someone getting thrown on the tree and there is where the mess starts. 

We keep on attacking using every chance to steal it's eyes but no one succeeds even a bit. We got thrown meters away, dropped down on the ground, jumping in the air, and coughing just a small amount of blood. 

"I'll frost this monster your three remove it's eyes" I started using my ice magic while combining it with my other powers which can make steel. 

They move faster and faster to distract the monster so it won't make a move that can ruin what I'm gonna do, they have successfully distracted the monster that I was able to frost it's lower body but that was it as the monster sense what is happening and start making a counter-attack to stop me from completely freezing the monster. 

"Nyx a little help here" I said as I noticed that the monster wasn't paying attention to the others anymore and just looking directly at me. As I made eye contact with it something flashes, a memory but then I heard a voice. 

"Cleo don't ever look at it's eyes, I don't wanna lose you" It was Lolita's voice and it also made me snap out of the control of the monster and when I look Nyx is already struggling as I think when I was drawn onto that because of the monster I stop using my powers. 

"Don't look directly in its eyes, it will control you" I said loudly for all of them to hear and they just nodded. 

I continue using my powers but this time more focused and keeping my eyes away from the monster. When I and Nyx successfully freeze the monster only leaving the eyes so they could steal it and also made it drop down on the ground 

"Remove it now” Both Adam and Luca move closer to the monster and then they have pierced it’s eyes out of it’s socket and the monster starts to slowly become a cloud of dust and it disappears leaving no trail except a few dusts and the ice that once wrapped around it’s body. 

“How did you know how to handle that monster?” Nyx asked me and the other two looked at me, cleaning their hands that were covered in blood because of piercing a monster’s eyes. 

“Lolita told me before that she encountered that kind of monster twice” They nodded but Nyx asked again. 

“Then how did she know how?” I just grin at him. 

“You know your sister is kind of playful, so kind of playing with that monster” Nyx just sighs as I answer. 

“We should head back now before we encounter more monsters” Luca said as he dusts off some dirt, being a werewolf isn’t fun I guess. We walked back to the palace and when we did some wolf asked Luca, their alpha about what happened in the forest but Luca reassured them that it was fine and it’s already fixed. 

“I guess everyone knows already” Natalie said as she saw us “We’ll depart when the moon is it’s peak, wash up you all stink of blood” When everyone starts to leave and the only one who's with me is Adam. 

“Remember our deal Adam, I don’t like someone lying to me more of Lolita is involved in this” 

“So am I, it’s about my parent’s death so you better be telling the truth about knowing what happened” 

“So it’s settled, You're stationed in Angel’s Realm right?” 

“Why? Got something?” 

“Nothing just be on guard there and also tell that angel to never go near Lolita again” He just nodded before leaving me. 

“He doesn’t know he's getting near to what he wants to know”

Many believe in reincarnation but not everyone, why? Because it’s unbelievable how would a person be reborn again but with a different body but in his belief, it has to be true, but will it be true or it was just a pure illusion?
