200 years ago man created the greatest AI known but this Machine eventually grew a mind of its own and evetually it's own body, it rose up with others like it against the human race this battle went on for about 20 years and nature and most resources were dieing off cause of the continuing battles but the final battle it released a large blast but is wasn't a bomb it was something else entirely, the machines had something hidden down their main base, something that wasn't human or machine something not of this earth, the blast brought back nature it changed it along with the humans and Machines closes to the blast.....both of them went a evolution of some sorts and because of this both sides where able to form a peace ending the war

My name is Ambiguity, I'm basically saying that you don't need to know my name.  I'll give you a few hints though, for one thing i'm always watching, for another I'm always judging, and lastly I'm controlling. So, have you thought of a name? If you haven't then just call me Ambiguity and let me tell you a story about The Several Definitions of The Human Condition.

Number One: Personality, background, feelings, crimes, actions, regret, violence, hate, love, passion, everything here is just the tip of the iceberg. You see humans have what we call, "intelligence," and this intelligence is what made us, The Conditioners, well I'm the exception, I'm Ambiguity. I should stop prolonging this definition and just tell you outright, as stated in the Conditioners Conditions: "The Human Condition is the subjects mentality and personal state, they are subjective and judgmental." Ouch, the worst qualities of a human have been recorded sorry to say, aliens might not ever want to visit one day.

Number Two: Condition this and condition that, this gets me to the second condition, "The Human Condition is a set of repetitiveness to do the same thing over and over again without thinking or feigning ignorance of prior past." As you're reading this you might be thinking to yourself, "I wouldn't call these definitions, The Human Condition can't be summarized like this." And you'd be right. The title is rather broad, the definitions is like puddle in comparison, but what can I say, we're human.

Number Three: You've heard it in movies! You've heard it in books! You've heard it in anime! Welcome to the selfish lane avenue, the magnet to all your hatred when in actuality it should be directed to other more vile things like, people, other people, and even more people! Yes, there are a lot of people that deserve more hate. "The Human Condition is the consciousness of one and only thinks of one, meaning they think for their benefit. Another term to recognize would be deluded but is relatively different."

Quite a haul there don't we? I'm pretty sure there are more though, but anyways you probably wanted me to tell a story right? It'll be a story with a lot of humans so be wary, that's why I gave you some raw samples to give you a gist. As you can tell I said raw, as expected, it doesn't taste well does it? Well I'm not much of a writer, but I'll try my best in being the narrator. And the conditions will fill themselves along the way.

Everyone is on there cell, do they pay attention towards each other? They do, so saying things like, "being on your phone all the time is bad," or something similar is just, well it isn't wrong, but it's certainly not right either. People are crossing streets, people are protesting, people are judging, it's a normal day. Among those people is someone invisible, no-background, no identity, complete Ambiguity. I could tell you how he looks like, but his description seems to be lost since no-one has ever seen him, alive that is, that's beside the point. I'll tell you a few things though, a black hoodie, jeans, and one of those medical masks that covered his face, got an image now? I had a mission that day, I was requested to help some Conditioners finish a job, of course I could have denied, but I wanted to see the newcomers.
"Hello." I said. The group was comprised of people with different origins, ethnicity, and age. On one side you had fifteen-year old kids and at the other was a thirty-year old man. It makes sense to have a guardian, but what is the point of having an adult with you if they are just as clueless as you? Well, I expected this when I first said, "yea i'll do it."
"Oh, hello, nice to meet you, sir…?" The thirty-year old neck-beard said.
"Just call me your supervisor, since I'm here to oversee your mission for today."
"Uh, supervisor, is it a good idea to bring kids around?"
"Well for one thing, they would be less conspicuous than you. People only expect kids to be angsty teenagers so being a teenager in itself is a subtle disguise."
"You're one to talk about being conspicuous, with that whole outfit."
"I'll have you fired."
"Sorry sir."

They had a mission that day and it was a rather simple one. There was a politician running around loose, persuading the masses into believing something that they really shouldn't. The plan was simple (keep in mind, I didn't devise this plan they did, I simply watched) have the kids be, like always, a disruption, the adult will then have a "talk" with the politician.

I watched as the crowds were getting frustrated over a bunch of teens and then I watched the politician get dragged off the scene. The guards fell asleep, possibly forever, and the neck-beard gave the politician a beard that was colored in blood. Ha, get it because he is a neck-beard and… oh, never mind.
"You couldn't have done it more cleanly? Well doesn't matter anyway, you rookies finished the job."
"To be frank supervisor, I don't think there is anything 'clean' about this job."
"Yeah, I know, but we have to do it anyway, because of the definitions."
"Do you think humans are evil? You've been doing this for a long time haven't you?" They pulled away from the scene by blending in with the crowd.
"Evil? No, we're neither."
"Than what side are we?"
"The human side."
The entire group met back at an office building, the kids were sent home, of course they were given a strict lecture before they went, or should I say manipulated into a way of thinking. We do some nasty things to keep the so-called balance in check, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Like they always say, "an eye for an eye makes the world go blind," is what we're trying to prevent, but it's pretty ironic if I think about. I went back to my apartment to get some sleep. It was an isolated area that barely anyone ever went to, perfect for someone like me...

I remember that one time when I was a child I saw something of the world I wasn't supposed to see yet and that's probably why I matured the fastest among all the children my age. That's probably why I seclude myself from everything else, and the reason why I joined this balancing act.

The politician that was killed that day struck the news like a storm, "an activist for the rights and liberty was assassinated!" Well the government that he was fighting for just killed him so he did this to himself. If only he kept himself in place, we wouldn't have done anything. The definition he was killed for would be selfishness. An activist, no, more like a hungry pig that sought to expand his reign, wealth, and power, and of course the government doesn't take highly to people that want a monopoly. Someone had tried to in the past and guess what? They died and the country fell into a huge amount of debt. Your selfishness can surely help you, but don't let it take control or else we'll come after you.

I woke up and stared at the popcorn ceiling, My mind drifted off into another world, sadly it wasn't a fantasy with cute girls, no more like a world colored in gray. Everyone was the same, everyone acted the same, they robotically moved their legs and waved their arms, they signed papers and taught in schools, they worked on roads and drove around too, it was the usual life and repetitive life of humans. You won't get detained for this definition sometimes, but it sure is annoying and boring. Sadly this world was how I visualized reality, a bucket of hard-work, and sweat which meant nothing. Your lost time? It's probably in a trash bin somewhere.

The day after the politician died was nothing more than annoying, the commerce were upset, even more activists were upset, it's like a tiny civil war had broken out. "An eye for an eye," huh? Like I said it's pretty ironic, but let me tell you something, there was this book I read a long, long time ago, a rather good book that was butchered by teachers by providing so much homework for, had a theme about words. It was enlightening, no it wasn't enlightening, why did I say enlightening, it was interesting, pretty boring choice of words, but hold on for a second, grab the remote, turn on that television, or go online.
"Fraud and Corruption: Politician Uncovered," or maybe that other one over there, "Former Politician's Documents Reveal True Intentions," or what-not. Views change and guess what so did everyone, no-one and I mean absolutely no-one gave two shits about this person anymore, it's almost laughable. Everything was alright in the end, thanks to the Conditioners, thanks to our manipulation, thanks to everyone behind the scenes, we can control all your judgments and subjective views with just a few words. 

That day was actually more peaceful than all my other days now that I think about it, I got no calls, and the tea I had that day was rather refreshing. I stayed for about an hour in a cafe, many people came and went. I sipped the last sip, gave a tip, and then I dipped. "Guess I could walk around for a bit." And that's what I did.

Deep within the society there exists the subconscious of the human world, it heavily influences everything from the background and no one seems to know it. They deal with many people, many, many people, doesn't matter if they are philanthropists, the kindest of the kind, or demons that ravish themselves in selfish delight. They deal with the mind, or as many know in this world, The Human Condition.

"En. It's a small French perfumery called Sang Bleu[1]," Jin Liwei confirmed.
Iris alternated looking at him and at the purchase of business agreement in her hands. The documents were written in three languages: Chinese, French and English. The pile was certainly thicker than the documents she received for Gold Heights last Christimas.
She didn't know exactly what to feel at the moment. Why did the man keep on buying companies for her? At this rate, she would end up owning all of the companies in the world if he kept on buying and gifting them to her on every single special occasion.
"Darling, why?" she asked, feeling exasperated. At the same time, she also found him adorable.
He reminded her of their cats. Both Ice Cream and Popcorn loved bringing them goodies as a display of their affection. The goodies included their toys, Dom's newly laundered socks (they couldn't handle the used ones, Popcorn once puked after smelling them), and some small dead animals like grasshoppers and birds.
Jin Liwei was like the cats in the sense that he frequently gave her goodies as well. It was just that his definition of goodies were extravagant surprises and companies.
"You don't like it?" he asked after realizing that she didn't look excited about his present.
He looked a little hurt when he didn't get the reaction he expected. However, he quickly covered it up behind an impassive expression. His lips pressed into thin line. Then he grabbed the documents from her and marched away.
"What are you doing?!" Iris was horrified when she saw him toss the documents into the trash can. She ran and picked up the documents from the trash. "Darling, how could you?!"
"You don't want it, then it's useless. It belongs to the trash now," he said in a cold voice. "Throw it away."
Her chest hurt hearing the coldness in his tone. She immediately felt sorry for not reacting enthusiastically at his present for her. However, she didn't want to lie to him and give him a fake reaction. And even if she were to do that, he would probably detect that she was just pretending anyway.
"No, this is your anniversary present for me. I'm not going to throw it away," she said.
"Throw it. I'll get you another present," he replied. His voice was still cold.
She didn't like this cold Jin Liwei, especially now that it was directed at her. Her eyes watered without her control, feeling guilty and hurt at the same time. But bubbling beneath these emotions was anger.
How dare he act cold to her? There was a strong urge to lash out at him, but she quickly controlled it. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm herself.
"Let's go to sleep now. It's late," she heard him say.
When she opened her eyes, he was already walking away. Her chest tightened, as she watched him disappear into their bedroom without waiting for her.
Huh? Were they fighting? Was this really happening during their anniversary? No!
A sense of panic flooded her. Without thinking, she immediately ran after him. She didn't see him when she arrived at the bedroom. Her panic intensified. Hearing some noise from the bathroom, she tossed the documents on the bed and headed there. She found him removing his belt in front of the sink. He was already shirtless.
She was momentarily distracted by his naked torso. His wide shoulders, muscled chest and hard abs…she almost drooled. She shook her head out of her daze, trying not to think too much of his deliciousness. This wasn't the right moment!
He only gave her a glance before ignoring her. Then he proceeded to brush his teeth, acting as if she wasn't even there.
"Darling?" she called in a small voice.
However, he didn't reply. He continued brushing his teeth.
"Don't be mad anymore. Okay?"
No answer.
"Darling, I'm sorry."
Still no answer. The anger burst forth from within her.
"Jin Liwei, why are you ignoring me?! You're being so childish! Answer me!" she shouted in frustration.
When he still didn't respond, her eyes filled up with tears. She was feeling sorry, hurt and angry all at the same time. This combination of emotions didn't feel good at all. She roughly wiped her eyes with her hands, not wanting to cry, but the frustration was starting to get the best of her.
Yes, she acknowledged that it was her fault for not appreciating his present for her. She now realized that she hurt his feelings. She felt sorry, but did he have to react so strongly and coldly like this? Although she wanted to blame him too, she didn't want them to fight, especially since it was their anniversary today.
She walked behind him and hugged him by the waist. Her chest pressed against his back. He froze a little but otherwise continued ignoring her while rinsing his mouth. It frustrated her even further. Reining in her temper, she forced herself to calm down.
"Darling… I'm sorry. Please don't be mad anymore. Let's not fight, okay?"
When he continued to ignore her, she couldn't hold it in anymore. She quietly burst into tears behind him. She pressed her face against his back to prevent herself from sobbing aloud.
Jin Liwei stiffened when he felt something wet on his back. His heart jumped in dread.
"Love?" he called out to her.
He became alarmed when he felt her tremble. His back became increasingly wet. His heart sank.
"Are you crying?" he asked and tried to turn to look at her. However, her hands tightened around his waist, preventing him from doing so.
When he heard soft whimpers behind him, he used his strength to forcefully untangle her hands from around his waist and turned to look at her. Then he finally saw her weeping face.
Torrents of tears flowed down her eyes. Her cheeks were completely wet. Huge drops of tears dripped down on her dress and to the floor. She was biting her lips so hard that they began to bleed, just because she didn't want to cry loudly.
Fuck. I messed up, was all he could think about.
He immediately pulled her into his embrace.
"No, no. Please don't cry. Love, my baby girl. Please, no. I'm so sorry. It's my fault. Everything is my fault."
All of these words tumbled out of his lips in a panic. He leaned back from the embrace to look at her. Her face was completely wet and her lips were bleeding. He grabbed a towel from the rack and wiped the blood first before using the other parts of the towel to wipe her tears.
"I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean it. Don't cry anymore, please."
She opened her mouth to say something but couldn't because of the intensity of her weeping.
He pulled her again into his embrace. He kissed her head and rubbed her back to soothe her while murmuring apologies to her.
Then she finally broke her silence and started wailing against his chest. Hurt and anger poured from her loud cries, echoing throughout the entire bathroom. The sound tore painfully at his heart.
"Jin Liwei! Y-you're an…a-asshole!"
"Yes, yes. I'm an asshole. I'm sorry."
She cried harder. "W-why am I in l-love with…with an asshole?!"
He could only tighten his embrace around her.
"Today is our…anniversary, you j-jerk! Why are we fighting?!" She tried pushing him away but he didn't let her go. She wanted to stop her pathetic crying but couldn't. It was as if a dam broke inside her and started gushing without her control. "We're fighting because of a damn company? Huh, Jin Liwei? Y-you're going…to f-fight me because of a fucking company?!"
His heart twisted hearing her words. The fact that she was cursing when she usually didn't was already an indication of how upset she felt. With every heartbreaking cry she released, his heart felt like it was tearing into pieces.
He was completely regretting his immature behaviour earlier. He was hurt by her unenthusiastic reaction. He didn't feel appreciated when he made all the effort of making her happy. He allowed the hurt to cloud his maturity.
Looking directly at her eyes, he told her, "No, we're not going to fight because of a company. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking clearly. Forgive me. I love you so much."
Iris cried harder after hearing him say he loved her. "I love you too, y-you asshole!"
A faint smile lightened his remorseful expression. He continued embracing her, as she continued to sob all over his naked chest.
She cried for a long time, releasing all of her frustrations in one go. Her sobs gradually became whimpers until she completely stopped crying. When she finished, she felt utterly exhausted.
Jin Liwei lifted her chin. Her eyes, nose and lips were now red and swollen. But to him, she still looked the most beautiful. He dipped his head and gently kissed the side of her swollen lips, avoiding the part she bit so he wouldn't hurt her.
"Forgive me?" he asked.
She nodded.
He instantly felt relieved.
"Forgive me too?" she asked next.
"Of course, love."
Finally, she started to smile a little. It was like bright sunshine peeking through stormy clouds. She playfully punched him on the chest.
"Happy anniversary, asshole." 
He chuckled softly. "En. Happy anniversary, love."

He regained consciousness in an unknown location. His room was bright. This was the reason he immediately knew he was not in his room, and most likely not even on Earth. His room would typically be filled with a disproportionate amount of darkness. Although it was bright, it wasn't painful on his visuals. In fact, it was quite pleasant. The warm lighting gently raised him from his slumber. He opened his eyes to observe his surroundings. The ceiling was white popcorn. He sat up with the aid of one arm and looked straight forward. The walls were shiplap with planks of alternating color. Dark, then light, then dark again. Although it looked fancy, he knew the room must've been a cheap one. He knew this because of multiple reasons. One. In the midst of the sunlight, a copious amount of dust floated freely. Two. He could hear commotion from outside the walls, which meant they were thin. Three. The shiplap was made with a cheap-looking wood. It was most likely flimsy as well, given how much sound was passing through. And four. The contents of the conversations outside.

"You dropped out of EI Multiversity? No wonder you ended up sleeping in this place."

"Yeah, I'm going to try to sell some stuff and try to get the hell off this planet. There's nothing left for me to learn here."

"As expected..."

That was all the information he needed for now.

*EI Multiversity? Planet?*

With the name of a school that didn't exist and the quality of travel that even relatively poor people could experience, he confirmed not only was he not on Earth, but in a more technologically advanced society as well.

*New world, same me. No time to lose.*

He was fairly certain that his current societal and economic situation were not great at the moment. So the first thing to do was obvious. Step one. Get out of the rut. He didn't know what kind of economy waited for him outside, but he was confident enough in his intelligence to climb up out of the darkness.

*Since they have schools here, there's probably at least some sort of merit-based system. Getting money won't be a problem.*

With that, he climbed out of bed to head for the bathroom. Each one of his steps was deliberate. He knew he was in a bad situation, yet he still exuded confidence.

He approached and pulled open the wooden door that had sat ajar and walked inside. He closed the door behind him. The instant the door clicked shut, he sensed something strange. It was a sensation he had never felt before on Earth. He didn't know how to describe it, but he felt like he had severed all connections with the outside world. He observed the bathroom. It looked surprisingly ordinary. There were no windows, so it was a bit dark with the lights off. There was an ordinary light switch on the wall. The noble gas light on the ceiling flickered to life. He was impressed at the color the light burned. It was lavender blue, but nearly clear. 

*A xenon light, huh?*

Despite this unusual light, the tiles and mortar along the walls and floor looked identical to those on Earth. There was a porcelain toilet and a laminated clay bathtub with a brass shower head. There were two fresh white towels on the rack on the wall. This was also when he noticed a handwritten letter on the wooden counter near the brass sink. He ignored the strange sensation of isolation for the time being and focused on the letter. It was folded neatly in thirds. The outside cover read,

"For you, our last hope."

He thought nothing of the plea. He lived for only himself. He wasn't going to be someone's hero. Time used on others was time lost to improve himself. Yet he unfolded the paper and continued to read regardless. It was the first text he had seen today, and it was possibly a source of information.

"You may have noticed the anti-divination in this room. No one can track you here. Remember this sensation and master it. For you must survive. And win. For the Nines. -Isaac."

*The Nines? Who are they? ...Who am I?*

At that moment, he came to know something crucial. He had lost most of his memories.

*I'm their last hope, so apparently I'm a member of the Nines.*

He didn't remember his name. He didn't even remember most things. But the word "win" triggered the only memory he probably had. It was the name and face of a pale skinned boy his age with dark hair and green eyes.

*If there's someone I need to win against, there's only one person who could even be a challenge.*

Even though he was in a new world with no memories, it seemed like his objective hadn't changed in the slightest.

But he still needed a name. Without an identifier in society, it became very easy to get lost in the crowd.

He didn't remember his old name, but that didn't really matter. He had hardly changed despite the world being so different, and that's what really mattered.

Iota. The ninth letter of the Greek alphabet, and also the smallest. A word that shared its definition with its relative size in the alphabet. Wasn't that ridiculous? But even with newfound information about being an alleged member of the nines, losing most of his memories, and crossing into a completely different world, he merely underwent...

This is an isekai written by me. Inspired by a wide variety of isekai stories.

Why did I decide to write this?
First of all, I'm just an ordinary person. Before writing this, I had no experience in creative writing at all. I am also an isekai fanatic. I have read and/or watched a multitude of isekais, and some of them are bad. Like, really bad (see Conception and Master of Ragnarok)... I knew for a fact that I could write a better story than those. If those could get animes, why not try to write my own? I also wanted to create a world that the reader can explore. This concept is heavily inspired by Overlord, my favorite series of all time. Although the quality is nowhere near as good, I wanted to create an experience similar to that of reading Overlord for the first time and picking apart the world. I hope I am doing a decent job.

"His highness manage to make that creature scream in pain!" Mian Xiang spoke happily on behalf of Long Ao Zhen. In her eyes, Long Ao Zhen looked so cool and majestic! 
When Li Shi Ying heard that, she almost choked on the popcorn she was eating while watching the showdown. 
Pain? What the?! 
Li Shi Ying didn't dare to tell anyone that Nessie didn't feel pain at all. On the contrary, he was too distracted to actually fought well, thus leading to Long Ao Zhen managed to scratch his tail a bit.
Mian Xiang cheers again when Long Ao Zhen made Nessie's tail bleed a little. She was sure that Long Ao Zhen would win even without turning into his dragon form! 
"That idiot…" Li Shi Ying rolled her eyes. For Long Ao Zhen to injure Nessie's tail that was actually a bad decision because now...Nessie was enraged for real.
[Ahh! My tail! My beautiful tail I spend so much time on for massage and skin serum!] Nessie shrieked like a maiden losing her favourite gown or something. The black dragon then glared at Long Ao Zhen and the next second, he used magic to attack the man.

This time Long Ao Zhen was really terrified. The magic Nessie used was wind magic. It's so strong that Long Ao Zhen was thrown straight from the air to the sand! 
BOOM! 
The man's body sunk deep to the sand while Nessie humphed angrily. It snorted another hot breath before preparing to do another attack! 
"His highness!" Mian Xiang was so shocked when she felt Long Ao Zhen's condition through the sand. She was glad that the man didn't get injured at all since the sand wasn't hard yet for Long Ao Zhen to be thrown away by wind magic…
Just how strong Nessie power is?! 
"We are fortunate that Nessie doesn't have special magic power. He's only an Elementalist" Li Shi Ying shook her head praying for Long Ao Zhen's safety. That man should just turn into a dragon real quick.
Nessie was getting serious! Even though Nessie didn't have a special magic ability like controlling gravity or any other weird ability, he was still a good Elementalist. People in the magic world usually can only use 1 elemental magic.
Of course, there's a magical world where people could use ALL kind of elemental magic thus the definition of strong there was based on how much mana they had and not how much elemental magic they possessed. 
But Nessie came from a world where normal people could only have 1 elemental magic.
Those who have more than 1, as well as those who have a special ability, was usually regarded as someone STRONG. Dragons, in particular, could use more than 2 elemental magic yet Nessie said only he could use all elemental magic.

 Hindi na sila lumapit pa. Naupo na lang sila sa pinakalikurang bahagi ng sinehan. Wala naman silang katabi at malayo na 'yong iba. Hindi na sila mapapansin doon.  Napangiti ang babae sa kanila. Kung alam lang nito na pinagti-trip-an ito ni Crosoft. They are always like that – acting as lovers kapag umaandar na naman ang saltik nito sa utak.
 "About the picture… pwede n'yo po bang sabihin sa akin kung bakit patakbong niyakap n'yo si Ate Cam?"
 "Ah wala 'yon –" She silently cursed under her breath nang kurutin ni Crosoft ang tagiliran niya. Ouch, ha?!
 "Cam." Hinagod-hagod nito ang isang braso niya sabay simpleng irap na 'di halata. Ah bahala ka Crosoft. 'Di mo talaga pinatawad ang kawawang estudyante na 'to ma expose ka lang. "We had a fight. Tapos, I woke up one day and I realized," he glanced at her with so much admiration, "I couldn't last a day without her."
  It was almost true, she could have fallen for that look. If only it was real, but it's not. She smiled and looked at him without even a glint of pretenses despite the sad reality of his acting. Oh well, ano pa bang magagawa mo Cambria? Crosoft will always be Crosoft. 
 
Naputol ang pag-iisip niya sa nakaraan.
  "Well, actually, I'm gay." Pause.
 Narinig niya ang mahinang bulungan ng mga tao sa loob.

  Gulat ang expression ng mukha niya noon habang nakatingin kay Crosoft. She was not used by his make up stories kaya nagulat siya. Noon kasi lagi lang nitong dinadaan sa biro na may halong joke sa dulo. That time, he was different. 
 "Bongga, diba? Akala ko noon, hanggang bestfriend ko lang ang pangit na 'to –"
 "Oy di ako pangit!"
 "Oo, sa mata ko." Lumapad ang ngiti nito. "Ikaw lang ang pinakamaganda."
 Pinigilan niya ang matawa. 
Narinig niya namang napa aww at ooh ang mga tao. Halata na kasi ang pamumula ng pisngi niya roon. Crosoft was really good in acting. Siya naman 'di na kailangan ng acting at effortless pa. Totoo naman kasing kinilig siya nang mga oras na 'yon. Iba lang talaga ang atmosphere noon. Aakalain mong totoo lahat. Even the girl bought his story.
 "But it turned out na kaya ko pa lang maging shokoy para sa kanya. Dati kasi serena ako. Ngayon modified na lang." Umugong ang tawanan sa loob. "Pero Cam, sa tingin mo kadiri 'yong pagmamahal ko sayo? Medyo malansa, 'no?"
 "Ewan ko sa'yo! Ako lang ba ang na in love?"
 "Hindi, tayong dalawa." 
 Nagtilian ang mga audience. Iba naman kasi talaga ang tuno ng pagkakasabi ni Crosoft nun.

 Ilang segundong tinitigan siya ni Crosoft doon sa screen. Bigla ay sumilay ang isang ngiti sa mukha nito bago ulit nagsalita.

It's a rare kind of love, and you don't always see like that everyday."
 He was only looking at her while saying those words.
Natahimik ang lahat.
 "Ang gwapo ko, 'no?" biglang segue ni Crosoft.
 Natawa naman ang lahat.
 "Kapal!"
 Nagpalakpakan ang lahat at nagsitayuan. Ibinaling niya naman ang tingin kay Crosoft. Nang bumukas ang ilaw kitang-kita niya ang masayang ngiti nito. Natawa siya. May halo kasing pa cute ang ngiti. Ang trademark smile ni Crosoft – ngiting may halong landi at pa-cute.
 Umakyat sa stage ang isang pamilyar na babae.
 "It was a great honor to show this documentary," simula nito. "It took me years para matapos ang iba't ibang kwentong pag-ibig ng mga taong 'to. Everytime I recall those events ay nararamdaman ko ang pagmamahal nila sa isa't isa. But first, let me thank those two people who inspired me to make this." Nakatingin ito sa kanila. Kinabahan naman siya nang slight. "Kuya Crosoft and Ate Cam. I wouldn't have reached this far kung hindi ko kayo nakilala. You inspired me in so many ways. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story."
 Lahat ng tao ay natuon ang atensiyon sa kanila.
 Hinila siya bigla ni Crosoft patayo. Nakangiting kumaway si Crosoft. Nahihiyang kinawayan niya si Graphie. Nagkislapan bigla ang mga camera. Akmang uupo ulit siya nang mariing hinawakan ni Crosoft ang siko niya. Naingat niya ang tingin rito. Nakangiti ito sa kanya.
 "Chill ka lang." Kumindat ito.
 Somehow it eases the tension. Natawa ulit siya. Ang landi pa rin kung maka kindat ng bruha.

 Hinarap niya si Crosoft. Pasimpleng pinunasan pa nito ang mga luhang wala naman talaga. This guy really amuses her. Sanay na siya sa mga kalokohan at ka dramahan nito kaya lang 'di pa rin niya mapigilan ang matawa sa ka-OA-han nito. Drama Queen Crosoft!
 "Ang arte mo talaga," komento niya.
 "Hindi ako maarte," hinarap siya nito,"artistahin lang."
 "Baliw." Ito pala ang dahilan kaya masaya si Crosoft. Sa bagay solve na nga ang problema nila. Thanks to Graphie and her life saver documentary. "I wonder if she has any idea how good your acting was?"
 "Bakit sa tingin mo..." He trailed off. He wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her closer. "Acting lang ang lahat ng sinabi ko that time?"
 "Hmm, hindi ba?"
 "Alam mo panira ka talaga ng moment minsan. Baka nakakalimutan mong confuse na ako nang mga oras na 'yon."
 "So mahal mo na ako noong time na 'yon?"
 "In denial pa lang." He chuckled. "Pero malapit na rin."
 "Ang cute mo talaga Crosoft D'cruze." Pinisil niya ang pisngi nito. "Ikaw na talaga."
 "Seven plus four plus three, equals?"
 Sinimangutan niya ito. "Ano ba talaga ang meaning niyan?"
 "It means.." Inilapit nito ang mukha sa kanya. Their nose touched. "Iniibig kita Cam." Natawa naman siya. Korni ng gaga!
 "Ang lalim niyan, ah. Iniibig talaga?"
 "Oo, kasing lalim ng love ko sa'yo. Saka para maiba lang." He grinned.
 "Well, iniibig din kita Mister Crosoft D'cruze."
 "That's good to know Misis Cambria Velasco D'Cruze."
 Nanlaki ang mga mata niya nang biglang lumuhod ito sa harap niya. Natutop niya ang bibig nang mula sa bulsa ng pants nito ay kinuha nito ang isang sing-sing. Nag-init ang sulok ng mga mata niya. Alam niyang OA masyado ang reaksyon niya pero ganito pala talaga ang nararamdaman ng isang babae kapag nag-propose ang isang lalaki. Pak juice!
 Hindi niya na alintana ang pagkislapan ng mga camera. Buong atensiyon niya ay na kay Crosoft. Sa kabila ng mga luhang umalpas mula sa kanyang mga mata ay hindi niya pa rin mapigilan ang matawa. Naalala niya bigla lahat ng mga pinagdaanan niya noon at mga kalokohan niya sa lihim na pagmamahal niya sa baklang bestfriend.
 "Cambria Velasco..." He trailed off. "Will you be my wife?"
 Nagtilian ang mga tao sa loob. 
Siya naman natulala.
 Parang pelikulang nag-play lahat sa utak niya. 'Yan tuloy hindi niya mapigilan ang mga luha. Literally iyak na talaga siya. Ang hirap kayang magmahal ng bakla. Buhis buhay. Sakit pa sa puso. Suki sa move on. 
 Tumayo tuloy si Crosoft. Ikinulong nito ang mukha niya sa mga palad nito. Iyak lang siya nang iyak na parang inagawan ng candy. Hindi naman mapakali ito. Hindi alam kung paano siya aaluin o kung ano bang nagawa nitong mali.
 "Cam, bakit? Ayaw mo ba?" nag-aalalang tanong nito.
 "Baliw! Gusto ko. Noon pa. Buong buhay ko pinangarap kong sana magka-amnesia ka at maging lalaki ka na lang para naman may pag-asa tayo," hikbi niya na may kasama pang sinok. "Hindi ko inakalang dadating ang oras na 'to Crosoft. Ang hirap mo kayang mahalin. Ano namang panama ko sa mga gwapong crushes mo?"
 "Thank God! Akala ko naman kung ano na. Kinabahan naman ako roon." Nakahinga ito nang maluwag. Natawa pa ito. "Ikaw talaga. So ano na? Payag ka na bang maging Mister Cambria Velasco D'Cruze?" tanong nito na may kasamang nakakalokong ngiti.
 "At talagang gusto mong ikaw ang Misis, 'no?"
 "Yes or no?"

Vanguard slouched over pulling a bottle of rum from under the bed taking a shot. "If I am to take them down, I need to know when they attack. Wait for the biggest crowd."

Marcus lit a cigarette blowing the smoke in Rodger's face giving a dull look. "I know, I hate it all. Those fans are pissing me off. One day I might just flip."
"You haven't been taking your medicine, have you?"
"They don't work."

Marcus lightly shoved Rodger off as he turned around at the head of the bed slouching over spitting smoke all over. "I'm going to order a pizza. You can collect it yeah?"
"Of course, you don't want anyone knowing you live in a shitty apartment with a prick like me."
"Great."
Marcus threw a towel over his shoulder ready for his shower. Rodger spun back around leaning against the wall. "Do you want me to, deal, with Alton?"
Marcus placed his hand on the doorknob, he gave it a little thought shaking his head. "No, there is no need for that. I still believe he will take my offer."
"What a saint…"
"Alton, he's not like his overambitious teammates who want to be superheroes. His motivation is more… human. Once he realises, he can't make any money from his current gig he will jump ship. And now I've dumped that annoying bitch Dannie on them he will most likely be pulling his hair out."
"Percy."
"What?"
"His name is Percy."
"I don't care."
"Whatever, I don't know what you hope to achieve with this kid… you, you won't forget about our promise right?" Marcus didn't respond as he ducked into the bathroom starting up the shower. Rodger leaned back sighing melting back into his chair. He began to investigate and look more into team Rhapsody. A small notification popped up on his screen warning him. Rodger scratched his skinhead yelling out. "Marcus! The streamer I've kept an eye on has gone through his meltdown. You want to deal with it?"
"Where is it?!" Marcus yelled from the shower.
"An Arcade. Quite busy there."
"No! Let the streamer have his fun."
"Wouldn't that make V.I.R.A.L look bad?"
"Perhaps. But it also works in our favour. When the new streamers become a problem, the mass will flock to the reliable. I think fifteen years of being number one is reliable."
Rodger smirked pulling up the camera feed waiting in anticipation opening a bag of popcorn. "Well then, let the meltdown begin."

"Hell yeah, new high score!" Percy roared jumping around getting slightly too excited for everyone's comfort.
"Told you this was going to happen." Zinnia hissed giving Alton her best-disapproved look possible.
Alton huffed getting more pissed off refusing to give her the time of day. "Fuck off you did."
Zinnia tapped her foot annoyed. "This kid goes to my school. He's so bloody annoying. Always preaching about how amazing Vanguard is. He is the definition of a fanboy if I saw one."
"Well we've got to think of something, I can't keep giving the kid quarters."
"We cannot have him on the team. Let's just leave him. He's got the whole arcades to himself. If we run now, he'll never see us again."
"We can't just ditch him! You saw the stream; the whole world thinks we took him on under the kindness of my own heart. If we ditch him there will be a major backlash. Vanguard knows that."
Zinnia punched a wall angered. "Damn it, what the hell did the meanie talk to you about anyway?"
"Doesn't matter." Alton shut down glossing over Zinnia's shoulder. "Hey look, streamer at three o'clock."
Zinnia turned around seeing a streamer in black and pink hoodie-wearing bunny ears. The drone following her looked tainted as small puffs of purple haze emitting from it and the girl glossing around them. "Doesn't she look weird."
"Maybe we shouldn't be discussing a private problem so publicly." Alton turned around trying to make sure the streamer didn't see them. As he looked away, he couldn't help but keep watching. The streamer looked wild. Her eyes were twitching as she gazed around the room like a wild animal. "Something doesn't seem right here…"
 
The streamer held her head swinging it around mumbling nothing under her breath. Eventually, she began screaming as the purple haze began to spiral out of control. Before any of them could react or do anything the haze erupted blowing the area away…

In a world full of superhumans with fantastical abilities the idea of superheroes is seen as nothing more than childish dreams. The superheroes are instead streamers, people stream their crime-fighting ordeals for the world with the whole reason of getting rich and famous, nothing more, nothing less. The concept of great power means great responsibility is thrown out the window for a new era of supers.

Alton Brantley is one such person. Working two part-time jobs to make ends meet he keeps his powers a secret not wanting the burdens of his past to define him. This changes however when he is met by a larger than life girl Zinnia, she dreams of being a real-life superhero like the ones of old. Forming the underdogs they begin to climb the ranks gaining new allies in order to become the most famous streamers the world has ever seen.

I did say the last time that I was going to introduce to you an amusing fellow, didn't I? Well, now you have it. Meet Popcorn Lover for the star of today's party.
Yes, you can probably already imagine the kind of things this boy likes. Popcorn Lover as a name isn't exactly too subtle but that's the whole idea here. The boy is as fun as his name here is. Of all the observation quests, I find observing this particular boy the most enjoyable to watch. He's simply such a delight and is a rather open book to anybody.
Popcorn lover is a Spaniard... somewhat. he has this dark hair and eyes and well as sun-kissed skin that screams cute. It doesn't help that he has sharp features that make him incredibly good-looking. The only thing I can think of that girls might find a little scary is how much hair he has. Popcorn lover has hair on his chin and face, on his arms and his legs. They aren't fine ones either, it's a full-blown thick curly layer of hair that covers them. It's not very common in Singapore to see boys or men with so much hair. Asian women and men tend to be less hairy in general.
The delinquent is average in his studies who only needed a little guidance to be able to get his passing grades. It's not hard to get along with the boy either because he's always very optimistic. If someone told him that he was wrong and tried to put him down, nothing would catch them by surprise more than Popcorn Lover's smile and his thanks. Popcorn Lover has this disarming smile and on top of that, his honest appreciation for criticism made him a force not to be trifled with.
I once asked why he would thank the mean people for insulting him and Popcorn Lover said the wisest thing I've ever heard.
"Criticism is information that will help you grow," he told me seriously and added with a smile that it was a quote by Hendrie Weisinger[1]. The boy took that quote and applied it to his life. It's also the secret to his optimism. I couldn't help but be impressed.
Popcorn Lover has a dream. It isn't a very big dream but it's a very noteworthy one. When I talked to him more, I came to find out how simple-minded he was. The boy doesn't like conflict and just wants to see everyone be happy. His love for popcorn come from going to the cinema when he was younger. His mother, when she was alive, used to always get him a bag of popcorn before they watched a movie and he was very happy. However, Popcorn Lover has his fair share of unhappiness too.
His mother passed away from an accident when he was ten, so he had to cope with school and life with his father. Neither of them knew how to cook initially, the house was always a mess and both men didn't know how to deal with the loss of their kin. His father took to going overseas for work to numb the pain while Popcorn Lover took to hanging out with more interesting company.
Now that Casper came in to change his entire world of rot, Popcorn Lover saw some sort of hope. Perhaps, he told me, he could pick up the dream he left many years ago to open a popcorn store. He didn't want to own a popcorn station at the cinema because he claims that the people who buy popcorn at the cinemas do not truly love popcorn. He would drive a popcorn truck around the world selling his snack to spread the joy.
I kept an eye out on Popcorn Lover for a while and found that he enjoys the simpler things in life like cloud-watching and just doing nothing in particular. It's rare to see how someone could simply enjoy the moment without doing anything. If it were me, I would not be able to handle that kind of idle lifestyle.
Popcorn Lover is also a very good listener. His silent companionship makes you feel better naturally. Sometimes, silence can be golden and I think Popcorn Lover is the 'mother' of the rowdy gang. Nobody would try to offend Popcorn Lover intentionally and he naturally takes care of their well-being. It doesn't happen often but when Popcorn Lover thinks something has gone over the line, he would put his foot down and tell the boys in a very gentle tone that enough is enough. Surprisingly, nobody argues with him.
Popcorn Lover is always happy all the time. Almost nothing can get him down and if it does, he picks himself back up quickly. The boy is always seen helping someone in the class. It doesn't matter if he was helping them to study or just picking up somebody's pencil from the ground, he does it without expecting thanks.
Before this, I could never imagine seeing or knowing anyone as good-natured as him. It's amazing each time I see him spread the joy and kindness as he goes along with his day. Casper and I could use some of his positivity in our lives right now. Although we think we're doing a good job teaching this bunch of hooligans, we can't help but worry that somehow the boys will turn the tables against us and pull a one-eighty during the test. It surely isn't easy for Casper to be accepted in their ranks and their new leader. I'm doing what I can but the bond between these brothers are tight. I'm not sure if it's even possible to wedge Casper in it. They might respect him as a leader for his capabilities but I don't know if they will truly see him as a brother in arms.
Side story, I asked Popcorn Lover to bring some of his homemade popcorn and the boy brought a big bag of it to class just yesterday. It was a unanimous vote that he was a good popcorn chef and Junior appointed him in charge for popcorn on movie afternoons. Yes, they have movie afternoons. It's not something I knew about until yesterday. Casper even agreed that if everyone passed the test he will order some popcorn from Popcorn Lover and buy a movie that the class votes on so they could watch it together.
I don't know what Casper is getting himself into but all's well, ends well.

So the rest of the school week was just the same old boring thing. 

Very boring this time because someone still doesn't wanna mind his business and admit that he's jealous.

Well,I'm to go see Ken today. He invited me over to his place to hang out and I don't see how that's a bad idea.

I just pray Mr bad boy doesn't get information from unknown sources and start trailing or monitoring me like I'm one 6 year old kid.

So let's talk more about school shall we?

Carmella has tried to sabotage me in every way possible but recently,she has just failed miserably in doing that.

On Thursday, she bullied a junior and tried to blame it on me. I didn't even know the girl for crying out loud.

Surprisingly, the girl in question couldn't point fingers at Carmella. 

Neither could anyone else,except Ken.

Well not like there was no other person that could,but I guess that was the only person that really cared. That other person wouldn't care.

He exposed the bitch and she cursed the both of us because she was so furious that someone could do such to her.

Funny. Wake up,dumbass! This ain't your world anymore.

Its been cool how Ken and I have been able to relate well this past few days.

We've become a troublesome duo...so to say.

"You look ridiculous"

I said, after looking up at Ken's clothes. We were playing dress up and I had dared him to try fitting into girl clothes.

"No. I bet I look sexy" He said, pouting.

"No,you look horrible. Go put off that ridiculous gown" I said

He rolled his eyes and hurriedly ran in like a child. He soon came out few minutes after.

"How about now?"

He was wearing a crop top that had a heart shape drawn on it with a short.

"Okay,this looks promising" I said.

He clapped his hands together in amusement and squealed like a typical teenage girl who just got new shoes or something.

"Now,let's apply some make up" I said.

"Make up? No. I'm not getting that filth on my pretty face" 

"Hurry up! Like you said,Marla wouldn't like it if she caught you wearing her clothes."

Marla is Ken's junior sister. She's about 16....typical teenager. Trust me, Ken wouldn't wanna summon the wrath of an angry teenage girl.

"Ugh fine" 

About 20 minutes later

"God I look like a plastic doll,Josephine." He said, examining his face in the mirror.

"No you look good. Say cheese" I exclaimed, pointing the phone at him to take a picture.

He just stood there like he was motionless.

Haha stupid boy.

"Got it"

"Now can I rub all these off?" He asked

"Definitely"

"Thank you"

"Hurry up with it. I'm starving"

"Ugh... Just give me some time" He yelled from his room

"Okay." I yelled back

7 minutes later.

"Hey....should we order some pizza?"

"Yayyy pizza" I screamed

"Weirdo"

"You're the weirdo,duh" I said,as I rolled my eyes.

He picked up the phone to order the pizza, while I was busy examining the house.

"You have some kinda movie we can watch?" I asked

"Well duh. I have tons."

"Yayyy" I squealed.

"If you keep doing that I swear,I'll end you."

I laughed out loud. "So read the title out and let me decide on the one to watch."

"Why are you to decide?"

"Because I'm the guest."

"But this is my house."

"Scratch that,dummy."

He picked the selections and started to read out.

"The storm"  He said,sighing and glaring at me.

"No. Sounds stormy." I said.

"Don't tell me you want to watch a romantic movie" He said.

"I ain't down for that now."

"Good to know."

We kept on arguing until we both agreed on a movie.

The doorbell rang.

"It must be the pizza delivery guy." Ken yelled

"Where's the money? I ain't paying." I yelled back.

"On the dish washer" he yelled,again.

"Okay" 

I opened the door to see the pizza delivery dude. 

"That will be..."

"Just take the money and go" I said,cutting him off.

"You're not even gonna ask for a..."

"Bye"

I closed the door and jumped into my seat. "Ken,the movie is about to start" I yelled

I love yelling. Heh.

Soon,he came downstairs with some chip and dip. "I'm here,lousy mouth" He replied,rolling his eyes.

"You've got caramel?" I asked

"Yeah why?"

"Popcorn!" I exclaimed,squealing in excitement.

I hope food doesn't kill me one day,though.

He shook his head "Just hurry up,its in the kitchen"

By the time I arrived,the casts were being displayed on Ken's awkwardly designed TV. Although, I could tell it was very expensive by the high definition and the looks of it.

We finally agreed on a horror movie titled "After dark"

The starting of the movie seemed nice and promising,but I knew all were just lies because horror movies are never cheesy and cute.

My hand found its way to the pizza box and it somehow collided with Ken's.

I didn't really realise because my eyes were just fixed on the TV.

When a very scary part of the movie came up,I jumped and crawled under a stool to hide,making Ken burst into laughter.

"Why watch a horror movie when you're such a scaredy cat?"

"No,its just so weird"

He signaled for me to come sit beside him. I crawled over, which made him giggle. I glared at him and he tried to control his laughter before I try to kill him or something.

Some minutes later,we were fighting because of the chip and dip. Ken had been taking more than a mouthful and it pissed me off.

"I need food to survive,don't you get it? 

" I really don't" He said.

Now what I assume to be the scariest part of the story came on. I screamed and flinched,grabbing Ken by his sides.

"Come here you'll be safe" He said,as we cuddled up together .

I gotta admit,it was warm being in his hands. My tension started to fade away and I was feeling relaxed.

I blinked my eyes and saw that I was resting my head on Ken's chest. I had slept on him. 

How uncomfortable would that have been?

Again, we were in an awkward position so I just tried to slip out of his tight grip.

Yeah,he was fast asleep.

But I couldn't, his grip was way too tight.

"Why hold me this tight?" I mumbled to myself.

"I don't want you to fall"

I looked up at him and raise an eyebrow

"I thought you were asleep" 

"Nop" He said,stressing the letter 'p'

Our faces were just inches away from each other and his hands were on my buttcheeks. 

"We didn't finish the movie,did we?" I asked

"Oh I did. You fell asleep when it almost ended.

"Dang it"

"Don't worry,I won't be a spoiler" He said, smiling.

"Well,thanks for clearing that up. Can you let go of me now?"

"No"

"What? But why?" I whined

"I just wanna stare at your face"

"What's so pretty about the face? Its not even pretty,its horrible"

"Says who?"

"Says me"

"You think you're ugly?"

"I don't think,I know I'm ugly"

"Hmm"

I was waiting for some kinda consolation or words of hope because that's literally what most guys do. Fools!

"Well...if you think so, but I'll prove you wrong. Not just today, you'll see."

I was confused. I just stared blankly at his face and responded casually "Alright then"

"Josey?"

"Yeah?"

"Not to mean any harm but...I really like you"

I smiled.

Oh Jeez...why did you smile, stupid bitch?

"I think I like you too"

"I wanna ask. Please don't get offended" 

"I won't"

"Anything going on between you and Jax?"

"Never. Why would you think of such a thing?"

"Well,he's always on the lookout for you. Monitoring you everywhere you go."

"Tell me about it" I rolled my eyes. "He's just being Jax. The stupid meanie that runs the whole place"

"I know right." He said,laughing.

"Hey I gotta ask. Are you friends with Jax?"

I frowned at myself for that question. Obviously,they are not friends but the courage and manner in which Ken speaks to Jax was not normal. No normal person had the guts to do that and not end up going home with a swollen mouth or face.

"What do you mean? We're not."

"Yes but,were you friends or something? You guys have this weird relationship. Though,you hate each other but you should know too well that no normal person could talk to Jax the way you do"

He laughed and shook his head.

"What's funny?"I asked,raising my head up.

" You won't understand,baby girl"

He gently pulled my face closer to his and kissed me tenderly.

I couldn't do anything.

It was as if there was a switch that just makes me weak and loose control whenever he does that.

I pulled away to catch my breath and stared at him for some seconds before bursting into laughter.

He was quite amused. I tried to control myself but I failed miserably.

"Now,what's funny?" He asked 

"You won't understand, baby boy" I said,as I winked.

"Don't tease me,you'll pay for it"

"Never"

He laughed and shook his head again. "You're just amazing. I wish you could be mine,honestly, but with Jax all around you, I don't see that happening."

"Why wish when it could just happen?"

What are you saying??????

"But Jax?"

"Leave him to me. He can't do anything"
