—A coffee with foam and with more coffee than milk —I ask the girl at the bar, who kindly smiles at me and walks into the kitchen.
 This bar is new, it opened two weeks ago and it already has enough customers to pay two months' rent, while the lady prepares my coffee, I turn to see the place, it has a "Techno" style, it is modern and cozy, it gives the feeling of freshness in the air, in addition to the aroma of coffee and mint that remains in suspension, the aroma of mint I don't know why I smell it but it is pleasant.

I walk through my dreams like I've lived a whole life there, most times they are about a recent book I read. That is one of the things I do a lot and I'm not just saying that I really do read almost all day long. If I'm not reading I am probably watching some movie or anime series, yes you can probably guess I haven't done much with my life. let's start where it all began.

Back in middle school I loved to read books so much so that when I was grounded they took away my books instead of saying I couldn't go out with friends or no tv/games. yes I was a pretty strange kid compared to some being a 12 year old in America at the time(2012 No less). when I was grounded my next best thing was video games because they told stories as well at the time my video game collection was pretty sparce using an old dell business computer that ran windows xp (let's just say I got really good at minesweeper). even before I found books video games were still present. I still remember my mom gifting me an original Xbox she won in a contest it came with one game and it was a racing game not a lot of story just races.

After a while of getting in trouble I got grounded while i was grounded so I lost games as well suffice to say my box of legos was not very entertaining for a 12 year old mainly because I didn't like to make things up myself it felt so tedious that I had to work so hard to make up shapes and other things people already. i also didn't have many friends so instead I slept, and I slept hard. I don't remember much of my dreams then but I do remember one that was about magic and there was a really dark forest that went on forever in a sea of trees, other than that though I don't remember.
A couple of months later I was officially free and it felt like freedom I got to read again, it was so much fun, I would imagine it being like a drowning mans next breath of air. I didn't goto sleep that night instead I stayed up reading, when morning came I was tired but the book just got to THAT PART that is just so interesting and catching you can't stop, i read through that day as well. after dinner I got so tired I slept couldn't keep reading.
the next morning felt so sluggish like the morning after you get drunk but not enough for a hangover. well after a week of being late for school because I was busy reading parents up an sold all my books. ALL of them like really I was almost done reading them! I never read another book until after basic training 4 or 5 years later.
things changed after I lost my collection I switched to video games and because they didn't want me up all night reading whenever Christmas came around it was games instead of books. birthday? video game. my dad was an avid gamer always tried to keep his pc updated and sent old games I could run on my pc to me. me and my dad were always great at games but I could never compete with him, and it totally didn't have to do with me playing the games for the stories instead of for the high scores(of you can't tell this sentence is sarcasm read this again).

flash forward to the start of high school I was big on video games by then my computer had upgraded to a brand new one from my birthday me and my dad built it together good memories there. I remember when i tried to play morrowwind on it. that was when I realised I didn't like challenging games i liked to play and get the story, maybe different endings (those were my favorite).

at the start of high school I didn't really have a lot of friends because I didn't have many in middle school. my dad recommended me to join the ROTC there, he said he did and he had fun when he was in high school. So I did and the first year was fun and it started with ROTC especially when I started competing. I had so much fun I spent 14 hours of day at school I woke up at 5 to get to practice went to school than got home around 7 after the other practice you can imagine I didn't have a lot of time for video games especially because all that practice was physally demanding. 

1 year later 2 year in high school this I would consider the real start of high school for you actually have to do something to pass your classes I met a girl in my math class (insert joke about about girls causing problems in highschool here [ps: this is the joke I'm not sexist]). We started talking about a lot of things our school football team things like that, than we got to books she loved to read book I got to see her library once well less of a library and more of a whole wall of books and all books I wanted to read. her name was Alex I had the biggest crush on her at one point than found out she was lesbian so we kinda grew apart shallow I know but it's high school things like this happen. anyways after seeing those books some of them I used to read myself I started to want to read again, but I had no books i was still forbidden to read so I put my frustration put on video games during this time I was playing a lot of modern warfare 2 I loved the story and the way it flowed but it was really the first game I really played on steam I have logged over 500 hours  on that game alone I got every achievement for single player even the ones for veteran difficulties and also got most for the multiplayer which at this point I had everything unlocked and was max level I loved the multi player.

at this point I was starting to show up late sometimes to practice because I wasn't sleeping early enough. I went one more year like that and over summer I played so many video  games I swear I dreamt about sheaperd in mw2 around this time skyrim came out and I played the heck out of it  (I didn't get as many hours of playtime because 3rd year of high school is the hardest around 200hours). 3rd year rolls around I've dropped out of all practices because it was all boring again nothing new same old stuff. I was still busy keeping my grades up especially that foreign language credit that is needed to graduate.

4th year felt like being a freshman again except youre the one who makes fun of the freshmen.

nothing important happened then so I graduated and I wanted adventure something new so I went and joined the US Airforce. If I knew what I knew about it than I would have waited unroll now to join. long story short my addiction to video games got the better of me some nights during training and I ended up sleeping in, combined with my selective forgetfulness  (I kid you not I forgot my boots one time). luckily I wasn't in that long so I got an entry level discharge (look it up if you don't know) after I got back I found books to read online and read I did but because I didn't have school and at the time no work to deal with

this is about the time where I realised something special about my dreams.

at one point in high school I played a game where you create your own games and other people play them but this wasn't like legos using only blocks this was a program and once they started to abandon the Lego building style I started to learn it you could import meshes from other programs like blender so I started learning how to use it during this time I started dreaming up wire frames i wanted to tell a story using this game a story without words. I spent a long time on this and I can say to this day that I am self taught at how to use blender and that I ended up really famous on that game for my builds

that was the first clue because I was spending so long learning how to use blender I started dreaming up wire frames or if I was having a really hard time with a specific thing I would dream how it looked and be able to re create it the next day.

now after my attempt at trying to get a stable job i went back to reading. It started out with books i had already read then spread and spread till I found whole websites filled with books to read some exciting some not and they all had one HUGE thing in common they were all fiction and that's what I like. the wilder the better.

one day I met a girl and we planned on getting married and we had a kid a beautiful daughter we named Angela love her so much. I don't know what happened after we came out of the hospital after she gave birth she said she was through with me and left. that hurt a lot so I went back to reading and read I did the stories around this time were mainly reincarnation stories in another world I swear I had a dream at one point i was reincarnated into alegasea  (if you don't know you haven't lived).

this is where I realised my dreams make for the best stories and I tried to write a story about a specific dream once or twice. It never turned out well. Now I'm in college for networking taking a Cisco class (super boring) so my dreams are extra vivid further making me want to write those stories out but they never seem to tell the story how I want then to but right now this one is working does this count as 4th wall break? (lol couldn't resist the humor there [and don't say it was bad because you thought it was funny at some point deep deeeep down you just don't know it])

Sukojou High, the school where I move in. I have my reasons why I need to transfer in the middle of the school year. 
I explained to my parents that I would try harder to be successful. I also explain that I can do a part-time job because the workplace is close to my apartment. Also, it's not bad that a student likes me having a part-time job.
I, Yamasaki Mitsuo, entered its high school division this September. My hobby is reading, so I mainly go to the public library since I moved here to Okayama. I also write my own story and publish it on the internet. Preparing myself is my priority when reading feedbacks from the story. As I expected, some of them hate some cliche I made, and it's too obvious what will happen afterward.
Today is September 1, my first day in Sukojou High and also my birthday. I'm expecting that no one will ever know because it's embarrassing.
I woke up at 5:30 am, it's too early for the others but this is the normal time for me to wake up. I took a bath in cold water because the heater had not yet been installed. I ate my breakfast and read some manga before I went out to school.
I had a thought, events that would take place in my new high school life. Peaceful environment, reliable teachers and staff, many activities, and good classmates.
I was tired of what's happening in my previous school. Do you know? I want something that I would not regret and that my decision will not go to waste.
Walking down the streets, Mesmerizing the beauty of the environment, My heart suddenly eased. It crossed my mind that I would have been here longer, As my new life begins here. 
I have yet to see a student walking to school this early, so I went through a convenience store to look. As I expected, I was the only person here. 
I didn't know what to buy, so I just looked at the book section to read and get an idea of the novel I was making. I took a long time to read because I liked the story.
Later on, two students came in this early and bought some food. I feel like someone watching me even as I try to focus on what I'm reading. I shuddered because they were looking at me. 
"Did I do something to them?" "Did I do something to them?" "Did I do something to them?"
"Did I do something to them?" "Do they like me?"  "Do they like me?"  "Do they like me?" 
"Did I do something to them?" "Am I handsome?" "Am I handsome?" " Yes, it is," words running through my mind make me crazy.
The other student was still staring at me with her daring eyes, I bought the book I was reading and went out to avoid them. I saw some students walking to school, So I also walked to school and distance with them.
After that, I am in my deep thoughts on what if someone will approach me? And ask why the heck did I transfer in the middle of the school year? Or like someone teasing me on my first day? So many predicaments come to my mind.
I was so nervous about what would happen on my first day. Whether I would have a friend, an enemy, or be alone again just like before. 
Taking in the beauty of mother nature, the vast sky high above, A world dyed orange, with greenery everywhere you go. The road stretched as far as eyes can see, the trees are dancing, following the direction of the wind, this has to be something compared to my previous school.
A long gate you will see next to the beautiful view. You wouldn't expect it to be a school, because it was like a huge mansion owned by a royal family. This is Sukojou High. 
I went straight to the junior high faculty room to ask which room I was going to. Unfortunately, I didn't find it right away because I didn't know where it is.
Fortunately, someone came out of the library, so I quickly asked her where the faculty room was. She was wearing black-rimmed eyeglasses and holding a book. Her size is only up to my shoulder.
"Goodmorning!" I greet her. 
"Goodmorning…" She replied while adjusting her eyeglasses. 
I immediately asked her to tell me where the faculty room is so that she can't think I'm a creep. 
"Umm can you help me with something?" I asked shyly 
"What is it?" she replies.
"This is my first day at school l and I have to go to the Junior High faculty room, but I don't know where it is."
"Oh, I will also go there to borrow the key to our classroom." and then she smiles.
Damn, her smile is so radiant and contagious!
"Let's go!" she added.
"Yes" 
On our way to the faculty room, she asked me some questions.
"Your name?"
"Yamasaki Mitsuo, sorry I didn't tell," I answered while scratching my head.
"Ishihara Misaki, nice to meet you."
I bend slightly and smile at her.
"I apologize if this would be rude, but why is this your first day here? It's already September," she added.
To be honest, I expect that someone will ask me questions like that. Instead of telling the truth, I prepared an excuse to make them believe.
"Because of my parent's job?" I said
"Damnnnn, that's not what I should say. I hope she believes," I said this to myself.
As I wish, she believes. You can still see the curiosity on her face that my answer is not enough. 
"It's not like I want to intervene in your life, but it seems to have something else," She said that and looked at me seriously.
"Umm, that's m-"
"Sorry, sorry. I think I stepped out the line." 
The mood suddenly becomes awkward until we reach the faculty room. We knocked and entered the faculty room. Nanako Moriko, one of the teachers for the 2nd year.
"Oh, Yamasaki, right?" she asked
"Yes, ma'am."
"Exactly, Ishihara, I forgot to tell you guys that he will be your classmate starting today. So I plan to tell it to you later." Ms. Nanako said and drank her coffee.
I was surprised as well as Ishihara because we are in the same class. Coincidence right?
"You just need the key, right? Here and Yamasaki, wait here until the 1st subject comes."
Ishihara took the key and went out. She looked at me and said 
"Nice to meet you again, Yamasaki- san. Let's get along"

How I hate unprepared reading, Miss Jones will be ready to humiliate my 'behind' today.
       I can't wait for this day to be over, but before that I should get ready for School. I wash up, put on my school uniform. I went downstairs for my breakfast. My school bus will be here in 5 minute's time. Time fly fast when you don't want to go to school. I hear my mom shouting from her bedroom saying "Saint, the school bus is here hurry up." 
        Well she didn't even bother to come down stairs to eat breakfast with me or check me out. Nope! I don't blame mom she in pain, my dad beat her every day for no reason. 
     My parent are always present but not present in my life. Well having an ignorant father thinking providing food only, it the important need for his child upbringing. He doesn't come home, if his home he just isolated.
     I took my time getting in the bus. It drove to school, arriving at the school gate. I was dragging my feet's, all of the suddenly my legs has forgotten its main function WALKING.
     I crossed my finger and say, "God please it still early in the morning, please not be Miss Jones."
The sound of high heels gave it away, of course it Miss Jones. She approaching the class. The first period to attend is English, I'm dead either way. Its only few day school has open, this is my first week in high school. She open the door, entering the class placed her notes and books on the table. She looked at us and says, "Stand up students, Good morning." We all stood up.
    And said "Good morning to you too Miss Jones." After that we all took our seats. Whoever came up with this culture of standing up in class just to greet shall burn in hell for Eternity. She took out a class list and call up a name.
    "Kathy." Miss Jones shouted out loud. 
So Kathy is the opening act. I feel sorry for her, Shame.  Kathy went to the front and Miss Jones gave her a book. She started reading "I will be reading the book called the kingdom of Dragon Flames, chapter 1 history of Emperor Park Tae . . . hung . . . Tea hyung." 
   The whole started laughing hard.
"It's Emperor Park Taehyung." Miss Jones corrected her.  
Zoey sitting next to me, my only friend. I watch her laugh, somehow people find enjoyment in other people's hardship. She glanced at me and says, "She cracked me up, still she can't read? We are in our senior year now." I did a spiteful giggle to hide my sorrows. Half of the class is done.
         Miss Jones calls me up, I felt like my heart was about to fall on the ground. I listened to my heartbeat ruthlessly pounding non-stop. 
          I stood there in front facing a brutally savage audience, Miss Jones came close and gave me a book.
     Touching the book I felt dizzy complete darkness, my true colours about to pop out the surface. Everyone is watching, I started tilting my head. "In the name of the father, the son and holy spirit, I command you to stay silent and calm." I prayed silently.  
That always does the trick, my dad thinks I'm possessed with demons but my mom know I'm gifted.  
        "SAINT, what are you thinking? Go on read." Miss Jones is yelling now.    
 I guess now it my turn to entertain this morons, this will be my first stand-up comedy. 
Fury and rage summon it out. I don't want them to know that I'm unique, different and most of all special.  
"Greeting my peasants, I will be reading a book called the Dark Curse chapter 1: the royal kingdom, all the Monarchs and the History of the evil Emperor Envy de Joker" everyone started to laugh.
      Are they all laughing at me because I called them my peasants or just because we share the same last name? Come to think about it, I'm Saint de Joker and his Envy de Joker.
No way.
      We only share the same last name, it talks about Emperor probably Asian: Chinese, Japanese or Korean. In Africa we only have Kings and chiefs.  
          "Settle down kids, just read and stop being a clown." Miss Jones shouted.

The bell rings, time to head to science lab. I quickly pack my books inside my bag pack.

        These women really hates me to the core, she is making my life miserable. 
I look around searching for Zoey, can't locate her anyway she probably went to science lab.  She has a crush on Ben "Brighton high Genius" the golden boy. Everyone left the school is empty, I should also get going or I will be kick out to class. All of the sudden the whole classroom become so dark the door locked itself, at the center a dark solely stoke figure with blood red eyes appeared staring at me. I tried to run to the door but death walking skeletons blocked my path. 
     "Child, do not fear come near." Dark shadow of a man says. 
"I don't know what you want from me but let set the record straight. I'm a Christian, I only serve the high God, I AM, the beginning and the end, Elohim that one so please leave me alone Devil."
       Blasted out of laugher like I just cracked a silly joke. "You don't know who you are for now but eventually you will find out about your true identity. Search deep within you and unleash that burning fury by there you will have all your questions answered, my child."
        I'm slowly sinking to my knees, I cover my ears with my hands. Still Hearing him saying, "unleash your power . . . your parents can't be trusted . . . listen to me for I am your saver." The voice in my head says.

That burning fury I was containing violently break out of it shell. I felt like my whole world is crashing down. I scream, help . . .  help . . . please someone help me. No one can hear me, I should give in. I can't bear the pain anymore.

It has been a really bad day for me today. Thinking back what happened in school today, I really cannot help but being frustrated.

   At first we just ignore each other and read quietly at our own position but day after day we start to become close and start to talk to each other. Looking back it has been 3 years since our friendship started and it has become what it was now.

"Hey what happened today wasn't the end you know. I'm sure there something you can do even if you fail to awakened. Beside your family is the strongest family around here so no one will bully you even if you didn't awakened". I snapped back from my thought as I heard Sarah said those word.

Yes, listening to her word I remembered the event that happened in school today. The event that will change my life forever. The magic awakening event.
