it was a sunny morning in my quarantined and locked hometown of beach boro. I had woken up, had my food, got on my pc, and started my stretches. I had just finished watching Starset's new music video for the new single titled trials reimagined that had just been on youtube since I know that divisions 2.0 is coming and I am also aware that they are milking the 10th track of there 3rd album for some reason since it has something to do with the song being an anthem for the rebels in the Starset lore of the story and it could be the theme for the people who are surviving this COVID crisis as we speak.
turning on my tv I had started watching the news just to see what is going on in our world. and from the look of the state America is in now. a black lives matter uprising is still going ever since the incidents were now set in motion because of the one incident that caused a violent cry out for justice in that area.
more this world changes. the more fucked we truly are in this world as we see the truth in front of our eyes. and from what I heard on the news when I watched tv. it is scary that this virus will stay around for long and will not stop until we are all dead.

The hammering noise coming from downstairs blended seamlessly with my dream as it slowly woke me up. I turned to look at the clock, squinting my eyes as it's bright red numbers burned into my retinas. 3:36am. I extended my right arm and felt that Ashley was no longer laying in bed. I tightly clenched the bed sheets as the noise persisted, echoing through the house. "It's four in the morning!", I yelled out. I could see that there weren't any lights on past my bedroom door, which was odd. I got out of bed and headed for the stairs.

We both kept our eyes locked to the window. The blinds were closed, but I knew exactly what was behind them. "is the door locked?", I asked. Ashley, still looking at the window, started to laugh hysterically. "IS THE FUCKING DOOR LOCKED!" I yelled, getting angrier. I put my hand around Ashley's neck and watched as she struggled to breath. I let go when her face lost color. She spit into my face, continuing to laugh through her coughing fit. "Fuck you", she said. I ran to the front door, quickly locking it. I then headed for the back door, locking that one as well, as if it would make any difference at all. I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and walked back towards Ashley, who was still laughing maniacally.

I put the knife to Ashley's neck and walked her over to the mirror so she could watch me slit her throat. I stood in front of the mirror, seeing myself hold the knife to my own neck. There's nobody else here. I stared into my own bloodshot eyes -- realizing that I was no longer in control of my own body -- realizing that I've completely lost my mind.



Adam can't help but be happy! He received a system! Wait... is he really the only one who got it?
He hurries to check the reddit on his computer and press f5 repeatedly.
5 minutes and nothing. If there are no people talking about it on Reddit it is because there are less than 100 people in the world with powers or because there is no one else.
Adam looks at the action buttons he is very tempted to simply choose [cultivate], but it is better to [study] first. The boy chooses to study and he feels several options, choose theme 1, 2, 3, ... Allocate study time 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours ...
He checks the hours, it is 10 pm, he usually goes to sleep 00:00. But fuck it, it puts 4 hours of study with 3 subjects of study Cultivation of the body, origins of heroes and tutorial to be a vigilante. 
The next 4 hours are the most amazing things in Adam's life. It is as if he were an experienced researcher. No Reddit or google. He quickly accesses historical databases and oriental literary analyzes, philosophy and Chinese mythology. Adam reads it with absurd speed, and he manages to memorize the contents that seem interesting and quickly discards the useless contents for the purpose of research, Adam makes colorful, consistent, referenced and organized notes. After that he begins to study the origins of heroes, most of his focus was on more current cinema and comic book stories. In less than 5 minutes he realizes that it will not be useful to study the origins of heroes, these tales are meant to entertain and impress, because they have to be marketed. Adam will study biographies of real heroes in the future, but his focus of study shifts to vigilantism. 
In this matter he dedicates almost two and a half hours. Much of the study consists of neighborhood surveillance forums, training for shopping security guards and tips for de-escalating dangerous situations.
The more he studies, the more quickly he realizes that it is not possible to be a hero overnight. Much of it consists of investigations and passing the job on to more competent people. 
Someone dealing drugs? Who does he buy from? Who's boss? Oh do they use an app to combine exchanges? Pass the investigation on to cybercrime. Are exchanges in another state? So it's a federal investigation, pass the job on to another team. Police and politicians involved? Pass the investigation to homeland security. Multi-country crime? INTERPOL.
You will have thousands of agents investigating financial transactions, identifying suspects, building a psychological portfolio of criminal leaders, discovering locations of warehouses and more.
Crimes escalate quickly with investigations and this needs resources. Or he can stick with watching the neighborhood. 
Adam finishes studying, he is kind of discouraged because much of the vigilante study just made it clear that being one is either boring or stupid. Cultivation is just a series of mysticism, he will have to see more about philosophy and oriental medicine. And about heroic origins, it is also useless. Better learn about other things.
He looks at his watch, 2 am. He needs to enter the supermarket at 7:40 am. But he is still too energetic to sleep.
Wait... I have superpowers and still have to work in that supermarket? 
Never.
Adam chooses [Cultivate]

Adam is an 18-year-old who works as a cashier in a supermarket chain when he discovers that he has a system to become a Cultivator. The first and only cultivator on earth.

How will governments react? How will Adam manage to fight crime? Will Adam get money? More importantly, in which country will he be able to build a harem?

I've always had a fascination with werewolves and lycanthropy. I think the thing that draws me to them is their raw power and lack of control, which is the opposite to me since I strive for total control and usually have little to no power or stamina. 

As of late along with my studies into demon summoning I have also started to look into the lycanthropy curse. Sadly it's not very easy. Like with psionics, it's been shrouded in modern pop culture. A simple search for lycanthropy and you get bombarded with things about dungeons and dragons, and how dungeon masters should implement the curse into the gameplay style. On the other end of the spectrum when I go to my book supplier, the place I usually get all my occult books from, I end up finding myself knee-deep in erotic novels. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against D&D nor erotic novels, they just aren't really relevant to my current journey.

The few parts that are somewhat relevant say that there are three ways to become a werewolf. 

1. You have to be born with the affliction.
2. You have to be bitten by a werewolf.
3. You have to be cursed via a ritual.

Number 3 is sorta what I'm going for although it is useless, to say the least. All the accounts on how this work is contradictory to one another. Some stories tell of mages receiving a magic cream from their teachers, that when rubbed on the body, causes the person to transform into a werewolf. Some tell of amulets or baubles. One of my favorites is one from a guy that supposedly was a very high ranking member in a cult. According to him once you reach a certain level in the cult you are met with a question from your higher-ups. "Do you wanna become a vampire or a werewolf?". If the person were to choose werewolf they were expected to perform horrible acts, abominations in the eyes of God so that they can attract as many demons as possible. These demons will then proceed to possess this person and thus through the power of all these demons inside the person, they will be able to transform into beast willing to kill whomever their master commanded. According to this person, werewolves are the assassins of the cult.

With both books and google being completely useless I turned to my last online source, Reddit. Sadly Reddit was even less help than books and google. If it was apparent to me before it sure as hell is now. Occultists have no real idea of what they are doing. Mages, witches, warlocks, whatever they wanna be called doesn't matter, we are all just children running around in the dark hoping to find something that will help us out. If you ask about shapeshifting on Reddit (Or any online forum) you'll be met by three types of answers: 

1. Magic doesn't have the ability to transform you physically.
2. It is theoretically possible but very improbable. You don't have the knowledge nor the power to do it.
3. I am a shapeshifter.

The answers are conflicting and no help whatsoever. Meaning I'm back at where I started, in the dark with all the other occultists. I have one last place I can turn to and maybe that's what I was destined to do all along. 

Demons. They are known as teachers so maybe they can have the answers I am looking for. First I will have to summon a demon and successfully communicate with... it... her.... him... not sure. Along with the synchronicity I had with the house sitting thing I also had another synchronicity regarding lycanthropy. I had talked to my one friend about how I was looking into lycanthropy and she said that this discord coven/server she belongs to had created a room for shapeshifting the day before. What are the odds?

I went to check the server out but sadly I was quite disappointed with it. It was less about magick and more like a social gathering of people who have an interest in magick and of course, no one truly believed that shapeshifting was possible. The running theory was that it's only possible on the astral plane... So I left the server as soon as I had joined it.

Even in a group of people with the same interests as me I still manage to feel alone...

1. Three Knocks in the Dead of Night

Something strange happened to xombabe and their grandma. One night, they stayed up late watching The Walking Dead. Their grandma had never seen the show before, so they'd spent the past few nights binging late into the night. It was about 4 am when the two turned off the television and the lights and called it a night. Their grandma went into her room, and our Reddit user went to the bathroom to brush their teeth. That was when they heard three light knocks right behind them.

Since the bathroom was connected to their grandmother's room, they assumed it was her checking to see if they were in the bathroom. They answered but didn't get a response. When they left the bathroom and met their grandma in the hallway, she asked what the user wanted. Confused, the writer said that they thought she was the one knocking on the bathroom door. But grandma had also heard three knocks on her door and thought it was the Reddit user. 
As it turns out, they both heard the quiet, distinct knocks. They searched the house to make sure no one had broken in, double-checked the locks, and finally went to bed. Their grandma has one deceased son and one son that has been missing for almost a year now. The user believes that the knocks had something to do with the missing men—perhaps they were trying to reach out to their beloved family.

A few years ago, tauntauntom had just been through a rough divorce from their high school sweetheart. Their best friend had taken to distracting them by taking long road trips. One morning, they were on their way to Carlsbad, New Mexico when they paused alongside a river dam. They were drinking cider and snacking when the pair decided to explore the dried river bed. It was obvious that they weren't the first ones to go trekking through the riverbed. The pair could see human, canine, and feline footprints in the mud. 

They then recall starting to feel an odd sensation, like they were being watched. Their friend caught the writer's attention and called them over. There was a bone in the ground - what they now believe was a spinal cord. At first they thought it was a beef or pork bone on some kind. They continued looking around the river bed when they found a strange rust colored rock sticking out from the sand. When they got closer, they realized it was a half-buried little girl's shoe. The Reddit user stepped back and ran forward, preparing to kick the shoe. Suddenly, they heard a little girl's voice shout "No! Don't, please!" They looked around but didn't see anyone besides themselves, and their friend. The friend asked why they stopped and they replied "Didn't you hear that little girl?". Both confused, they decided to shrug it off and continued on their way. Meanwhile, the feeling that someone was watching them grew stronger. A few minutes later, they spotted another bone. 

Now, they began to get scared. The bone was clearly human. The  friend called the non-emergency police number for Carlsbad, and they reported what they saw.

One week later, they received a call from their friend that the Carlsbad Police had called to report the bones they found were indeed human. During the investigation, the two were questioned and eventually informed that the rust-colored rock actually wasn't a rock at all, but the shell of a pickup truck that had disappeared along with the family of three it had been carrying: a man, a woman, and their daughter. It made the Reddit user think back to the girl's shoe sticking out of the mud, and the voice they heard. Could the little girl have spoken directly to them?

3. Ouija Board Warning

Last year, smol-bean-dean went to a friend's house for a party. Around one in the morning, the group decided to use a Ouija board. The Reddit user was the only one who believed in accounts of the paranormal so she was hesitant when her friends brought out the board. But instead of giving her friends more reasons to tease her when it came to the paranormal, she acted as if she didn't believe in such activity. 

They began asking the board questions. They started with a few normal questions, and nothing really exciting happened. Then someone asked if the spirit wanted to hurt them, and it responded with "only one." The group started to get creeped out at this point—and rightfully so. When one friend asked the natural follow-up question, who, the board spelled out Natasha: the Reddit user's full name. It should be noted that she doesn't care for their full name and has everyone call her Tasha instead. Tasha then left the room while her friends continued playing but found out later that night that the group forgot to say goodbye to the board. Anyone familiar with a Ouija board knows that closing the interaction with the spirit is crucial before stopping use of the board. Needless to say, she was nervous.

After this, Tasha has no memory of the night. She only remembers getting a migraine and nosebleeds. Her friends took videos of her acting strangely, speaking with a changed voice, and a few instances of her talking in other languages. However, that night wasn't the only time this happened. In the days following, Tasha's parents reported the same things happening. Once again, she remembered nothing but migraines and nosebleeds. 

About two weeks later, she was back to normal. Or so she thought. Tasha was suddenly hospitalized for an excruciating pain in her kidney—so bad that it almost shut down. The doctors tried everything but couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then, on the day she were scheduled for surgery, the pain suddenly stopped. One day later, Tasha was released. 

Since that incident, she has never felt like she was truly alone. Sometimes, she feels someone grabbing her hands or neck, making it difficult to breathe. Tasha has always believed in the paranormal, but this experience made it far more real for her.

4. Scares at the Nursing Home

Swagman is a dietary aide at a nursing home for people with Alzheimer's, and they have had some seriously scary encounters while working there. Their job mainly consists of  washing dishes, and they're normally standing right next to the dishwasher which makes it difficult to hear what people are saying. 

On numerous occasions, they have been by the dishwasher and heard someone talking to them even though they knew no one was nearby. 

One night, the writer went to collect food carts in one of their units, alone. The whole time they were in the unit, they felt like they were being followed. Fearing what they might see, they never turned around. Eventually, they pulled off, pretending to use the bathroom. They waited there for about five minutes before peering into the hallway where they'd just been. There, they saw a patient they recognized. At first, this made them feel better, but soon, they realized that it was a patient who had died three days prior in a unit near the kitchen. 

The user also relayed a second experience they had while washing the dishes on a different day. They asked the person they were washing with if he could go into Unit A and get the food carts. The third person who normally washed with them had already left for the day, leaving the writer alone. 

Suddenly, they heard a voice in their ear. They turned around, but no one was there. They even went into the hallway, but still saw nothing. As they returned to washing the dishes, it happened again. The second time, they realized it was the voice of their great-grandma who passed away seven years ago. Very spooky.

5. Threatening Footsteps in the Country
In 2013, Xombabe and her friends decided to make a Ouija board. Her best friend lives about a 45 minute drive from the closest store and nearest town, so there wasn't much to do. They'd spent the day watching movies but eventually got bored, so the user, her friend, the friend's boyfriend and his friend decided to make the board. 

About a week before they made the board, the two friends had been staying alone at the house when the Reddit writer woke at 6 am to the sound of heavy footsteps in the hallway nearing the bedroom. She tried to wake her friend, but it was no use - she was a heavy sleeper. The footsteps stopped right outside the door. The writer waited, holding her breath, for the door to open, but it never did. The next few hours she spent awake, waiting for something to happen. When both girls were finally awake by 11 that morning, before either left the room, she told her friend what had happened the night before. 

And what her friend said in response chilled her to the bone. She said that for years she'd been hearing the same footsteps and that they had always stopped right outside her bedroom. No one else had heard the footsteps until the writer. 

That night, they made their Ouija board. The group were messing around with it, not getting any real responses when they suddenly heard a loud bang in the back on the house. They decided to stop for the night. The friend left to drive the other two home, leaving the Reddit user alone at the house. 

Being alone after hearing the loud noise and the footsteps made her nervous so she turned on the television for a distraction while she waited for her friend to return. In the middle of the opening credits, the television froze and started making loud buzzing noises. She tried to turn off the TV, but the remote wouldn't work. Then she tried unplugging it, but it kept going. 

Thoroughly freaked out, she went outside to wait for her friend to get back. At this point, she had started shaking and crying and texted her friend explaining what had happened. Then the dogs started barking at the living room door, viciously growling and snarling like they saw something no human could. 

Thirty minutes later, her friend finally arrived back home. Both girls could hear the television from the porch, but when they went inside, it had completely shut off and was still unplugged. Neither are sure exactly what happened, but they're certain is was some kind of malevolent spirit. 

"Get up" My dad yelled into my room and so I did.
A normal day, as I get some more sleep on the bus to school. The ride there like a long and peaceful ride and slip in and out of sleep. The birds peacefully about something and my teacher talks about something. The day went normal. Then I met a friend in the restroom, and they said,
            "That substitute creeps me out. He keeps staring at me and others." 
I was alarmed. I've heard of terrible teachers who would do things to their students in the past. But I never thought one would ever be this close to me; Across the hall 'teaching'. I returned to class; The humdrum pace of the day continued as he slipped my mind. Then recess came.
"You gotta walk a lap mister!"
My teacher reminded me because I got in trouble the previous day. So I did, thinking about various things but not that awful rumor. I reached the last segment, one straight shot and I'll be free. And then I saw him just standing there under a tree. All I could make out is that he wearing a black outfit, because of the sun and me being near-sighted. Not the facial expression or the movement of his eyes, Just a then white man wearing a black outfit.
I'm at a walking speed as the rumors popped back into my brain. TMy pace quickly changed into speed-walking as the anxiety or the gaze making me increasingly uncomfortable. uncomfortable changed to unbearable causing me to give up on trying to be polite or subtle and just ran to safe ground. Slowing down once I reached the real teachers talking about their day and gossiping. So I sat on the nearby bench thinking about what just happened. 
Was it nothing? Was it me assuming the worst? Or was I right, were my friends right?
Some short unknown amount of time I stopped and started hanging out with my friends. Not talking about him.
Later that same recess a rumor was spreading he got fired. Having him out of the building did make me feel safer but it also made me slightly more uneasy. If he got fired that means he probably was staring at kids winch means he was staring at me.
But the day went by turning into months then years. Him and that encounter crept into my mind as an odd event that occurred during 6th grade. Then I asked a friend if she remembers him.
"Yeah I do, I heard he tried to kidnap a kid," she said.
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah" she replied before needing to walk away to lunch and so I did too and sat alone and not with my friend because she is in another class. And I thought about what just transpired.
This was most likely the reason for him getting fired if it is true. He may have even got sent to jail. This was weird and scary to learn. I was near him. I may have just walked by him with him staring at me. The fact that I was feet away from him, in the same building as him even. Did frighted me. But maybe all the rumors were wrong. The teacher may not have even been fired and if he did it was just because he was bad at teaching. But I doubt that. I may not have been scarred for my life, but I did have a reminder that every day you may encounter danger.
Well that is what I thought after writing a story on Reddit and later for school. Writing this story obviously reminded me of this occurrence so I asked my friend and told her a much shorter and simpler version of this. And the only new info she had was that she heard he got arrested and/or fired for attempted solicitation of a minor. Which does make more sense then him kidnapping. But it could be some combination of the two, in fact I think it is. And I do stand by my earlier statement obviously.
