Vesta was strangely similar and very different to Hestia, physically they looked like twins, which I suppose in a way they were. But psychologically, is where the differences started. Hestia was more openly friendly, Vesta was… I don't know? more serious? 















It was basically like talking to a more serious and to the point Hestia, it was weird l, because at times I would forget who I was talking to. 
















"Did you really betray the Greeks?" Vesta asked.

















"No, they simply chose to believe I did… and now I'm being hunted," I sighed, with the hauntingly painful thought of my sister, shooting at me, with the intent to kill…. "The only ones that believed in me, were… Hestia, Hades and Persephone,"


















"I see," Vesta smiled, "No wonder you feel so comfortable with me,"

















"I do, but it's also weird, not gonna lie," I chuckled.


















"I suppose it can be," Vesta admitted with a chuckle of her own, "But it is what it is,"

















"So what now?" I asked her.















"Well, now we talk to Jupiter…" Vesta answered, "He will let you know if you have asylum with us or not, if you do… I suppose you will have to take a realm and represent us,"


















"Just like that?" What's up with people offering realms left and right.


















"Well, I don't know how the Greeks do it, but here we don't have a God for each realm, and it's not everyday a God without a realm appears out of thin air," Vesta clarified, "Many of us have to fill for realms we don't even have a connection for, like poor Trivia,"

















"I see… but still, isn't that a bit… too trusting?" I mean, what was to say I would not betray them at any giving time.















"Well… in a way it is, but how can you truly trust someone if you don't give them a chance," Vesta smiled, "Sometimes we have go burn ourselves to see if someone is trustworthy or not,"

















That was very deep, and somewhat risky, but I suppose I understood her reasoning, "I see, well…. Before we go, I have a question, on the scale of one to ten, how likely is Jupiter to smite me?"
















"Frankly? A two," Vesta answered, her eyes shining with mild amusement, "He is not as aggressive as his Greek aspect,"
















Well, ain't that a relief, "I see,"















"Talking about aspects… a little rule we have here is… don't tell the demigods about our counterparts," Vesta said, her tone carrying more weight than before, "Human opinion alters our form, and gives us a very bad headache, in your case as a god you don't really affect us, but the kids…. they would give all of us a massive headache,"



































"Very well," I nodded, taking note of that if I ever needed to fight the Roman pantheon.
















"Now follow me, I already informed Jupiter of your presence, and he wants to meet you," Vesta informed me.















"Lead the way," I bowed for dramatic purposes, wondering how this meeting would go.

"Adam, the Greek traitor," Jupiter greeted, and I wondered was the traitor part necessary…

















"Jupiter the king of the Roman pantheon," I smiled.

















"Vesta told me you were… spying on our kids," Jupiter muttered, his eyes narrowing at me in something akin to anger, making me flinch inwardly at least, the tension was so big I could probably cut it with a butter knife.



















"Spying is a big word… I was simply curious about the Roman pantheon, and wanted to see if they would offer me asylum," I lied.


















"So I was told," Jupiter sighed, "But before I give you an answer," as soon as he said that, a god appeared by his side, looking oddly familiar, "Phoebus, check if he lies…" there was a not so hidden threat under that, that if I lied I would die. 

















"I will answer your questions to the best of my ability," I smiled, feeling emotionally constipated at the fact I was facing Apollo's Roman aspect.




















"Did you betray the Greeks?" Jupiter asked.

















Going for the big boy questions I see, "No, they betrayed me, believing an idiot over me,"

















"He says the truth, father," Phoebus stated.


















"Do you have any ulterior motives that can hurt us?" Jupiter asked, and for a moment I froze…. was trying to merge Hestia and Vesta an ulterior motive?

















"No," I answered, ready to run if that turned out to be a lie. I wasn't sure myself, which is why I was ready to run like a bitch.


















"He says the truth, father," Phoebus stated once again, much to my relief.
















"Last question, would you consider taking a role in our pantheon?" Jupiter asked. This was feeling remarkably like a job interview.















"I would… as long as I'm free to travel… I have friends around the world," I answered.
















Jupiter looked at Phoebus who nodded, "Very well, that seems like a reasonable request, you see as Vesta has told you… we have various realms without gods, some with gods that don't have a real connection to them, like Trivia, she is the goddess of crossroads… but we had to appoint her the realm of Magic, to which she has no connection,"
















"I see," I nodded.















"Then we have other realms that have no gods managing them…." Jupiter sighed… and yes, this was definitely a Job interview, "So… here is my offer, we will offer you asylum, if… you agree to become a Roman god,"
















"And what am I now?" I asked, with mild curiosity.

















"A pantheonless God," Jupiter answered, "Which is why, I want you to work with us," how in the fuck where Zeus and him the same being…. they shared nothing in common, well… maybe their promiscuity… but besides that, nothing!
















"Very well… I accept the deal," I stated, if this was going to give me power like the super grandmas said… I would be more than happy to take it.
















"Very well," Jupiter nodded, "Call the the Parcae… we need to know what realms can he manage,"
















Who knew becoming a God was so stupidly easy. I have to admit, I was happy… to have this golden opportunity to prank new victims, all the Roman children and some gods would suffer at the hands of Adam the pranking master!

Ambrosius' act of sinking an island, about the size of Hispaniola, did not go unnoticed. Many deities took notice of the major storm that appeared out of nowhere in the Sea of Monsters. At first, many thought that someone in that general area had angered Zeus to the extreme.
However once the sea rose into the air to form a wall miles high surrounding a specific island, they knew that this was no act of the King of Gods, nor was it an act of the Lord of the Seas, for neither Neptune or Poseidon would use such a crude method to sink an island. While Poseidon and Neptune don't make it a habit of sinking islands, they both have still done it at least once. Both times that an island has sunk due to either Neptune or Poseidon, it was due to them quite literally sinking the island, with no storms or massive waves of water involved.
Having figured out that neither Zeus nor Neptune/Poseidon were the ones responsible for it, they looked to the next possible options. It didn't take them long to figure out that Ambrosius was the one responsible for it.
High up in the sky of New York City, a mountain floats over it. This mountain does not connect with the ground and cannot be detected by mortals due to the Mist, but is connected to the mortal world by a space elevator. It hovers above the Empire State building. It possibly exists in another dimension, due to it floating with its great mass over a mortal city undetected.
At the top of it is a large city containing the palaces for the Olympian gods, goddesses, and residences for many minor gods, other creatures and beings of Greek and Roman mythology. It is here that the gods commune, each having a massive throne, which are collectively arranged in a reversed U shape.
As the seat of power of the Olympian gods it is of vital importance. Should the thrones be destroyed, Olympus would crumble and the power of the gods would be severely weakened, making them vulnerable to their enemies. In theory, if it were destroyed and the Olympians regained enough strength, it could be reformed. In the meantime, they would be vulnerable to their enemies. It is unknown how the destruction of Olympus would affect the minor gods.
Currently in the throne room of Olympus, also known as the Hall of the Gods, the Major Olympian gods sit together holding a meeting in light of recent events.
The Thrones of the gods stand in a U around a hearth, starting with Zeus/Jupiter and Poseidon/Neptune's thrones as they are the most powerful Greek/Roman gods. Normally Hades/Pluto does not have a throne, however as he is present at this meeting a guest throne has been prepared. From Zeus/Jupiter and Poseidon/Neptune's thrones the goddesses sit on the left side of the hearth and the other gods sit on the right side, while in the center Hestia sits, tending to the hearth. High above, the blue ceiling can be seen glittering with constellations.
"Does anybody know who caused that island to sink and why?" asks Zeus.
Before he can answer however, Neptune arrives in a swirl of sea water and takes his seat. Seeing Poseidon in his Roman aspect startles the other deities a bit, before they too quickly change into their respective Roman aspects.
"*Brother*" says Jupiter in latin as he looks at Neptune "*it is nice of you to finally join us.*"
"*Forgive my late arrival. Before arriving here, I found myself somewhere in the Sea of Monsters. I believe that as Poseidon I had business there before Ambrosius' actions caused me to permanently settle as Neptune.*" replies Neptune in latin.
"*Interesting.*" says Juno "*I had expected that the Ambrosius had a hand in the island's sinking. However, going by the proud smile on your face, it is quite evident that he himself is the cause of the island's destruction.*"
Hearing her words, the throne room explodes into sounds of protest as the Roman deities struggle with believing her claim that Ambrosius managed to complete a feat on par with Neptune himself. However, even while they doubt, they can't help but notice the evidence staring them in the face.
While the gods are normally in harmony with both of their forms, this can change if their Greek and Roman children begin to know about, resent, and finally declare war on each other. Because both camps would call their godly parents for help, both their Roman and Greek forms would be at odds with each other, giving the gods splitting headaches, indecision, and focus problems.
They are also slightly schizophrenic tendencies. If, for example, a god in his Roman aspect appears before a demigod who thinks about the god in his Greek aspect, the god's form will flicker back and forth from his Roman and Greek forms, causing intense headaches until the god is able to settle back into one form.
The gods' different aspects also have very little knowledge of the actions of the other. Mars, for example, has no recollection of ever fighting Percy Jackson while he was Ares, his Greek form.
However, when an individual god's child shows or highlights a brave act, or impressive feat, they will settle into one aspect of themselves. This easily explains why Poseidon arrived as Neptune instead of Poseidon.
Desiring order, Jupiter causes a thunderclap, quickly silencing the room.
"*Now that you are all acting like the gods you are, we can discuss this in an orderly fashion. I do not see why you are all appalled. Him and Azula were specifically born to be as powerful as gods without the constraints of the divine laws hindering them. They were made to guide Rome in the upcoming trials.*" says Jupiter
"*Father, while that is true, their growth in terms of power is faster than I predicted*" replies Apollo
"*Even as the god of prophecy, you are not infallible my son. You have made mistakes before on topics that you have had more knowledge on. It is not surprising that you would make a mistake on a more obscure topic such as this.*" replies Jupiter
"*Father is correct brother.*" speaks Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt, the moon, woodlands and childbirth.
"*Ambrosius and Azula cannot be expected to abide by the norm. They do not fall under any conventional category, supernatural or otherwise.*" she says.
Apollo makes to speak, however he is interrupted by Mars, also known as Ares to the greeks.
"*Minerva, what did you find out with your research?*" he asks a distracted Minerva.
Hearing Mars' question, Minerva, Athena's Roman aspect, is knocked out of her daydream, and takes a second to gather herself before answering.
"*Well, as far as I can gather, they will reach their peak at around twenty five years old. It will also be when they will stop aging. Other than that, Ambrosius seems to indeed be a reincarnated hero. Pluto and I believe that he is a reincarnated Romulus.*" she answers.
Hearing the name of Rome's founder, the hall becomes quiet as the gods process what they have been told. After a few seconds, Mars can't help but lean forward and ask.
"*What? How?*"
This time it's Pluto, God of the Dead, Wealth, and the Underworld who answers.
"*While it is true that Romulus was deitified by Rome after his death, the truth of the matter is that he never accepted godhood, choosing instead to go to Elysium and being reborn sometime in the future.*" he says.
"*But he never did choose to be reborn. We had all thought that he was satisfied with Elysium and wouldn't try to reach the Isle of the Blessed.*" answers Mercury, Hermes' Roman aspect.
"*You are correct, to a certain extent. Sixteen years ago, he vied for rebirth and was instantly accepted. I never knew because I had still been swamped by the paperwork from the last world war. It was not until Minerva brought the possibility of Ambrosius' rebirth did I look for souls that were reborn, and found Romulus' name in the list.*" replies Pluto.
Mars stares at him for a few seconds, contemplating what he's heard, before letting out a deep and mirthful laugh.
"*Heh, I can't believe that the little brat would go for rebirth without informing me, his old man. Even a little prayer would have sufficed in letting me know. That does explain a lot of questions about him though.*" says Mars as he gathers himself.
"*Indeed it does*" says Juno "*While his nature is different from his previous reincarnation, the way he carries himself is very reminiscent of Romulus' self confident and imperial demeanor.*"
"*I have to somewhat disagree.*" interjects Diana. "*While he is more laidback and far calmer than Romulus, we can still see the bleeding effect from being the reincarnation of Romulus. I have made stops to the Legion with my huntresses. The way he commands them in battle, trains them, and his treatment of his enemies is an almost perfect emulation of Romulus' regal demeanor, and far too natural to be anything less than the original."
"*While this is fascinating, is no one going to address the elephant in the room?*" asks Apollo.
"*Yes. We need to talk about how my daughter's boyfriend almost killed himself with that stunt. It would have been such a shame to break up such a power couple. Honestly, I haven't been excited about a pair of lovers tearing things up together since Helen and Paris.*" says Venus, also known as Aphrodite.
Hearing her speak, the other gods can't help but roll their eyes at her. Unlike the other Olympians, Venus does not suffer from having more than aspect, as love is the same universally.
"*Indeed*" says Jupiter as he ignores Venus. "*That display of power almost killed him. While it is true that he is three quarters god, his body cannot endure channeling the full might of an Olympian, especially not one as powerful as you brother.*"
"*What are some of the repercussions that we can expect him to suffer from this?*" asks Neptune.
"*Well*" begins Apollo "*the real question is, is he in a safe location? Because after channeling that much power, he will be in a coma until his body recovers.*"
"*He will be fine. I had an atlantean magician use his boat to transfer him and his companions to New Rome.*" replies Neptune.
"*Good. Because I don't know how long he will be in the coma. Other than that, you can expect him to have to retrain his powers, they will be more powerful now that the potency in his divinity blood has increased.
What he did was literally burn out part of his mortality with divinity to achieve that level of power. Also, wielding that trident did not do him any favors.
All it achieved was make it easier for him to use his divine powers. If he ever pulls a stunt like that again, the divinity in his blood will completely burn out his mortality, and his body will explode from the sheer amount of power that he is channeling. You have to remember that his body is very much a mortal one.*" explains Apollo

Hidden inside a yacht, in the room of a certain demigod son of Hermes, lies a sarcophagus that makes the room colder and darker. In the sarcophagus, the remains of the Titan Lord Kronos slowly regenerates as more and more greek demigods renounce the gods and join his side.
Currently, the Titan Lord of time is contemplating a problem that has just made itself known. Three days ago a massive storm struck the Sea of Monsters and almost killed Perseus and his friends, luckily Poseidon intervened and saved him. At first he thought that it was the work of his traitorous son Poseidon. However, after carefully examining the residual divine energy that spread out, he was able to determine that the storm was most likely the result of a demigod child of Poseidon's Roman aspect.
At first he was troubled by who it could possibly be, however he quickly remembered receiving reports of a Roman demigod son of Neptune making a name for himself by turning the third cohort into a better cohort, surpassing even the first cohort in ability, whether it be in skill, discipline, or combat prowess. Then that very same centurion became praetor, and things went downhill from there.
It started out as the legion hunting down monsters, whether they be hordes or individuals such as chimera. Then they started attacking Kronos' budding army in the west, and soon enough Mount Othrys became the only safe place for his growing army, that is now too small to attack New Rome.
Originally Kronos had planned to send the bulk of his forces to attack the Greeks, but after Ambrosius' latest stunt he decided to send the bulk to attack the Romans along with a few titans, including Krios, Koios, and Perses.
Originally he didn't want to remove Perses from Tartarus due to his love for wanton destruction, but it seems as if he will have to. As far as Kronos is concerned, the world will be his even if he has to rebuild it from the ashes piece by burned piece.

Dying and meeting a ROB was interesting. However like Dumbledore said, "After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." And for me that was literally the truth. CYOA, SI, Jumpchain

THE SEVEN PLANET'S 

Everyone on the planet has a different leaders such as Kings and Queen. Like the 'Earth' is just a normal planet with many people living in peace and happy, but they have no king and queen. Their leader is called the President, there is only one president on earth, unlike the others. 


'The seven classical planets' or 'seven sacred luminaries' are the seven moving astronimical object in the sky visible to the naked eye. The moon, Mercury, Venus and the Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. 

'Mercury' is the smallest and closest planet to the Sun in the Solar System. I was named after the Roman god Mercury. Small planets but strong forces and skilled fighting. They are called barbarians 'Barbaro'. 

'Venus' is the second planet from the Sun. It is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. The inhabitants of this planet are beautiful, helpful and loving

'Earth' is the third planet form the Sun. its only planet know to have an atmosphere containing free oxygen, oceans of water on its surface. They are called mortal because they are only normal human beings. 

'Mars' is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, being larger than only mercury.  They are called 'GOD OF WAR' because they love trouble.

'Jupiter' is the fifth planet from the Sun and ang largest in the Solar System. They are the quierest planet because they are just like humans on earth but they have power 'Diwata'

'Saturn' is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-Largest in the solar system. This is where the so called 'Alien' lives, because he has a strange appearance. 

'Uranus' is the seventh planet from the Sun. Its name is a reference to the Greek God of the sky. They are the high planet because they are the 'God'. 

All the planet's live vigorously and peacefully. They have their own livehood and the others have family and children. But in spite of all this their world will be destroyed. People, Fairies, Barbarians and others will get into trouble.

   
   Usually it was Chaos who responded to threats of such a nature, who roared to the surface with the mist around me, thunder and lightning forming a storm in my hair, falling stars shooting from the neckline of my gown as she became herself through me.
   She didn't have time to respond this round, however. I think I knew what was coming and had a head of fury on even before Juno opened her ugly, hurtful mouth and said what she just said about Delilah. About my baby sister. Screw Destiny and her geas. Like I needed it to take Delilah's side. Besides, as far as I was concerned, it took a menace to know one.
   So, when I struck out at the Roman goddess, it was me and me alone who hit her full in the chest with a push of rage filled energy, who slammed her backward into the gods crowding behind her, to stumble over Mercury and Jupiter and to fall heavily into the marble railing of the newly restored bridge.
   It shook me, the violence of my reaction, and cooled my temper enough Chaos hissed at me. Not in regret I'd acted, but that I'd retreated. This violence wasn't me, wasn't like me. But all I wanted to do as I stood there, shaking with my hands in fists at my sides, wondering where the soft and kind Eve had gone, the girl who couldn't handle confrontation let alone harsh emotion aimed in her direction, was lunge for Juno's throat.
   Long, long gone, that girl. In her place? Well, I wasn't sure I knew who I was anymore. And no blaming Chaos, either.
   Jupiter reacted, though with a faintly disdainful sniff for his mate. A look that flashed instantly to ire and constructed fury. Meant to add to the show of the booming recoil of his own power echoing back from the depths of his realm to strike at me.
   Chaos waved off his meager attempt to harm us, the mist uncoiling to absorb the Roman leader's energy with that same soft, almost delicate sip I'd used on the former Death, Kael. But this was a god she tasted, not an angel of Death who falsely claimed the uneasy mantle of the Grim Reaper. The sensation was entirely different, at once more satisfying for the deep well of power at his disposal, tied as it was to the realm around us. A realm that, like all the others, had a soul of its own that welcomed me in a way that made it almost excusable, this taste of who Jupiter was. But, less delightful and enjoyable for the force of will behind it and the distasteful residue left in the aftermath by his centuries of corruption and greed.
   It took us only the briefest of sips to know just how horrible he truly was. To inhale the oily rot of the decaying core of what made up Jupiter . And it was then I realized only the realm itself held the Pantheon together and that, to my utter shock and disillusionment, even gods could turn with enough time and taint.
   Not that I should have stood there, gaping at him while he, in turn, gaped back at me. I'd felt the evil in my former mother, in the goddess Isis. But hers was the darkness of greed and desire, of lust for power. Jupiter's black soul reeked of ancient fear and wounds left to gangrene.
   Did they know, his followers? The realm certainly did. And as I faced off with him, stared him down and let him see I knew-I knew-what he was, registering his understanding and loathing, I realized there was a purpose to the bridge's collapse. Rome was meant to fall. And I'd saved it.
   At what cost? And what did Delilah have to do with the fact Creation just did its best to eliminate one of its own Pantheons?
   It felt like an eternity I stood there, fighting the weight of understanding from one heartbeat to the next quivering breath. All while Chaos and the mist tasted the taint running through the threads of the Pantheon. To each and every god and goddess. How the tendrils of black fed into the soul of the realm itself, drawing on its purity and peace like a cancerous growth devouring its host.
   I had to right this wrong I'd just halted, had to allow the Pantheon to crumble. My foot lifted, my retreat half begun, unable to stop myself from releasing that which was meant to die. And didn't get to finish that back step, not when the door to Rome opened and Life and Death passed through.
   I felt them come, heart pounding, Chaos retreating with a grumbling dissatisfaction that hurt far worse than any false slurs against my sister. My body ached from the agony of what I'd done out of ignorance and a misplaced sense of purpose while I turned in what felt like slow motion to tell Seshat and Nero what I'd discovered.
   My brother's blue eyes caught mine, concerned. Seshat ignored me as she faced off with Jupiter herself while I stood, unable to speak or function as Life spoke.
   "Stand down, Rome," she said, kind and sweet but full of command.
   "I will not." The lord of the realm's belligerence couldn't hide his black heart from me any longer. How could they not see him as he was? The decay showed through his aura, leaking vile ichor into the air around him in a cloud of murk and filth. I shuddered and looked away, now terrified I'd never see him any other way again. We had to let Rome fall.
   "That thing." Juno was just as bad, wasn't she? She jabbed a shaking finger at Delilah, the tip of it spewing emotional vitriol like a plume of green venom that stained the edges of her aura. I needed to show Nero but she was still talking and I had as yet to regain my voice. "That thing," she repeated, calmer now, her own commanding tone returned as she seized her temper and used it, "has attacked our realm and must be destroyed."
   "Says you." Seth's giant voice boomed through his fangs, accented with the hiss of steam from his curved nostrils. Same head as he wore on his human body, that giant muzzle, those curving horns, that scar over one eye giving him a swashbuckling appearance. But so much more when mounted on the body of a dragon. Terrible and beautiful and frightening, even to me. Delilah looked up at him as he spoke and giggled behind her small hands before patting his cupped claws like he was her favorite puppy dog. "I call her appearance coincidence."
   Nice try, but even I didn't buy that. And as Jupiter railed against Seth's statement, I began to return to myself, to retreat from the vision of who the Roman leader was beneath the veneer of perfection, reclaiming my voice and my control while he once more solidified into handsome human appearance.
   "Is it just coincidence," Jupiter snarled, "this same creature was present at the destruction of the temple of Ra?"
   The other gods and goddesses muttered, strings of darkness tying them to their master. I blinked away the last of the vision of their truth even as I pulled myself together, knowing blurting out anything to do with what I'd just seen would get me nowhere.
   And yet, I had to find a way to make right what I'd done. Thwarting Creation's need meant I'd doomed the soul of this realm. Unknowing, yes, but I'd done it. To save my sister? Or to save Rome?
   Seshat turned to me, eyes troubled. "Chaos," she said, "he has a point." One hand rose, cutting me off before I could tell her to go to hell in a surge of anger that was my persona and me in unison. That brought me back the rest of the way until I could breathe again and time moved as it should. "Though I don't believe Delilah's actions are meant to harm, and, in fact, led to a positive outcome in Egypt, what happened here can be seen as an open attack on this Pantheon."
   I have to talk to you, I sent to her, tight and harsh. "Since no one felt her power," I said, "either in Egypt or here in Rome," I shot everyone in view a look and none of them could deny my truth, "the idea that a small girl had anything to do with either event is unlikely and, frankly, laughable." I shrugged. "Prove otherwise and I'll be happy to hand her over."
   They couldn't, of course. Because I was right. If Delilah was behind these two incidents, there wasn't a trace of her intervention outside her physical appearance. In fact, I was pretty sure now the attack on Rome came from Creation itself, if not from the mist I commanded between realms. And it was likely to me Egypt suffered the same attention. The fact wasn't lost on me that my sister might be tied to Creation, too, though. I wasn't stupid, thank you. But I was positive now, seeing what I'd seen, feeling what I'd felt of Jupiter and his decaying soul-my sister wasn't at fault for anything.
   At this point, if it was the mist behind this-at Creation's bidding or not-I was the one at fault. Chaos. And they had every right to fear me as had been all along. Funny how I couldn't bring myself to feel badly, though, if that were the case. I was over judging myself for how Creation made me.
   There was nothing Jupiter could say to argue with me. Not he or his cruel and vile wife or the other gods and goddesses so twisted by the horror of what Rome's leadership had become.
   "Nothing?" I tossed my hair, wishing for the storm of Chaos and only succeeding in making a bigger mess of my collapsed updo. Whatever. They could judge my appearance all they wanted. I really didn't care at this point. "Then we're leaving. Count yourself lucky, lord of Rome, Chaos was here to help you when your Pantheon was falling apart."
   Did he know his own evil? As his eyes locked on mine, I felt the worst of all of this travesty of Creation. He didn't. He truly believed in himself and his Pantheon. And that made what I needed to do all the harder.
   I could have ended it right there and then and likely would have, regrets and consequences aside, if I'd sensed understanding from him. But I just couldn't bring myself to end what needed to die when faced with such delusion.
   Instead, I reached out to the realm's soul and did my best to apologize for stopping what I'd done, feeling its forgiveness and wondering how I was going to make this right.
   Because as I gestured for Seth to leave with Delilah, I knew there was nothing I could do at this point that wouldn't be seen as Chaos doing exactly what the gods feared all along. Taking down Rome, following through with Creation's plan? I'd never convince them it wasn't me on a rampage.
   Heart aching for the realm's soul, feeling the seething of the Roman gods focused on me me, I left the Pantheon behind, having never felt so horrible in my entire life.

While Nero’s hand grasped my arm and pulled me forcefully away, I knew the truth. The old man’s eyes fluttered, opened. And he smiled at me. Alive. Healthy. Full of Life when his fate was Death.
