I'm going to be completly honest. This is actually bad it doesn't make sense and I don't recommend reading it. That's it.

I actually don't know much I should know for the Warhammer 40k to write fanfiction for it but whatever. If I don't something or I get something wrong don't get mad. It's for the story. I am going to change the lore a lot. This is going probably a very overpowered primarch story. Overpowered humanity. Crossover technology.

Dive into canon friendly tales from the expanded universe; a continuous project following various chapters and crews such as; Space Marines, Rogue Traders and Kill Teams.

- Translate into an alternate universe to face new races. 
- Rebel Chapters are hidden amongst the Imperium planning a coup. 
- Face the epidemic Vamprus virus as it turns those infected into cannibalistic savages. 
- Descriptions and background of new Chapters, Ordo, Kill Teams, Regiments, etc. 

Each Space Marine Chapter, Ordo, Regiment, short story, etc added are original ideas created and written by Henry Farquhar.

A warhammer 40k story with completely original characters and a scratch built society within the imperium of man

In the middle ages, at the foot of the Shadow Mountain.
There were dozens of guests in a small green skin tribe.
The green skin members of this tribe had been watching this early in the morning as dozens of poor relatives, dressed in rags and lacking even a few teeth, swaggered into their tribe. They grabbed and ate the Warhammer 40K that had grown out of the ground.
No Green skins dared to stop their kind.
That was because these scoundrels were using the names of brother What and brother Hell.
"We are the green dwarfs who are favored by brother What and brother Hell!" These scoundrels kicked a few green skins that were trying to stop them away and then grabbed their necks. They said fiercely, "Do you know? Our Warhammer 40K was snatched away by the Chaos Fiend. After brother What and brother Hell found out, they helped us snatch them back!"
"Not only did Brother What and brother Hell help us snatch back our Warhammer 40K, but they also said that they would take us to launch a great WAAAGH that would sweep through the entire world!"
To the green skins, the word WAAAGH seemed to have magical power.
Hence, everyone could only watch helplessly as the dozens of their kind ate up all the Warhammer 40K in their tribe. Then, they swaggered around and drank up all the mushroom wine that had been stored up in their tribe for a long time.
In the end, the dozens of green skins began to transform into strong, tall, and burly green skins under the watchful eyes of the entire tribe's green skin.
Among them, the strongest one was a green skin who called himself 'Gangba'.
The originally very strong green skin's body size had doubled.
It lifted the heaviest iron hammer in the tribe easily under the watchful eyes of its kind.
Carrying the huge war hammer, Gangba began to sing.
"Oh, Brother What is the most brutal!"
"Oh, brother Hell is the most cunning!"
"The brutal brother What wants to lead us to Big WAAAGH!"
"The cunning brother Hell will lead us to Big WAAAGH!"
"A Chaos Devil, he wants to snatch our Warhammer 40K... brother What and Brother Hell appeared and beat him up!"
"The demon was beaten until he cried! The demon was beaten until he cried!"
His voice was ear-piercing and unpleasant to the ears, but for some reason, all the other green skins present listened attentively as if they were listening to a concert.
In the end, the concert changed from a solo performance to a chorus. Hundreds of green skins, thousands of goblins, and thousands of little farts began to jump around and sing happily.
"Oh, brother What is the most brutal..."
"Oh..."
Every green skin present began to believe a fact in the chorus. A Chaos Demon was trying to rob their Warhammer 40K. Then, brother What and Brother Hell pinned him to the ground and beat him up. The Demon was beaten until he cried!
Moreover, they began to believe that they had seen it with their own eyes!
... ... ..
Chu Weiwei lowered her head slightly and opened the boxes one by one.
She was already familiar with this sort of thing and was rather experienced.
Hence, in less than ten minutes, the boxes on the ground were opened one after another.
As she followed the instructions of the two-headed Federal Empire player, she sold all the items, raw materials, and equipment that were below gold-grade to the Realm of Nightmare.
She looked at the notifications of tips from her Mark of Nightmare.
As the number of tips continued to increase, Chu Weiwei eventually received a nightmare notification: you have accumulated more than 10,000 nightmare points through tips!

Looking at the notification, Chu Weiwei quickly lowered her head to hide her embarrassment.
However, Ling Pingan did not notice this at all. He was currently immersed in the joy of getting out of Misfortune Chief and was in Lucky Emperor.
Even though he was relying on others to get these.
"The lucky one is indeed lucky!" Ling Pingan praised, "Her luck…was indeed good!"
Out of the 1,000 treasure chests, Chu Weiwei had already opened 80-90% of them.
Among them, there were at least 100 pieces of silver-grade and Black-iron equipment.
There was also a mythical-graded legendary accessory, which was what Ling Pingan needed the most right now.
He looked at the colorful equipment lying in his luggage, and he was so delighted that he almost lost himself.
"That's great!" He said proudly, "With this, my peace chariot 2.0 will have hope!"
That was a nightmare item called the Dimensional Engine.
According to the description of the Legend of Nightmare, the engine belonged to Nurgle, the God of motive power. He obtained this powerful engine from the ruins of a human empire. Because of your magnanimity, Nurgle, the God of motive power, offered it to you as a tribute.
You could install it on your vehicle, or you could use it as the core power of the ship.
Just looking at these descriptions, Ling Pingan was elated. He felt that a good person was indeed rewarded!
The only problem was that this engine needed an item called the 'Dimension Stone' as fuel.
The dimension stone was for sale in the nightmare shop, but it was a little expensive. One-piece cost 5,000 points!
"Senior..." at this time, Chu Weiwei finally opened all the treasure chests.
She stood weakly in front of Ling Pingan and bowed. "On behalf of this world and everyone in our world, I thank you!"
She said seriously, "You have saved all of us!"
That was the truth. Chu Weiwei had already received a hint from the Mark of Nightmare: the God of motive power of all beings had already left the nightmare world.
The father of plague had left this nightmare world.
The father of plague had given up all his facilities in this world!
The father of plague had destroyed this world's space-time coordinates!
Congratulations! Nightmare game participant PrettyWeiwei, you witnessed the entire process of the world being saved.
You witnessed an epic legend!
You successfully survived the gods' war.
Your Golden Main Storyline Quest: Banish Chaos has been completed.
Because you did not participate in the battle and did not cause any damage either.
So, you can only get the lowest reward.
Because of your gold-grade milestone of the nightmare: An eye for an eye, the Ream of Nightmare will treat you as if you have completed all the quests!
You can choose to end the quest in this world immediately, or you can choose to stay in this world for another three hours.
Ling Pingan listened and chuckled.
That was because, from the perspective of the game, he had indeed saved this dungeon.
Therefore, he accepted this little girl's flattery with peace of mind. He even laughed out loud. "This is what I should do!"
"Every citizen of the Federal Empire will do the same as me!"
Chu Weiwei listened and was filled with respect.
She thought to herself, "Senior expert, you are indeed a senior expert!"
Thus, Chu Weiwei bowed deeply. "Please accept my humble bow for no matter what!"
Ling Pingan's smile was brighter!


As the owner of an ordinary bookstore, Ling PingAn’s biggest wish was to muddle through life and do absolutely nothing.

Only Volume I and II are taking place in Highschool DxD World, the rest of the Volumes is taking place in Astral Boundary which is a mix of the various worlds like Mechanical God Emperor Jeddah Universe.

So first and foremost, I know I haven't posted in like a week. This will NOT be dropped, just some family and school things have been difficult to take care of. Sort of almost failing Senior year of High School and my mom has recently given birth to my Sister! 

Moving off that, I have several questions for release time and how to go forward in the plot. Lets just get through them in order, that would probably be easier...

1.) How often should I release chapters; I can't do everyday, so should it be 1 chapter each day for Wednesday - Sunday, or big releases of 4-5 chapters once every week. Your decision would be greatly appreciated because i'm a very lazy man.

2.) I will be releasing chapters on Saturday, how many should I release? 10 LONG chapters, 15 medium-ish chapters, or 20 short chapters? 

3.) Plot: Should I keep it consistent to the Warhammer 40k universe lore for the games and books, or should I twist as I see fit while keeping it still as the Warhammer 40k universe?
 - to add, if I was consistent, I would have to keep each character's goals in the books and games consistent to their counterparts, while changing as I see fit I would change certain points about those characters. Ex: Changing the Holy Emperor to be dying from a disease while on his throne as the reason why Alex is made in this universe. Or alternatively, popping Alex into the story immediately at x time point and keeping the Emperor's opinions and goals the same.

A young gamer named Alex has just discovered the Prototype game series. But just after finishing the final boss fight power goes out and a earthquake destroys the apartment complex he is in! He comes to in a unfamiliar room filled with members of his apartment before quickly losing consciousness again.
Being the gamer that he is, he chooses to go to the Warhammer 40,000 universe and obtain the Mercer Virus from Prototype.

This has to be the most polarizing vote I've ever seen.

From what I can tell, it's about a 60% Yes, to a 40% No to keep Inko in the harem.

I think I'll just keep going, and if I think of a way to incorperate her into the harem and make it feel natural, I'll do it. And if not, I'll think of something else.

I want her to have a happy ending since she's had to go through some shit, so if she doesn't get with Diluc, I'll find another character to ship her with.

Some peope said All Might would work, and I agree, but I'm not sure I'll do the obvious ship.

Let me start by saying that the inspiration for Last Age of Man came primarily from Gantz (the manga), much of the Warhammer 40K universe, and of course the hundreds of traditional Xianxia/wuxia novels that I have read in the last few years.
What this means is that you will see a combination of many of the main themes here. 
For example, I love the grim world of Warhammer where everyone is constantly at war and no one is really a good guy. Gantz took place on modern-day earth with futuristic weapons being used in a very traditional way against mythical creatures, which I love. And the cultivation aspect of Xianxia novels is something that I always adore.
Here, you will see a little bit of everything. The grimness and scale of Warhammer, the world-building of Gantz, and many popular tropes from cultivation novels (not a LOT of face slapping and young masters though, unfortunately). 

THE WORLD:-
We will start from earth where many of the main world events you might recognize but many others will be new and made up, so fair warning, don't get stuck on every little detail. 
Some exaggerations have to be made with regard to the scale of things just because...well, cultivation baby!

In 2030, the world as we knew it was turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
Various creatures and phenomena previously considered to be the talks of myths and legends turned out to be real, hiding in the shadows for ages, only to surface all at once.
As a consequence of this, chaos reigned on earth for a number of years. 
Sometime later, an Empire of advanced humanoid beings arrived from deep space and took over the planet, taking all its inhabitants under their wing. 

Hao Tian was conscripted as a soldier in the Empire's army where he served for almost a century.
In the end, he was also met with a mysterious fate and returned back to the past, before everything changed for the worse.

Follow along as Hao Tian slowly discovers the truth about Earth and its history, muddling the line between reality and fiction with every morsel of information.

A/N: This novel was written by me in a whim or maybe a sudden feeling of stimulus after reading a certain Light Novel. I'm not a super dedicated fan of any of the following references to the original sci-fi universes, so please pardon me if I make any inconsistencies with the originals. Especially Warhammer 40k fans.

 Also please forgive me for the terrible grammar especially when describing something complex, might go in the format of: 'something...and....and.....and.....' Due to my lack of practice in writing. I have also written down explanations some of the important terms and races some might not be familiar with.

Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Issac Norman, yes that's the name my mother have given at birth just because she loved the movie 'The Wizard of Oz' at that time. Some call me Oscar, my close friends call me Oz.

 I am 24 years old and a game designer for a video game company. Working in this industry is one way I have found to make my dreams come true, that is to create a universe of my dream.

My childhood has not been the best, my mother divorced my father and left me to my father's relatives that being my aunt and grandmother and my father dying when I was 13 due to alcohol and drugs. These events left a hole in my heart due to which I've never even had a girlfriend.

 My job of creating a universe of my dream and my love for the multitude of anime, manga, novels and other things that I watch and read to keep me entertained are the only things that I have left after the rest of my family died. 

Due to this my nihilistic view of the world that has grown evermore stronger after living alone for 2 years. I swore to myself that if I could spend this life just to save another life with the want and will to live, I would give it to him/her and I don't care of there is a heaven or hell but I would welcome the dark emptiness of the void if that was all the afterlife could offer or maybe a dream of an isekai.

"Huhuhuhahahahahaha..... "

I suddenly laughed out while I was thinking of being transported into another world and the things i would do if I ever got wishes from an omnipotent being. Oops, it seemed I have awakened the dark one inside of me. This dark one born from watching too many anime and reading too many manga and novels. He hungers for an adventure and the chance to be an explorer of the universe. 

"Excuse me, Oscar aaahhh..... are you done making this stage? Hehehe." 

With a brittle smile, the department's supervisor asked me. It seems sudden impulses caused by the dark one is getting stronger, I must contain it with more anime, manga and novels or it may break out and ruin my life, well that is if there was any life in me anyway.

One day, I was in the bank and suddenly the most absurd thing happened. A one-man armed robbery with an explosive strapped to his chest. WHO THE FUCK IS CRAZY ENOUGH TO DO A ONE MAN ROBBERY ON A FUCKING BANK!!  

"N-NOBODY M-MOVE O-OOR I FUCKING PRESS THE DETONATOR!!"

You could clearly that the robber was not in a clear state of mind. Shaking hands and body twitching. It seems that he is on some kind of drug.

The security of the bank quickly pressed the silent alarm but dropped their weapons as he quickly held a hostage. After which we were also held hostage.

After 40 mins of waiting, a negotiator from the city's police department came in. The criminal on an impulse of fear of being caught and maybe because of the drug suddenly looked at the hostages with deadly eyes and started to run towards us.

"I'm gonna take the whole lot of you guys with me!" Shouted the robber.

Everybody ran for their lives as soon as they saw that the robber was trying to suicide bomb as many as he can. This would now make for a deadly game of tag.

 Next thing I do mustering all my courage and quotes from shounen animes I have watched, is to tackle the robber with the bomb strapped to his chest. I have so many time times shouted 'Are you fucking crazy!' in my mind in the last few nanoseconds that my head feels numb.

*BOOM!*

I could then feel the explosion as a tremendous amount of heat travelled up from the chest pinning the robber to the breaking of my ribs and excruciating painful heat going through my head. I and the robber are now blown to bits and pieces and everything around 25 meters from the vicinity of the explosion is scalded black or destroyed. Now I'm dead in one of the most ridiculous ways that doesn't happen on a daily basis.

As my soul left my body I did not run to the light that was in the sky but stayed knowing that my wallet survived the explosion and see if my last wish is fulfilled. My last wish is being what's written on my tombstone and complete incineration of my hard disks, all 50 TB's of hard disks and my smartphone.

Among the many people attending, which I guess are the people and their families I might have saved during the robbery and suicide bombing incident, I only found a few friends attending my funeral. No one was crying except that overly emotional work friend to which I could only weakly chuckle at. 

And then on the tombstone was a phrase written from a paper in my wallet that is:

SCENARIO 136: IF I DIE HEROICALLY IN AN EXPLOSION
HE DIED HEROICALLY WITH NO SHIT IN HIS PANTS. 

Yes, that was what was written. There was faecal matter found on the blast side but no DNA verification, so I'm sure it is not me and then I died heroically without shitting in my pants. I couldn't help but laugh out loud while ascended to the light in the sky.

 Next thing I know I was in the void. Dark and empty with nothing in it and I was ready for a sleep till the end of eternity. But then I saw something that looks like a silhouette of a human.

The silhouette appeared to be an entirely white entity the shape of a man.

"TRUTH!?" I appallingly questioned.

"Yes you may call me that from the anime you have watched but the TRUTH is that I'm G-"Truth said in a distorted voice.

"WAIT!!, I don't believe this. Just stop for a second and show me your true form." 
And as soon as I said that a blinding light that can be described as light with a luminous intensity of standing right in front of a star, shone upon me. And the next thing I see...

Didn't even shock me. The thing or the person I saw was Morgan Freeman in an entirely white business suit. 

"Not even shocked I see. I am very impressed that you guessed correct my true form." He said with his deep-toned voice which made me euphoric. 

I swear that I could feel the omniverse expanding with every word he uttered. 

"I am grateful to be in your presence, Sir. And thank you for the compliment, hehehe.." I laughed like a child getting praised.

"Your welcome. Now onto the reason for our meeting here. I can either send you to heaven or will you take with you, .. Let's see counting your karma you have accumulated, three... Hmm no, let's make it five omnipotent wishes since I'm feeling good and you have guessed correctly my true form. That's it five omnipotent wish and transmigrate to a different universe." He said.

I was ecstatic to hear such a statement that I almost giggled like a girl. Now my childhood wish of exploring the vast expanse of the universe is within reach. I started to think of the wishes I would need in the new universe I wish for. 

My mind quickly thought of a peaceful galaxy of many planets and communities I can explore with secrets and adventure all around. 

But also there was a certain galaxy that was in the back of my mind that shuddered me to my very core that couldn't help but come up, that was the Grim Dark galaxy of Warhammer 40k. Only a fool or a complete lunatic would wish for such a galaxy. 

"My first wish is to start in a fairly peaceful galaxy that I can explore. I don't want bleak galaxy with miserable people but also not so peaceful that it has no enemy and becomes boring. Also, add space elves and catgirls." I said with a smug smile. To which God also returns a smug smile.

(A/N: Most of my knowledge on Warhammer 40k is based on the games such as Dawn of War and YouTube channels like Luetin09 and OneMindSyndicate, so *dogeza* Please don't kill me because I got the technology or the lore wrong. Also, this is my fu*king fanfic.)

"My second wish is to create my own body using technology and genetics or physiology from the Warhammer 40k universe." I chose this wish due to the technological and genetic extremities of that universe and I want to not only explore one galaxy or universe but other dimensions as well. And with this, I'm sure I can make a close to an immortal body.

"Hmmm.. It seems you have a great spirit for adventure and exploration, it would be a waste if you died early and never even finished your exploration of only one galaxy. And even one galaxy is huge for a single non-omnipresent being." He said agreeing and understanding the reason for my wish. 

"Thirdly I want the technological knowledge of every intelligent space-faring races of the Warhammer 40k universe even the lost technologies of humanity and Aeldari to the technology of the old ones." As they say knowledge is power and with this much knowledge I am close to a Galactic God. The Necrontyr one of my favourite race in the Warhammer 40k universe have such an advance technology that it seems like magic to other races and powerful enough to close giant warp rifts like nothing or blow up stars giving rise to supernovas even the Old Ones lost to the undying army of the Necrontyr and only their creations; the Aeldari survived their wrath in the galaxy.
 
(Explanations:
Aeldari/Eldars: The Aeldari are typically space elves which have immense psychic powers, superior minds and make use of wraithbones or physical manifestations of the warp/immaterium to build things.

Necrontyr/Necrons: The Necrons are an ancient race who sold their souls to the C'tan for immortality. They are now soulless with metal bodies made of Necrodermite and we're the enemies of the old ones; the creators of the Aeldari race.

Old ones: Basically the first and the most advance intelligent race in the Milkyway galaxy and were powerful to be known as Gods of the galaxy during their time.

C'tan/Star Gods: A race of sentient energy that are born from the beginning of the universe and feeds on suns or souls of other sentient races. They took the souls of the entire Necrontyr civilisation only leaving the egos and consciousness of the leaders who managed to keep their egos intact but after the Necrontyr defeated the Old Ones they were captured and used as batteries for the Necron Lords.

Wraithbone: These are energies of the warp/immaterium bought to physical space/real space. They can be used to construct any forms of technology with the help of psychics called Bonesingers of the Aeldari race.

Necrodermis: It is a living metal that has the property of self-regeneration. Necrons made of necrodermis are as hard as adamantium and the only way to destroy a Necron warrior is to shoot it till the self-regeneration is outmatched by sheer firepower.  )

"Yes, that would have a better outcome than transferring it now," I said and started the creation and customize my new body. 

I started with an Aledari gene as a base gene customising it's appearance and improving it which would come with the superior psychic abilities of the Aeldari, wiping clean the parts that would be detrimental like the low fertility rate, the ability to remember every bliss and horrible experience and make sure that my descendants also don't develop these qualities, to increase the psychic powers I also added gene-seeds from the Emperor of Mankind and Eldanesh. I also added necrodermite improved with aeldari wraithbones and old one's technology to the body itself such that I can be immortal as the journey is gonna be long since I have so much to explore.

I've always wondered the philosophical question of whether power corrupts a person or not and whether I will it drastically change my mind when I get a new body. The human mind can be a fickle thing or sometimes a immovable bastion of faith. I also wonder if any of the two is really true, being too submissive to the flow of change can lead you astray and putting all of your faith in something narrows the path you see to only one path. And now as I am about to be granted these powerful wishes I hope I don't change at all when I obtain power.

The only answer I have come up to this is never to stop questioning. Question the path you take so that you are not taking a narrow path or question whether you are led astray or not. But I guess everybody have different answers to these questions. Now moving on.

"An impressive creation of a strong mind and body, with this you could take on the dangers of the universe." God complimented. To which I could only happily say "Thanks." After which I was transferred to my new body which looked like an elf as I don't mind the long ears after playing so many elf characters in Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls. I now have a body with the looks of tall, swimmer body-build, the fine-featured face of an elf with bushy white-silver hair and amber coloured eyes.

"Even with the enhanced Aeldari you will have to stay here for at least a millennium to safely absorb knowledge hundreds of billions years worth. So I think you should tell me your fourth and fifth wish first." God said. But I don't mind living in this void space for a while. So I thought of my fourth wish as the knowledge slowly enters my mind.

"My fourth wish is to have an infinite amount of material to construct my spaceship."I said and as soon as I said that I was shown an interface for different materials in different multiverses such as vibranium, amazonium, uru, and such but I chose to stay with a specific theme, a combination of the programmable necrodermis and wraith bones so that I can customize it later to whatever suit my needs and began programming the gigantic mass of living materials to transform to different shape, weapons, shields and the different systems and parts needed on a spaceship and more during my stay in the void space. 

My stay in the void space for a millennium was quite eventful. God introduced me to the aspects of the omniverse such as the aspects of infinity, death, life, creation, destruction, chaos, order and consciousness and became quite familiar with them and made friends with infinity and consciousness during my stay. Every one of them bickers like kids and trying to gain the favour of their father. Fights also happen and look deadly but none of them could truly die. I was just there looking at them tearing the void space and destroying entire universes during their quarrels. What a sight to behold! 

After a millennium I was ready to leave the void, but first I had to make my last wish and say goodbye to everyone hoping I meet them someday again.

My last wish is something that came up as I missed something from my old world. And that thing is the internet." My fifth and final wish is to be able to connect to the internet of my version of my old world that dosen't suffer an apocalypse and buy stuff from the internet with a bank account to convert the currency of the new universe to any other currency in my previous world." I said. I couldn't help but specify my wish after wondering if there was an Apocalypse the internet and Japan might not continue to exist entirely. And I'm starting to miss eating junk food from my previous world.

So with everything done, I say goodbye an everyone wished me good luck.

This novel was written by me when I had too much free time and had a sense of inspiration after reading a certain Light Novel. Also, honestly, I don't know how long I can find the enthusiasm to keep writing it.
