When he was a Yaban he had just gotten out of being classified as an adolescent and can be considered in the early middle of his lifespan as a Yaban.

Now that he evolved into a Direwolf he is still in the early middle of his lifespan, but only this time the lifespan of a Direwolf not a Yaban.

'That was a close shave! If I decided to rank up near the end of my life as a Yaban to gain more achievements, which I decided not to, then even if I ranked up to something stronger I would still be at the end of my life.'

'Of course I would have gained a bit of time as higher beast species have a longer lifespan, but would that time be enough to rank up again?'

'Most likely not.'

'A piece of good news for me is that I learned from the classes that most beasts have really long lifespans and it only gets longer the higher tier they are. Of course there are exclusions from this like the extremely weak creatures such as a Yaban or a rat'

'Phew... Once again I am glad that I am no longer a Yaban. I even feel as if my body is brimming with strength.'

'This is to be expected as compared to when I was a Yaban my strength, stamina, and overall "stats" has multiplied many times.' 

'For now I should get used to my new body.'

Joshua tried walking around in the cave and while he did have a bit of trouble at first, his experience with four limbs as a Yaban helped him quickly adjust to the changes.

Joshua then walked outside the cave to check the time and noticed it was past midnight and in a few hours the sun would rise.

The wolves would already have had finished their hunt by now and it was not like Joshua would be able to enact his revenge instantly anyways. He needed a plan because he can't just rush up to the red wolf as that would just get him surrounded and killed instantly.

Not to mention the Alpha is most likely much stronger than Joshua is now with all his skills only being level 1 except for his inherit skill.

With that in mind Joshua returns to the cave, which he has decided to make his temporary residence while he is a Direwolf, and test out his newly gained skills.

'First, the Light Absorption skill let's me better store and utilize the light elements.'

'If I were to guess these light elements are like mana in games. For instance at an active volcano there would probably be a rich amount fire elements in the air.'

'For me the light elements come from the sunlight. Anyways I still have some light elements stored in my from when I was a Yaban before I ranked up.'

'I know that I can use then to speed up my recovery, but maybe I should try something else.'

Joshua tried to manipulate the light elements in him, but was dismayed to find that all he could do was direct it inward to himself and outwards.

'Hrm. The inward is how I heal, but what happens if I direct it outwards since that is all I can do?'

Joshua just decides to push all the light elements he has stored inside him outwards all at once to see what happens. The result was...

Hey, Friendly Neighborhood Author here, I'd like to talk about the various races we'll meet in this story. Make sure to read the Author's Note. I'll try to keep this Aux Chapter short by saying a very short introduction of each race. So we'll start off with the most basic race: Humans

Humans are, as you guessed, like us. With the highest population, they are the most technologically advanced. At least as far as medieval tech can get, anyways. They are also one of the two races who can have affinities with almost every magic branch. (I'll talk about magic in another chapter) Approximate Lifespan: 100 Years

Next up are the various kinds of Elves, starting with your average everyday Fantasy Elves. This kind of Elf goes by a couple names: Wood Elves, Wild Elves, Forest Elves, or just Elves. Possessing long lifespans and high compatibility with mana, they are capable spell-casters. Wood Elves are also the only race able to learn and use Life Magic. Approximate Lifespan: 70,000 Years

High Elves are the nobility of the Elven races, at least that's what they'd have you believe. This brand of elf is generally very rarely seen outside their home Capital. They posses even longer lifespans than either Elves or Dark Elves, with staggering amounts of mana. High affinities towards the Arcane Branch. Approximate Lifespan: 800,000 Years

Dark Elves, said to be corrupted by dark magics, are known by another name, Drow. Diametrically opposed to both Elves and High Elves, they have grey or black skin, snow white hair, and red or silver eyes. Drow are easily burned by sunlight and prefer the dark over anything else. Their magic affinities lie in the Taboo Magics. Approximate Lifespan: 90,000 Years

Vampires are a distant form of Elf, and are the result of a small gene-pool. This caused them to develop severe anemia, low body temperatures, and deathly pale skin. The way they evolved to deal with the lack of blood was to consume more of it. Vampires only have affinities with Blood Magic. Approximate Lifespan: 120,000 Years (If fed Blood regularly)

After Elves, we have the standard Fantasy Dwarves. They are supreme craftsmen, making the most powerful pieces of equipment known to the land. Sturdy and stout, a dwarf can easily carry what an average human can't. Most Dwarves have an affinity with the Elemental Magics. Approximate Lifespan: 375 Years

Within Ulder live several species of Beast-Folk which include; Wolves, Bears, Cats, and Birds. All of these species have the ability to take on more bestial form. The Cat and Bird Folk have various sub-species which include other similar real-life counterparts. Their affinities lie with Elemental Magic. Approximate Lifespan: 200 Years

Giants are separated into two groups, the aggressive Val'tiir Giants and the benevolent Nas'ver Giants.  The Val'tiir are classified as monsters while the Nas'ver are a race. The Nas'ver use magic to compress their large stature in order to trade with and befriend the other races. Magical affinities lie with the Arcane Branch. Approximate Lifespan: 180 Years

Finally, We arrive at the apex of the races: Dragons. These are Western-style Dragons with a twist. They are completely immortal, lifespan-wise, and their scales and bones are almost indestructible. The price they have to pay for such immortality is at certain intervals of age, they must suffer through a tribulation. Not like heavenly lightning, but an intense agony that comes from their very body and soul. If they either pass out or give up, they are destroyed. If they succeed, they increase in strength. They also physically mature all at once instead of steadily like us. Dragons can freely choose what type of magic they practice.

A washed-up novelist is sent to the world of his unwritten novel. There he gains the family he had lost, and the love he longed for.

The man was horrified because what that bolt of lightning did was cut his lifespan in half effectively putting his cultivation at jeopardy of failing to make a breakthrough. Because when making a breakthrough you burn your potential which is also directly related to your lifespan so losing half of it is a terrible loss regards of cultivation realm. "I..I don't know how but that lad sent that bolt of lightning and it took half my lifespan." He says fearfully. The girl is shocked "the only way he could do that is if he had some ungodfully powerful expert behind him" she says surprised. This was the true reason the man was scared witless was because anyone capable of halving his lifespan was not someone he could handle. After coming to an agreement the girl set off to the academy.
NMeanwhile nick was but irritated and happy at the same time , he was irritated that the mark was still there but happy that he punished the person who gave it to him. 'I should probably get that alchemy method and the body refinement technique before I grind my laws to advanced.' After making his plan he followed through by buying those items and memorizing their contents and burning the physical copies. Afterwards nick spent the next month train his laws getting all the new ones to advanced and the space to intermediate. On this day every participant left was suddenly dragged out of the mirror before arriving in the area outside the mirror. The elder who was in charge of the test gave nick an odd look before speaking "everyone still here is already accepted into the academy. However due to certain individuals we must question some of you for safetys sake therefore come when your name is called." The elder says briskly. after a while nick is called and he walks over calmly before he is taken away like everyone else before him. Unlike everyone before however when he entered the room it was filled with elders arguing. "Uh is it a bad time?" He said awkwardly. The elders all stop arguing and stare at nick like hungry wolves. "No ,well the thing is we actually tried to stop you from getting that mark so we're arguing about how to treat you from now on." One of the elders explains looking frustrated. "Im fine being treated like everyone else." Nick said reassuringly. Someone steps forward that person is old sun himself. "Lad it's not so simple that mark on you represents a power even stronger than the academy, and you a new student was chosen to bear it you simple can't be compared to others at all." He said while gesturing dramatically. Nick snorted in irritation."you don't need to worry about this mark to much as no one can force me into anything like marriage without my permission."he said before storming off leaving the group of elders in shock. "Can he do that?"one of the elders asked breaking the silence. Old sun spoke up to answer"from what I've seen of that little fellow he doesn't brag about things he simply does." He said calmly. A message comes into the room in a panic "sirs a young women claiming to be the dragon princess is at the front gates asking to be let in!" He exclaimed.

nick was an ordinary guy , no seriously he was almost boring how normal he was.
So one day nick was walking to the store to get him a soda when some drunk driver happened to look away from the wheel and crashed into poor nick,but we all know how this song and dance goes and he gets reincarnated into a fantasy world with cultivation and gods and monsters but the problem is nick only ever wanted to be normal and now he's the most unordinary person alive with a system hellbound to drag him to greatness , kicking and screaming if necessary.well that is until tragedy strikes making him want to become strong.

Core zone of the forest…

A figure was sitting below a giant tree with his back resting against its large roots, he had several bloody cuts all over his body but surprisingly his ripped dress was restoring its damage on its own.

Rex was painting at the moment, he was using the passive mode of his cultivation technique to channel Yang Qi all over his body to force out the monster Qi from his body and fasten the healing of his injuries.

At the start of the chase, thanks to Shadow-Dive + Assassinate, he was able to avoid getting caught by the wolves, but after he used it several times the wolves got used to it and could catch up to him in no time. He could hide or travel in the shadows but once attacked he would be thrown outside automatically. To make it worse the peak stage wolf had a special ability that lets him track Rex by tracking the monster Qi that entered his body when he was attacked.

'Dammit, I will never judge any old woman by their beautiful faces again, that damn woman is a maniac in particular. Easy training my ass, it's the hellish mode of survival, does she think I am a divine beast like her who would fight with claws or bite the enemies to death? I am fukking Huma- Lamiarious Carbonite Human,' Rex was just thinking but suddenly he looked up and saw that a black leopard hiding between the tree branch was staring at him with his two pale yellow eyes.

The second their eyes met, the leopard leaped at him,

'Accel'

Rex barely dodged the attack in time, originally Accel was very fast but with his cultivation base being suppressed its effectiveness decreased.

'Damn my luck, a Monster Elite at a time like this? It's the worst,' Rex thought, just when the thought flashed in his mind he regretted it because the three black wolves chasing him earlier caught up and ended up blocking his escape route from behind.

'Why did I even think that?' Rex lamented.

The three of them didn't back off even when the leopard stared at them and gave a low roar as a warning, their hormones had long climbed up to their head making them lost most of their remaining rationality, they were moving on their instincts by now.

Rex's body tensed up.

"Hmmm, It's Over For Today I Guess," The domineering voice of Zakiya in her beast form sounded at the moment, freezing all the four beasts in their spot.

The bloodline pressure of a divine beast was more than enough to scare them out of their wits, especially when they were just in their early stages of spirit beast lineage.

The shadows on the ground fluctuated then turned into two cages that imprisoned the three wolves and the black leopard, then the cages flew away in her direction.

When Rex saw that the leopard was also caught, he had a feeling that they gonna meet again soon enough.

{Todays' training is over now, you can rest and recuperate for tomorrow then come again on the day after tomorrow. Keep the training uniform with you, wear it when you come to train next time, by the way, if you don't come over then I will drag you here and double your training time as a punishment,} Zakiya's indifferent voice rang in his head.

Ria was enjoying her good night sleep with a supposedly good dream, she had a faint smile on her face, at the moment she was gently hugging Mia from behind while sleeping.

At the same time, Mia had her eyes shut closed as she counted snakes up to a thousand, she was finding it hard to sleep in her current situation. 

When they were younger they did cuddle with each other while sleeping all the time but as they grew up Ria became strict, colder, and more of a serious type to not let herself and Mia become the chess pieces on other's game board.

So now Mia found her actions really embarrassing, now that they had grown up the same action carried different meaning and feeling. Today, Rex was free now that he had so many clones he didn't need to worry about doing anything himself. Different cultivation stages result in different increases value in the lifespan depending on what that stage is actually meant for.

For example stages like the Soul Strengthening stage and Dao Comprehension stage wouldn't add much lifespan because the former is meant to temper the soul and strengthen its connection with the body and open the Sea Of Consciousness of the cultivator while the latter adds the power of Dao to the cultivator by comprehending the concept of their way of life.

Unlike them, the cultivation stages like the Spirit King stage and Sky Body Formation stage bring tremendous changes to one's body increasing the lifespan of the cultivator by a big margin.

The increase in lifespan differs according to the race and cultivation technique, there are also other ways to increase one's lifespan and one of them is longevity pills.

'I see, looks like a divine beast's blood can really make a big difference. I have decided I won't commence the next evolution before getting the blood of at least three divine beasts. For now, let's breakthrough we have delayed it for quite a long time now,' Rex thought.

Rex was focusing on his dantian at the moment, inside the dantian all the Qi was now transforming and merging into a single point at the center forming a tiny core, with time the core was becoming bigger and more stable.

Rung Dun didn't know what to do. Fend off the wolf attack or search for the killer. The Thousand Timber Wolf King also suffered a direct impact. Its large body had many burned marks and some of its furs were still burning. Frightened by the immense power of the spell, the large timber wolf ran with its tail between the legs.
The other surviving wolves also began retreating. Some managed to get inside the fog and managed to survive the assault from chasing clansmen, the rest that couldn't manage to get inside the fog got killed.

In the Mana Spring, Mizar was delighted on seeing that the process had succeeded and getting stat points. The Mana Spring that came up to his waist was now was decreased by 4-5 inches. That was 20-30 years worth of lifespan of Mana Spring. The process of awakening didn't consume the most Mana, but the system did. The system required Mana to operate and give Mizar the experience points, increase his stats and such. When killing people, the system takes energy from the soul and to give the Exp for achievement and for increasing stats mana or energy of equivalent value. So, the Exp gained was equivalent to the energy stored in the soul. Mizar didn't know any of it and couldn't sense it as well. Not anyone in this clan could sense it. Only some powerful mages could sense it.
Mizar noticed the change in Spring and inwardly thought, 'The awakening shouldn't have used this much mana. Who knows, in this another world, I shouldn't think of it as same as my previous world. Who knows what other there might be that surprises me.'
He went back the way he came from until there was a dead end. He then twisted some rocks in different angles. He backed up a few steps, and the stairs came down again. He walked up the stairs and the cave closed itself as same as it was before. The stairs also attached itself to the upper floor, and now everything looked normal.
Mizar who was standing at the top of the stairs was now at the bottom. He thought of robbing the place but immediately discarded it. The Clan Leader had probably some protective measures in place. He just hadn't put any protective measurements in the Mana Spring was probably because of two reasons.
First, he was probably afraid of messing with the Mana Spring and damaging it. Second, he was confident that no one could ever find the way to go to the Mana Spring.
Mizar had just walked past the pool in front of the mansion when suddenly he heard a huge explosion noise. It reminded him of his last minutes in his previous life, but this explosion paled in comparison to that. The explosion in his previous life was !00,000 more destructive and powerful.
He knew the battle had ended when he heard the explosion. So he hurried and rushed towards his home.
The Mana Spring again decreased when Rung Dun used the spell. The decrease in Mana Spring was about 3-4 inches and lifespan was again decreased by roughly 30 years. The Mana in the surrounding wasn't enough to supplement for the spell he used but he forcefully drew mana directly from the Spring and used it.
Mizar ran as quickly as he could towards his house. He occasionally changed routes as not to get tracked where he came from. He got to his home after about 20 minutes. The dead bodies of servants were still there, the pool of dried blood, the tattered blanket, everything was the same as before. He was planning to dispose of the bodies of servants by burying it in the hill of wastes when he thought of something.
"System, how do I use the Class Effect?" He asked the system.
Instead of a voice, a window popped up.

If Mizar were here, he would have recognized it as himself. The entire Universe Mizar lived in was destroyed so that these Immortal Mages could get the inheritance.

More thousands of years before Mizar's soul had been captured.
There were 7 people travelling together towards the same location. 2 were women and the rest were men.
"Are you sure that it is the inheritance of an Otherworldly Divine Mage?" The one who asked was a woman, her name was Alevein. She had long brown hair and brown eyes with a short and pointy nose. She was wearing a sleeveless green robe with a flower pattern over it, but it couldn't hide the big hills on top her chest. Her hands were snow white and smooth like jades.
"Yes, it was, but it required a total of seven people to open to I had to ask all of you to come. We can split the inheritance. 45% for me and rest for all of you" The one who answered was Lock. He had long porcupine-like white hair with a scar on his face. He was tall and Masculine and was carrying a huge broad sword on his back. 
"Okay but let's get there first" Alevein replied. Lock began speeding and the rest followed him.
8 years later, they arrived in front of one of the light specks. The rest of the light specks were of fixed colours but this was changing colour. It changed colour every six months. When they got near it, they heard a voice inside their head welcoming to the test for inheritance and they entered the light speck.
Three Hundred Years later, they came with 7 people, but now there were only 4 left. Alevien, Lock, Susa and the guy who got Mizar's soul in the future, Kazer. This was the final round of the inheritance. They were ready for something dangerous, but nothing happened. A few minutes later, four lump of lights flew towards the four of them.
In each of those light lumps, there was a scroll with a recipe for something. There were a bunch of ingredients listed in a recipe like 100,000 souls of different kinds of Mages, rare Herbs, etc. but the most important one was a soul that could withstand the refinements of this technique.
"Use this technique to raise a Player. After they become Immortal Mages, bring them here with you and then can you take part in Final Round of the Inheritance," They heard a voice in their head and before they knew it they were already ejected out of the light speck.
Nobody spoke and everyone went their own way to find a soul to raise. Everyone had their own way of searching for the soul. The light speck which glowed originally in 9 different colours now glowed in 5 different colours.
One day, Susa accidentally found Lock's Son and sensed that he had quite a strong soul. Of course, Lock could also sense it but he didn't dare try it on his son. If the refinement failed, he would lose his only son. Susa killed Lock's son and took his soul into the refinement process. During refinement, Susa wiped out his memory, so that he couldn't remember his past life.
After finding out his son was killed, Lock was furious and searched for Susa everywhere but couldn't find her. Then he started destroying the light speck worlds to find a suitable soul so that he could get the inheritance and kill her. Others also followed his trend and started destroying the world hoping to get a suitable soul, a soul that could withstand the f an Immortal Mage.
The refinement took Thousands of years and the soul was planted into the body of a nearly dying Mortal. After many years, other people also found the inheritance, and now there were a total of nine peoples with the system in this entire Multiverse. Each with their individual different powers. Each with their own adventure, journey and life.
Who will win this inheritance in this fight against geniuses from the different worlds?!

Mizar's father was killed and one of the killers is now his stepfather. He has hidden it deeply the fact that he knew about his father's killer. Right after he killed his stepfather, suddenly an explosion occurs. 
He now wakes up in the body of a boy named Kans followed by a voice in his head.

It has been some time since he started cultivating Qi by converting mana, long enough for him to get all the information about Qi cultivation he could out of the system and his blood inheritance.

The system of cultivating Qi is much more advanced and stable than the system of cultivating mana, allowing for a far more stable foundation and a possibility at reaching even further heights.

The Qi cultivation system is as follows:

Qi condensation- 9 levels (10 only reachable by so little it's a legend) Reaching level 9 results in an increase in lifespan of 400 years, 10 increase of 1000 years. Each level is an increase of two times of strength than the average human (Added to current strength before breakthrough, final strength varies depending on individual)

Foundation Establishment- 4 levels, reaching all four levels results in a total increase of another 1000 years of lifespan. Each level is another two times in strength etc

Core Formation- 4 levels, reaching a full four levels in this stage results in an increase of 5000 years of lifespan. Again each level is a two times increase in strength.

Nascent Soul- 4 levels, 5000 years of lifespan gain total after all four levels are complete. Each level is two times increase in strength etc.

Nascent Divinity- 4 levels, Same as above.

Rebirth-1 level, gain of 10,000 years of lifespan. At this stage, nearly all weapons with a ranking at this stage or lower are unable to cause one harm. Four times increase in strength, etc.

False God-1 level, Gain 40,000 years of lifespan. Same as above.

True God-1 level, Gain 100,000 years of lifespan. Same as above.

Over God- unknown amount of levels. Same as above.

Those are the stages of Qi cultivation and their levels, ignoring some other benefits of each stage (most vary depending on the individual, someone may have a massive increase in strength, another in speed, etc.)

There are some obvious increases in other aspects, like vitality and quality of Qi that were not mentioned above.

Getting more into present events, it has been about five years since Will has arrived in this world. His initial shock of arriving here, to learning about being a rejected gradually faded as he accepted his new life in this world.

After converting mana to Qi all of these years, he reached the second level of Foundation Establishment, which is more powerful than a three band sacred level expert.

Sadly the conversion of mana to Qi is 5/1, so his cultivation was slower than it should be. Here's the difference between Qi and mana. For mana its 60 mental improvement, 20 soul improvement, and 20 body improvement. For Qi, it's 60 body strengthening, 20 mental strengthening, and 20 soul strengthening.

Mana is firstly meant for mind/soul strengthening (body in later stages) Qi is firstly meant for body strengthening (mind/soul in later stages)

Although it can change depending on techniques used, like mana cultivation techniques specifically meant for body strengthening.

The mana cultivation system is severely lacking, in both power, knowledge, and foundation. With the knowledge Will gained about his path of Qi cultivation, he not only has a further reach in his path than mana cultivators, but a greater source of power as well.

Off of this roughly thought out topic, just a few months after arriving to the sect, a very familiar pack of wolves showed up tired, hungry, and angry.

Needless to say, that day many disciples gained a plentiful amount of contribution points, which Will is in no need of, having the support of Cecily and her father.

Not like he is mooching off of them though, although tempting, he isn't such a lowlife to do that. He only asks for things that are of utmost importance, and focuses on getting even stronger, much to the appreciation of Klaus.

Speaking of the two, two years ago Cecily managed to reach the sacred realm as a mage, and peak level four warrior. Though in the last few months she caught a never before seen sickness, that slowly drains away her life force.

This caused Klaus to panic, as he got his hands on the best medicine that could be found and made, only to find out that none of them worked in the slightest. This caused Klaus to gain grey hairs, adding to the rare few that he already had. Unfortunately, he only got worse, every time he attempted to cultivate he would enter mana deviation.

To make matters even worse, Klein, that little shit, started demanding that he be made clan head, and by extension, head of the sect. Trying to use the excuse that Cecily won't live long enough to do good, and Klaus isn't in the right mental condition to lead anymore. (Not like Klein with his mental state would be able to lead in the first place)

Fortunately, he ended up learning how mud tastes the hard way as he was punched so hard he ended up half way across the sect in a pig pen.

Will, trying his best to help Cecily after showing him the kindness someone who ends up in another world needs, had his hopes dashed as even the system had no knowledge of a way to cure her…

Sadly for Will, he entered a state of depression for a couple months as he realized that all of this is most likely related to him, it took Cecily visiting him everyday convincing him that although she is going to die sooner, she can still do the things she has always done, and that if she keeps breaking through, her life force loss wouldn't do much compared to what she can gain from breakthroughs.

All in all, for Will, he really cannot wait to change the laws of the universe to allow Qi again, and keep the current mana system as well.

This is a story about a young man named Will! While playing his favorite game "Potion Maker" after installing a mod, his computer shorted out.

Will then woke up in a new world with the ability to make any potion he wishes! 

With a system that allows him to gain new abilities, will he be walked on by those stronger? Or will he rise to the top?
