There will be no narrative stakes or tension if you can't even make sure random nobodies aren't shooting off nukes and your main character isn't invincible beyond measure.

There are people who tend to overthink about how to write Fantasy since it's such a popular genre everyone and their dog is writing. You don't need someone else's guideline to write a Fantasy since most good Author's base them out of existing literature of the past or modern ones they are retelling using their own tropes and characters.

You'll never get anywhere if you need someone else to flex your creativity when looking into the past brings forth many mystical stories and myths that all wouldn't be possible without a little bit of magic sprinkled onto them. The classic LitRPG genre with stuff like Guilds and Adventures is popular to use nowadays but only because you don't have to explain much in a story that's so easy to figure out.

If you're going to use the LitRPG setting with dungeons and dragons, make sure you make it character driven and focus on people rather than explaining how fireballs work. The only reason Slime Reincarnation (That Time I Reincarnating As A Slime) or Sword Dad (I Was A Sword When I Reincarnated) are so popular is because behind the Power Fantasy are well-written and diverse characters.

If you want to write your own Fantasy World unique to only you, then it's best to start researching ways to ground it with your audience. These days people want to read about 'people' more than someone dumping lore about a fictional world they don't care about. Even pure Fantasy stories needs a protagonist that can be the reader's eyes and ears.

Now, thanks to the Isekai Boom, you may think that a main character HAS to be reincarnated for basically no reason whatsoever. However, that is ill-advised as people reincarnated for trivial reasons bore the audience to death. There's this Fantasy story about this non-reincarnated girl who was raised by Death himself in a regular medieval magic world, causing her to be a mix of creepy and cute all at the same time. This is an example of the kind of plots which are interesting BECAUSE their MC is a member of this world but special rather than some random guy from Earth who just so happens to be Isekai'd.

Isekai can be done right when the main character's rebirth or transportation into this world holds some sort of meaning. However, it can turn into a very boring story with maybe one or two gimmicks if you aren't even thinking of an ending for it.

Getting back to the main point: You seriously won't be able to write a Fantasy properly unless you at least know something about characters (If you haven't already figured that out already).

How the life of this character, under the special upbringing that only those of your Fantasy World go through, is interesting to the reader depends of where you take the tropes of your regular Fantasy.

You can go the 'Epic Fantasy' route, then copying the Hero's Journey is fine as long as you switch it up a bit. As long as you understand the fundamentals of a Hero's Journey and not look at it as the ONLY WAY TO TELL A STORY then you're on the right track.

Those who are wondering what a Hero's Journey is can find the link at the bottom. Also try searching for Dan Harmon's Story Circle for a more character driven version of it on YouTube. Anyway, this trope is basically the origin of the whole 'Chosen One' trope.

As for what I meant by Epic Fantasy, it is actually quite beloved type of story for many who love the Fantasy genre. It could be about the journey about a chosen one destined to defeat a Big Baddy like Eragon, Lord of the Rings, etc. There are even shorter and more simplified versions of this which is basically where the 'Hero Vs Demon King' trope came from. As long as there's a quest fraught with danger then people would love to read about a chosen one being able to win against their foes.

Another route you can take is Dark Fantasy, where all the lovely tales of HP Lovecraft comes from. His stories may lean more on the spectrum of supernatural tales about Dark Gods and Cults but the way everything seems to be ripped out of a nightmare is what I'm trying to focus on. If a regular Fantasy is like a dream then a Dark Fantasy is one you'd rather avoid since the world is screwed up.

And I don't mean the characters are screwed up or insane by any means, I literally mean either the Magic System or how society works is genuinely screwed up. Read 'Dungeon Seeker' as an example of this (Warning: Don't read it if you don't want to pollute your innocent mind with all the corruption in this story). Either way, it could be the Magic System relies on the blood of orphans, or it could be you have to kill a loved every time you cast a spell. The main point is that this Fantasy World is just hell.

Now, I could move on to Urban Fantasy and other sub-genres, but that would be wasting my time and yours since TV Tropes exists for a reason. Just remember what I've said and have a clear goal in beginning and end planned for your character's development and you'll be fine. There's nothing better than a story that's focused after all.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

"F*ck! It is the [Heavenly Meteorite Technique]!"
Looking at the meteorite above, Ming Du's hair started standing on its ends.
The [Heavenly Meteorite Technique] was a Magician level 100 ultimate move where one could summon meteorites to attack the enemy. Without talking about how fearsome it was, a skill like that would cost the user dearly as well. Therefore, even the user of such skill wouldn't dare to use it casually. 
Not only did Fantasy Goblin execute such a skill, he even used it to attack the [Sacred Ray] only… This was equivalent to using a nuclear weapon to catch a thief.
The most terrifying aspect was how casual the Fantasy Goblin looked when he executed the move. He seemed so relaxed and satisfied when executing the skill that it almost made him look much stronger than a god-grade BOSS like Reynolds. He was basically a god as well. 
"Kill, kill!"
Just when everyone was flabbergasted by the Fantasy Goblin's valiantness, the crowd of ordinary fantasy goblins started shouting and rushing over towards them. The Quan Zhen Sect didn't know if it was because there were too many of them or what, but the crowd of green fellas started fighting each other. 
"Why are they even fighting each other?"
As they witnessed how the ordinary fantasy goblins started attacking each other, the Quan Zhen Sect's players were incredibly confused.
"Sinister! Way too sinister!" Fearless was deep in thought as he commented, "I really feel like something is amiss but I just don't know what it is!"
"Who cares what is amiss? I shall take care of him now!" Wang Yu clenched his fists as he was about to charge over fearlessly.
When everyone saw that, they were jealous and envious. Wasn't it great to have power and strength? He could do anything he wanted and even a god-grade BOSS wouldn't be regarded as anything significant.
While even though everyone knew that Wang Yu's strength was beyond their imagination, they weren't convinced that Wang Yu could really take on Fantasy Goblin. After all, a BOSS who could casually do what he did was known to the very best in this game. If a low-level player like Wang Yu could go against a god of this level, there was really no point for him to continue playing this game. 
Hence, everyone went ahead to stop him, "Old Bull, don't go! This fella is too strong and not someone we can deal with!" 
"Too strong! Yes, way too strong!" Hearing what everyone said, Fearless seemed to have thought of something as he suddenly cried out.
"Has Fearless gone crazy?" Looking at Fearless' expression, everyone questioned.
"Crazy your head! Don't you guys think that this Fantasy Goblin is way too strong?"
"Nonsense!" Everyone twitched their mouth… They were merely doing a quest so how did a god-grade monster appear so suddenly? Moreover, a god-grade BOSS with incredible strength like this… This was basically forceful external modifications. 
"Don't you think that it is weird for a level 50 BOSS to have strength greater than a god-grade NPC?" Fearless asked. 
"This…"
With Fearless' reminder, everyone instantly realised something. 
Damn! They were merely fighting a BOSS and they managed to provoke a god-grade NPC… This was clearly not practical… By putting in an event where the players wouldn't be able to complete, the gaming company was basically playing with fire. 
"Unless this fella is fake?"
At the thought of this, everyone exclaimed in unison.
"That's right! He is definitely fake and this is the illusion of the Fantasy Goblin!" Fearless confirmed. 
Fantasy Goblin… The main word was Fantasy so the only logical explanation now would be illusion.
Indeed, the moment Fearless said that, a system notification appeared in the squad channel.
<System Notification: Your current squad saw through Fantasy Goblin's illusion. Illusion released!> 
"Shua…"
A ray of white light flashed past as the dark scene peeled off gradually and the original sky was exposed again.
The architectures destroyed by the lightning bolts and meteorites restored its original appearance. On Middle Street, the players from the various sects were fighting each other violently. Not too far away, a metre long green living thing was jumping around with a wooden pole on his hand. He was indeed the Fantasy Goblin after transformation.
"Damn it! This liar!"
Looking at how wretched this fella was, the Quan Zhen Sect became infuriated. F*ck! They were almost scared sh*tless by a wretched fella like this.
Everyone surrounded him without much hesitation and with a lot of anger.
At this moment, the Fantasy Goblin still had no idea that his illusion had been exposed. He was still holding his wooden pole and pretending to be the devil. When he saw that the Quan Zhen Sect players walking over, he even continued to raise his staff and acting. 
"Flourishing Stars!"
"Exploding Heavenly Stars!"
"Aggressive… Ge…"
Before the Fantasy Goblin could recite his last skill, Wang Yu had already arrived right in front of him as he lifted his hand to strangle the Fantasy Goblin.
The Fantasy Goblin after transformation was clearly left with the energy to talk. Without using much strength, Wang Yu could actually lift him off the ground. 
At that moment, everyone arrived at the scene as they started executing their attacks on the Fantasy Goblin. It didn't take long for the Fantasy Goblin to die.
"I will not forgive all of you!"
The greenish Fantasy Goblin left them with a vicious statement before turning into white light. Right before dying, he threw out a case.
<System Announcement: Under the leadership of Twilight City's City Lord, the players from Twilight City had to fight really hard to finally break free from the Mature Fantasy Goblin. Every player from Twilight City shall receive a piece of the cape fragment. Their heroic achievements shall be recorded in their history.> 
"This… What is going on…"
The moment the Fantasy Goblin died, the illusion disappeared and all the players finally realised what was going on. They instantly stopped attacking others and when they heard the system announcement, they were all astonished.
Damn it! Before they knew what was going on, they actually won… And the whole city won.
All the players looked at the cape fragment in their bag as they were at a loss for words.

During the system announcement, Wang Yu also received the system notification.
Twilight City's City Lord led his residents to defeat the Mature Fantasy Goblin. Fame +1000, main city merit points +100, Experience +… and all the other type of rewards. 
As the Twilight City's City Lord and the main force who killed the Mature Fantasy Goblin, the experience Wang Yu received was rather abundant. His experience bar was almost filled to the maximum and was only a little away from level 50.
The players from Quan Zhen Sect also did quite a bit so their experience and merit points were also abundant.
However, everyone didn't care about all these as they were more concerned about what was inside Wang Yu's case.
"Old Bull, open up and show us what is in it!"
As everyone urged Wang Yu, he opened up the case Fantasy Goblin threw.

There were not many rewards to begin with and the fragments they received might not be of their own job. This proved the difficulty of completing an entire set of a cape. At the end of the day, they could only exchange with other players.
Omnipotent Fragments were different because this could supplement or be used in place of any job cape. This saved the players a lot of trouble and there was no need to even discuss the price.
Who knew that the final Fantasy Goblin BOSS could actually give out something like that… The system actually didn't do a sloppy job and was actually sincere for once.

He knew that he was extremely serious in his attitude toward anything regarding the handling of cards. Hong Tao knew him even better, and he was also astonished at Zuo Tingyi.
Zuo Tingyi didn't know what he thought, and his expression was a little odd, "I've studied that card play set, and it's not as simple as it looks on its surface."
Hong Tao and Wang Ze looked at one another in dismay, and then turned toward him in unison waiting for the next step in the explanation.

A name flashed through his mind: Blockhead! The names of the card master and the scriptwriter were written on the card play. Blockhead and Copper, those two names reverberated all through the Eastern Wei Academy female student sector. Zuo Tingyi had no interest in the playwright Copper, but he was full of curiosity about the card master Blockhead. 
Hong Tao and Wang Ze were quite surprised, since that was their first time ever hearing Zuo Tingyi give anyone such a high evaluation. 
Hong Tao stammered out, "It doesn't seem likely. Isn't it said that this card play set is all first-level fantasy cards? If he's so awesome, then where did his awesomeness go?"
Zuo Tingyi's gaze as he looked at Hong Tao was as though he were looking at an idiot, "I don't discuss card making affairs with card making idiots." Hong Tao made a gesture to Wang Ze, which meant for him to come over.
Wang Ze mumbled "I'm not very familiar with card making either, although I've heard people say that those who can judge a card master's level don't consider what the star level of the card is, but rather his understanding of the principles of card making, and his understanding of energy."
Hong Tao nodded his head as though he both understood and didn't understand, and blurted out, "isn't that the same as with card artisans, that one doesn't look at how high the level of the card is that he's using, but rather one should look at how he wields the card, and controls its energy?"
"That's what I mean." Wang Ze very deliberately nodded his head, taking a look at Hong Tao, "Big brother Tao, you just need to be a little more flexible on your solid foundation, make a few more tries, and then you'll certainly be able to get further ahead."
Wang Ze and Hong Tao had long since become very familiar with one another. Hong Tao hadn't yet seen what Wang Ze's real strength was like, but on that day of field combat, those Star Academy students were extremely respectful toward him.
Hong Tao listened to what Wang Ze had to say, remembered it, and was enlightened by it.

Having tasted the sweetness, Chen Mu quickly felt more interested in knowledge related to the token card, and constantly blended token card knowledge into his fantasy card making. He found out that token card composition could greatly increase the efficiency of dynamic fantasy cards, while toward still fantasy cards it didn't provide much help. In making the same image with two cards, the one having the token card composition consumed much less perception than the ordinary fantasy card. 
But most of his energy was being spent on that mysterious card.
Finished? Is this already finished? Chen Mu was more or less haphazardly watching the illusion already in front of him, and unconsciously had already finished watching all of the fundamentals about the token card. 
When he had finished watching the last sentence, the fantasy realm which had been stable all along suddenly changed. It was a void as always, but the two cards which represented the fantasy card and the token card had both completely vanished. 
In front of him were twelve grey cards - dark grey - and one could vaguely make out the design on their surface, but if one wanted to look closely one would get nothing. 
Chen Mu tried to touch one of the cards, since he had used the method last time to touch-off the fantasy card and the token card. 
"Quasi water environment fantasy card. Required level; one star. Simulated water environment, can utilize a power card below three-star to energize it. The specific parameters are as follows:"
Chen Mu watched dumbly.
What kind of a fantasy card is a quasi water-environment fantasy card? From the above requirements, it should be able to simulate an environment in the water, but how could there be such a fantasy card? Maybe it was his own ignorance, Chen Mu comforted himself.
The detailed parameters which came before immediately allowed Chen Mu to understand the scheme of that mysterious card. It required him to make the twelve cards!
That was certainly the way it was! To prove it, Chen Mu touched each and every one.
Each of the cards was very strange, not only in ways that Chen Mu hadn't heard about, but in ways that he had never even thought about. And the requirements that had been indicated above were just bizarre. It was as though there were some swordfish fantasy card, and there were not only extremely stringent requirements regarding the swordfish's speed, it also demanded that the trajectory of their movements accord with extremely complicated rules. Shedding any light on that formula made his scalp tingle.
After touching the twelve cards, Chen Mu couldn't help sucking in a breath of cold air. 
Although he could understand what the cards were for, it was certain that not one of the cards would be easy to make, and that the degree of difficulty in making them was extremely high. Although most of them were still in the category of one-star or two-star fantasy cards, still, so far, Chen Mu didn't have a clue.
Among the twelve cards, eleven were fantasy cards, with the remaining one being a token card; it was fully and completely a token card.
Was he really expected to make those twelve cards? Chen Mu tasted something bitter in his mouth as he stared blankly at the twelve dark grey cards.

He was afraid that even if he dropped in all the money he had, it would still not be enough. After finally having enough cash on hand to live comfortably for a few days, never mind the heartache from spending so much, it would be a complete joke.
But in his heart, there was still this faint anticipation, if only . . . if only he could really make those twelve cards . . .
Having those fantasy cards with the bizarre requirements, what was most important was that there was only a single dedicated token card among the twelve cards! For those few days, what Chen Mu had been feeling the most was the power of the token card. He had only been using the token card techniques in the composition of the fantasy cards to get such great results as he had. And that dedicated token card? He didn't dare imagine!
It was just that kind of anticipation, or one might call it curiosity, which made Chen Mu decide in the end.

After his lordship was given Seraphim returned back to his circle in hell which now altered with a barrier separating his circle from the rest. Above ground it looked like a story book where fairytales came to life but with a pig in the center leading down to a hell that looks like a combination between cartoon, anime, and video game representation.

On a throne in a giant shining castle you would see a king in, in cartoons you can see Seraphim smirking as he felt everything was in his grasp as everything was not only part of his fantasy lordship but also his virtual reality lordship he is omniscient and omnipresent while in his domain. Nothing escapes his eyes he is everywhere and is everyone.

But that was only the beginning.

I never shared this story but here today with courage I'll speak up. This incident happened when I was 16. I used to live my life peacefully with some friends and family until that one day when I met him. Recently many people are shifting in my society and he was one of them I never thought we will become best friends within just 2 weeks, meeting him was like meeting a long lost friend. He understands me I don't have to say and he knows it. You must be thinking "is he even real Ishita"? Yes he was we even started dating because of my April's fool prank that 1 year dating was best date in my whole life but one day he made me question myself "was I even dating a real man?"

This year I turned 18 and not long ago I met him in park our regular meeting spot, he said "I want to give you a surprise" I said "alright" he closed my eyes and asked me to chant something three times and after that I will have to find him, he even told me where he will hide, that time I was laughing out so bad. What is wrong with this guy? Why is he acting so dumb? But he started throwing tantrums so I agreed and did what he asked after opening my eyes I went that place where he asked me to find him but I could not I waited there for 15 mins then I started searching him in whole society but won't able to find him I called him but that number doesn't exist so I took a bold step and went his home his father opened the door with a cold face I greeted him and asked "is your younger son at home?" He looked surprise and asked "can you repeat" I repeated and he said sorry daughter I only have one son. My heart came to my stomach it was like my whole world shattered. 

I went home and told my sisters everything and they asked me same question "who is he?" Since that day I don't know where he is or if even he was real because no one remember him not even a single human it was like I had my fantasy boyfriend for a year and now he's back in my fantasy.
