Michael stuck his tongue out at that reply, before realizing that he was sticking his tongue out at a figment in his own eye. He took a sip of his coffee and responded.

Michael frowned and started to ponder. After a few minutes, he tentatively asked another question.


"Could I use it to create a room that doesn't exist in the real world?"

"Then, what about a room that does exist in my memory? Could I make a door that normally opens to one place open to another instead?"

Pleased that his suspicions were correct, Michael decided to drill in on the other thing that had been bothering him.

<<Saying that your body will learn is a little inaccurate. It's more like transcription - the actions will be recorded and then written in to your procedural memory. Consider the difference like that between making a master record and a stamped one. When you are actually performing an action, it's like your body is the master record and the action is being absorbed directly through your body. What will happen through this process is more like a stamper will be 'generated' through the Lucid Space and then stamped onto your procedural memory.>>


"So... it's like a photocopy?"

"So how much are we talking about?"

Michael brightened at this one. He was most intrigued in this option, since it would, if it worked the way he thought it did, give him even more time to study. With the Mathematics competition coming up, he wanted all of the study time he could get!


"So, if I understand this one, when I sleep for 6 hours and spend it all in Lucid Space, I would have 9 hours in the space?"


<<Essentially, yes. It would feel like that much time, at least. There are a few scenarios where that wouldn't really apply, but none that are currently relevant.>>


Michael was tempted to ask what those scenarios would be, but he was pretty sure he knew what kind of response he would get.


"Let me guess, I haven't yet unlocked the associated information for those scenarios?"

Michael contemplated immediately selecting that option, but then hesitated.


"What about mental energy? Is this something  that can be done through mental energy?"

Michael blanched a bit at this and nodded.


"Still, it's possible... ok, last option, please."

Simple things like letting you read a book or sit down are straightforward, but you've probably noticed that there isn't any 'haptic feedback', for lack of a better term. That would require you to remember the texture of the material, understand the pressure applied, normal force, gravity, density of the materials, and a lot of other things.


For more complex scenarios, like your computer, for example, you'd need to understand a lot of additional interactions - including how all of the components of your computer interact, the principles behind the switches, your display, how your computer is powered... it is a very big list. Even just throwing an object becomes an exploration of a ton of different physical interactions.>>


Michael frowned. This was indeed quite tricky.


"And this module takes care of a lot of that?"


<<Correct. Essentially it provides a database of known laws and interactions, and adds 'processes' to maintain the simulation of those laws. Of course, the understanding of those laws directly impacts how closely the simulation matches reality - for some things, that doesn't really matter, but for others it could have a huge impact depending on the impact.>>


"What do you mean?"


<<Just that scientific models are best attempts to understand the underlying laws of the world, but they are just that - attempts. Things happen that contradict our understanding of the world all the time - this is because our understanding of the world is lacking.>>


Michael pondered that. It made sense - the Lucid Space was an extension of his own capabilities, memory, and understanding, after all. Still, these options were just 'helpers' - things he could do, or would be able to do eventually, given enough time and effort. Some of them were possible sooner than others.


He remained silent for a long while as he contemplated his options. Finally, he nodded.


<<Have you made a decision?>>


"I have. I choose Physical Synchronization."


<<Good choice. It will take a couple of hours to enable, and we can do that when you start resting this evening.>>


"Sounds good. Do I need to prepare anything, like that... supplement... from last night?"


<<Not this time. This will strictly be a matter of reprogramming some of the nanoconstruct fleet.>>


"Great," he sighed, relieved. He was not looking forward to trying to stomach that terrible soup again.

He shook his head. His eyes shined with an eager glint as he responded.


"Not yet. Now, it's time to get to work."

"Who-Who are you?" Daemon asked. The sight of this Godly man both fascinated and frightened him, "Were you the one who manipulated my body? How did you do that?"

"I thought you already have a bit of clue about it" The man answered with a heavenly smile

Daemon was stunned, " So-So you are my blood relative?" 

"Yes. I have connected with your mind and body because of our blood connection. I can see that those digusting bastards have washed your memory, poisoned your bone marrow and also blocked your true potential" He said politely but there was something very dangerous in that politeness

"Yes. So you know my past? You know who I am? Please tell me" Daemon asked sounding frantic

"Listen Daemon the memories that they washed off was a manipulated memory. Your true memory and identity has been suppressed by me and it is best if it remain that way when you are surrounded by them" The man explained in a soft authoritative manner.

"What? Why was my memory manipulated? What is going on? Am so confused" Daemon said feeling perplexed

"Calm down Daemon. You can not let such minor things affect you. You are born for a big purpose. Your memories were manipulated to prevent any potential threat on your life. I can't leave the place I m in right now, but someone will soon reach you. I will lift the manipulation once we meet. Whatever these people tell you, don't believe it"

"But why should I trust you? You haven't told me your identity. You can easily manipulate my mind and body. You manipulated my memory. How do I know that you are not telling lies? That you are not the true enemy" he asked suspiciously.

"You have every right to doubt me. Being blood relative doesn't automatically makes me trustworthy. Though, I can reverse manipulate your memory, it will be too dangerous" The Godly man said with a mild eye. 

"Why? Why will remembering my past be dangerous? What is so secretive about it" Daemon said impatiently.

"I understand your frustration. But you have to hold your patience. I can reverse-wash your memory but what you will remember is the manipulated memory. I can also detoxify your bone marrow" The Man said in an apologetic tone

Daemon thought he heard wrong. For more than three months he had been wondering how to detoxify his bone marrow and how to get his memories back and this man simply said he could do it?

"How-how can you do it?" Daemon asked, his voice trembling in anticipation

"I have just connected with your mind right now. For detoxification, I have to merge body, mind and soul. Like that you and I can be the very same person. I can use my Autemalum to rid you of poison and memory wash" The Man answered simply

Daemon was not sure how much he can trust his man even if he was his blood relative. He read about incidents in royal and aristocratic families where the blood relative have harmed each other. This man has such charismatic looks and his aura clearly shows how strong he is. For him, it won't be a big deal to kill him but then again he had not harmed him yet. Does he had some other purpose? No matter what, he had to take a risk.

"Please detoxify the poison" he said after much thinking.

"I know you couldn't trust me yet but I have to keep your identity and your true potential a secret. It is to keep you safe" The Man said regretfully,  " But I will do what I can. I will now merge our body, mind and soul. So, relax you breath, free you mind of all doubts and suspicion and meditate" The man instructed in a soothing voice

Daemon followed the instructions. He relaxed his breath, freed his mind of all negativity and immersed into his consciousness. He felt two different consciousness. The other consciousness was of the Godly man. Both the consciousness came closer, slowly merging with each other. The moment that happened he saw a scene indescribable by words. He saw a room which was made of pure ice. Even the furnitures were made of ice. The room looked like a room of mirror

"Daemon Concentrate" The man said

Daemon was so mesmerized by the sight that he lost focus. The man's word immediately brought him back to senses. The split second that he lost focus, interrupted the merging process of consciousness.  He again immersed into his consciousness and felt the other Man's consciousness. He felt all his five senses merging. It was like he was someone else. Once the five senses merged, he heard the Man say,
"Our minds have merged, now, concentrate on your body; blood, bone, muscle, nerves everything" he patiently instructed

Daemon did as he was told. He could feel his blood running through his nerves over his bones and muscles. He felt the presence of the Man's body. The blood flowing in his body, started flowing slowly. His muscle relaxed inspite of himself. This feeling was rather very odd. He saw the other body connect to his nerve by nerve. He started losing touch with his own body. The muscle he felt were both his and that man's. As the bone started merging, he had a strange sensation like his body had suddenly gotten bigger and stronger. The Man's and his muscles, blood and even bone everything were working together even their hearts were beating together. It was such a weird sensation that he almost lost his focus again. But forced himself to keep concentrating. After the body merging was over, he heard the man say

"Very good Daemon. Don't lose your focus. Now, finally Soul merging. Since, we are of the same bloodline, we share a part of soul with each other. Once our souls merge, we will be one person" 

Daemon nodded to himself. He was actually feeling pretty uncomfortable but he endured. The soul merging didn't take as much time as the other two. He saw a whitish vapour light somewhere between his solar plexus and belly. This whitish vapour light was changing colours. He saw another vapour light just beside his which was changing colour too. In the middle of these vapour light was something that was glowing. He saw both of them coming closer. It was merging slowly. He saw both the glowing parts coincide. The moment it coincide, the souls merged. Now, it felt to Daemon like they both are just one person now. 

"Well done. Now, I ll detoxify your marrow. Don't lose focus otherwise, I ll get interrupted in the process"

Daemon said Yes. The Man activated his Autemalum. Daemon suddenly felt like his body was overflowing with power. He can't believe how strong this guy was. He could kill him with one finger. Unwillingly, he felt scared and wary.

"Daemon keep focussing. I told you to stop having doubts. If I want to kill you, no one can stop me. I have no reason to use such complicated route. I am trying to help you so at least have a bit of faith in me" he scolded Daemon

Daemon was still not fully convinced but he focussed back again. He could think of nothing this guy has done which can gain his trust but he is right about one thing, he could easily kill him which he didn't, so unintentionally he did have a bit of faith in him.

He felt the Autemalum circulate in his body. He could see a bluish white vapour light, which he guessed was the Man's Autemalum, seeping in his bone. He felt a sharp pain in his body. 
"The poison is resisting my Autemalum. How long has it been since it entered your body?" the man spoke lost in deep thought

"More than four months" Daemon answered nervously

"Those scums" the man cursed

"Is it not possible to cure it?" Daemon asked, his heart beating very fast

"It can be. But the proces would be, unfortunately, painful" the man sighed, "The poison had remained in your marrow for too long, polluting your blood and corroding almost 70% of your marrow" the Man said calmly but being connected Daemon could sense the Man's deep hatred in the words. 

"Daemon, be strong. I will get rid of it" he said 

Daemon could only nod and prepare himself mentally to fight off the pain.

When Mao Miaomiao opened his eyes, He found himself lying on a grassland.

I have 37,400sp left so I have decided to buy a power to fill out my power slots, I really hope that I get a good enough power 'ok system buy me a power.'

ok, now that is pretty interesting, I can trade powers in for system points and I'm guessing that I can get more than ten thousand system points if the power is strong enough. right now my amalgamation, treasure detection, and cartoon physics are necessary so the only powers that I could give up are unstable surface activity and energy generation, and out of those two energy generation is the most useful.

in the past four months, I have gained 1,801,200sp. the huge increase in system points is due to my experimentation with amalgamation. a new discovery that I made was that if I mix an amalgamated metal with muscle fiber from a dead animal then the muscle fibers will gain the properties of the metal and will perform its purpose when energy is run through them. with this discovery, I hope to one day make an armor that runs off of my energy generation power using the amalgamated metals as armor platings and the synthetic muscle fibers as a way to give me increased strength and speed I could even enchant the armor once I learn magic.
for me to be able to build the suit  I want, I would need a lot of knowledge in both mechanical engineering and human biology, I will also probably need knowledge in coding and computer systems in general, having an ai would probably make controlling a suit like the one I'm planning on making so I will need to study about artificial intelligences.
