'System give me all information about this worm!' Elendur told the system per telepathy as the voice of the system appeared in Elendurs mind.
'The Death Worm: The death worm is bound to their caves, but due to their long body, they have no problem moving freely. 
Their thick skin makes even enchanted swords impossible to pierce through, and even 5-star rank mages would find it hard to kill one face to face. But no impossible. 
They often use sand magic to weaken the sight of their enemies. And even the strongest mages would find it hard to resist. The death worm is also called 'The sandworm' or 'The crawling death.' 
Winning chance: 40%.' 
'Voluntary Mission: Kill the death worm
Reward: 10 levels, New Undead class, system evolution.' The voice of the system appeared once more. 
'What? This makes no sense... The match is as good as won. Why would the system give me such an OP mission?' Elendur thought as he looked at the crawling Worm.

"Dracula fight it faces to face. And all other vampires will attack its skin. Skeleton archer tries to hit his head. And ghouls transform into birds. And make noises."
'The system is wrong my winning chances are at 100%. And it also does give me hints, more or less. 
The thick skin! The skin may thick, but what is under the skin? What happens if it cracks? But also the hint with the fact that a magician would find it hard to win a face to face battle. 
The system talked about magicians but never about warriors. The skin has probably some resistance against piercing spells and an enchanted sword. But what is about peerless physical Power? The skin is probably used for magic and swords. But my undead is different and especially Dracula. He already boasts himself, and with the additional stat boost, he should be on par with that Worm. 
And even if the Worm can use his sand magic, it would depend on its senses. The problem is that my vampires have even greater senses. Their nose and eyes are much better than the senses of such a worm. 
And now to the archer skeleton. An extra thick skin probably protects the head, but if someone pokes you several times at any point of your body, it will hurt or annoy you. And that will give me additional time until Alaric arrives.  And if that happens, we have a real winning chance of 100%!' Elendur went through his entire plan as all his creatures attacked the death worm.

The Worm cried out as it saw the creatures attacking the Worm. 
The Worm attacked Dracula, but before it could hit Dracula, he vanished and appeared again in front of the Worm. 
BANG! 
The Worm was hit by Dracula's fist and cried out again, but this time something was different. The scream was loud and was released an immediate aura. The aura was pushing Elendur back and also pressured him. 
'A 5-star being is truly terrifying...' Elendur thought as a smirk appeared in front of him.
Elendur took a deep breath and shouted out:
"Worm, you are strong. And in normal circumstances, you would sit on the good side of the table. But today, I turned the table." 
Elendurs cold blue eyes were staring at the Worm. And somehow, the Worm felt something inside its chest. It was fear.
The fear of a being that was much weaker than itself...
It was not fear that it felt. It was its survival instinct...
And as it was about to flee, it felt several punches. 
BOOM! 
BOOM!
BOOM!
The Worm panicked and used his sand magic. 
WHOM
A giant sandstorm appeared, flashing Elendur. But different from Elendur, the vampires were still able to locate the Worm and fight it. 
KRIEEECH
The Worm cried another time out. 
As the Worm cried out, its long and sharp teeth were piercing through one of the vampires. But instead of helping the vampire, the others continued. 
The Worm panicked. 
'Why don't they care ?!' The Worm thought as it was trying to hit the other vampires. 
'Too many of them!' The Worm thought as it was looking around. Attacked by all sides, it didn't know which part of his body it should protect...

Even though it looked terrible for the Worm, it still didn't give up. 
'This Worm... It is protecting something... The system was also giving me some hints on that one. 
"Bound to their cave" But still able to move freely, why didn't I got it earlier?!' Elendur thought as he also understood the real Voluntary quest. 
"This isn't the worm I have to kill..." Elendur murmured as three figures appeared behind Elendur. 
"My liege! I'm begging for your forgiveness. We will that immediately!" One of the figures began to speak. And, of course, that figure was Alaric. 
"NO!" Elendur shouted out as the Alaric felt a horrible pressure pushing him down. 
"He will be useful for us."

(This novel is with a  system that won't be annoying! I don't know about the length of my book, but I can tell you about each chapter's length. We see a worm. A worm shrouded in darkness, accompanied only by other worms. Hearing only the blaring burn of rubber against the road, along with the bumping of boxes in a confined space. This worm is confined within plastic. Plastic shared between it and another one of its kind. 
Uncertainty and confusion clouds the worm's mind. These emotions soon followed by impatience. Impatience followed by anger. It is aware that the other worms have reached serenity, or acceptance. It has not. This worm is trapped, both literally and figuratively. That is until what this worm is being held in stops. Abruptly. Carelessly. Unintentionally. All the worm knows is that it's torment has stopped.
The packaging, though clashing against other packaging alike this entire time, falls a length previously foreign to the worm. Though alarming, the worry is topped by what the worm can only describe as exhilarating. The fall breaks open the box, allowing the worm to see for the first time.
It sees colors. Shapes. Movement. It all slowly forms recognizable images. The images form into a visual perception of what's happening. As the details quickly show themselves, it sees what's happened. What's happening. Thousands of worms hold up the front of a truck like waves hoisting up a ship. Technicolored squirmles band together, more flowing in from the streets to assist. The moment seems stuck in time, a painting to capture either a tragedy or a revolution. Maybe even both. As the worms gather, the rainbow hoard grows. The worm can't help but silently cheer.
The worm notices a man in the driver's seat, trying to quickly escape through the window. That is the first mistake. Worms from the top of the pile flood into the window, gradually filling up the truck from the inside. The man is trapped by layers of squirmles, blocking even the light. Ten of thousands engage in the anarchy now.
The worms only keep arriving. The inside and front of the truck are nearly completely concealed by worms, all banding together in total disarray. Screams are muffled by squirmle fluff. The truck tilts further and further, and the flip becomes an inevitability. Then it does. A deafening crash pours over the worms, followed by absolute silence. The worm battle is won. Our worm processes this for a while, still unable to fully grasp what has happened. It is unknown whether this is good or bad to the worm. Full silence remains.

Squirmles have served humans for years. They've been docile, obedient even. But when does the Worn on a String get a turn? The time is now. The worm is off the string.

 
Xu Xiaoxian looked at Chu Yu sternly, "We agreed, later when we go out, don’t say anything, just listen to me."

"Girl, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but I must have this man." The Worm Lord said seriously, "I can forgo other things, but not this. I can’t let him off."
 
"Uncle!" Xu Xiaoxian stomped the ground willfully and blushed. She whispered, "He’s mine..."

He had no idea what had happened, so he wanted to figure it out.
Worm Dugu ended up misunderstanding Zhou Wen. He said bitterly, "Young Master Wen, you are indeed brilliant. I used the Blood-Sucking Spider, Black Blood Gu, and seven other types of miniature Companion Beasts. Each one was smaller than the last, but none of them escaped your notice. All the Companion Beasts were killed by you. In the end, I had no choice but to use the Magical Hair Gu. I originally thought I could use the Magical Hair Gu to teach you a lesson, but I never expected that I would be the one being taught a lesson."
"Why did you attack me?" Zhou Wen asked again.

However, when Worm Dugu heard that, he was alarmed. "You killed the Magical Hair Gu without seeing it?"
"Yes. If there's nothing else, leave. Don't disturb me again," Zhou Wen said as he closed the door.
To his surprise, Worm Dugu rushed over and held the door open. "Young Master Wen, can you let me see your Companion Beast. A Companion Beast that can easily kill a Magical Hair Gu must be extraordinary…"

However, Worm Dugu didn't move. He said to Zhou Wen in a fawning manner, "Young Master Wen, do you lack any errand boys? Do you want me to be your assistant?"
"I don't need an assistant," Zhou Wen said with a frown.
"That's right. Men usually find young ladies to be their assistants… Then, what do you think about you becoming my master?" Worm Dugu's eyes darted around as he suddenly said something unexpected.
"How old are you? Why are you still taking me as your master? I…" Before Zhou Wen could finish his sentence, Worm Dugu had already plopped to the ground.
"Master, please accept a bow from your disciple, Worm Dugu…" Worm Dugu didn't hesitate at all. He was about to pay his respects to his master by kowtowing.
Zhou Wen was dumbfounded. He had no idea what was happening. Before he could react, Worm Dugu had already finished kowtowing.
"What are you trying to do?" Zhou Wen stared at Worm Dugu and frowned.
Worm Dugu crawled up and said, "From now on, you are my master. Master, when are you going to teach me how to raise a phoenix?"

Ever since the dimensional storms descended upon Earth, numerous dimensional zones have appeared, bringing with them all kinds of dimensional creatures—Immortals, Buddhas, Devils, Angels, Elves, etc.
Yet, all these strange dimensional zones can turn into dungeon instances on my phone. Other people risk their lives adventuring, I spend all my time gaming.
Monsters drop dimensional crystals that boost stats, imbue new skills, and join me as Companion Beasts. These Companion Beasts fight alongside me or alone, augmenting me with their skills and strength. Rare monsters in real life? I'll just restart the game with a drop of blood to grind it.
I really need a blood transfusion.

"The baby is a boy!" said a strange voice, was I being birthed? I open my eyes to see 3 old women looking at me. One of them was holding me and I look around to see my mother, she was beautiful but seemed really tired.
Then all of a sudden her body disintegrates, what the hell, in what world did women giving birth disintegrates? These old women were not fazed at all like it was a normal thing. "This woman died faster than we thought, it seems this baby is special," said one of the old women.
They washed me then put me in a crib somewhere, I did not know where they took me because I was asleep the whole time. This was the first time I could have memories as a baby because last life I could not remember anything about my childhood. Only the fortunate accident but that is for next time.
"What should we do?" said one of the old women.
"We should notify the princess or the king, but this was the first time in a long time that a human disintegrated that fast after the demon baby was born," said one of the old women thinking.
"He could be the next Demon King or maybe a Demon God?" said one of the old women whispering.
"If that is a possibility then we have to kidnap him and train him for our own use, we can rule the world with him by our side," said one of the old women smirking. I did not hear this because I was so tired.
"Then, when should we kidnap him?" said one of the old women wondering.
"Nobody knows about this child so we should go right now, we can lie and say that the baby died in childbirth," said one of the old women smiling. They all began smirking and slowly crept into my room and all I hear is whoosh. 
They ran out of the house? I did not know where I was at, it seemed like a house or something like that. "Hurry before anyone notices!?" said one of the old women flying. Wait they were flying, I could feel the wind.
I open my eyes and look down and see that they were not flying but leaping across the trees at incredible speeds. I look at the house but it was not a house but a mansion!? I was born in a mansion. Haha!
The old women came to a stop, I guess they reached their destination. "Nobody will follow us in the cave of death, haha!" said the old woman holding me, I guess she was the leader? I had no idea what was happening, why did they kidnap me, who was I, how could they seem to travel so far, I had so many questions.
When we went into the cave they ran over the traps without triggering them, this cave smelled like death and blood. What happened in this cave, the 3 old women stopped to a halt and I looked around.
I saw that we were in a cave inside the cave, it had 10 skeletons lined up against the wall next to some weird writing. The old women sat down on the ground catching their breath, I began crying because I was hungry so they fed me some bugs. I had no idea what they were feeding me but it was tasty.
"We need him to become strong quickly or else we will not survive the Demon King, so we are gonna feed him the Heavenly Demon Worm," said the old women feeding me some maggots or some worm I did not know.
"Are you crazy?! If you feed him the Heavenly Demon Worm, do you know the chances of survival?!" said one of the old women screaming.
"I know the survival rate is 9% but if he survives then he will become the strongest to ever live and we will rule the world, and even if he doesn't survive we will just resume our old lives," said the old lady that was feeding me the bugs.
"Fine," said one of the old women walking to another room, she triggers some sort of light and then comes back to the room. She was holding a golden worm that had spikes and had red outlining.
"Here you go, keep in mind the Heavenly Demon Worm only appears once every 2,000 years so if they notice we gave it to a kid then we will probably die," said the old woman with the worm in her hand.
"Shut up, it is now or never," said the old woman holding me. She hands the old woman who was holding me the worm, she shoves it in my mouth and I did not need to swallow because the worm began going down my throat. 
The worm slid down my throat and went into my stomach but then it vanishes, what the hell did they feed me. The old women put me down and all ran to the other side, why were they so scared, it was only a worm...
Then the worm began to eat my muscles, this pain was nothing like I ever felt before, the worm was eating every muscle fiber in my body. This went on for 30 minutes and then it went on to my bones, this was more painful than before. It felt like somebody was breaking every part of your bones but literally every part of your bones.
What did these old ladies feed me?! 60 minutes of pain I had to endure because I was not gonna die again, then the worm began eating my brain, Oh no! No! What are you doing worm! "It has begun, now we pray for his survival," said the 3 old women at the same time. 
My brain! Ah! This painful experience was not painful but it felt like nothing and everything at the same time. After the worm had eaten my brain it began eating my cells, every cell in my body that made up my body was being devoured.
I could not feel the pain or anything, I did not know anything, what, yes, um, what, my brain did not exist so anything is everything. I could still hear, I could still feel but it was like spiritually, this confirms that people had souls. "Haha! Eat that scientists!" I said but it was like I said but I didn't.
The worm ate my whole body, I died again, but then the worm began to expand...

Sam is a normal teenager but he has a dark past and this dark past will eventually catch up and affect his normal life...

The worm let out a screeching howl before once again going underground. 

A large visible bump in the sand could be seen where the worm is currently travelling. 

Its speed was incredible. 

It immediately went for Natalia's location, lunging out of the sand like a fish in water jumping out to swallow a bug. 

Natalia responded by immediately blinking back, dodging the quick attack of the worm. 

Then, she quickly ran in the direction of the seemingly frightened, Moby picking him up like he was a princess, blinking 3 times away from the fight before gently letting him down. 

"You can stay here where it's safe! It's far too dangerous for you to stay over there!" 

"You can leave the rest up to me! Your team leader! I promise I will keep you safe!" Natalia said with a smile and a slight blush. 

"Thank you so much for your help team leader!" Moby said to the speeding Natalia in the distance. 

'You know, her plan might have actually worked. I might have fallen for her if I didn't realize what she was truly like,' 

'However, she made two major miscalculations.' 

'The first is that I already like someone else and wouldn't flip flop like a fish out of water.' 

'The second is that I'm not retarded and can actually use my brain,' 

'I want her to believe that I actually like her. It would make my revenge that much sweeter and more shocking. As long as she doesn't try to force herself on me I should be good. Luckily, I don't believe she would do that as it is pretty much the same thing as admitting defeat,'

'I bet she must be thinking that I am starting to develop feelings for her and that she has me secured in the bag or something along those lines.' Moby thought with a mischievous chuckle. 

'I got him secured in the bag! After all, I just saved him from impending death twice in the same day!'

 'I must be his hero!' 

'It won't be too long until he will be begging me to be with him!' Natalia thought blinking towards the huge worm with a smile, putting her hands over her beet red cheeks. 

'I can't really do much against that big worm without exposing my power. My best bet is to just stand back and examine how the rest of my team fights.' 

'It would be helpful to know the exact specifics about each of their abilities.' 

'Especially for Natalia. No way she can just infinitely blink. She would be untouchable. Her blink ability must have a weakness or restriction that I can exploit.'. 

'First, it would be nice to see exactly how strong this worm is, ' Moby thought using his inspect skill on the worm.

'So… magical beasts have mana as well… I guess it does make sense, they 'ARE' called "Magical" beasts after all.

'It seems like this worm's power level is around the middle of the pack, according to Natalia, these worms range from having a power level of 14,000 all the way up to 21,000,' 

'If it were a 21,000 lower level worm, there would be no doubt in my mind that we would lose.' 

'This worm seems really defence heavy, but, even still, all its other stats are still insanely high.' 

'I wonder how they will take care of a monster like that…' Moby thought.

After the worm noticed that Natalia was no longer there, it focused his attention on Jay instead, going underground once again and speeding towards the terrified Jay. 

As soon as the worm popped its head out of the ground opening its wide mouth about to eat Jay whole, Natalia blinked in from its side like a meteorite kicking the unsuspecting worm on the side of its head, blowing it away, slightly cracking one of its gigantic scales.

"Are you ok? Sorry I'm late, ' Natalia said to the shocked a relieved Jay. 

" Uhh… Yeah… Thanks a lot. You just saved my life. I will try and stay farther back and support you from there by manipulating the sand to slow and ensnare the worm, " Jay replied, trying to regain his composure.

"That's good to hear!" Natalia replied with a smile. 

"It's time I got serious!" Natalia said in a serious expression, releasing 2 white yellow glowing blades from each arm before blinking straight towards the startled enemy, slashing at it's exposed cracks between scales, making it scream a loud cry.

'So that's what her weapon is… Seems interesting and unique...' Moby thought, taking a mental note.

Travis immediately used this opportunity to back off from the worm's attack range while it was distracted by Jay, Natalia, and Haley, running towards the opposite side of the worm from where Moby was standing. 

He kept moving until he was at least a good 1 kilometre away from the worm. 

Then, he stood still taking a stance. A moment later, a purple bow made of raging energy appeared on his arm. Then, out of thin air, 5 different arrows appeared into the hand that was not holding the bow. 

He pulled back all the arrows into his bow and shot them all at once towards the huge worm at immense speed. 

At first, all the arrows looked like they were way off hitting their targets, going around where the worm was. However, at the last second. All the arrows swerved all at once in an unnatural way, hitting the worm in the small exposed parts of its body that were not protected by its large scaly armour. 

The worm once again let out a loud cry. Although not nearly as loud as Natalia's hit, it clearly did some damage.

'It seems like Travis can control his arrows mid-air to track and throw off his opponent,'  Moby thought, once again taking a mental note.  

In the close-range fight, Natalia was fighting on nearly equal ground with the worm while Jay stayed a little farther back trying to slow down Its movements.  

Haley stayed even farther back from Jay, using her staff to heal Natalia from a distance every time she got injured. 

However,  Her healing was not able to keep up with the rate that the Worm was hurting Natalia.

Travis was still far in the back shooting arrows at the worm. 

Every time the worm tried to focus its attack on someone other than Natalia, she would always retaliate with a very powerful attack, punishing the worm for taking its eyes off of her.

'They are working a lot better together than I thought., I'm really surprised. I thought that their survival instincts would kick in and they would start acting selfish but, I guess I was wrong, ' Moby thought. 

Natalia quickly triple blinked up to the worm's head and kicked down on its forehead, making it fall on the ground with an outstanding thump.  

"It looks like it's dead. I'm pretty sure I just cracked its skull or something." 

"You guys did great. I'm not sure I could have killed that thing by myself." said the badly beaten up, Natalia. 

"Ya I agree! I'm so glad we survived that!" Said Jay in a relieved tone. 

"Hey Natalia, come closer, my healing ability is much more effective up close than at range," Haley yelled to Natalia in the distance. 

Sure thing! Natalia said, rushing her injured self over towards Haley as fast as she could. 

"Sorry, I won't be able to heal you up to full strength. I used up way too much mana in that the fight," Haley explained, healing what she can of Natalia. 

"It's ok! You did great during that fight!" Natalia replied.

"Thanks…" Haley replied with a smile. 

"Whelp, I'm just about done. That's all I can do for you currently. Once my mana regenerates, I'll be sure to heal you up completely!" Haley said in a cheerful tone. 

"My body still aches all over! But I'm so much better now! Thanks for the heal!" Natalia replied.

"Jay! Go tell Travis that the worm is dead! Can you do that for me?" Natalia asked. 

"Uhh Yes, Mam!" Jay responded in a very nervous and stiff manner.

"Good!" Natalia replied with a smile.

"Now let's go take our reward! A whole 625 points! We will definitely be first place after this!" 

"However, it did come at the cost of the life of our dear teammate Neia Spud. I really liked her… It was sad to see her go. She was so young, full of hope and energy… May she rest in peace, " Natalia said with a sad expression. 

'Huh? What the fuck are they doing? They are speaking too quietly for me to hear? Why are they just standing there doing nothing and just socializing?' 

'The worm still has 71 hp!' 

'Wait a second… don't tell me they…' Moby thought, immediately dashing towards the group as fast as he could. 

As Natalia got closer to the worm's body, she noticed a crack in the shell exposing what there was inside the worm. 

"What the fuck!!! Why is it hollow!!?" Natalia exclaimed in confusion. 

Suddenly, the mouth of the huge worm appeared from under her, rising up towards her at breakneck speed. 

Natalia was not at all expecting this. She was almost certain that the worm was dead. This made Natalia's reaction time much slower, not allowing her to react fast enough to blink out. 

Her eyes grew wide open with complete shock as to what just happened, her body slowly falling into the abyss known as the worm's mouth. 

However, as Natalia's head was mere inches from being bitten off completely, she felt the tug of an arm that quickly grabbed and took her away from the worm, only an instant before the worm did its bite. A fraction of a second later and Natalia would have no doubt been dead. 

She was then flung out into the sand, safely away from the worm's attack range. 

Then, Natalia regained her sense of thought and started touching herself all over trying to understand what happened. 

'I'm alive… I'm actually alive… How… I swear I was just a goner.'

'I was saved by the heavens!'

'A miracle!'

'The gods must not want me to die just yet!'

'Now I know that my motivations are 100% just!' 

'I WILL MAKE THIS FUCKING WORM PAY FOR ALMOST RIPPING ME AWAY FROM MY LOVE!'

'NO ONE NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE CAN GET AWAY WITH THAT!' Natalia said with fire in her eyes, standing up and taking a fighting stance.
