-=Notice: Now that I have 3 chapters uploaded, either before the next chapter or after, I will be expanding these chapters. I think they're too rushed, and none of Luke's actions are followed. His backstory will remain avoided for the most part until later, but I hope those of you who choose to follow along will appreciate that and also the revamps to the current chapters. This is my first go at a Fantasy based world.=- chapter 1 revised.

14 year old Luke Conroe is just starting his new life. Leaving everything behind, he aims to define himself as he wants, not how they wanted him. His first stop, is the renowned Trasklyn Academy, where anyone, with the right qualifications, can attend. 

The question is, can he really have that new life? Or will he get dragged back to the one he is running away from?

After completing her revenge for the murder of her family she was struck by lightning and fell into the sea.
Waking up to find herself in a strange new world she finds a new purpose in protecting her new family and will do whatever it takes to accomplish this.
He is the leader of the strongest group in existance. He is worshipped by some and feared by others but cares not about anything or anyone.
This changes when he meets a certain little demon who creates an ache in his chest and a feeling of piece when he is with her. The problem is that the little demon is slippery as she keeps escaping his grasp.

At that time, would he still need to mobilize Qiao Nan to clean up Zhou Xing's mess?
He had to think of a way to prevent such a situation from occurring.
"Grandpa, can you stop talking?" What Zhou Xing hated the most was having other people talk to her about life principles. She was no three-year-old. She understood whatever she had to understand, but it did not matter whether she understood them or not. She would still not do whatever she was unwilling to do. "Didn't you say that we should find somewhere to have a chat? It's just as well. My stomach has something to say to you."
The situation today had been awkward enough. Thankfully, only one person had witnessed that scene. If any more people had been present, she would probably lose all respect and not even need to study in her school anymore.
Based on just his appearance, Zhou Xing knew in her heart that her grandpa might act as though he cared for her, but in reality, her grandpa was biased toward Qiao Nan's family.
Her grandma had told her long ago that even when her mom was still around, her grandpa had favored Qiao Nan and treated her mom badly. That was why after the divorce that year, her grandma had chosen to take her mom. As expected, her grandpa had chosen to take Qiao Nan.
At that time, her grandpa had already made such a decision. Qiao Nan's three children had been raised by this grandpa. As for her, this was her first time meeting her grandpa. Zhou Xing was no fool. She knew exactly who was important and who was not in her grandpa's heart. "Grandpa, there's no one else here. Why don't you just say whatever you have to say? I'll listen to whatever pleases me. Whatever I think is inappropriate, I'll just treat it as though we're chatting leisurely."
"What kind of attitude is that? I'm your biological grandpa, your elder. Everything I say is for your good. What do you mean that you'll listen to whatever pleases you and ignore whatever you think is inappropriate?" Qiao Dongliang stared wide-eyed at Zhou Xing. He almost choked after hearing Zhou Xing preempting him.
Zhou Xing raised her hand in refusal. "That may not necessarily be true. I have so many elders, but my dad. My birth father was intent on taking money from my pocket to help him support that vixen and to raise that favorite son of his from that vixen. My dad treats that mother-and-son pair extremely well. Even the child from her previous marriage is much more lovable than me in my father's eyes. Elder? Elders have never been reliable. Grandpa, you should know that you're just about the same. After my mom passed away and my dad remarried, my life in the Zhou family was never easy. However, I never once saw you coming to express your concern as a grandpa, or even just to visit me."
In her most difficult times when she needed the most help, her grandpa did not even appear. Now that she was grown up and had a little capability, as well as her own judgment, she would not be so courteous to a grandpa with no conscience who suddenly appeared in front of her.
If she had to listen to everyone else's words, she would have long ago been gobbled up by her own father and that vixen, so much so that there would only be her bones left.
"All right. What do you want to chat about?" She was used to being courteous after being impolite. As long as she stated her requirements right from the start, she could not be blamed for anything that happened afterward. Neither could her grandpa say that she was disrespecting her elders. After all, it was her grandpa who had done it knowingly. What could she do?
Qiao Dongliang's lips were tightly pursed together. "I cannot confirm what nonsense you've heard from Ding Jiayi. You've said that you're grown up and you have your own judgment. That's fine. I'll tell you all about how your mom grew up with Nan Nan. I'll see if you truly have your own judgment."
Ding Jiayi had definitely only told Zhou Xing that Zijin had died under Nan Nan's wheel. There was no way this was the only incident between the sisters throughout their childhood together. If Ding Jiayi had not created so much animosity in the first place and caused the resentment in Zijin's heart to accumulate, all that would never have happened.
"That's what happened. Your mom… was completely brought astray by Ding Jiayi. I think your mom's attitude before her death is solid proof of everything. You can't listen to just Ding Jiayi alone on this matter. You also have to listen to what other people say to get a better picture of the whole situation. I dare say that Nan Nan had never done anything wrong to your mother. Your mom… I won't pass judgment on whatever she had done. You said you have your own judgment. Take time to think. Your mom is already gone. If it's possible, I hope that you have a better image of your mom."
There was no way Nan Nan should be blamed for any of these things happening. It was always Zijin bullying Nan Nan, and all these happened because Ding Jiayi had led Zijin astray. Without the foundations laid by Ding Jiayi, Zijin would never have grown up this way.
Zhou Xing remained silent for quite a while. It was clearly her first time hearing whatever Qiao Dongliang had just told her. After a long while, Qiao Dongliang wondered if Zhou Xing actually believed him. Then, Zhou Xing asked in a slightly different tone, "How do I know that whatever you're saying is the truth? You can't possibly deny that Qiao Nan is more important than my mom in your heart, right?"
In that case, whatever her grandpa had said was simply unfair. It was understandable that he was used to speaking for Qiao Nan and thinking from her point of view. Knowing that, she had to take her grandpa's words with a huge pinch of salt.
"Ha…" Qiao Dongliang could not help but chuckle bitterly. "I've always thought that my heart should be biased toward Nan Nan since I took Nan Nan and Ding Jiayi took your mom after our divorce. But in reality, I know that's not the case. I got a divorce from Ding Jiayi because she made too much trouble, so much so that Nan Nan almost lost the opportunity to further her studies. Think about what benefits I could bring to your younger aunt at the time I divorced Ding Jiayi. I let Ding Jiayi have the Qiao family's house in the small courtyard. If I had not done so, your mom wouldn't even have had a roof over her head after I got divorced from Ding Jiayi." 
Similarly, without the Qiao family's house, he and Nan Nan were both homeless and had no choice but to rent an apartment.
"It can be said that Ding Jiayi spent all our family's money in order to let your mom study in The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. That was why I almost died because I had no money to pay for my surgery. The only thing of value in our family was that house that I left to Ding Jiayi and your mom. He had done some of these things subconsciously without proper thought about what his goals and intentions were. Now that he was old and had a lot of free time, Qiao Dongliang could not help but reminisce about the past.
The more he thought about the past, the more he realized that he had done much wrong to Qiao Nan. At his age now, the only thing he could do for Qiao Nan was to settle the matter with Zhou Xing so that Zhou Xing would not be a source of trouble for Qiao Nan in the future.


Qiao Nan: Crap! I am your biological daughter, yet I am treated as if I was picked up from the streets. In fact, you treat me worse than that!

Mother Qiao: Qiao Nan, you are not as pretty or smart as your elder sister. You are not as blessed as her. You have no right to study, marry, or to have your happiness!

He ended the show with a very heavy heart, looking at all the landlines with those sorrowful eyes.

"Eli..???" Didi called him. "yes..." he came back from very far away. "when are you going to tell us the new format for your show?? she asked while looking up the documents. It's been 3 years.. he thought while looking at her, she was Didi, the PD of "THE PLAYLIST".  
"I'm still thinking about it." He said it while stretching his arms. "I'm leaving now, see you all tomorrow." "He have this look again." she thought while looking at his back. 
It was 3 in the morning when he reached his apartment. "Ahh.." he jumped on the bed. A face appeared in front of closed eyes. He opened his eyes immediately and after staring at the roof for a while he left for shower. 
"I'd probably get some sleep with this". he thought while looking at the medications. after taking the pills he stared the roof again lying in the bed. That face appeared in front of him once again. that blurry image of someone laughing, "what a beautiful smile it is." That was the last thought to come up before he went to her world.

She took off the headphone while looking at his picture. it was a part of her routine to listen to his show. "At least I'm able to listen his voice" she thought. 
"Bella the show ended".  Amy told her while looking at her. 
"she's not here once again". she thought.
"I'm here Amy". she knew what would be Amy thinking of her.
"Hmm.. go to sleep now, it's our first day tomorrow". Amy told her while hugging her from behind.
The song ended long ago. she turned off her laptop and went to bed.
"Bella.. how would it feel if he ever called my name?". she thought and tried to imagine it while fighting with dreams and lost to the sleep.

"Amy...Amyyyy!! Wake up we're late. Come on wakeup Amy." she tried her best to wake her up but she knew it won't work on her. "arghhhh" she gave up on waking her up and left hurriedly for the college.
It was her first day at the campus and she didn't wanted to be late on her very first day. 
"Freshers gather around the fountain please". The teacher was almost shouting. After finding her class, she called Amy to see if she woke up or not. "how could you leave me here and went on your own" Amy screamed. "calm down Amy, you know your sleeping habits better than me, I tried but.." 
"Anyways I enrolled your name, so hurry up ill wait for you in cafe. I even skipped the breakfast" she said while taking a look at the timetable. 
The Cafe was almost full with freshers and other students. Soon She found a spot for herself . She heard some boys making noises when she was texting Amy. She tried to ignore but then she felt someone was standing next to her.


When a radio jockey found his love, the songs felt more meaningful.

Amelia knew it was never going to be easy for her to get her sister back her. hell she would have neve though of that in the last hour. but now that she had had time to properly thin with all these people around her, she felt ready to face her sister.
this time she was not going to be doing that because of her anger. she wate to do that because she needed closure. she was desperate for that. lately she had been desperate for a lot of things. but maybe that was juts one of the many chain reactions of her reappearance.
everything was already starting to get crazy and she had not even revealed herself to the world yet. she couldn't help but miss alexander.
alex always had the solution to their problems. he always was the big gus with a soft heart. he may have been a dangerous guy, but he always was a sweetheart. he would always have a plan after every plan. he always thought beyond everything that could happen.
he always had all the possibilities laid out. that way he would always be readyfor what could have happened. amelia wondered if he had had a plan when the explosion had occurred. was he ever aware that suh would ever happen right under his nose?
was she going to be forced to believe that everything happened for a reason this time too? she had been alone for so long, but right now, she couldn't help but wonder what had happened to her love. maybe he was alive or maybe he really was dead.
she couldn't remember how she survived that darn explosion but whatever it was that got her safe was a blessing and a curse, all at the same time. she needed a lot of things right now. she wanted to see alexander, but how was she supposed to see someone who had died almost tow years ago? how was she supposed to even be thinking of a loss she would never be able to recover form? 
amelia was confused and she hated it. her thoughts were jumbled. she had a lot of things to set straight and they were all coming at her in one run. she didn kneo if the idea of seeing her sister was a good one or even that it was okay for her to think of the man she had lost. 
she was thinking, again and everyone around her was waiting on her. jennyhad given her condition and from the looks she was getting, everyone agreed, except amelia. probably because she had zoned out again.
"Earth to malyshka" damien said as he waved his hands before his baby sister who looked like nothing mattered in that moment. there was something really wrong with her they all could see that but no one really had te courage to ask her that.
they wanted her to feel okay, but was she? was okay even something she would appreciate now?
"Oh yeah yeah whatever it is, I agree" amelia responded absentmindedly as everyone looked at her like she was a ghost. "what? did I say something wrong?" she couldn't help but ask.
"i haven't even said my condition yet and ou are already agreeing." jenny sighed defeatedly. "whatever it is that's eating you up, you need to tell us, baby. anyway, we only call jia, after you have eaten." jenny said with a tone of finality, and amelia kew that tone very well.
she could have chosen to disobey, but there had been enough challenges for their first meeting. she just needed her closure before she went to sleep. she deserved that. see could see the frustrated faaces and just how tired they all were. maybe if she ate, they could at least have some peace, besides her internal bleeding had nothing to do with her stomach. she could just eat.

"well that was easy, i kinda expected that she would throw a tantrum. damn girl, I'm scared of you" carlos said as he referred to jenny. but jenny knew lia. she knew her sister every well and the onlyway she would ever gree to such was if she was also thinking the same.
"it's sorted then. the let's dig in y'all." Carlos excitedly said as everyone laughed at him. for a guy who looked scary, he looked like the food was the best thing that could ever have happened t him. every one of them could see that. they were aware of the same.
as they all ate, damien asked the questionhe had been itching to ask since he entered the apartment. and he knew the siblings were also asking themselves the questions but everything had happened so quickly between melia almost dying and the fucking treatments she was getting. 
"malyshka, the house is beautiful. i feel like I'm back home. it's like you recreated everything just like ma and pa set up our home. its beautiful." damien said.
"yeah man, i mean i would let myself get lost in this apartment because everything looks like home. literally everything save for the family photos. makes me wonder how much effort it took" carlos added, agreeing with damien.
"how long did it take for you to make all these arrangements?" damien said and looked towards jenny. "jen jen please don't be mad at her now, pretty please."
"yeah yeah, whatever, i was itching to ask the same. i mean it seems like it took so long. i wont get mad baby, just tell us, how long?" jenny said, her voice clear of any sarcasm or anything that could point at her mockery of her sibling.

What is Darkness? The deprivation of light?
"HUFF! HUFF! HUFF!"
Or perhaps it is the representation of deprivation, isolation, emptiness, detachment, loneliness….?
"HUFF! HUFF! HUFF!" 
Or maybe it is the mysterious and impenetrable entity that enshrouds everything. 
"HUFF! HUFF! HUFF!"
Well, whatever is, the moment something finds itself in its clutches, it is by its own will to do whatever if it wants with whatever is foolish enough to fall within its clutches.
And in Arthur's case, that was exactly what it was doing.
"HUFF! HUFF! HUFF!"
Running within an endless darkness that rendered Arthur's eyes useless. Arthur felt the smothering feeling of being completely enveloped in Darkness. It was like being wrapped in a large thick blanket with no idea where the edges were to extricate yourself. Or even more accurately, it was like waking up deep in a pool of water, with no idea which direction was up or down.
Darkness within the Realm is a strange substance. Like water, it has three states solid, liquid, and gas, but with a twist. Its behavior mimics some sort of mystical material that seemed to create and follow it's own laws. Reacting and transforming to suit its own needs.
In solid form, it is completely black and acts like some sort of impermeable wall—nothing in and nothing out. 
As a liquid, its thick, sticky, and has a tendency to swallow anything it touches. Its behavior, in a way, was like quicksand, slowly pulling and swallowing until whatever was in its clutches was fully its. 
And as a gas, it was even stranger. It is able to pass through solid material with ease and mask anything. What could be present before a person could be a kilometer away, and just when a person would think that they were safe from it, it would always find it's way to them. As a whole, Darkness is an odd thing, and Arthur was experiencing every bit of this strangeness.

After leaving Outpost Alpha, Arthur speedily made his way over to the location of the Dead Zone. Wisely rather than making his way over through the woods, he decided to fly instead. Avoiding the tendril of black miasma that snaked around the Dead Zone. 
It took significantly less time flying, and Arthur made it in good time. However, after reaching Arthur observed the Dead Zone from the air with a frown. 
The Dead Zone was massive, very massive, encompassing an area of around a hundred kilometers in diameter. It formed a strange dome shape that swirled in a slow spiral flow.
At first, Arthur believed that a Dead Zone within the Outer Domains would around be around a few kilometers at most. But this Dead Zone completely blew away his expectations. However, what made Arthur's brows furrow was the fact that the Dead Zone seemed to be growing. This wasn't good news, for obvious reasons. 
However, like many things in the realm, where there was a problem, there was a solution. Though Arthur, originally wanted to explore the Dead Zone out of curiosity, there was now a more valid reason to explore the Dead Zone. After all, the only way to dispel a Dead Zone was to take whatever reward it enshrouded. And the reason for this is that whatever the reward of exploring the Dead Zone was, it was more than likely its cause. 
There was also the matter that the larger a Dead Zone was, the more dangerous it was, or more accurately, the stronger the entity created within it is. This danger level in relation to the size isn't linear, but exponential. Thus, the sooner a Dead Zone is resolved, the better. 
And it is with this line of thought that Arthur descended into the Dead Zone, after all, who would watch a venomous snake grow in their back yard.

Still running through what seemed like endless Darkness, ragged breathing continuously escaped from Arthur's mouth as he failed to regulate his breathing. And it also didn't help that his large energy pool was rapidly draining away. As to why Arthur was running?
What is fear? The unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger, real or imagined? 
"HUFF! HUFF! HUFF!"
Or perhaps the dreadful and often strong emotion caused by the awareness of one's own vulnerability?
Well, whatever it was, it was currently accompanying Arthur as he ran through this Darkness. 
"KEKEKEKE! Why are you running away, little lamb?" Laughed a hoarse feminine voice from behind Arthur. "You know you can't run away forever. So be a good little lamb and stop running. I'm not gonna bite, I promise. Okay, maybe just little nibble, but that's all, I promise."
Hearing this, Arthur couldn't help but become even more frustrated. After all, the voice was right, as for how Arthur even got into this situation. 
It all started when his feet touched down within the Dead Zone.
 
The moment Arthur's feet touched down, he was completely encompassed in Darkness. No matter where he looked, it was just nonpermeable Darkness.
But, that in itself wasn't that bad….okay, maybe just a little. However, what happened next was what propelled him into this current situation.
It all started with a breeze. It wasn't just any breeze though, it was special, but not in a good way.
The moment the breeze came in contact with Arthur, every one of his senses except hearing were immediately robbed of him. 
If at first, Arthur could tell he was standing within the Darkness, he now felt as though he was floating within nothingness. 
But that wasn't all. With this breeze came the crippling sensation of death and despair that invaded Arthur's subconsciousness.
No matter how much Arthur tried to stop the invasion, he couldn't. Well, at least not yet.
It was also then that the hoarse feminine voice was heard by Arthur. 
"What do we have here? Another lost little lamb?!"
And out of instinct, Arthur began to run.

Ariel is a timid, sensitive, straightforward, and shy girl. She is the eldest daughter of her parents and the eldest of her siblings. She tried to do whatever, to make her family happy and tried to support her family mentally if she couldn't help financially.
She couldn't and didn't live her life. She always lies to herself and her feelings and needs to make her family comfortable.

Every time she gets into fights with her family She always tells herself:
