Lance gripped his sword tightly and focused. 'The first one, I kill.' He summoned vines out to entangle the Nekomata before dashing forward and unleashing a hurricane of slashes on the defenceless feline. Deep wounds started to pour blood out all over the ground before Lance pivoted and decapitated the cat's head in a single strike.

'She gained experience even if I kill them.' before he could focus on the gains they received, three more Nekomata's pounced to the ground and circled Lance. 

One instantly jumped at Lance, wanting to catch its prey before it could kill them. Lance ducked down, "Fire!" as the feline flew overhead, he ordered Tiamat to attack. From his shoulder she shot out a fireball at the cat, hitting it right in its belly and causing it to catch on fire. 

Lance quickly stood, he sent vines out to entangle one and sent another to the void before charging at the one that tried to attack him. He let out another Hurricane of strikes on the cat, before taking its head off.

"Fire!" He ordered Tiamat to attack the beast entangled with vines as he shot out fireballs. Fire converged on the motionless monster as the smell of burning fur and flesh filled the area. Neither Lance nor Tiamat let up in their assault till the beast fell lifeless.

Lance summoned the griffin lord and waited for the last beast to exit the void. As he waited he calculated how Tiamat's experience worked. It seemed that the more damage she did, the more experience she got. After going over everything he readied himself as the orb of void dissipated. 

"Fire!" Lance ordered Tiamat to attack once again as he sent the griffin lord to take the beast out. One crunch and the Nekomata fell to pieces in the maw of the large griffin.

With the battle over, Lance fell into thought over all the different ways he defeated the monsters. Having Tiamat attack was by far better than just killing himself, though it was dangerous. His companions' do give her experience as well, but at a low rate, even if she attacks. 

"So?" Elandra walked over and placed her hand on Lance's shoulder. "How did it go?" She could tell that Tiamat was at least gaining something, but she couldn't tell what. 

Lance tried to find the words to explain everything to them. "Okay, so." He turned to the two girls waiting for his response. "A level one monster gives very little experience, and she only gained a little when killed by my companion or myself. But if she attacked and did damage, she gained a lot more. And gained more with the more damage she did."

Elandra started to think. She was trying to figure out how to best optimize this. "What's the best way in your opinion?" 

Lance hadn't quite figured that out yet. He was still going over everything and trying to find out himself. "I can't be one hundred percent, I still need more testing. Safest would be killing the monster ourselves. Fastest would be having our dragons attack with us." 

"What else do you need to test?" Elandra was more than willing to let Lance do his thing. 

"I got to still see what happens when you guys kill some monsters, as well as have her attack monsters you attack." In theory, it seemed easy to pull off. But practice would be a completely different situation. "Those guys were only level ten. So we not only need to find stronger monsters, but also a bigger pack." 

Sharna was listening and going through everything on her own as well. "It would be difficult to test her attacking one of our targets, how would you purpose accomplishing that?" 

Lance thought about that, he could team up with Sharna and order Tiamat to attack and he just watched. Or do that with Elandra, but she would kill the mobs too fast. "Wait." He picked Tiamat off his shoulder and placed her around Sharna's shoulders. "I'll call out orders to her, and you can just focus on fighting." 

Sharna started to smile and pet Tiamat, she liked this idea. "Sounds easy." 

"Now the only problem is finding monsters to fight." Lance voiced the problem facing them now. 

"Not a problem. There's a wolf den less than half a kilometre from here." Elandra pointed off in a direction through the forest. "It's on the way, and should have some wolves outside, as long as no one cleared them out." 

This seemed like a good place to start for Lance. "Alright, let's go." He wanted to test every way of battling to find the best option for levelling up Tiamat. 

Elandra led the group to the location of the den. "So what exactly is the plan?" 

"You'll go in first and take out one or two. Then Shar will go in and take out whatever remains with Tiamat." He first wanted to see if Tiamat gained experience from any kills. If it worked, then they could just go clearing out areas without worry. 

"What if an Alpha or Beta show up?" Sharna didn't feel confident in taking on either of those boss level monsters. 

"El and I will handle them." Lance wasn't going to give up that opportunity. The boss level monsters should give quite a bit of experience, so he was kind of hoping they would show. 

"Enough chit-chat." Elandra wanted the group to focus, monsters prowled the forest, too much noise would attract too many. 

They walked in silence towards the wolf den. Lance went over in his head how long it could take to get Tiamat to a level capable of fighting alongside him. He figured that even if he fought high-level monsters, it could still take quite a while. It saddened him to think that he had to pause his growth to get Sharna and Tiamat to fighting form, but in the end, it would be worth it. 

Elandra stopped in front of the group, they stood by a line of trees that surrounded a small cave. Just outside the cave were two sabre wolves walking back and forth. "I'll go in and take out the first one. Shar, you rush in after and tale out the other." Going with Lance's plan, Elandra readied herself before nodding to the two of them and charging forward. 

"When you get close, just say 'fire'. Tia should attack." Lance crouched down and waited for Elandra to take out the first wolf. 

Sharna took a deep breath before rushing forward. She started throwing fireballs at one of the sabre wolves, "Fire!" As if Lance spoke the words himself, Tiamat assisted in Sharna's assault.

Elandra took out the wolf without any problems. The wolves weren't that powerful, to begin with, and she even seemed disappointed that the fight was so quick. 

'Barely anything for partner kills', The amount they got was next to nothing. He was kind of sad at that. Lance had hoped that even if he were doing the main killing, levelling up the dragons of the others would be easier. 

Sharna and Tiamat continued hurling fireballs at the other wolf till it's body dissolved into a pile of ash.

The experience was much higher but was still really low. 'Could it be the monsters are too high of a level?' Lance wasn't sure why she seemed to get almost no experience, but it was a problem for another time. He got up and walked over to the cave as the rest of the back started to exit. 

Six more sabre wolves exited the cave and started to growl at the group of humans. Lance took the second of peace to quickly scan the monsters.

Lance thought they were only level ten, he could kill each one with one strike. But he had to test one last thing out. "Retreat," Lance ordered the girls to leave the battlefield, but before Sharna could walk away, he quickly grabbed Tiamat from her. 

Elandra and Sharna didn't need to ask what Lance wanted to do, they just walked backwards. 

After the girls got a safe distance away, Lance entangled one of the wolves and dashed through the rest. With each movement he made, the head of a wolf fell to the ground and blood soaked the ground beneath their body.

Lance turned to the last wolf, "Attack!" He wanted to see if it was the level gap. He let Tiamat take on the wolf all alone. 

Without a second thought, Tiamat leapt from Lance's shoulder and landed on the back of the wolf. She let out a breath of fire and clawed at the wolf's back, leaving deep gashes and burning its flesh. 

Lance knew this would take a while, but he had to test this out. Tiamat was safe with the wolf being tied down, but it wouldn't be an effective way to battle.

Mylo held a long, thin, slightly curved blade made of what seems to be steel like material that is held by a grip wrapped in extravagant, deep red cloth. The razor sharp point makes this weapon ideal for piercing its opponent. The rapier has a wide, curled golden cross guard, offering protection to the hand and lower forearm for the leading hand and thus his life. The cross-guard has an elaborate twisted shape appearing as if the owner was holding a rose and with a well-groomed diamond in the middle of the golden rose, fine details which prove how carefully this weapon was crafted. A clear sign this weapon belongs to a royalty.
The gray wolf couldn't hold his apparent hunger for his flesh and rush towards him.Mylo waited until his enemy was within the range of his rapier and easily dodged the attack by stepping outside of his straight forward assault; Slashing the wolf's side.
"You have dealt 146 damage."
Close to half the wolf's damage has been dealt, since the wolf was an offensive type mod, his defensive capacity was lacking.  That amount of damage was impossible for a level 1 beginner in particular at the first day of the game release. It would be understandable if it was maybe 3 months into the game, since one could get items; like well a well-crafted level 1 weapon's or a potion that increases damage. That's only if the level 1 beginner had connection with a high level use, he could rely on them to provide him with such items.
After a few minutes passed, mylo's understanding of the wolf attacking pattern allowed him to completely dominate the battle and eventually slaying his enemy.

In Second's Chronicle's when a player solo kill a mob that is higher level than his own level. He will gain an experience multiplier depending on its level difference. Mylo's managed to kill a mob that is 4 levels higher than his own, earning him a 1.4 multiplier. The experience multiplier is only applicable to solo kills not party kills. Of course if the players manage to kill an Elite or a Boss mob whose level is higher than his own, his multiplier would be higher than killing a normal mob.
"This was easier than expected, should I go to higher zones?...I shouldn't be too cocky. If I died il would have to wait 12 hours before I could log back in."
Dying in Second Chronicle's had a harsh penalty implemented, if a player died they would have 30% of their experience removed , they couldn't log back in for 12 hours and a random piece of equipment would drop upon death. It might not sound that bad, but in higher levels the experience penalty would decide one's ranking position. A player could easily lower 100s of ranks by only dying once, his competitor would have a 12-hour advantage over him, while he or she also had to spend hours regaining the experience lost. As for player killers (PKers) they would lose 60% of their experience , a 24-hour penalty and two pieces of equipment dropped upon death.

A few hours passed since his first battle, during that time mylo managed to hunt 6 more wolf earning him 168 experience points, half of it given to his weapon's experience gauge; 84 for himself and another 84 for his ego sword.  As well as 104 copper coins and 3 additional wolf hide.
"2 more experience points left for level 2. Same for my ego sword."
As Mylo was wondering the forest in order to a counter another mob. But a sudden message appeared before him; notifying him of something. As he read the message, an expression of surprise and joy started to show itself in his face.
"Undiscovered dungeon has been located 20 metres south from your location."

"Hahaha, what an amazing skill!"
Mylo started to head south toward the undiscovered dungeon. Continually hearing the notification ringing in his ears.
"Undiscovered dungeon has been located 18 metres south from your location."
"Undiscovered dungeon has been located 16 metres south from your location."

What welcome mylo was a large Rock in front of him was a hefty bush, mylo's pushed his way through the bush cutting its branches with his rapier. Beyond the bush lies a narrow, grimy room. It's covered in dirt, dead insects and small bones. Mylo notices on his left an intact torch beside the remains of what seems to be human bones. He picks up two stones hitting them against each other to create sparks in other to light the torch. Mylo's tread onwards, deeper into the dungeon's. After a few metres inside, a familiar sound could be heard.
"You are the first to discover the dungeon: Wolf's Den."
"Experience and loot earned inside the dungeon will double for 24 hours."
"…"
"Isn't there a saying that when faced with misfortune, only fortune awaits. Wouldn't I get the reverse of that?"
Mylo's cautiously proceed onwards, deeper into the dungeon's depths. As he was advancing mylo only had one though.
"Double loot… plus dungeon boss…equals…LOOT EXPLOSION!"
"HAHAHAH!"

Mylo was currently lying in the hospital bed, counting his remaining time before his life finally fades away .regretting only one thing in life. Not being able to play a VR game. Wishing he could create the craziest build and dominate the world of ‘Second Chronicle’s ‘. Unfortunately for him technology couldn’t advance fast enough and at the age of 93 only one day away from the release of the first VR RPG game. He dies of heart failure.

Nicola attacked the balor by sending a wave of elemental energy that was greatly increased by his power of the sin of wrath. Unlike what happened in the previous times using this attack, the four daggers were not together to produce a punctual attack that emitted a loud sound, each emitted a separate sound that made the internal parts of the demon explode, which now had no more brain or heart, even his dantian had turned to dust and his cultivation returned to level 1, making it impossible for him to react even if he wanted to.
The balor was still wide-eyed before he said his last words. "Traitor!" He said before he died completely.

Notifications kept coming up while the living dead did their job. Shortly afterwards they were all dead on the floor, the scene was horrible but Nicola did not spare any of them. When it was over Nicola was cutting off the balor's head and kept the rest of her body in a spatial ring to preserve it. He did the same with the rest of the dead bodies on the floor and left that place. Sealing the entrance and leaving it like a tomb that would never be found by an unfortunate walker. As soon as he left he asked Tuatha to enter the space ring, as he was going back at his fastest speed to the City of Opus.
Nicola flew like an arrow in a straight line to the small town of Opus, disregarding even magical beasts that got in his way, killing them with just a single blow. It took a few hours even at full speed to reach the edges of the forest, but even so he didn't slow down, following up to the headquarters of the Mercenary Guild, which he entered like a whirlwind, stopping just in front of Rena while saying: "The branch master, now!" There was something in his words, a sense of urgency, that did not allow her to go against that call and she directly sent a hurried message to the branch master asking him to come urgently because Nicola was asking.
Anterus came in a hurry given the urgency of the request Rena handed him. Upon arriving at the salon he recognized Nicola and immediately asked. "Something's happened, Mr. Nicola, maybe the balor hunting mission has paid off, but I think Rena herself could process the order and give you the reward." He told Nicola.
"None of this, it is a subject that is far beyond your limit. I know that the branches of the guild have a way of communicating with each other, I want you to send a message to the Jambel branch master and tell her to come here next to someone powerful with some army troops. The mission is at risk." Nicola ordered leaving no room for response, his murderous intent and imperial aura emerged from his body and spread throughout the small town, the peasants who were at home ran to their beds while those on the street entered their house, only the Cultivators were not trembling with fear, but they certainly would not even dare to look up at Nicola.
The old man promptly sent the message through a special long distance talisman, but received no reply. For a few seconds he looked at Nicola before trying to say it. "Mr. Nicola, I have had no answer."
"Shhhhh! Be quiet." Nicola demanded, causing the man to lower his head.
At that moment a great spatial distortion was formed in the air, the sound that left there was very similar to a tearing fabric. It was a spatial portal, only cultivators at the gold level would have the power to do this so quickly. On the other side he could see an army tent and Rhicina showing his medal to an army general and making them pass through the space portal.
Nicola looked at the weak cultivators who were there and back at her, nodding. At that moment Rhicina's eyes that were emitting a gray color changed and emitted a green glow, causing everyone, even the branch master and Rena to faint and cast a great spell of silence around them. "What would be so urgent, young Nicola?" Rhicina asked.

"Yes, yes. I hope you will come again." Ralph laughed nervously as he saw Wade walking out of his shop again after handing him the three items.

In the plains somewhere near Beast Forest
A gorgeous golden haired woman climbed over a small hill in the plains when instead of the natural animals she expected, she saw rats instead. The rats were extremely smelly and looked as if they had just crawled out of a sewer. These rats were the natural monsters here in the plains as they had destroyed all other life except those under the ground. The woman equipped her wooden bow and started shooting off the rats in a precise manner. The woman immediately leveled up to level 3 after only shooting a couple of rats. She then walked up to loot the rats and found one copper for each rat. 
"Damn this game, how stingy can they be?"
After she looted the rats, she had collected a total amount of 10 rat carcasses and 10 copper coins with no other loot whatsoever. She walked back to her village to hand in the rat carcasses and copper coins to the village alchemist. The village alchemist needed the rat carcasses for a specific experiment to test if rat carcasses could serve as repellent for other types of beasts due to it's smelly nature. The reward for this quest was 20 coppers and now the woman could buy the thing she most needed.
The beautiful woman's name was Jasmine. As Jasmine walked to the equipment store, she threw her wooden arrows in her inventory. Her wooden arrows wouldn't serve any purpose after she bought a quiver of metal arrows. These metal arrows would only be used for a [Uncommon] Boss that she found in the plains. It was surprising that no one but her had found it yet but it made sense as who would hunt level 3 beasts after the game had just released. Especially rats as well. Everyone was still doing beginner quests that barely yielded any exp and those who ventured out were too cautious to challenge any creatures above their levels and much less a boss.

Wade searched for a village guard to offer him a quest since he had heard that some of the village guard's quests were a bit too hard for the players at level 1 and even the players at level 2. Some of the players leaked details mentioning that the quest required them to kill a bunch of wolves that were plaguing the village. Truthfully speaking, Wade didn't know if the wolf he had killed had been the same one that the players needed to kill for the village guard's quest. Wade thought killing the wolves was easy but he had never noticed that many other players died because there were too many wolves surrounding them. 
"So you've already killed one of them..."
When Wade approached the village guard, the guard said something entirely different than what he had expected. The players who had talked to the village guard before had an entirely different dialogue than what he had now. It was to be expected as all the NPCs AI had personalities and could make up their own sentences.
"What do you mean, sir?" Wade acted confused as he didn't know what the guard was talking about. 
"Your dagger. The one in your left sheath. You already killed a Wild Wind Wolf at level 0 and that already proves that you're quite the formidable fighter for killing something above your level. Everyone else has been killing weak animals to level up and yet the first monster you've killed was a Wild Wind Wolf. So son, would you like to help me eradicate the Wild Wind Wolves?"

Wade arrived at the forest and met 5 Wild Wind Wolves that were laying down and whining. The wolves seemed pretty calm so Wade activated [Stealth] and [Bleed] and snuck towards the area where the wolves were laying down. Wade stabbed downward at the nape of the wolf and a critical hit activated once again.

Wade then flipped backward after seeing that he killed the wolf in front of him. When the other wolves noticed him, they turned around and howled. Wade knew that this was bad as a wolf howling could mean many things like communicating their location to their comrades or signaling to their pack leader that one of their own had been killed. 
Wade dashed towards the 4 other wolves while dodging the [Weak Wind Blasts] that flew toward him at high speeds. As Wade neared the first wolf charging towards him, Wade threw his Wind Wolf Bone Dagger towards the wolf charging towards it and a yellow number appeared over the Wind Wolf's head as it slid to the ground in front of Wade. It seemed that the wolves here had the same exact health as the lone wolf he fought before.

Wade activated bleed and dashed to the nearest wolf and slashed the side of the wolf with his left hand while throwing his knife again at another wolf with his right.

Wade got into a slouched stance as if he was tired and the wolf seemed to get more energetic at that as it thought that Wade was at the end of the line and that he could avenge his brethren. Little did he know that Wade was pretending all along. The wolf tried to headbutt Wade with his [Headbutt] skill but Wade lazily dodged it. As soon as it saw that it had missed, it charged again but this time using its [Tear] skill. Wade didn't even allow the wolf to regenerate a sliver of health and slashed it across the muzzle with his curved knife.

The wolf realized that it had no chance and ran away whimpering like a dog but Wade was a merciless person and threw his curved knife directly into the wolf's anus.

The wild wolf let out one more whimper before dying at the hands of Wade. Only after he killed the last wolf did Wade let out a breath and looked at his system notifications.

Wade couldn't find any lone or small packs of wolves around the Beast Forest any longer. He did find rabbits and fish but they gave small amounts of experience that wasn't worth grinding. Wade's experience bar had now filled up to level 6 in the amount of time that he had been hunting and it was now about halfway full to level 7.

I will give you everything I have as long as you can avenge them for me." The village guard handed him two silver coins as he talked with a face of a man in grief.

Wolf logged back in the game at the abandoned haunted Mansion where he found the mysterious old man for the advancement of the hidden quest .

Before starting the hidden quest Wolf decided to make some necessary preparations so that he would not fall short of any thing in the hidden quest. With that in mind Wolf took out one return scroll that he bought during his shopping before venturing out to find the old man and crushed it .

RIPPPPPPP ..... with the crushing of the return scroll cracks started appearing in the air and a void was opened in front of Wolf . The void sucked Wolf in and the next moment Wolf was in a teleportation formation built in the middle of the Chicken Coop village. Upon getting back Wolf purchased lots of health potions, repaired his items , bought Mana motions with the money that he earned with the massacre of the mobs .

GATE OF THE CHICKEN COOP....

Wolf was standing in front of the entrance gate of the Chicken Coop village with a purple book in his hand. Wolf opened the book and a message appeared in his brain.
"GHOSTLY STEP - movement technique
TOP GRADE TECHNIQUE"
"Do you want to learn the technique manually or automatically"
Wolf thought for a while about the options given to him and then directly asked the system assistant about the difference between the ' manual' and the ' automatic' options.

"the manual option is for the players that want to experience the game to the fullest experience that the game  can provide ... but the player has to learn the technique but himself which provide players with more freedom than the players who choose to learn the technique on automatic setting...."

On reading the explanation Wolf decided to learn the technique manually. He did not choose to learn the technique automatically because even though he wanted to get rank 1 as soon as he could , he did not to be the top player that does not enjoy the game and work hard to reach the top of the ladder. moreover Wolf was a hard-working kid in nature so he obviously will choose the manual option.

After the hard practice of 8 hours Wolf was finally able to grasp all the nine steps of the Ghostly steps by leaning them one by one .... On his face was a bright smile that showed satisfaction .... Now Wolf activated all the 9 steps continuously.....

Wolf stared to run . As he ran he began to fade away , when he reached an illusionary state he leapt into the air and disappeared ....

(Wolf was previously level 12 but due to the 10,000 experience points he was now level 14.... a leap of one whole level was something pleasant that Wolf didn't expect for ... it was an unexpected surprise to him but nonetheless he was very happy with his progress even though he didn't do much today but he still leveled up )

Wolf checked the leader board for his race -beastman and found out that the first place was taken by a player named 'White Empress'
who was level 17 .... this shocked Wolf as he didn't expect that any other veteran player would have selected this role .... Wolf felt threatened because of this old veteran that was a leveling machine ..... Wolf decided that the next time he logs in he will send the 'white empress ' back to where he/she belonged .But for now he has to start his hidden quest . But just as he thought of starting the hidden quest the alarm rang and it was time for Wolf to go Offline and head to school...

With Zhao Feng's show of strength and power. It makes everyone's blood boil and their momentum in fighting against the wolves increases. 

"Kill this beast!"

"The bodies of these braindead monsters are enough for our village to eat meat for several days!"

Like a surging tide, the villagers attack fearlessly with their weapons.

From the forest behind the wolves, a loud howl came out and a huge wolf slowly walks out. Its body was several times larger than the other wolves. Two gems like yellow eyes were staring hungrily to the villagers.

The villagers were shocked when the leader of the Black Devil Wolf appeared. But aside from shock, there isn't any other reaction in their faces. This only showed that they didn't fear this wolf and they were even eager to kill it. Because everyone knew that if they exchange the body of this wolf in the nearest city. They will get a huge reward that can be used to strengthen their village.

Zhao Feng who was practicing the Intermediate Fist Techniques felt a change in his fighting style. He can now move much quicker and his reaction was also fast. He didn't know if he was a genius or if this is just an ordinary thing for everyone. He was just happy that he could feel that he was improving in every aspect.

That is why when he saw the huge wolf that appeared. His eyes quickly brighten and said inside his head, "System, what is the status of that large wolf"

The huge wolf was angry seeing such a puny human dared to challenge himself. He growls towards the human and swiftly attack. 

'It's fast!' Zhao Feng exclaimed inside his head.

Compare to its large size, the pack leader moves much faster than the other small wolfs. Its large mouth opens showing its sharp teeth that were as large as Zhao Feng's forearm.

Snap!

With quick reaction, Zhao Feng tilted his head to the side and just barely dodge the bite of the wolf. He could feel that a small fire burns in his cheek which indicates that he had been hit. If not for him having a logia type devil fruit, he was sure blood would already come out from his cheek.

'Although its attack seems to have any effect on me because of my devil fruit. It is still better to try and dodge its attacks. Because it can train my observation and the reaction and flexibility of my body. Also, it can teach me not to rely purely on my devil fruit power' Zhao Feng thought.

Grrrlll!

An incredible light flashed in the eyes of the wolf when it saw its attack missed. 

"Beast!"

Zhao Feng shouted and charge towards the wolf fast. His body transformed into a fire and appeared below the head of the wolf. With both fists tightly clench, he punches upward towards the jaw of the wolf with his hard fist covered in fire.

An explosion happens as fire exploded to the jaw of the wolf. The power of the punch that the wolf took contains over a thousand pounds of force. Combined with the explosive power of his devil fruit. The damage that the wolf receive in this attack was not simple.

The wolf issued a painful cry before stumbling to the ground with its jaw broken. Its sharp yellow eyes were still staring at Zhao Feng fiercely while releasing some low growls from its throat. However, this time, there was fear included in the heart of the wolf. It never thought that he would be defeated in a single punch from a tiny human in front of him.

Even Zhao Feng was shocked by his strength at this time. He seems to forget that even if the wolf was an early rank Martial Warrior that could defeat a human practitioner in the same rank. He himself was like a beast. With him being a rank higher than the wolf and his body was modified by the body strengthening pill. His strength was not something the Black Devil Wolf can take.
