Wolves can wander the world, and now they can the universe.  This is the tale of a man becoming a wolf and moving through other worlds and other dimensions, come along for the journey.

Jay wonders if she will be able to keep Lisa her crush. Or is she going to have to go and be the last wolf a live. Or ... does Jay find a cure for the wolves so three will be more wolves.

The sounds of howling continue through the night — putting everyone on edge.

Eomer positions the two carts between the caravan and the forest edge — but moves the mule inside the circle of wagons. He plants his four javelins into the ground, ready to be thrown the moment a wolf shows itself.

Trent retrieves a few short torch stands from his pack — placing them at measured intervals 50 yards away — lighting the surroundings between the cart and the trees. He has his shield slung in one arm and his sword at the ready. 

You stay close to the handcart, your extra quivers and your shield in arm's reach in case you might need them.

Thomas lies down on the other cart, preparing to get some sleep. His bow lies close to his side in case of an attack during the night. 

Dune is sitting down, back to one of the merchant's wagon wheels, apparently sleeping. However, fluctuations in his body indicate some form of magic-use — perhaps a commune with his hawk, Elm.

Bruce is once again sleeping in a hastily set-up tent behind the two carts. 

If he sleeps like he did when you first met with the hunters, you doubt he would awaken at the first sign of trouble.

Trent approaches you.

"Get some rest kid," he advises. "Eomer and the bird get first watch," he gestures at the sleeping Dune.

"This doesn't feel right," you stress your words.

"Really? How?"

"The wolves I knew from the forest were opportunistic and relentless once they attacked prey. But they wouldn't attack a clearly stronger opponent like the runed bear — much more an armed caravan far from the forest."

"That is true," he assents. "There's something we're not seeing — something else behind the shadows."

"What does Eomer think?"

"He feels the same," Trent answers, "but he wouldn't miss the opportunity to make some gold — and keep a few merchants safe."

You nod silently, thinking about the harsh life of adventurers before drifting to sleep.

Night deepens.

The first attacks occur well past midnight.

Thomas is standing watch together with you when the first traces of wolves appear at the edge of the torchlights.

The wolves seem larger than the ones you faced inside the forest. All their eyes have a bluish-white glow and mist seems to form as they breathe.

"Frost wolves," you bellow, "all those wolves are frost wolves."

Thomas raises two fingers to his mouth and gives a piercing whistle.

"The wolves are at the doorstep!" he shouts. "Get up you bastards!"

The first wolves start charging a hundred yards out.

Thomas draws his bow and shoots at the wolves.

His arrows pierce through one of them and bounces at another.

You grab your bow and shoot three arrows consecutively — hitting one in the throat. Your other arrows bounce harmlessly or fail to penetrate deep enough into the wolves with their armor of ice.

You reach out for three more arrows but you lock eyes with Thomas.

He shakes his head and makes a gesture at the coming wolves.

You drop your bow and grab your shield. You draw Skybreaker from your back and head to face the wolves to give Thomas more space to shoot.

The leading wolves crash into the torch stands — plunging the surroundings into darkness.

A wolf crashes to the ground, hit by one of Thomas' arrows.

It gets up on its feet with an arrow sticking off its chest. It growls in anger and pain and you see rime envelop the arrow until it shatters.

"Damn those wolves!" you roar in your head, "and their blasted cold!"

Another wolf gets hit, arrow bouncing off its hide. It gets hit again — this time with a stronger force.

The hit stops its forward motion, even knocking it back to one other wolf.

"That's wasn't an arrow," you realize.

You glance back for a split second and see Eomer readying to throw another javelin. Trent is rushing to your side — sword and shield at the ready — but not in time to meet the wolves.

The leading three wolves charge towards you from different angles. One of them crashes into your shield in an attempt to drag you to the ground.

You manage to keep your footing but a second wolf attempts a bite at your leg.

You angle your body sideways and meet the wolf's open jaws with the descending Skybreaker. 

Karthas!

The wolf's head is pulverized by the concussive force of the blow and the ensuing shockwave. 

The wolf's core is destroyed by the strike — blasting out a burst of cold that leaves your weapon covered in a thin layer of rime.

"The third wolf!" you remember.

You dive into a roll — barely avoiding a blast of cold and ice.

Another wolf goes down, pierced by an arrow through the eye — followed by a second one.

The arrow shots have seems to have more than doubled — so either Dune has joined the battle or Thomas is a better archer than you thought.

Trent reaches you and cuts down the wolf that crashed into your shield.

You deal with the other wolf with a shield bash and another strike to the head — this time, holding back Skybreaker's magic and preserving the core.

More wolves rush out of the forest and you begin to hear the sounds of battle coming from the wagons.

"Leave the boy," Eomer shouts at Trent. "Take Thomas with you."

Trent gives you a nod before rushing to the wagons.

You see a fully-awakened Bruce moving to take his place. 

He gives you a nod to show his readiness and he unsheathes Horizon — casually dropping its scabbard on the ground.

You move away from Bruce, giving him space to use his weapon.

A charging wolf lunges towards you, but it gets felled by an arrow to the throat before it hits.

"You keep those damned arrows away from me!" shouts Bruce, seeing the downed wolf at your feet.

He wields Horizon with practiced and calculated movements. The greatsword cutting any wolf that comes close while warding the others at bay. He doesn't swing the sword as you would have expected. Instead, he holds the hilt close to his chest, the sword blade towards the wolves, and he manipulates the hilt to move the blade in a controlled — even elegant — manner.

A flying javelin pins a wolf to the ground. Even with a spear through its body, it still attempts to force its way to the battle.

You move in closer and strike it at the neck — tearing its head from the body.

"I'm going!" Eomer shouts.

"Leave it to us!" replies Bruce as he fends off two — now three wolves.

One of the wolves goes down struck by a javelin.

"I said no arrows!" Bruce shouts before realizing the wolf was brought down by one of Eomer's spears.

Three wolves start to surround you — two of them blasting you with their frosty breath while the other one chases after you as you evade.

Ice starts to form where the frost wolves' breath hit you — but you barely take damage from the cold.

You make a note to show your appreciation to Glenn and his craftsmen for their work with your armor.

"Give me hell hounds any day," you voice in frustration. "Aaaargh!"

You strike at a lunging wolf, blasting it down to the ground — only realizing that only one wolf stands in front of you.

"Bruce!" you shout a warning as you see the third wolf moving to his flank and preparing to breathe out frost.

Bruce strikes at a wolf in front of him, cutting it in two — but was too late to avoid the blast of frost. 

The wave of cold hits him — enveloping him in rime and temporarily blinding him.

You rush to aid Bruce, battering aside the nearby wolf with your shield and smashing your hammer at the third wolf just as it finishes breathing frost.

The wolf at Bruce's front charges at him — lunging at his neck with jaws open.

Thagk!

Out of nowhere, Elm crashes into the wolf — knocking it a few inches away from its path. A feat quite impossible for a bird of its mass — so magic must be involved in some way.

The wolf crashes into Bruce, knocking him down to the ground. 

Bruce holds it at bay with his hands — suffering a few cuts to his exposed arms.

You drop your shield and grab the wolf by the neck — slamming it into the ground before smashing the top of its head with Skybreaker.

Kharass!

The wolf twitches for a while and then lays still.

You turn to meet the other wolf — only to see that Dune already took care of it with a couple of arrows.

You rush to aid the fallen Bruce, making sure he knew it was you as he now had Horizon back in his grasp

Aside from the cold sapping his strength and mild ice burns to his hands and face — Bruce seems fine.

"Wear a helm next time or use a shield," you joke as you carefully pick him up.

You help him limp his way back to the cart, picking up your discarded shield and Horizon's scabbard along the way.

You and Dune stand guard in case more wolves appear from the forest, disregarding the screams and sounds of battle from the wagons.

The injured Bruce searches his pack, finally pulling out a flask. 

He turns to Dune — who gives him a curt nod — before downing the flask and lying on the cart.

Soon the sounds of battle die down and the sound of Bruce's snoring becomes more noticeable.

A bloodied Eomer emerges from the wagons — followed by Trent and Thomas.

He sees — and hears — Bruce sleeping in the cart, and gives a questioning look.

"Frost breath," Dune explains. "One of the wolves hit him with a solid breath. He took a potion and slept."

Eomer merely nods — visibly tired.

Trent approaches you and gives you a tap on the shoulders.

He grabs a chair and sits down.

"I'll take the next watch," he declares with firm determination. "The rest of you should get as much sleep as you can."

"I'll join you," you move beside him with your own chair and sit down.

It seems like he would start arguing — but he chooses not to and accepts the company.

Another attack like that before morning would be disastrous — and you can see it in the faces of your companions.

Morning comes without any further attacks.

Eomer approaches the merchants and claims eight of the wolves. The merchants dispute his claim and he returns with just six.

More than 20 wolves attacked the wagons. Added to the 15 wolves your party killed — it made for a very large pack.

Dune and Thomas start the process of skinning the wolves and taking their cores. Most of the meat would have to be discarded.

The merchants lost one of their numbers and four of their guards. Those numbers would have swelled if Trent, Thomas, and Eomer didn't lend their support.

A couple of merchants left with bitterness — blaming the delay for the attack, but the rest of them held a sense of gratitude towards Eomer and the others for their timely assistance.

Your group sends the merchants off — hoping they wouldn't encounter any other setbacks.

Dune prepares a stew of wolf meat as you and Eomer start helping with the pelts.

Pretty soon the smell of the stew rouses Bruce from his slumber and the handcart is filled with more than 20 pelts.

"Last night was something unexpected," Eomer starts. "We can stop now or we can head deep into the forest."

"There's something strange about the wolves," you say. "Every one of them was a frost wolf, the packs I usually encountered only had one or two."

"That's true," Trent agrees. "Every one of those bastards had ice dribbling down their mouths."

"There's something in the forest," cries Dune. "Something unnatural that's interfering with the wolves — strengthening or even changing them."

His statement causes everyone to pause — every one of you weighing the potential consequences.

"What are our plans?" Eomer asks, giving everyone a chance to voice their opinions. "Do we go in, hoping that last night was most of the pack — or do we call it a day and return with our 20 pelts?"

A hawk's cry breaks the silence.

"Elm says there aren't that many wolves in the forest," Dune says, "Only a few larger ones."

"Alphas or something completely new?" Eomer asks.

Dune raises his hands in a gesture of uncertainty.

"I can handle a few wolves," says Thomas. "Better to deal with what's causing the changes to those wolves now — than have a horde of them in a few months or so."

You concur — as do the others.

You eat your breakfast in silence — knowing that you'll be entering deep into the forest once you're done.

You wake up in a strange world where magic corrupts both men and beasts. You find loyal companions who would stand by your side, weapons that would break the sky, and the makings of an army that would shake the entire world. 

Updating daily.

For killing these wolves Shepherd decided that unlike last time it was best to take it slow and kill them off one by one.  Last time he killed the goblins in a hurry or rather swiftly not caring to preserve their bodies. He was just fighting them to test his powers against the monsters of this world, and it wasn't Shepherds fault that this simple engagement became a one sided slaughter. So this time he decided that he would kill them steadily to test his skills against them in close combat. This was also to keep the bodies from being damaged too much so he could sell them this time.
These wolves that Shepherd was about to engage with were not the ordinary wolves that Shepherd had seen or hunted before on Earth. It might have been the influence of this world because the wolves on Eldinoir were at least three to four times larger in size then the wolves on Earth. If Shepherd were to stand side by side with these Wolves then their height would have easily reached over his head if not more.
That's why Shepherd decided to first target the wolves on the borders of the pack. First he lured a Wolf away from the pack. He hid on a tree branch outside of the wolves range and then threw a small stone towards a wolf. The wolf after being hit with the stone rushed towards his direction. After doing this for a few times He was able to draw a wolf away from the pack.
Shepherd then simply stepped out of his hiding and stood in front of the wolf with his sword drawn. There was no need to hide anymore as they were both alone right now and Shepherd could fight this wolf one on one as a test, so he can fight the rest of the pack later. He had fought the Goblins purely with magic to test his magical skills. So this time He wanted to test his skills in close combat and decided to fight with his Katana and his curved daggers still hidden on his waist. Which he could and would use if the opportunity represented itself.  
Seeing Shepherd step out in front of him suddenly the wolf glared at him. For the wolf Shepherd was nothing more then food that had presented itself in front of him. So, Without any thought the wolf having bared its fangs lunged at Shepherd. Shepherd was also ready and swung his katana at the wolves neck as it lunged at him.
The Sword and Fangs both clashed and then separated from each other. The only difference being that Shepherd got a light scratch on his arm and the wolves neck had a deep cut. It was not enough to instantly kill the wolf but it was enough for it to start wobbling on its feet and try to  howl after losing a large amount of blood. 
The wolf howled to call for reinforcements but he could not howl as well he could have because of its cut and bleeding neck. Shepherd knew that after hearing that whimpering howl more wolves will be coming so he first decided to finish off this injured wolf as to decrease their numbers. Shepherd struck at the weakened wolves neck and easily killed it. And now he braced himself for the attack from the other wolves. 
Shepherd heard the other wolves rushing towards him from afar. Shepherd quickly asked Zach before the wolves arrived. "Zach can my Mana Shield withstand the attacks from these wolves?" Shepherd asked Zach while thinking of a strategy to fight the coming wolves. "Yes your Mana Shield can stop the attacks of these wolves completely but only two at a time, at the most three attacks." Zach replied to Shepherd.
Shepherd then thought up a strategy of fighting these wolves with a mix of both, Magic and Martial Art. Just as the wolves arrived  Shepherd activated his Mana Shield and conjured stone bullets to fight the wolves. He could have used Fire bullets against these wolves but at most the fire bullets would only injure them and Shepherd wanted to kill them. 
Just as the wolves rushed him, Shepherd also leapt at them not giving them a chance. He killed the first four on the front with accurate shots to their heads. The next two tried to bite him and Shepherd could have stopped them but to test the Mana Shield he let them attack. When they attacked him their claws were stopped in mid air in front of him at the edge of his Mana Shield. 
They were blocked by the Shield completely and then He slashed at their throats killing some of them right then and there and letting those heavily injured just bleed out on the ground. 
Then He kept using this same strategy to eliminate the rest of the wolves attacking him. The Wolves hit by the Stone bullets died instantly as the shots went through their skulls. The reason as to why their heads were not exploding like Goblins was because Shepherd had lowered the stone bullets speed because he was in their close proximity and did not need that high speed and penetrating power. Another reason was that the wolves were stronger and tougher then goblins.
"You have leveled up!" Zach gave a notification to Shepherd after he was done dealing with them which He ignored at the moment. Shepherd then Cleaned his blade on a wolves body before sheathing it. Then started chucking the dead bodies in his storage space. After storing the bodies he realized that there was a wolf missing from this pack. He was sure that all the howling would have attracted the remaining wolves but one was still missing. 
The Pack that he had observed before had about 16 Wolves but he had only killed 15 wolves so far and one was still missing. After recovering their bodies he went back to the cave where they were all gathered in the first place. And He saw the last wolf still standing next to the entrance of the cave. Its behaviour was odd because it was still sniffing and licking at the entrance instead of helping the rest of the pack. Which suggested that there was something in their which was more interesting to the wolf then helping his pack.
Now Shepherd was sure that their was something or rather someone inside this cave, Dead or alive hiding from the wolves. Shepherd quickly killed this wolf and then checked the entrance of the cave. Then He leaned on the entrance and tried to hear something. At first it was all quite then after concentrating he heard something that he was hoping he wouldn't hear a soft sobbing of children. It sounded like they were holding something over their mouth to stifle the noise of their crying and sobbing. 
Shepherd Hurried and removed the rubble in the entrance of the cave to open it with Magic "Don't Worry I have taken care of the wolves. I am Shepherd, an adventurer and will soon set you free, move away from the entrance and hold on." When he opened the entrance his vision was compromised at first and He could not see inside because of all the flying dust. After coughing a few times and hearing some coughs from inside of the cave something happened to him it was like something clicked in him as he was overcome with rage. And He saw a view that he had hoped He would not see anymore, Not in this world at least. There were some people and children in front of him in rags. 
First Shepherds nose was filled with the stench of filth. This was not the smell of feces or of urine but this was such a putrid and foul smell of blood, urine, feces and dirt combined that He did not need to ask any one or be told of what it was in front of Him for this was a familiar stench. It was something that he had witnessed on Earth before and had even fought against SLAVERY!

Upon waking, Senani said farewell to Fred and ventured back to the cave with Bear and Wolf.  The trio began making their way towards Fred's farm.  As they were still in the woods they maintained a cautious pace on the way.  Once they arrived close enough to see the farm Senani received a new notification.
Quest Received.  Eliminate the pack of wolves and enter into a Covenant with the pack leader.  Reward:  5 acres of Land Grant.  0/10 wolves remaining.  Pack Leader Covenant not yet in place.
Senani relayed the information for the quest to Bear and Wolf.  They then crept closer to the farm, looking for wolves along the path.  Senani readied his crossbow.  His eyes darting across the land in anticipation of the battle that was yet to come.  As the trio got closer to the farm, they began to hear the roars of a bull and the sounds of battle.  The trio continued to move closer and closer.
When they were 30 feet away they could clearly see the battle.  There were 4 wolves standing over a bull.  The bull was on the ground and Senani could not tell if it were alive or dead.  Another wolf lay near the bull.  It was breathing but shallowly.  He lowered his crossbow and took aim.  He fired at the closest wolf.  Hitting it directly between the eyes.  XP + 80 1/10 wolves killed.
When the wolf fell, the rest charged at the trio.  Bear intercepted one, ripping out its throat.  XP + 80 2/10 Wolves killed.  "Congratulations, you have reached level 2.  You have received the skill System Stone Alignment Change.  System Stone Alignment Change:  Change the alignment of a selected system stone in your inventory.  The stone can not be in use by a being."  Wolf jumped between Senani and the other two wolves, swiping them with its strong massive paws.  In one swipe he managed to break the neck of both.  XP + 80 3/10 killed.  XP +80 4/10 killed.  Senani reloaded his crossbow and placed it on his back.  He pulled out his hunting knife and moved to the remaining wolf.  He then slit its throat and put it out of its misery.  XP +80 5/10 killed.  In a matter a minutes, half the wolf pack was slain.
Senani then placed his hand on the bull to see if it was alive.  He received a notification.  "Do you wish to activate a Death Bed Covenant with the unknown Bull?"  Yes or No.
Senani chose Yes and the bull stood up ready for another battle.  It spoke to Senani telepathically.  "I do not know how you managed to save me but I appreciate it.  I am called Kaz.  If you allow me to live and do not turn me into steak, I will stand by your side and protect you until the day I die.  It will be my honor to defend you.  I only ask that you allow me to get revenge on the remaining wolves."
Senani replied, "It is good to meet you Kaz.  I am called Senani.  You will be allowed to kill any but the pack leader.  The pack leader you may critically injure.  Do you know where the remaining wolves are?"
Kaz said, "I heard the sheep bellowing before I was attacked.  That would be a good place to start."
Senani touched each of the wolves bodies and sent them to his Land Grant.  He then continued to the area Kaz had described.  When Senani got within view of the sheep lot he could see many corpses of the sheep.  None were left alive.  The wolves we"Do you wish to activate a Death Bed Covenant with the man known as Fred?"  Yes or No.re moving toward the house.  Senani could see a much larger wolf in the front leading them.  This had to be the pack leader.
Senani ordered his minions telepathically.  Bear was to go to the left, Kaz to the right, and Wolf would go down the center.  Senani then lowered his crossbow and took aim at the Pack Leader.  He shot it in the spine before the rest of the wolves could even turn around to address the animals running toward them.  All three hit the wolves at the same time.  Bear ripped out the throat of the wolf on the left.  + 80 XP 6/10 wolves killed.  Kaz speared the one of the right through the head with his horns.  + 80 XP 7/10 wolves killed.  Wolf swiped at the remaining two wolves with his paws.  He connected with one breaking its neck.  + 80 XP 8/10 wolves killed.  The other attempted to run away.  It was quickly stopped by Kaz and Bear.  All exits were blocked.  Kaz speared it through the back hip with his horns.  Bear bit down on his front legs, and Wolf swiped it in the head breaking its neck.  +80 XP 9/10 wolves killed.
Once the wolves were dealt with, Senani moved to the pack leader.  It tried to move but it could not.  The crossbow bolt had broke its spine and paralyzed it.  Senani touched it.  "Do you wish to activate a Death Bed Covenant with the unnamed Wolf Pack Leader?"  Yes or No.
Senani chose Yes, and completed his mission.  The Wolf Pack Leader accepted and Senani received another notification.  "Do you wish to place the Wolf Pack Leader under the authority of Bear?" Yes or No.  Senani of course chose Yes.  That is one less minion he would have to worry about.  He then transferred all of the dead animals to his Land Grant.
"Quest Completed, Reward Granted."
"Congratulations, you have unlocked the secret skill Animal Evolution."
Animal Evolution:  This skill allows all animals that have signed a Covenant to evolve over time.  This will increase intelligence and may change the physical characteristics or even the race of the animals.
Riki Tiki then spoke to Senani.  "The Wolf Pack Leader you have just placed under Bear has its own system.  It can invite other wolves it encounters to its pack.  It can also challenge and defeat other Wolf Pack Leaders to absorb the wolves into its pack once the rival leaders are defeated.  You have also made Bear an Alpha wolf and the pack will follow her without question.  This also means that Bear can challenge other Alpha wolves to claim their packs.  This should greatly increase her strength and that of the army you seem to be building."
Bear then spoke to her new Wolf Pack Leader.  "What is your name?"
The Wolf Pack Leader responded, "My name is Maverick.  The den of the pack I belonged to lives to the east of this farm.  The Alpha is incredibly strong.  If you were able to defeat him, I am sure the others would join you."
Bear told Senani about the pack.  Senani found this extremely interesting.  After all, he could use an army to help him level and claim a place in the real world.
For now though, Senani chose to walk to the farm house and touch the side of the building.  As Fred had signed a Covenant with Senani, Senani received a prompt, "Do you wish to move the items, buildings, and creatures on the property Fred owns to your land grant?"  Yes or No."
Senani chose yes, and moved the entire farm next to his own.  He then closed his eyes and pictured his Land Grant.  He and all his creatures then teleported to the Land Grant. 
Upon arriving, Fred was shocked to see a new wolf and one of his bulls following Senani.  
Senani said, "Fred move into your farm house.  Then choose an acre of land and pile up the bodies of the dead things that I teleport into here.  Separate them by type and take anything that could be used from the bodies and leave the rest."
Fred Responded, "I will do as you ask.  Thank you for your generosity. I will need help to take care of all of the land that you have.  7 acres is to much for one person to manage alone."
Senani said, "I will look for more people to aid you.  For now I will help you myself.  I will stay for a month so that we can get the farm in order before we travel again."
The following month was pleasant for everyone.  The animals enjoyed the food and freedom to travel the land in the Land Grant.  Fred enjoyed having the extra help and Senani enjoyed the familiar work.  After a month, Senani and the animals he had contracted prepared to leave.  Senani closed his eyes and the group left to where Freds farm had previously been.

Beginning life as a simple farmer, can Senani survive when bandits attack?  What is a Covenant System?  These questions and many more will be answered if you read the book.

The silver wolf was the size of a horse and stood condescendingly on a rock in the distance. It was awe inspiring.

The energy left in Lin Feng's soul crystal was almost exhausted.



The apocalypse watch had a function of calculating the energy of its user based on the user's cultivation level.

A 1st Class Cultivator had around 200 stamina* and 200 fighting strength. A 2nd Class Cultivator had around 500 of each.

For 3rd Class Cultivators, their fighting strength was between 500 and 1000, with less than 1000 stamina. Seeing this, it is clear that those with higher cultivation have greater strength.

Those 4th Class Cultivator have around 1000 to 2000 stamina and disregarding weapons and armor, had around 1000 to 2000 fighting strength.



Lin Feng's is currently a 4th class cultivator, and although he has techniques and tools that allow him to contend with 5th class cultivators, his stamina still has a limit. Similar to other 4th class cultivators, Lin Feng didn't have unlimited stamina.

The level of cultivation was equivalent to the capacity of the soul crystal, and every breakthrough meant greater capacity and strength. Using the energy in the soul crystal only emptied the container, and did not reduce its capacity or the strength of the cultivator.**

The silver wolf howled again and hearing the howl, all the wolves below him stood in attention. (like army general comes into a barracks and people stand in attention)

The silver wolf leaped from the boulder to the front of the wolves. It started to walk step by step towards Lin Feng with the wolves lining up behind it.



Unexpectedly (as is everything is in this novel), as the wolves approached Lin Feng, the zombies started to retreat, seeming to be afraid of the wolves.

Not just the 1st and 2nd class zombies, but also the ten 3rd class zombies started to retreat as the wolves came.

The zombies were afraid of these wolves! ****



Seeing this, Lin Feng knew that only this could be the case.

Within a few minutes, the silver wolf lead the wolves to within 5 meters of Lin Feng. The zombies that had surrounded him nowhere to be found.

The silver wolf stood still in front of Lin Feng and sized him up. Lin Feng looked into the wolf's eyes, they were blue, as blue as the clear sky.

Lin Feng secretly prepared himself in case the wolf attacked, ready to take his crossbow out of the watch at a moment's notice and strike.



Seeing how the 3rd class zombies were afraid of this wolf pack, this was a problem. The silver wolf was at least a 3rd level savage beast, of which even the black panther was almost impossible to kill. Not only was there the silver wolf, but also his pack of unknown level right behind him, Lin Feng felt abused*****. He didn't expect that as soon as the zombies retreated that he would have to deal with a pack of wolves. This truly was being plagued with misfortunes. ******

The silver wolf lifted its head and sniffed in Lin Feng's direction. Lin Feng would never have guessed what followed.

The silver wolf ~ lowered its head and bowed its legs,  like a knight to his king, ~ the wolf knelt down in front of Lin Feng.


After the silver wolf bowed the dozens of wolves behind it also knelt to Lin Feng.

Strange, this was simply the strangest thing that could possibly happen.

Before, Lin Feng was coming up with ways to deal with these wolves, and now had to deal with this situation. Lin Feng started to wonder why this happened.

Thinking it over, Lin Feng finally understood why the wolves submitted to him. *******

From behind the silver wolf ran a pup. Lin Feng saw that this pup was only the size of a small dog but had beautiful silver fur.



The wolf swung its tail as it walked in front of Lin Feng. It started to rub its head on his pant legs.

Squatting down, Lin Feng started to pet the wolf, and it licked his hand in return.

"Aaooh!"

The big silver wolf called the little silver wolf back, and Lin Feng noticed that they looked similar. He couldn't tell before as the little wolf was too small and adorable and had droopy ears.

The small wolf ran up to the big wolf and received a lick on the nose. Lin Feng saw the small wolf start to wag its tail once more and watched it run back to him. Lin Feng looked back and saw the big silver wolf had turned around and started to lead the wolves away.

He noticed that the quest given by the old had disappeared from his quest log. Either he had finished it or failed it. 

He had nothing to do so he headed towards the forest to hunt the wolves.

Mara was just sitting on a hair in her broken-down house. She suddenly felt strange energy from the village. She immediately left her looking for that strange energy, although it was strange it was somehow familiar to her. "So, he has finally appeared!" Said Mara as she looked up at the sky filled with dark clouds.

Blank just reached the forest, there was a pack of 20 wolves looking at him. They were salivating with hunger and ready to eat the human in front of them. But, to their surprise, the human in front of them had se back. 

'Arise'

From the ground, many undead started to appear one by one. There were undead with blue flame, some with bows, staffs. Then in front of that undead appeared a wolf with a metallic jaw and another one with a great sword. Blank had one command in mind, " Attack" 

The undead charged towards the wolves. Two or three strikes of undead were enough to kill one wolf. While Jaws and Barts were killing two or three wolves together.

Blank didn't even need to do a thing, his summons we're doing all the killing. He just sat there, looking at the one-sided massacre by his summons. The berserker he chose was dealing great damage to the wolves, it had almost the same stats as him. 

After killing the pack of 20 wolves another pack of 15 wolves appeared behind the trees of the forest. Each of his undead noticed the wolves and charged towards them.

His undead killed the newly arriving pack of wolves. Another wave of 50 wolves appeared from the forest. The berserker looked at the sitting Blank. He slowly rose and took out his dagger. As his dagger came out of his inventory, it left a slight golden trail. He passed through the group of undead and looked at the wolves approaching. "Things have changed. I am stronger now." He charged towards the wolves and behind him, the undead charged towards the wolves too. 

Blank alone took care of 5 wolves. His basic attack was enough to kill a wolf. In the forest there started to emerge a small river of blood, the blood of wolves. It was a massacre, a total massacre. The third wave was a piece of cake for Blank now. It was definite that he has grown power-wise but did he grow brain-wise. 

No, he didn't. Instead, he getting more idiotic. Once he killed a wolf it was natural for a player to step back and aim at another target. But Blank just stands after killing a wolf and let's 3 or 4 wolves attack. Although the damage from the wolves is low still this habit of his harm in the long run. 

After 20 minutes, Blank killed the wolves. He heard a ting. He opened his quest window, and he had obtained 100 pieces of wolf meat. From here on out Blank didn't have to think about hunger anymore. He could now fight for a long time. Blank was about to leave the forest but a notification appeared in front of him, which made him sob.

[You are recommended to find a food source]

Notification that he hadn't received when inside the dungeon, but once again hunger loomed on his head. Blank knew there was no way he could be alive after this notification. He just waited.

Blank didn't do anything just sat down until the 10 seconds ended.

A pillar of white light appeared near the broken statue of Tserek Village. There was a big smile on his face. He just completed collecting 100 pieces of wolf meat, so he headed towards Mara's house. 

After a short walk, he reached a place, and that's when he realized something. He forgot the location of Mara's house. Blank's head fell in disappointment. It was a really funny scene for anyone. But, luckily for Blank a woman just passed through him. She saw and looked at him. She patted his shoulder. "Hello adventurer" 

Blank looked at the one who patted his shoulder. It was Mara, Blank's eyes shone with happiness. Mara looked at Blank. Unlike before where he was wearing tattered leather armor. This time he was wearing a well-made wolf armor. It was evidence of his growth. 

"I have collected the 100 pieces of wolf meat," said Blank. 

"What!" said Mara, her eyes widened with surprise. "Wait! Let's immediately go to my house" 

Blank followed Mara to her house, it was still the same broken-down house. Mara and Blank entered the house. "Please sit down," said Mara as she pulled a chair for the side. The chair was relatively heavy for Blank to move. 

"I will be back. Please wait for 5 minutes" said Mara, as he went inside another. 

Hum...hum...Blank was humming and looking around the room. His eyes got stuck to a particular sword in the room.

A player named Blank joins a VRMMO game known as Dreamer. But, what at first was just fun and games is now his new way to live his life. 

Through the game, Blank learns the harshness of this world and establish himself as a successful man.

Leiu killed wolf after wolf, without stopping, he didn't miss anyone and looted them all, he looted weapons and leather armor, but they were truly useless as the stats bonus or the quality was very poor.

2 hours, that's how much time he spent killing wolves and he didn't plan to stop any time soon, it was 16:30 PM right now, so he had about 2 more hours before he has to log off.

The experience given when killing a wolf was meager, so he only leveled up once, becoming Lv21, not much but he was satisfied and he was not aiming to level up right now but to improve and hone his skills.

In the course of those 2 hours, some of his skills leveled up, although it was slower than the normal skills, it's nonetheless a level up, which is amazing.

Dark Sword Mastery(Basic Lv3) : When wielding a one-handed or two-handed sword ; you deal 17.5% more damage.

Darkness(passive Lv2) : At night, you deal 18% more damage

Invisible Strike (Rare Lv4) : You can slash a second time with a fast speed: The attack would deal 150% the damage of the first strike.

When Leiu saw that 'Darkness' the passive skill could level up, he became so overjoyed that he forgot he was in mid-fight and almost died by the multiple attacks from the pack of wolves.

Usually, passive skills never level up, so it seemed strange, but it's not like he's going to complain since it was a fortunate thing for him.

Furthermore, something unexpected popped up after 1 hour and half of hunting wolves.

Achievement gained! You managed to kill 100 forest wolves: +5 Agility

He never knew he could gain achievements either, so with that thought in mind, he decided to slaughter Rabbits and Bees later until he got the achievements too, he was sure that there were achievements for them too, he just didn't kill enough to get them apparently, moreover, the reward was not bad, in fact, it was extraordinary.

Right now, after spending 2 hours grinding on wolves and training himself, he can deal with 9 wolves at once, it may not be a difference as he was able to deal with 6 wolves when he started but the difference was really huge.

Adding 3 wolves is not a simple thing, one must not forget that wolves are clever creatures, they rely on numbers and teamwork, they may not use flawless tactics, nonetheless, they are an opponent that should not be underestimated.

A pack of 9 wolves is not something that can be dealt with just because you have good equipment or have good stats, they can easily overwhelm you with their numbers if you are not careful.

From the 104 Health Potion and 27 Mana Potions, he used 9 Blue Potions and 29 Health Potions, it's a lot but it had to be done, Leiu's ability to dodge is extraordinary, however, he cannot dodge everything, sometimes the situation doesn't allow him to evade the attacks.

Although he used a lot of Potions, he still had 75 Health Potions and 18 Mana Potions, so they should be able to keep him two more hours, perhaps even more.

As for his Stamina, he would fight three packs of wolves and rest for 5-10 minutes to fully recover, Leiu didn't know if Stamina Potions exist or not, but even if they do, they must cost an astronomical amount, and must surely be a very rare drop.

Despite the clumsy leap, the attack was precise and enough to kill the wolf. Leiu then landed on his two feet, he didn't pause and backed away a few steps to stabilize his body and at the same time evade a leaping wolf.

The wolf which saw the enemy dodging his attack, was preparing to back away to try to grasp another opportunity, however, it wasn't that lucky as Leiu used 'Invisible Strike', the Steel Sword smashed the wolf's head, pulverizing it and at the same time, it shattered and metal pieces landed on the ground.

Although the Steel Sword was destroyed, Leiu was smiling as he just dealt with a pack of 11 wolves, he wasn't totally sure but he managed to do it and only lost 9 Health Points, so how could he not be happy?

When he began his hunt, he had the Steel Sword he got from the Trials and 5 others, the second one just shattered, so he took another one and looted the corpses.

It's 17:35 PM right now, the Level of the wolves became 14 for some reason, previously it ranged between 13 and 12 but now they all became Lv14.

Their prowess didn't increase and the loot didn't change, he just looted wolf fangs more often now.

Wolves dropped their fur and fangs, in the beginning, out of the 134 wolves, Leiu looted 12 fangs, that in itself shows how rare their fangs are, but now, the Lv14 Wolves dropped fangs very often.

Out of 10 Lv14 wolves, 6 fangs would drop, as for fur, they would drop every time.

Currently, Leiu had 217 wolf fur and 46 wolf fangs, he didn't know how much they cost, but he didn't need them so he was already planning to sell them to the merchant along with the fur and the useless items he looted.

Speaking of useless items, they were a mix of leather armors, basic gloves, basic boots and so on, he also looted bronze swords, but he didn't bother keeping them and threw them out of his inventory, it was already full so adding junk which isn't even worth 10 copper is needless.

He was already Lv21 at 44%, although the experience got is almost non-existent, but if you kill as many as Leiu had, there's bound to be an increase of experience.

However, that's exactly what Leiu was planning to do. Form a party? That never was his style, he always solo-ed everything in other games, there were some exceptions where parties were needed, but even in those cases, he would just abandon the quests and search for other ones.

It would be a lie to say he never formed a party or never have been in a party, because he did, but those time can be counted with one hand and each of those times went horribly wrong, Leiu was not used on cooperation so he just ignored the party and went on killing the monsters which resulted in rage and insults from every person in his party.

The slash of Leiu was precisely aimed the wolf's head, but the creature didn't just stand there and receive it, it dodged to the side, and hastily slammed its body to Leiu's waist, sending him flying 10 or so meters.

Fortunately, 'Dark Empowerment' was active, or else the damage would have been much more serious.

Just that slam took 11 Health points!

While holding his abdomen with his free hand, he supported himself with his sword to stand up and hastily jumped back, the white wolf was already jumping at him, it showed its sharp and white fangs as they were going to be engraved in his neck.

But Leiu didn't let his guard down, he expected the wolf to be strong, but not this strong, he was even stronger than the puppet lord, it was very fast and just a slam from it took a big chunk of his Health.

He got up as fast as he could and rushed at snow wolf, who was also coming at him, this wolf was many times faster than a normal wolf, even Leiu would barely cope with him.

Compared to normal wolves, Leiu is slightly faster, which allowed him to deal with a bunch of them, but compared to this wolf, he was slower, a lot slower. The only way he managed to evade his attacks is by reflex, his countless fights with wolves helped him a bit this time, they were not useless, after all.

The wolf's claws were coming at him as the beast was aiming at his face, trying to rip him to shreds, it previously thought of Leiu as something similar to an ant, so it disregarded him, but now, it couldn't, after all, this ant somehow survived its slam and dodged its previous attack.

With 'Dark Empowerment' still active and using 'Invisible Strike' Leiu clashed his Steel Sword with the wolf's claws. The first strike barely withstood the claws before it pushed the sword back, but the second strike, which was invisible and much faster, hit the incoming claws.

Half of the claws were cut and blood came out of them, the wolf emitted an angry howl as it backed away and ferociously stared at Leiu.

'So its defense is rather weak....'

Honestly, it's to be expected for it to have a weak defense, after all, no monster was strong in all aspects, there surely must be a weakness.

The Health bar of the wolf decreased by a bit, probably 3%, but it nevertheless gave some hope to Leiu, his only thought was 'If it bleeds then it can die! Surely!'

The white wolf's Health bar was at 25%, Leiu struggled with it for 20 minutes, barely dodging by a hair's breadth and sometimes receiving its powerful slams which sent him flying a dozen of meters, the slam was the only attack which cannot be avoided, it was just too fast for him.

He used 8 Health Potions, but the problem was that when it reached 30%, the wolf became able to use magic, it was not powerful magic, however, it was long-ranged, and coupled with its fast speed and strength, it became harder for Leiu to beat it, nonetheless, he managed to decrease its health to 25% before dying by its hands.

As Leiu saw the arrogant gaze of the wolf, he was both angry at it and himself. It was his fault that he couldn't do it, but death was not the end, he would try as many times as possible until he kills it!

'It's either you or me!'

Leiu, 24-years-old, is a person who is struggling between finding a decent job with regular income and providing care for his family. After spending a long time working part-time jobs, he finally has enough money to buy the new VRMMO game that's about to be released.

This is a story about his adventures and progress in this new game.

The wolf was running as fast as he could for five whole minutes, but no matter how much he ran, the scent of the alpha was all over the place, only beginning to get weaker when he hears the howling of wolves.
'Shit! Shit! How big is the Alpha territory? It is impossible for me to escape the territory before the wolves reach me!' The wolf was already starting to run out of breath, his lungs seemed to be burning, but he dared not slow down for a second.
'I have to find something to use as a defense, if these wolves come near me, I will never be able to bite or use my claws on them!' The wolf runs while looking for anything useful on the ground.

'It has its advantages in being a dog relative, it has never been easier to catch a twig' The wolf tries to relieve his tension with a joke, but soon begins to hear the sounds of the blue wolves approaching.
'Shit! These wolves are trying to kill an eight-day-old cub and one of them is probably my father!' The wolf shakes his head to ward off his useless thoughts, because the sounds of the blue wolves are getting closer.
While the Wolf ran, he noticed a moving bush and a blue wolf comes out of it and advances in its direction with a mouth full of teeth ready to grind he in to pieces.
