I mean, it's been there for more than ten years, and I just decided to continue writing this, all the while taking a break from my other story, 'The Human Saint is Bored'.

Orochimaru identified the vines immediately due to their distinctive green and purple veins on vines.

From what he read these are plant-type danger beasts of grade 2. They are plants that attack any living being which is using chakra in his vicinity and strangle and inject poison in the being.

Their poison is nonlethal and only influences the mind a little and made it groggy.

The ones who got entangled must be using chakra to increase their speed to follow the examiner.

But the difficulties were not only these. Suddenly a wolf appeared before them, the wolf is low-grade 2 class danger beast which uses their chakra internally to make their body strong.

They attacked the people immediately after seeing them. Although they would have been easily defeated, just as some people attacked it they were also entangled by the vines. 

Orochimaru know the reason for this, it was because they used chakra and were therefore entangled. It means that they have to defeat a low chunnin class opponent without using chakra.

Suddenly Orochimaru zoomed anear wolf at fast speed. Just as the wolf moved its jaws to attack him Orochimaru spun midair and using the wolf as a foothold he increased speed and sprung forward.

Although Orochimaru could've killed it easily why would he help his competitor in the exam?

Moreover, he is saving stamina for any more challenges.

Moving forward he was met by many more wolves but he passed by them easily and came out of the jungle.

What met his eyes was water, endless water everywhere. Orochimaru was fascinated, after all even though he traveled outside the village but he always took a mission which was near the village to complete them in less time.

It was his first time seeing the wonder of nature. But ignoring his awe for the vast river he followed the examiner who was leisurely running on water.

It seemed their next test was chakra control.
After consuming stamina and chakra they are using this method to consume their mental strength. 

It took focus on chakra control, moreover, it is more difficult in their current situation.

After somewhat half an hour of following Orochimaru noticed that some of the participants were able to catch up with them.

The number of participants dwindled a lot after this. The condition of some was also very miserable and fatigued.

While they were running on water Orochimaru noticed the examiner taking out a bottle and sprinkle something on himself.

This alerted Orochimaru and he was ready for any attack or any new obstacle. Nothing happened after half an hour, but he still did not put his guard down.

Suddenly Orochimaru jumped upwards, and the place where he and the participants stood was attacked by tentacles. Some people were captured as they were fatigued but most of them dodged it.

After all, all the people remaining till now must be elites of all the participants. But it seems that the creature was not satisfied as they were all greeted by a large number of tentacles.

Orochimaru slid on tentacles using a 50-50 grind. As more tentacles attacked him but he increased acceleration and escaped the attack.

Suddenly a tentacle attacked at his skateboard to strangle it but Orochimaru performed an original backflip while applying spin on it.

The skateboard rotated at fast speed cutting the tentacle and stopped before Orochimaru landed again on it.

Using skateboard he escaped all attacks using and finally when he reached near the edge of the area the tentacles were attacking, the skateboard formed thorns at the bottom which attached to the tentacles and Orochimaru jumped using a skateboard as a foothold.

The thorns punctured the tentacled from the force applied.

Two purple scalpels were formed on Orochimaru's arms and he used to spin and cut the tentacle which lashed in his direction and finally he landed in the water again and started sprinting to catch up with the examiner.

He also noticed that there were many remarkable candidates. They were able to escape the tentacles in a short amount of time.

It looks like they trespassed the territory of a dangerous beast and this was attacked. ones they leave a certain area they were no longer attacked.

Finally, at next day, Orochimaru noticed land. From what Orochimaru has read in maps and geography it is the land of waves.

And after arriving on land the examiner finally stopped. Orochimaru noticed that only 16 people including himself were remaining.

After stopping examiner checked the condition and number of people.
He was satisfied as the number was surprisingly still in double digits.

But what surprised him was the child in white hair. He was certainly youngest and even half age of even most number of people, but he didn't even have a scratch and didn't even look roughed up.

But he still kept his calm and waited for a little. Soon his subordinates arrived as he looked at them they nodded affirmatively in his direction.

It meant that all the disqualified people were rescued and were sent to the village.

Finally for the first time in 3 days candidates heard the examiner's voice.
"All of the remaining people are eligible for the exam."

After he finished speaking the other anbu members distributed us a storage scroll and the examiner continued."Your mission is only to kill the dangerous beast and give to it us.
Low, mid, and high grade 3 beast will only give you 10,20, and 30 points resp. while low, mi, the high grade will give you 300,500,1000 points resp. The time limit is 1 week."

After saying that he vanished in a swirl of leaves.

Although the examiner said about mid and high grade 3 beast Orochimaru knows that they will not even able to kill high-grade level 3 danger beast even after all of them team-up.
Furthermore, mid grade 3 danger beast is also risky for them.

Although Orochimaru can kill that dangerous beast he will not show his strength unnecessarily.
And it is also about the ability to find the dangerous beast. As it's not like a dangerous beast of high grades can be found by them easily.

 Orochimaru didn't say anything to other participants and he was not even thinking of making a team with any other candidate.

Firstly, because he likes being solo.
And second, there were only 10 seats so he has to be wary of other people, after all, they are ninja and they can use underhanded tricks like stealing the scroll and body of the dangerous beast.

Marko:"I'm not. Turn on the music so we can have something to do."

Time skip: 12:00 Am/Midnight-Location:Woods near Diaz residents. 
Marco:Dinner was good. Who knew being high made food taste better?"
Sebastián:(That is known as having the munchies. It doesn't happen to everyone, but when it does food become life.)
Marco:"Now I know why we had to come into the woods but why am I naked?"
Sebastián:(Marko do you really want to lose another pair of clothes? The transformation would destroy them for the first time. When you get used to it and can control it properly. Then you would be able to transform without destroying your clothes.)
Marko:"Oh.....Well that makes since now. I didn't even think about what could happen to my clothes when I transformed."
Sebastián:(Well now you know. Also it's time to transform.)
Marko nodded his head and proceeded to transform for the first time while looking at the full moon. He tore his flesh piece by piece revealing pitch black fur beneath his skin. Marko roared in agony and the remainder of his skin fell off revealing a massive beast who was black as the night. The beast then howled at the moon asserting the area as it's domain. The werewolf proceeded to hunt down any animals near it. As quick as lightning the beast vanished in a blur of speed. 
Throughout the night a wolf's howl could be heard through the forest. When morning came a nude teenager covered in dirt and blood could be seen past out on the forest floor.  The boy's eyes opened and he got up in a hurry. Looking at where he was at. The boy's face showed confusion and the like thunder realisation struck him. 
Marko:"Holy Shit how did I end up here. Why am I covered In blood. Is it human blood? God I hope not. Wait a second, why can't I remember last night?"
Sebastián:(Marko when you transformed you when through immense pain. So I warn you now if you really want to remember. You will remember everything, even the pain. It will be quick, but it will be painful.)Sebastián said in a warning tone. 
Marco:"I want to remember. Even if it hurts. I need to know what happened,"Marco said with determination and conviction. 
Sebastián:(Ok then.)Sebastián proceeded to remove the memory block.
Marco's face scrunched up in pain before it went away.
Marco:"Ok so this is deer blood. Damn that transformation hurt. At least it only hurts the first time. It was fun though. I can't believe the thrill I felt in that form. The adrenalin rush was fantastic. I never felt that way before.  I was able to do so many amazing things. That was an experience I'll never forget."Marco said in a voice full of fondness. 
Sebastián:(Well Marko you have completed your first mission. Here are your rewards.)
"Ding"Mission completed{Rewards: Artemis's bow and Animal Transformation magic.}
Marco checked his inventory and found a bow right next to a book. He clicked on the book. The a blue panel said do you wish to learn this?{YES/NO} Marko clicked on yes. Then a flood of information about the magic went into his brain. Marko felt as if he could use the magic since he was born. 
Marko proceeded to transform between a lion, housecat, eagle ,and a shark. Marko had a look of awe within his eyes. His whole being vibrated in excitement at the possibilities this magic gave. Suddenly he felt tired as if he just ran a marathon.
Marko:"Why do I feel so tired all of a sudden."Marko asked with a confused expression. 
Sebastián:(Well Marko your Magic is at zero. You used it all in one go. Each form uses magic to shift into. The bigger the form the more magic needed. When you turned into a shark it was a giant form. So it's to be expected for you to be tired since you haven't trained yet.)Sebastián said as if he was giving a lecture at a college.
Marco:"Well that makes sense. I didn't even check the limits of what I could do magic wise yet."
Sebastián:(Marco I believe it would be best if you headed home and got cleaned up. After all you are naked covered in blood and dirt in the middle of a forest. Also it's 5:00AM you have school later on in the day.)
Marco:"Shit!!!. I totally forgot about school. I have to hurry home."Marco said in a panicked voice.
Marco stood and ran so fast that he was nothing, but a blur to the normal eye. When he got to his house. Marco jumped and ended up all the way on his roof. After that he climbed into his window. As soon as he was in his room Marco locked his door and headed towards the bathroom. 
About 1 hour later Marko could be seen in his pajamas looking at his phone. He was in the kitchen eating cereal while watching memes. Out of nowhere he got a text from Janna. It said/Marco what are you doing up. You're just sitting their eating cereal in your kitchen at this ungodly time.\
Marco:"What the fuck how does she know i'm up and where i'm at? Sebastian, how does she do that?"
Sebastián:(Marco it's best not to ask questions that can't be answered.)Sebastian said with amusement clear in his voice. Like he knew something he didn't.
Marco just had a look of wtf on his face. Then he decided it was best to not linger on it.
Marco:"I'm still curious on how she knew I was on my phone."
Marco then heard someone say behind him:"It's because i'm in your kitchen and you didn't even notice me."
Marco looked at who said that and saw Janna just laying on his counter with a look of amusement. 
Marco:"What the hell are you doing here it's five in the morning."
Janna"I was doing a ritual in the forest and I saw you running back home naked covered in blood. If you were going to murder somone then why didn't you invite me bro?"
Marko:"I didn't kill someone!!!" Marko told her 
Janna:"Yeah whatever you mister werewolf."Janna said in a bored tone of voice while rolling her eyes. 
Marko:" What do you mean by mister werewolf?"Marko asked nervously. 
Janna:"Bro I just told I was in the forest doing a ritual. It took all Night so I saw the whole thing."
Marko:"I don't know what you're talking about. You need to leave."
Janna:"Stop being a dick wolf boy and pass the milk."Janna said unfazed by the whole situation. Marko passed her the milk and sighed in defeat. 
Marko:"What ritual were you doing?" Marko asked in curiosity.
Janna:"I was trying to find a werewolf and I guess it worked. You look hot by the way. Let me guess being a werewolf did this."Janna said while looking at him from top to bottom. 
Marko:"Yeah I guess it did. So now what?"
Janna:"Well lover boy I want you to turn me." Janna said with a smile.
Marco:"Hell no. I'm not doing that. I don't even know what would happen to you."
Marko:[Hey Sebastián would turning her give her the weaknesses or would she be like me?]Marko asked Sebastian In his mind.

Janna:"Marco you idiot I like you. I thought it was obvious. Either you said yes so that date is happening."
Marco was shocked then he facepalmed and sighed in realization. 
Marco:"Wow….It was obvious the whole time we've been friends. I feel dumb now like a rock."
Janna:"That's because you are as dense as a rock."Janna said in mock anger.

The brand was Zero and it had a white skull on the black bottom of the deck. It had spitfire wills and Bones swiss bearings with independent silver trucks. Marko had customized it before dinner yesterday.
 Marko and Janna left for school. Marko was skating on the board while Janna stood on the back of it. They crushed all the way to school.

What would happen if before the beginning of Stars and Marcos adventure? That Macro's life was changed before they met. That the change was something he never expected. 'Holy dgsosnsgshfb i just cuss at my teacher' i cant believe i just did that but he did say something stupid i need to get a grip or they'll see the real me and the real me aint happy with sunshine and rainbows i swear ive learned too much from kacchan i need to think about my words carefully next time.I really hope they dont bring it up again.At the moment im just riding along letting my skateboard take me where ever. When i look to see where im at im back at the fountain.'their still there' i accidentally giggle a little which gets there attention "oh its just promblem child thought u left" i frown "i did for some reason i ended up back here" yamada laughs "maybe when u leave again ull end up back here" i smile " lets hope not id hate to disturb whatever yall doing" aizawa puts his hair up " ur not disturbing us we are just put here to get some fresh air" i nod "Oh okay welp imma leave again hopefully i dont end up back here"

I get off my skateboard and shove my phone on my back pocket while running in the directions of the dorms "u wanna know watch the news tommorow on channel 3" i leave my very confussed teachers.

 I make it to the dorms and i quietly go inside and back to my room and grab a bag and put a taser and pepper spray and some clothes in then i put it on one shoulder,lock my door then leave as quietly as i came only to be scarred when i see kacchan in the kitchen."where are u going nerd" i turn around slowly "um...well u see" he turns around "spit it out damn nerd" i grab my skateboard up after putting my shoes on "he's back home" kacchan looks surprised "they werent supposed to let him out for another 3 years.Want me to tell the teachers where ur at?" I shake my head " already ran into aizawa-sensei and present mic and told them i wont be here tomorrow." Kacchan sighs "u have my phone number if he does anything text me and ill blow his ass to the moon this time" i giggle "i will kacchan and thank u well i should go i need to be there with mom when he gets back" me and kacchan wave goodbye to each other and i leave on my skateboard making sure to avoid the fountain and go the back way.

"We're begging you to kill the lights, kill the actor, kill the actress, or kill us all!" We all yelled along with thebmusic. We were driving around town aimlessly. There was nothing to do today,
and we didn't feel like seeing a movie or anything.

"So now what do we do?" Shane asked, turning downa street we had already been down 3 times. His parents were nice enough to pay for gas money, so, being the considerate teenagers we were, we were wasting it all to listen to music and kill a few hours.

"We could cut our hair," Mitch suggested.

See, we had a summer tradition. Every summer, we would cut each other's hair at least once, and give it a new style. 

I looked at my obnoxiously long hair and nodded eagerly. I wasn't against haircuts or anything, I was just too lazy to get it cut. My mom always offered because she hated my hair when it was long, but she always cut it too short.

"I'm down for that," Shane said, his hair hanging down a little ways past his ears.

He made an illegal U-turn and drove us back to his house. We got out and followed him inside, grabbing scissors out of the kitchen.

We went out to the back deck and set up speakers. I sat on a chair, twirling my wavy locks arournd my finger. It was too hot out for long hair, anyways. No big loss.

"Where we gonna go? He's got us pinned. Baby I'm a little scared! Now don't you quit! He's sounded the alarm, I hear the sirens closing in. Our paper faces flood the streets," the music sang.

"Cut mine," Shane said, tossing the scissors to me.

I managed to catch them without cutting my hand off and went over as he sat down. I eyed it and shrugged.

"How short?" I asked.

"Not too short. I want it to still cover my ears," he said.

I nodded and got to work. Mitch mumbled along the lyrics as music played, watching me cut his brother's hair. When I was done, I nodded to myself. Mitch went inside and came back out with a hand mirror, passing it to Shane.

"Nice" Shane said, appreciating his hair.

"I don't trust Shane to get near my hair. You cut it, Jace. Same length as Shane's, maybe a little longer," Mitch said, shoving Shane out of the chair and dropping into it.

Shane pushed himself off of the ground, glared at his brother, and sat up on the deck railing. I got to work on Mitch's hair, handing him the mirror when I was done and admiring my own work.

Shane typically kept his hair the same length, even though he tended to style it differently. It hung a little past his ears, a nice length for him.
But Mitch used to keep his hair fairly short. He had grown it out a little, and I had cut it slightly shorter than Shane's. It looked soft and had a healthy shine. He looked up at me with those pale blue eyes of his, running a hand through
his hair.

"Thanks. It looks nice. Want me to do yours?" he asked.

"Yea," I said, handing him the scissors and taking his spot in the chair.

"Yea," I said, handing him the scissors and taking his spot in the chair.

"I'm going to chop most of it off," he warned me.

"Go for it. It's too hot out for it to be this long," I said.

He got to work and I watched as my hair piled up on the ground in an alarming amount. A couple of songs played out before Mitch finally stopped butchering my hair.

"Damn. You don't even look like you anymore," Shane said, letting out a whistle.

I picked up the mirror andbadmired my appearance. "I look like present day William Beckett," I said.

"He's your favorite artist, so I figured you wouldn't have a problem with it," Mitch said, shrugging and setting the scissors down. "Besides, I like you better with short hair."

I couldn't stop staring at my own reflection. Dear god; I was one attractive son of a bitch. Hey there handsome guy, I didn't realize you were hiding under all that hair.

"I'm sexy. I'm keeping my hair this short for a while," I said, setting thebmirror down and standing up.

"You're welcome," Mitch said, leaning against the railing.

"$20 says my mom doesn't know who I am when she sees me," I said.

"Well, that was a fun way to pass the time. What now?" Shane asked, squinting up at the sky.

Mitch shrugged, kicking the pile of hair off of the deck. "I don't know."

Jasper came outside. He looked up at us and had to do a double take. "Holy shit," he said, eyeing each of us. "I faintly recognize these two. But who are you?"

"Very funny Jasper," I said, rolling my eyes.

"My handy work," Mitch said, raising his hand.

"Looking good, kid," Jasper said, punching my shoulder lightly.

"We're bored, dad. Give us something to do," Shane said.

"You could skateboard across the street. Or hideout in the tree house and tell yourselves that I don't know you're getting high up there," he said.

"We don't get high in the tree house," Shane lied.

"Oh yes you do. And one of these days you're going to fall out of the tree house and I'm not going to feel bad for you," Jasper said.

"I asked for something to do, not you to show us your heartless side," Shane said.

"Alright, alright. Like I said, you could skateboard. Or swim. Or go to the movies. Or be productive," he said.

"Ugh, I'm so bored," Shane groaned, leaning back at a dangerous angle on the rail.

Jasper reached forward, gripping Shane's shirt and pulling him up. "Don't kill yourself. Anyways, I came out here because I need Mitch's help. Come with me to the garage for a few minutes," he said.

Mitch got up and follovwed his dad back into the house. I took his spot, leaning against the railing and looking around, bored out of my mind.

"You're acting different around Mitch. Why?" Shane asked.

He acted oblivious, but the guy had been my best friend since we were in diapers. He noticed when I changed, even slightly.

I shrugged. "I don't know," I said honestly.

"Did he do something?" Shane asked.

I shook my head. "Nah, he didn't do anything. I guess it just kind of started randomly yesterday. I'm still trying to figure it out."

"Well, maybe ambushing the brat would make you feel better," he said, a mischievous grin coming to his face. "We have water guns and trees to hide in. Let's go."

I returned the grin and jumped up. We grabbed water guns froma little box on the deck and filled them up in the pool. We went over to the easiest tree to climb and pulled ourselves up and out of sight.

We waited, legs swinging off the branches. Finally, Mitch came out the back door. He looked curiously, walking to edge of the deck and peering over to see if we were hiding.

"Fire," Shane whispered.

We aimed and began shooting at Mitch. He yelped and jumped back, glaring up at us and ducking behind the deck. He darted over to the box on the deck, fishing out a water gun.

"Get him before he fills up!" Shane cried, hastily climbing out of the tree. I copied him and we charged at Mitch as he made a mad dash for the pool.

He ducked away from us as we shot at him again and dunked the gun into the pool, filling it up quickly. He rolled behind the deck railing and peeked over the top, aiming at me and shooting.

Water splashed into my face and I ducked behind Shane. Shane grabbed my arm and pulled me behind a tree. We stood up and fired at Mitch, aiming over the rail so that we could hit him.

We ran out of water quickly and cursed, ducking back behind the tree. Mitch was next to the pool, so he had the advantage.

"Let's charge him and dunk him," Shane said.

I nodded and we grinned, abandoning our water guns and charging out from behind the tree. 

Mitch, realizing what was happening, tossed the gun to the side and scrambled to jump over the side of the railing.

We grabbed his shirt and pulled him back, trying to drag him over to the pool. He struggled against us, managing to slip free of my grasp.

"Shane!" he cried.

"In he goes!" Shane said, releasing Mitch and turning to me. 

The brothers grinned and grabbed me, Shane getting my legs and Mitch getting my arms. I let out a yell as they swung me back and forth a few times before releasing me.

My limbs flailed and then I crashed into the water. I broke the surface and shook my hair out of my face wildly, coughing up water.

"You two suck!" I yelled, flipping them off.

"I'll go get him a towel. You get him out of there," Shane said and laughed, heading inside the house.

Mitch came over and helped me out of the pool. I resisted the urge to throw him into the pool and settled for shaking my hair off on him.

"God, you're like a wet dog," he said, jumping away from me.

"You're lucky I didn't have my phone in my pocket!" I said.

"We knew you didn't. None of us did," Mitch said. 

"They're all on the counter inside."

"Still," I grumbled, running a hand through my wet, and now short, hair. Mitch grinned. "It was payback."

"Oh yea? I growled, grabbing him and restraining his arms, swinging him towards the pool. He struggled against me and I stopped, glancing from him to the pool.

Now, I had throw Mitch into the pool god only knows how many times. I always picked on him and did things like that to him.

But I suddenly felt bad and released him. He looked at me, confused. He was used to me doing shit like that to him. When I had a chance, I took it.

"Are you okay Jace?" he asked.

"Yea," I said, wondering if I actually was.

This place did remind him of his time in America. He and Himuro had met a few skaters at the basketball courts and they taught the two kids to ride skateboards.
Yui turned to Kagami who seemed to be lost in thought staring at the park. She tapped his shoulder and motioned for him to follow her. They went up to the deck and Yui positioned her skateboard at the edge of the bowl [1] and rubbed her nose.
"Oi, you sure you can skate? I can't be bothered to look after an injured child," Kagami said watching her. Yui pouted when she looked at him. "Child? We're the same age aho. And yes, I can skate,"
Without another word, Yui tipped her skateboard and rode into the bowl. She smiled as she felt the breeze and took her board up to the other side and did a trick where she stayed on the edge and went back down. Finally she came back up to Kagami and landed on the deck.
"Well? How's that?" the brunette smirked feeling proud. Kagami shrugged and took his position.
"H-hang on, are you sure YOU can handle it? You've only skated a bit right?" Yui asked with genuine worry. She thought that with the idiot's competitive attitude, he was trying to match her. Kagami ignored her and went down the side.
What happened next made Yui drop her jaw.

Yui was about to say something when another voice spoke up grabbing both their attentions. They turned to see a group of teens, perhaps their age or older, walking to them holding skateboards of their own.
"That was some rad skating dude," a guy with cornrow braids said grinning. He had black hair and a lip piercing. Frankly, he looked a little intimidating but he had a friendly tone in his voice. There was a girl and two other guys behind him.
"Who are you?" Kagami asked wearing his normal grumpy face. Yui jabbed his side and spoke in a more polite tone. "What he means to say is 'thanks'. Don't mind his rude tone,"
Instead of being offended, the cornrow guy just grinned. "No worries. Anyone would be on guard to a couple of delinquent-looking individuals,"
"O-oh no that's not what- no sorry if that's what you thought but we weren't thinking that. Who are you guys? Skaters?"
"That's right hime[princess]," a guy with pale brown hair said. He wore a beanie and had hair just above his shoulder.
"I'm Rio, the one with the beanie is Hiro, the girl is Haruka and shortie is Akito," The cornrow guy introduced. The 'shortie' glared at his friend who pretended not to notice.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Yui and this guy is Kagami Taiga," Yui bowed. The four were taken aback at her formalness. "No need to be so formal. We're all the same age..I think," Rio said rubbing the back of his head embarrassed.
"Ne eyebrows, how long you been skating? That was some cool moves ya showed," Hiro, the beanie guy, asked.
"Who hell you calling eyebrows?!" Kagami growled.
"This guy told me he only skated a bit and yet he was able to pull off those tricks," Yui huffed still annoyed. 'I think I know how people felt when they first played against the GOM. Curse you prodigies.'
"Ehh? How about we have a little competition?" Rio suggested. "Just a friendly one of course,"
"Huh? Why would I-He'd love too," Yui cut off Kagami who glared at her. She smiled mischievously. Yui was a petty person who held grudges.
"How about we make this a little interesting?" The girl, Haruka, said. Rio raised his eyebrow. "How?"
"Whoever wins gets to dare the loser to do anything," Haruka smirked. She had short silver coloured hair and multiple ear piercings. She seemed like your typical bad girl honestly.
"Hmm...I don't mind. What about you eyebrows?" Rio gave Kagami a cheeky grin. Kagami felt a vein throbbing in his head. "I didn't even agree to- Sure why not?" Yui cut him off again.
"Oi stop interrupting me dammit!" Kagami growled. He was beginning to regret accepting this girl's invitation.
"It'll be fine. Besides, this'll be the only free time you'll have since the inter-high tournament is starting," Yui whispered. "I know you love basketball but it won't be so fun during training itself."
Kagami sighed. As long as it had anything to do with basketball, Kagami did it faithfully- that is, even the training and practice. He was too lazy to argue anymore so he just gave in.
"Alright, Kagami you go first. The judges will be hime, Hiro and Akito,"
"Whatever," Kagami muttered and readied himself. Once he was ready, he pushed off and skated down the slopes and up the sides doing tricks and flips every now and again whilst perfectly keeping his balance on his landings. Yui was once again in awe and quickly took out her phone to snap multiple shots and even recorded a video.
Kagami finished his routine and came back up. He gave a challenging look to Rio who chuckled nervously.
'Scary. He's like a wild beast.'
Rio positioned himself and took off. Kagami and Yui watched with interest and were surprised at how good the cornrow was. He performed a couple of tricks himself and managed to pull off more flips than Kagami. His performance captivated Yui and Kagami and were still in awe when he finished.
"Well then?" Rio asked slightly out of breath. "Who won?"
"I swear I'm not being biased but I vote for Rio," Hiro said. The rest weren't too surprised since both skaters displayed excellent skills.
"I disagree. I think the redhead did better," Akito said. Kagami didn't anything but smirked and Rio glared at his friend. Akito was most likely still holding a grudge against the former who had insulted his height.
"Well hime, you're the only one left. Who do you think did better?" Rio asked. Everyone else turned to Yui who got nervous but she opened her mouth and answered them.

Seth flew by again. This time Ajax looked up and distantly wondered where he'd found the skateboard. He shoved himself to his feet and stood over Leo's body, watching as Seth moved among the monsters that had killed him.
The boy was fast and professional. He had a knife in one hand, and he seemed to use his feet and the skateboard as much as the blade. He was smiling again.
"Guardian!" bellowed Descry. He held Natalie with both his front paws. One of her arms twisted oddly, and a claw down her side had ripped a neat slash in her leather jacket and the shirt and skin underneath. One of Descry's paws held the hand with the sword far away from him. She gasped as if the breath had been knocked out of her. "Look what I have, dancing Guardian. Your partner. Can you dance without her?"
Seth stopped his skateboard and looked at the pair of them. His smile never flickered. "Look at that. Why'd you go and do a crazy thing like that?" He kicked his skateboard up into his hand and started walking toward the two of them.

Another child appeared at the front door of the house down the street, his legs covered in scratches from the Awakened herding him. Ajax's father yelled again, the incoherent cry of a man trapped in a nightmare.
Something brittle snapped in Ajax. He ran into his house, to his father's room, grabbing the crowbar from beside the door as he went. One of the Awakened crouched over Jim, gnawing on one of his hands. It was a skull-headed wolf, with tentacles around the bone muzzle and a long, barbed, prehensile tail. Ajax recognized it. He'd drawn it only a few days ago.
It twitched, lunged forward to Jim's face, and yanked itself back again, moaning. Jim was moaning, too, thrashing around trying to free himself from something that could only exist in nightmares for him.
Ajax swung the crowbar at the monster. Just as the bat had, it passed through the monster, although this time Ajax felt a little resistance. Unbeknownst to her, there was a silver-haired youngster beside Qin Mo. In that instant, rows of codes appeared. She tapped the lines and started her hunt. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she utilized the way of thought she had ingrained since young.
Ever since Bo Jiu had been a month old, she had gone through the ancient tradition of picking out an item. She had gripped onto a keyboard and had subsequently broken into an ATM machine. These had all been signs of her natural hacker instincts. From then on, the Hacker world had been bestowed with the strongest master.
With a tap of the space bar, she zeroed in on the location! Bo Jiu glanced up towards Qin Mo, giving him an okay sign. She took less than twenty seconds.
Fan Jia's face started to darken as the ways of escape ran through her mind.
When her gaze fell on the time bomb beside her, she started to calm down. "What if it's me? Since you managed to track her down, you should know she is now a hostage. The latest model time bomb, a grand gift after three years. I'm going to leave the phone here, it's also for her parents to see how their daughter is going to look at the last moment of her life. Ah, right, I have something else to tell you, she is also one of the accomplices from the Maiden's Sacrifice. Alright, it's time for you to make a decision, are you going to catch me, the real culprit or are you going to save the accomplice?" 
The girl's mother was listening to the entire conversation. When she heard that last line, she lost all signs of sanity, gripping onto Qin Mo's arm. "I beg you, please save my daughter, I'm begging you."

Fan Jia definitely heard the pleas even though it wasn't loud. "Seems like her parents are there as well. How are you going to choose?"
Bo Jiu sucked on her lollipop, watching as Qin Mo's injured hand started to tighten. She reached out and held onto his fingers, her eyes dark.
The girl's mother held onto her face and continued, "I beg you, please save my daughter."
"You aren't saying anything, it seems like you don't wish to save her." Fan Jia took another step forward. "It isn't a cheap phone, Apple. She had been flaunting about it on the internet but from my investigations, she doesn't come from a wealthy family. Her mother sure is pitiful, without power, she can only watch her daughter die." 
The girl's mother reached forward to snatch the phone, glaring at Qin Mo with hatred as though he was an evil criminal.
Bo Jiu paused. Before she could say anything, Qin Mo ordered, "Where is the location? Prepare to take action."
The girl's mother lowered her guard and started to beg the others beside her. "You heard him, he chose to save my daughter, you heard it!"
Fan Jia wasn't interested in the old woman's words and hung up.
In that instant, the room fell silent.
Qin Mo stood up, turning towards the mother with her aging hair, his voice slow and steady. "Just half a month ago, your daughter supported an author that plagiarized. The original author's mother is older than you, she stood outside the courtroom with her daughter's ashes. The case is still ongoing, do you know why? Because there are many accomplices like your daughter around."
The mother froze, her eyes tearing up. She watched the strong back turn to leave and wanted to say more but the words were stuck.
Bo Jiu watched the handsome face for a moment. In the end, she didn't enter the car. Instead, she slammed the door shut and leapt over the car smoothly towards the car on the other side.
Before she left, she said, "Your hands are for saving lives, mine are…"
Qin Mo didn't hear the end of the sentence clearly. When he pushed open the car door, all he saw was the youngster's back view gliding into the alley.
In the alleys located in the old part of Jiang City were old grandfathers using the most ancient methods to shave hair with a washing basin, shaving knife, and white towel. One grandfather smoked a cigarette. It was the carefree and suave lifestyle of the hairstylist in old Jiang City.
However, they hadn't expected to see someone cooler than them. Bo Jiu glided past, grabbing onto their shaver as she shouted, "Sir, I'm going to borrow this."
With a lift of her fingers, she seemed to have tossed something over. She took two long strides before lifting herself onto a wall. Her left arm was reaching for a corner of the wall before she landed smoothly on the other side.
The old grandfather was blown away, mainly because she had accurately aimed for his palms. A pack of cigarettes?
"Mmh, this kid isn't bad, he looks good too." The grandpa chuckled as he commented. "He can climb fences well too."
The stylist wanted to curse. "But he can't just take my shaver for a pack of cigarettes! Besides, I'm only fifteen, how can he call me Sir!" His voice echoed throughout the alley.
When Bo Jiu landed, she steadied herself with her hands and stuffed the shaver into a small gap between her pants and her skin, the weapon bringing her a sense of security.
She hadn't been able to keep a knife due to the Almighty's tight watch and it had taken a toll on her confidence.
She glanced up and bumped straight into a kid on his skateboard. He had witnessed her stuffing the razor blade between her pants. Was that guy crazy?
"Hey, brother." Bo Jiu has always warmed up to others easily. She walked forward and placed her hands over his shoulder.
The little boy coughed, replying comfortably, "Uncle, who is your brother?"
Bo Jiu: … How did a millennial like her look like an uncle!
"Let's make a deal, Handsome." Bo Jiu lowered her body.
The boy arched a brow. "Handsome is good. Alright, what deal?"
"I'll exchange my wallet for your skateboard." Bo Jiu chuckled.
The boy sized him up. "Do I look poor? Stop trying to corrupt me with your dirty thoughts. How much are you willing to pay?"
"I'll leave my entire wallet here, I'll be back later to take it back," Bo Jiu replied and with a flash, she stepped onto his skateboard and propelled herself forward. After stabilizing, she straightened suavely and made a smooth turn, leaving the boy in awe.
When the boy finally regained his senses, he tapped his brain. "Wait a minute! Uncle, what's your name!"
Bo Jiu didn't turn back. She bent and zoomed through the long alley.
As for the route she was going to take, that was easy because that particular position only led to one town: the one beside the ocean!

As a criminal, Bo Jiu knew how important geographical locations were.
She glanced down at the time on her phone as the skateboard glided past the uneven terrains towards the main road.
Right at this moment, all the warmth disappeared from Qin Mo's eyes.
"Release the criminal's video, put up roadblocks on road no. 1174 towards Yi Town. Wolf, Magician, go over. The others will follow me to the city center."
"Yes."
Once again, the four sports cars separated. But unlike before, there wasn't a driver in the Land Rover. Qin Mo was alone. The steering wheel turned, the car sliding past multiple cars smoothly, stopping in front of a partially demolished building.
Fan Jia was no longer around. And she had taken a remote control with her. Other than the timer, she could make other alterations through the remote control. She wasn't going to let it end so easily.
She wanted Qin Mo to be in pain. She wanted to obtain him and first, she would have to destroy his belief.
Hence, Fan Jia wasn't worried about being located since there wasn't anyone else other than Qin Mo who could find her.
Beep.

Beep.
When she heard that two beeps, she still wasn't sure what was happening to the girl on the roof.
The moment the girl opened her eyes, she was still slightly out of sorts but when she saw the thing tied to her body, she started to feel afraid.
She started to struggle but wasn't able to free herself. "Save me, save me!"
The door slammed open. Qin Mo held a metal pole in one hand while the other was still tightly bound in the bandage.
When he walked over, the girl finally stopped shouting, her face drenched in tears. She recognized him through the esports battles and thus exclaimed, "Almighty Qin."
Qin Mo swept her a glance, his voice frosty. "If the person I love the most is even the least bit injured because of you, I'll send you straight to prison tomorrow."

"Do you think it's a good idea to show up at his home unannounced?" Rose asks, heading to the chinese healing shop Juleka saw Jake at two weeks ago.
"Yes. He seems lonely and you're the best one to help with that." Juleka replies in a mumble.
"Oh thank you Juleka. That's too nice." The happy girl says smiling brightly and hugs her best friend.
"Come on it's right over there." Juleka says, pointing at the shop where the two girls see Jake carry a heavy looking stone statue on his shoulder.
"He's stronger than he looks." Rose says impressed, almost having stars in her eyes.
"Seems that way, come on let's see if he has time." Juleka says, gathering her nerves and grabs Rose's hand, entering the shop, catching both men's attention.
"Oh, Jake I think you have guests over." The old man says, smiling at them from his seat on a pillow with some tea in front of him.
"Yeah. Do you have time or are you busy?" Rose asks quickly, seeing Juleka get nervous.
"Sure. Want to come up to my room?" He offers, the blonde nodding eagerly, pulling her dark-haired bestie along.
"Be careful not to reveal anything. There are some rare artefacts in this household." Master Fu tells Jake before he can follow the girls upstairs.
"Sure, like you old man." Jake jokes, making the man's kwami laugh, but only receives a disapproving look from his grandfather.
"Ah you've found it already." Jake says, arriving in his room with the two girls standing in the middle of it.
"Sorry. Are we intruding?" Juleka asks quietly.
"No. My grandfather just doesn't like me very much. Beats me why he was so adamant on me coming here." Jake tells them, putting down some pillows for them and himself.
"Want something to drink?" Jake offers, receiving a happy nod from Rose.
"I hope lemonade is fine. Gramps doesn't really drink anything other than tee so we don't have much diversity I'm afraid." Jake tells them, fetching glasses and a bottle of cold lemonade from the kitchen area across from his room.
"Your house style is very interesting", Rose says.
"Gramps Fu is old fashioned that way. This is a typical asian styled house." Jake replies, setting down the drinks in front of them and sits down across from the best friends.
"So, why are you here?" Jake asks curiously.
"You seemed lonely and I wanted you to meet Rose." Juleka says, looking in her lap.
"It's that obvious huh?" He asks with an embarrassed chuckle.
"No. I had no idea before Juleka mentioned it." Rose says, hugging her friends side.
"Well I appreciate the gesture. I really do but I don't think I'm really the greatest company." Jake tells them.
Juleka mumbles something but none of the two understand her.
"What were you saying Juleka?" Rose asks, looking at her friend.
"I said I - I always enjoyed your company Jake." Juleka blurts out, breathing heavily afterwards.
"Thanks. I know it's not easy for you to say stuff like that so I'll treasure this moment." Jake says with a kind smile.
"Hey, do you like Ice cream?" Rose suddenly asks Jake, not picking up on the intense eye contact the other two are sharing.
"Who doesn't. Why?" Jake replies.
"We should go looking for Andre's ice cream stall." Rose suggests excitedly.
"Who's that?" Jake asks.
"You don't know Andre yet? He's only this great ice cream vendor who knows just what taste you like and who is a good pair for you. He's the ice cream matchmaker." Rose tells Jake.
"Is she for real?" Jake asks confused, Juleka nodding with a smile, looking at her giddy best friend.
"Alright, let's go. And just ignore Gramps Fu when we get downstairs." Jake says, taking his skateboard and helmet, before leading the girls downstairs and out of the shop.
"So where is this Andre's shop?" Jake asks.
"He posts hint on his page, but he always changes locations." Rose says, showing Jake pictures of the park he and Juleka met in.
"Hmm, but where could that be?" Rose asks aloud.
"I think Jules...ka and I just know the place." Jake says, leading the small group towards the park, noticing Juleka eyeing his skateboard curiously.
"Are you a dragon fan perhaps? You have a cool design on your skateboard." Juleka compliments him, looking at a red dragon shaped symbol on a green and black background.
"Yeah. Haha, you got me." He says nervously, having forgotten about the design Trixie made for him back in America.
"Did you make it? It's really well done. I'm sure Alix would think so too." Rose asks excitedly.
"No actually a friend back home made it and uhh send it to me." He lies, since he has no other explanation to why he would have had the design beforehand.
"Too bad. Still it looks cool." Rose says.
"There he is. Andre!" Rose then says taking off ahead of the two, getting an vanilla and Stracciatella ice cream from the man.
"Hello Juleka, oh and I see you and Rose brought a friend." Andre says, preparing the usual ice cream for the girl consisting of raspberry, chocolate and blueberry, Juleka having a slight frown on her face while she accepts the ice cream.
"I'm Jake." Jake introduces himself with a handshake.
"Nice to meet you Jake. The first time is on the house." Andre says with a bright smile, preparing an ice cream with a double scoop of strawberry and mint on top.
"Thanks." Jake says accepting the ice cream and heads over to the two girls, Rose already happily digging into her ice cream while Juleka looks at hers with a sigh.
"So Andre is nice. Though I think he swapped our orders." He says, swapping his ice cream with Juleka's, making her look at him and the dessert excitedly.
"It's plain as day that you don't like those flavors to me." Jake tells Juleka, licking over his ice cream with Juleka also enjoying her treat for the first time since she started visiting Andre every now and then, always hoping the man would prepare her another ice cream.
"Thank you." She says with a grin.
"Here, now you can even see the ice cream." Jake chuckles, taking an hair clip from Rose's purse and clips it on the blue bang covering her face.
"You have beautiful eyes you know." Jake compliments her.
"Oh my gosh Juleka you look so cute." Rose shouts excitedly, rarely seeing her friend like this.
"Thanks." She mumbles, trying to hide behind her ice cream.
"Thanks for today. I am lonely without my family and my old friends. We had a special relationship kind of. They knew everything about my life, something that'll be hard to share with people here." Jake explains, enjoying his ice cream.
"Why?" Juleka asks curiously, guessing he means his identity as dragon.
"I'm sure people would understand. I think I would understand whatever it is." Juleka says, sounding convinced of something for the first time since he knows the girl.
"Thank you. But sadly it's not only my decision to share parts of my life. My gramps has a right to decide on this for now at least." Jake says.
"For now? Are you moving back to America?" Juleka asks worried.
"No. I just think that at some point I should look for my own place here, even if Gramps is my legal guardian." Jake tells her.
"I know how you feel I live on the houseboat you saw. But I don't even like water." Juleka confesses with Rose coming back over to them, having said goodbye to Andre who is relocating.
"This place has some nice memories, for me at least." Jake says, putting down his skateboard and finishes his ice cream.
"Yeah. Me too." Juleka says, thinking back to the countless drawings of him she made.
"Hey. I just got an idea. You should talk to Alix. She's a roller blader I'm sure she knows a place where you could go with your skateboard." Rose says, seeing him play around with his board a bit with his feet, still sitting next to Rose.
"Yeah. That'd be amazing. I have been looking for a skaterpark." Jake says.
"I think we should get going though, it's going to rain soon." Jake tells them, smelling the rain in the air with his superhuman senses.
"It looks sunny out though." Rose says confused.
"Just trust me on this." Jake says, taking both girls hands after he secured his skateboard on his back.
 
A couple minutes later, the three drop of Rose and Jake brings Juleka home, the rain starting to come down when they reach the house boat.
"Come in or you'll catch a cold." Juleka says, ushering Jake into her home, closing the door to the deck quickly.
"Sorry about the mess. My mom insists. She says that it's good for a free spirit and unrestrained flow of inspiration." Juleka explains a bit embarrassed.
"Juleka you're back. And you brought a friend?" Juleka's brother Louka says.
"This is Jake. Jake my older brother Louka." Juleka says.
"Nice to meet you. I wasn't aware Juleka has a brother in all honestly." Jake says.
"She doesn't talk much about her family." Louka says, shooting his sister a grin.
"Could you both look away. I need to change clothes." Juleka requests blushing heavily.
"No problem Jules." The two say almost in unison.
"Jules?" Jake asks in realization.
"Yeah. I call her that sometimes." Louka says.
"Funny since she doesn't like me calling her that." Jake chuckles.
"It's no surprise to me. My sister is a very private person. I'm surprised she brought a guy over honestly." Louka says.
"So do you go to the same school as Juleka and I?" Jake asks.
"Oh, not anymore. I already graduated." Louka says.
"What are you doing then?" Jake questions.
"I'm studying music." Louka says, motioning to the guitar on his back.
"Kids I'm telling you there is an Akuma in the water. So don't go swimming here." A woman says, entering, being a bit soaked from the rain.
"Who are you?" She asks Jake surprised, with him and Louka standing facing away from her children's bedroom.
"Jake Long. I'm Juleka's classmate maam." Jake introduces himself.
"Hah, call me captain." She tells him.
"So, you go to school with my Juleka. How's she doing in class?" The woman asks.
"Uhh not sure I only came to Paris like 2 weeks ago." Jake replies.
"Really? Are you also a traveler at heart?" The woman asks intrigued.
"No. My grandfather just wanted me to come stay with him and help him with his shop and my parents thought it'd be a nice change of scenery from the streets of New York." Jake informs her.
"You speak French pretty well for an American." Juleka's mother says.
"My mother taught me since I was little due to our family here." Jake explains.
"That's nice. Well it's nice to meet you, but I have to do something now." The woman says, giving Jake a quick hug before disappearing through another door.
"Jules, are you done already?" Louka asks his sister.
"Uhh, yeah sorry. Thanks." She mumbles, stepping out of the room with Louka going inside to his bed and writes something down for a song.
"Pretty unique family you have." Jake says smiling.
"What does that mean?" Juleka asks offended.
"It's a good thing. Believe me. My dad is the total opposite of my mom too as am I with my little sister. She's the over achiever and I just want to live my life to the fullest." Jake tells her.
"You have a sister?" Juleka asks surprised.
"Yeah Haley. Her favorite free time activity was teasing me because her grades are better than mine. That's at least something I'm not missing." Jake says with a chuckle.
"Why do you think your grandfather doesn't like you?" Juleka asks.
"Because he doesn't. I remind him of his painful past." Jake says, thinking about the story his mother told him about how Fu created a monster that ate almost all of the kwami boxes except for the one he saved along with the monks who took him in. And that Fu was actually there for his birth but the next day he left and never showed his face again, only advising his mother to give him up or prepare him for a lot of hardship.
As luck would have it his mother chose the latter with Jake having become a kind of leader for the supernatural creatures in New York with help of an old magical dog.
"I miss Fu dog." Jake sighs thinking about one of his best friends and kind of mislead mentor back in New York.
"Your grandfather's dog?" Juleka asks.
"No just a special dog I knew back in New York it's actually a coincidence they are both named Fu." Jake says.
"Maybe your grandfather will let you get another dog?" Juleka suggests.
"It wouldn't be the same." Jake says shaking his head with a small smile.
"Anyways. I'm curious why are you always so quiet, shy and flustered? You are easily the most beautiful girl in class and are actually kind unlike Chloe for example." Jake asks Juleka, the two sitting on a couch in the living room area on the ship.
"That's just me. I can't help it." Juleka sighs.
"Anything I can do to help boost your confidence?" Jake asks, pushing her bang back behind her ear again, looking her deep in her eyes.
"No. I don't think so." Juleka says looking away embarrassed, brushing away his gentle hand.
"Juleka..." Jake starts to say but the girl goes to the door, opening it with the rain having stopped.
"I think you should go now. I'm sure your grandfather is waiting for you." Juleka tells him quietly.
"Alright. But don't think I've given up on getting you to show everyone just how great you are." Jake tells her with a smirk, picking up his skateboard before leaving the houseboat.
