Big Wolf was discontent. Why couldn't the creature just take him on? Why did she call her lackeys to fight him instead?

The rest of the Moon-Devouring White Wolves were coming out of the dimensional gate while Big Wolf was being a showoff. Two Moon-Devouring White Wolves that had evolved from the Enormous White Wolves immediately came to Big Wolf's aid. They agilely wove through the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders to regroup with Big Wolf. 
A total of eleven Moon-Devouring White Wolves had come out of the dimensional gate. The rest were Enormous White Wolves and the White-Marked Wolves.
Each Enormous White Wolf and White-Marked Wolf was the product of Mo Fan's efforts in collecting the Soul Remnants and Soul Essences. He preferred to keep casualties to a minimum. However, the rest of the wolves were not as intelligent as the experienced Flying Creek Snow Wolf. They would engage the enemy recklessly, especially the White-Marked Wolves. A single bite from the Commander-level creatures could easily cost them their lives. 
That was the main reason why Mo Fan had placed Apas in charge.
Mo Fan was a battle maniac himself. He didn't have the time to command the wolves when he was engaging the enemy. Luckily Apas, who was extremely afraid of getting her hands dirty, was around!.
Apas seemed to be regarding the wolves with disdain. In her eyes, they were stupid and incapable. They were so much weaker than the Medusae Tribe! 
"Big Wolf, Second Wolf, Third Wolf, come back here at once!" Apas ordered mentally.
Apas was seriously speechless after seeing how dumb the three wolves were. A few weak and skinny Carnage Poisonous Salamanders were right in front of them, yet they went straight for the fleshy Carnage Poisonous Salamander instead of eliminating the weaklings first. If they ended up being surrounded by the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders, they would have to rely on the other wolves to risk their lives and provide them with backup. What else could it be if they were not stupid!?
Big Wolf, Second Wolf, and Third Wolf were fighting enthusiastically, but they could not afford to disobey Apas' order. If Little Flame Belle was their little ancestor, Apas was their new superior! 
Luckily, the three wolves were very nimble, and managed to break free from the surround.
"Follow your leaders, don't just attack mindlessly!" Apas commanded every wolf.
There were more than two hundred Moon-Devouring White Wolves, Enormous White Wolves, and White-Marked Wolves. It was a great mess when they all came out of the dimensional gate. The lowest-leveled White-Marked Wolves were charging at the enemy recklessly. They were no different than cannon fodder in Apas' eyes. 
The wolves were up against Carnage Poisonous Salamanders, a group of Commander-level creatures. The Warrior-level White-Marked Wolves would be poisoned to death in just half a minute if they wandered close enough to the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders; their numbers would not make any difference. Therefore, Apas immediately asked the three wolf leaders to regroup and restrict the movement of the White-Marked Wolves and the Enormous White Wolves!
Apas ordered the Enormous White Wolves and the White-Marked Wolves to stick to the closest Moon-Devouring White Wolf nearby. She proceeded to split the wolves, other than the three wolf leaders, into seven squads!
The seven squads each held a Commander-level Moon-Devouring White Wolf, three Enormous White Wolves, and around twenty White-Marked Wolves!
It was inappropriate for Apas to keep consuming a huge amount of her energy just to give orders to every White-Marked Wolf, considering their numbers. Therefore, the best way was to split the wolves into squads, meaning that she would only need to give orders to the Moon-Devouring White Wolves or the Enormous White Wolves. The White-Marked Wolves would not disobey the command of the higher-level creatures!
Apas just needed to focus on commanding the Moon-Devouring White Wolves and the Enormous White Wolves to control the entire army!
"You, lead your wolves and eliminate the one close to the edge of the island."
"You, scarface, go take out the one that is spitting out poison."
"The few of you, lead the White-Marked Wolves and keep those three Carnage Poisonous Salamanders busy. Try to split them up..."
"The rest of you, maintain your formation and kill that stranded Carnage Poisonous Salamander as soon as possible!"
Apas quickly assigned them their tasks. Her main approach was to split the enemy up and focus effort on one Carnage Poisonous Salamander at a time.
Wolves were very impressive when it came to taking down an enemy with numbers. They were good at fighting in a pack. That synergy allowed them to kill a creature who was slightly stronger than them without any casualties.
However, if they were up against the same number of enemies, they would easily lose their formation and end up fighting on their own. 
Apas had allocated a portion of the wolves to split up the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders and harass them. Their job was not to inflict serious injuries and kill the enemy, but to minimize their threat and isolate the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders. 
Once a Carnage Poisonous Salamander was isolated, Apas would immediately give the order to kill it. The Moon-Devouring White Wolves, Enormous White Wolves, and White-Marked Wolves would use their deadliest moves. It was unlikely that a Carnage Poisonous Salamander could survive them!
Apas split the battle into smaller fights, taking out the enemy one by one. It greatly minimized their casualties, while reducing the enemy's numbers. 
The snakes and scorpions were quite similar to the wolves in terms of their fighting habits. Therefore, the approach that Apas normally used to command the snakes and scorpions was very effective for the wolves, too!
Two isolated Carnage Poisonous Salamanders were soon surrounded by a few squads of the wolves.
Big Wolf, Second Wolf, and Third Wolf sat behind Apas. Second Wolf, who was the most impatient among them all, could not wait any longer, seeing how the others were having an enjoyable time killing the enemy.
Why aren't we killing the enemy yet!?
"Stay here! If you keep running around like you did before, even if you eliminated the Carnage Poisonous Salamanders, half of the White-Marked Wolves were going to die too!" Apas glared at the three idiots.
Third Wolf howled, as if he was about to talk back. The observant Big Wolf immediately slapped Third Wolf on the head. Third Wolf lowered his head helplessly, since he did not dare to disobey his big brother. His howl weakened slightly, too! 
"See that one that is spitting out poison far away?" Apas turned to the three Moon-Devouring White Wolves who were sitting upright on the ground.

Not just the 1st and 2nd class zombies, but also the ten 3rd class zombies started to retreat as the wolves came.

Seeing how the 3rd class zombies were afraid of this wolf pack, this was a problem. The silver wolf was at least a 3rd level savage beast, of which even the black panther was almost impossible to kill. Not only was there the silver wolf, but also his pack of unknown level right behind him, Lin Feng felt abused*****. He didn't expect that as soon as the zombies retreated that he would have to deal with a pack of wolves. This truly was being plagued with misfortunes. ******

The wolf swung its tail as it walked in front of Lin Feng. It started to rub its head on his pant legs.

Squatting down, Lin Feng started to pet the wolf, and it licked his hand in return.

"Aaooh!"

The big silver wolf called the little silver wolf back, and Lin Feng noticed that they looked similar. He couldn't tell before as the little wolf was too small and adorable and had droopy ears.

The small wolf ran up to the big wolf and received a lick on the nose. Lin Feng saw the small wolf start to wag its tail once more and watched it run back to him. Lin Feng looked back and saw the big silver wolf had turned around and started to lead the wolves away.

In the center of the wolves laid a huge wolf with numerous female wolves laying besides it, its size were 1.5 times bigger than the wolves inside the cave abd unlike the others  he had an additional red patches on his paws and his tail was also red


Shadowslash was using his [Clairvoyance] to scan all the wolves and their king he found out that the Fireback Wolves are mostly Low Level Gold Rank but when he scanned their king he found that it is a bona fide king a title above Alpha

Shadowslash was running towards the cavern being followed by his group when he suddenly felt an incoming wind and before he turned his head he saw that he Shadow Wolf King was actually dashing towards the cavern and behind him was his subordinates


Their speed was pretty fast leaving Shadowslash's group behind


Even though Shadowslash could catch up to them he did not do it


He was using this opportunity to Rank Up his subordinates so he would definitely had to lead them


All of the monsters he brought with him except for Clwyd, Karl and 3 None Ranked and one Silver Rank Shooter are all Bronze Rank Level 10 so they would surely be killed if they fought in the upcoming battle in disorganized manner


Since there are 43 of them he then had the members of the Tank Division stand in front of the shooters while the rest would take on any Fireback Wolf they found by 10 to 1 so their safety should be at least guaranteed with the Fredrick and his clones supporting them


When they finally arrived in front if the cavern they did not see the Shadow Wolves


Everyone except for Shadowslash could not see the Shadow Wolves


The Shadow Wolves were now slowly creeping into the cave they were being led by their king


Seeing this Shadowslash had everyone slowly proceed towards the cavern he then commanded "Fredrick support the members during the fight disrupt any Fireback Wolves that are too difficult to handle while everyone must stick together and must cooperate with each other"

Hearing his bark all of the Fireback Wolves started releasing Fireballs towards the incoming monster forcing it to stop


The shadow was Shadowslash since they were already found out then frontal combat can no longer avoided


Seeing this the Shadow Wolf King then also issued his orders and countless Shadow Wolves release some kind of attack that was just like Energy Ball but made up of dark element


*Boom* *boom* *boom* countless explosion occured when the two forces attacks met


Seeing this Shadowslash message Clwyd to have the others advance and the two of them to hurry


After that he then started to carefully approached the Blazing Savage Wolf King


The fight was now on full throttle countless wolves started tearing each other apart causing the ground in the cave to be watered by blood


Suddenly the Blazing Savage Wolf King pounced towards where the Shadow Wolf King is


Seeing this Shadowslash cursed and also dash towards the Shadow Wolf King


The Shadow Wolf King was busy fighting when it suddenly felt a threat of death it instinctively rolled away

The surrounding wolves were thrown away and some of the wolves even perished

"He has strange things ..." Another wolf spoke as he carried a black briefcase into his mouth.

"What strange things?" Asked the curious gray wolf.

The wolf carrying the briefcase approached the gray wolf and placed the black bag on the floor in front of the gray wolf.

"Several different types of hair, eye pieces of different colors, another three sets of those strange clothes, a fighting knife, two pieces of 'L' shaped iron, and several other smaller pieces of iron." The wolf listed after opening the briefcase in front of the gray wolf.

"Hair? Eyes? I understand the part of the clothes and the knife, but ... Iron? What would he do with these things?" Asked the gray wolf.

"Do not touch it ..."

Suddenly, a weak voice caught the attention of all the wolves in the cave.

It turns out the young man was not unconscious!

This shocked all the wolves, including the gray wolf, who was actually the most surprised, since he had the best notion of the situation of the young human.

"What's your name?" The gray wolf asked the young man in the common human language.

"Liu ... Feng." The young man replied slowly, in a voice that sounded gentle, contradicting his resolute and fearless expression.

"Young Liu Feng ..." whispered the gray wolf.

The other wolves were confused about what they were talking about, since they did not understand the human language.

"Save this." The gray wolf spoke as he pushed the briefcase to the wolf he had brought the suitcase.

"Save ... save?" The wolf asked confused.

"Yes, save. And someone carry the young Liu Feng to some place where he can rest." The gray wolf spoke indifferently.

"Young ... Liu Feng?" Whispered the wolf.

As the gray wolf gave his orders, Liu Feng was looking confused, since he did not understand what was being said.

When he saw all the wolves staring at him with a strange expression, he forced himself to stand up, ready to fight.

Seeing this the gray wolf only sighed and lifted his paw.

The gray wolf slowly lowered its paw and Liu Feng felt a formless pressure crushing him.

Liu Feng was already in a weakened state, but even in his best state he would not be able to withstand this pressure.

His knees gave in. Instantly he fell unconscious.

"Do not cause more trouble than you should." The gray wolf lay back lazily and closed his eyes.

Liu Feng is weak, extremely weak.

Liu Feng although weak, has a stamina higher than normal humans.

But, can stamina overcome strength in the cultivating world?

The clearing was large, and scattered around it were giant rocks that formed small hills.

This place reminded me of a hidden garden that you'd find in fairy tales, it was tranquil and calming to be here, and its naturally beautiful landscape was breathtaking.

But that was the least of my concern as all around the clearing was the wolf pack.

The Wolves were scattered in small groups, some were dragging animal bodies back into the clearing from the other side, this must have been a hunting party gathering food.

There were wolf pups everywhere, running around and chasing each other, with there mothers looking over them from the large rock hills.

And at the center of the clearing, was what I assumed to be the alpha male Wolf.

He was large and covered in thick grey fluffy hide, his eyes were yellow and held a large sense of intelligence in them, an he was covered in scars, probably from all the fights it must of took to become the alpha.

Ok got to strategies.

What do I know about Wolfs?

 Wolves can sprint from 36-38 miles for short distances.

In the wild, wolves can live up to 13 years and up to 16 years in captivity

The main threat to wolf survival is habitat loss due to destruction, development, and encroachment of humans. 

They are also threatened due to persecution by humans.

Wolf pups are born in the Spring and they live with their mother in the den until they are about 3 weeks old.

All wolves in a pack help raise and take care of the pups.

Wolf weights vary. They can weigh from 40 to 175 pounds.

Wolves howl to communicate. if alone, a wolf may howl to attract the attention of his pack.

Packs howl together to send territorial messages from one pack to another.

Wolves are the largest members of the dog family.

Wolves can roam large and long distances, sometimes up to 12 miles (20 kilometers) in a single day.

Wolves prefer to eat large animals like deer, elk, and moose. One wolf can eat 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of meat at a single sitting.

Adult wolves have 42 teeth

Wolf gestation period is 63 days

Wolves live in family groups called packs made up of a male parent, a female parent and usually some of their pups over the previous years.

Wolf packs work together to hunt for food.

The loss of one wolf from a pack can damage the cohesion of the group and cause packs to break up.

Pack sizes range from three to twenty wolves.

A wolf pack has a set social structure and rules.

The pack leaders are the alpha male and female.

These two are dominant over the other wolves in the pack.

The alphas are the only wolves that breed and produce pups in the pack, and they also get to eat first.

Social structures of a pack can change.

A wolf lower down in the pack hierarchy may challenge an alpha wolf for pack leadership. If the alpha wolf loses this challenge, it will sometimes leave the pack to become a lone wolf, find another mate, and start a new pack.

Very low ranking wolves are often "picked on" by the other wolves and may also leave the pack.
Individual wolves in a pack play different roles in relation to the other wolves in the group.

Wolves will defend their territory from other wolf packs or other predators they might find a threat

All this was from a Social Structure study I did in college, and if all this applies to these wolves then that's good.

But it also means that most of this information will be useless to me because it's not about there Biology.

And because I hand bothered to look at there biology when studying them for the Presentation, I don't really have any choice other to wing it...

A leveling system that makes him a shadow monarch that also has a fried fish addition from his past life.

What could possibly go wrong when this type of person is dropped into an anime world.

Jean was left at a loss for words after noticing the improvement in terms of stats a single fusion would give. Although he was expecting a slight improvement like an increase of 1 point in the Defense stat, he was not expecting the addition of another stat being boosted like Endurance. Thanks to this occurrence though, he now had the urge to make sure that all of the equipment he was currently wearing had fused with at least a single piece of Wolf Fur.
"Then again, how many wolves would I have to kill just to get a piece of Wolf Fur?" Jean could not help but think about how many wolves he would have to kill just to obtain enough Wolf Fur in order for him to enhance all of the equipment he currently had equipped. He didn't know how often the Wolf Fur would drop. Was it one piece every 100 wolves? One piece every 1000 wolves? He had a feeling that he would be killing a lot of wolves for quite a long time.
"Nevertheless, once I put my mind into it, I'm gonna do it!"
After that, he jumped down from the branch he was resting on, entering the boundary filled with wolves one more time. This time though, due to the knowledge he had of how many wolves he had to kill to obtain a piece of Wolf Fur, even though it was quite vague, it removed some sort of limiter on Jean's mind, making him fight against 3 wolves at once.
Fortunately, thanks to his movement speed, as well as his attack speed increasing after reaching Level 5, the difficulty of fighting against a single wolf had lowered to a level near the difficulty of killing a rabbit. In other words, this meant that Jean was able to handle 2 wolves at once without a problem, while 3 wolves was pretty much his limit.
And that was exactly what he was doing, pushing himself to the limit. By pushing himself to the limit, he would be able to handle situations like these with a better chance of victory in the future. Either way, even if he failed to fight against 3 wolves at once without getting injured, he could still run away quickly with his fast movement speed.
Whoosh!
In front of him were three wolves baring their fangs at him for intruding in their territory. Rather than take the initiative like usual, he was currently testing the waters as he was used to fighting against a single enemy instead of multiple ones at once. It was only when he knew that there was a large gap in strength between the two of them did he have the confidence to fight against multiple ones at once.
"Grrr…" One of the wolves made the first move, pouncing towards Jean from the front, wanting to bite off his head as fast as possible. Unfortunately for the wolf, Jean already knew what to do when faced with a situation like this. Modifying his previous plans of fighting when faced with a wolf that moved like this, he waited for the wolf to get closer to his head before taking a few steps back to narrowly dodge the wolf's head. Then, using the blunt edge of the sharpened bone he was using as a weapon, he put in all of his force towards the blunt edge of the bone to whack it on the wolf's head, giving the wolf a concussion.
Thud!
Thanks to what Jean did, the wolf's momentum fell in an instant, falling to the ground with its vision moving to and fro, allowing Jean to go ahead and pierce his sharpened bone on certain spots of the wolf's spine as usual. Of course, since he was fighting against three wolves at once, he wasn't allowed to do so. Just as he was about to plunge his sharpened bone for the first time on the concussed wolf, the two wolves that had not made a move yet, made their moves as they went into a pincer formation, attacking Jean from both his left and right side.
Looking at the agape maws of the two wolves, he could not help but slightly chuckle inwardly as he moved with ease at the very last instant he could escape. As for the two wolves, since their bodies were still mostly in midair, they could not stop their momentum, colliding with one another as the colliding force between the two forced both of their maws to close shut, inflicting damage on each other rather than on Jean.
Not letting the chance slip, while the two wolves were still biting against one another, he took the initiative to hit the two wolves on the head with the blunt edge of his weapon as well, giving the two of them a concussion. Just as he made his way towards one of the two wolves to plunge his sharpened bone towards the one of the wolves' backs, the first wolf that attacked had recovered from its concussion, prompting Jean to go and hit the first wolf on the head one more time.
After that…well…just like how Jean fought against a single wolf, he did the same thing…but just had to do it two more times.
Nevertheless, since the proximity between the wolves had become closer, the speed at which he had been killing had increased substantially, allowing him to kill around 90 wolves in an hour instead of the usual 50 to 60 wolves an hour. This in turn allowed him to obtain equipment at a faster rate, as well as obtain the Wolf Fur he yearned for at a faster rate as well. This wolf killing had lasted for a total of 5 hours, bringing the total amount of wolves he had killed to over 500 wolves.
Normally, at Jean's current level, a user can kill 500 wolves in the span of about a few days or so since the user did not have the advantage of dodging very easily and attacking very quickly unlike Jean. Of course, there are some that can kill 500 wolves in under a day, even if they were not in the Assassin class, relying on their wit, their advantages, as well as the environment surrounding them. But of course, all common sense would need to be removed when looking at Jean's killing speed, killing about 100 wolves an hour. It's definitely a value that would shock any user who did not know Jean's past before entering the World Net.
In fact, thanks to this spree, his moniker among the users that frequented the Azure Forest had upgraded once again, changing from 'Wolf-killing Demon' to 'Wolf Slaughtering Monarch'. The reason why they chose the word 'Monarch' instead of continuing with 'Demon' is that they could not help but think from their point of view that the wolves Jean fought against try to aim for his weapon rather than his body, allowing him to kill a lot of wolves in a short span of time.
Of course, with a lot of wolves killed meant that he had obtained a lot of equipment from them as well. Surprisingly, Jean's idea was correct, obtaining 2 new pieces of equipment from the wolves, bringing the total to 5 pieces of equipment, the same amount of equipment obtainable from a rabbit. He opened up his inventory and looked at the description of the 2 new pieces of equipment he had received, with his eyes slightly widening at the latter.

Jean had no hesitation when equipping the former, a necklace with a small wolf fang in the middle appearing around the neck. As for the latter though, after reading that he was able to use the piece of equipment as an item to improve other pieces of equipment, he could not help but ponder as to whether he would use the newly obtained wolf fang or the sharpened bone he was used to for quite some time now.
Fortunately, it did not take long for the idea of fusing a wolf fang to another wolf fang to click in his mind as he looked at the few copies he had of the wolf fang, prompting him to equip the wolf fang without hesitation. Other than increasing his Attack stat by one more point when compared to the sharpened bone, the shape of the wolf fang had been modified for it to be comfortably gripped by a hand while the pointy tip of the fang had been sharpened even further than before. Nevertheless, he still could not fathom how such a large fang could come from the wolves he had just killed.
"Fuse Sharpened Wolf Fang with Sharpened Wolf Fang," Jean softly muttered as the wolf fang he was holding just now disappeared from his hands, appearing quite a distance away just like what happened with his chestplate. Unlike before though, rather than the two items that were being fused glowing a faint light, the two wolf fangs collided with one another instead, breaking off parts from one another as an aura of greater power could be sensed coming from them. Eventually, due to the numerous amount of times the two wolf fangs had collided with one another, at one collision, the two wolf fangs had melded into one wolf fang that glistened a faint silver light, giving anyone the feeling of intense sharpness when one looked at it.
Whoosh!
Just like before this better wolf fang appeared in his inventory as a holographic screen appeared in front of his field of vision soon after.
'Fusion successful! The equipment [Silver Fang Dagger] has been created.'
Closing the holographic screen at the very instant it popped up, Jean then identified the piece of equipment before equipping it. As the holographic screen containing the equipment's information appeared in front of his field of vision, he hastily skimmed it before becoming satisfied with the improvements given by the fusion.

Just as he was about to move onto his other equipment, a greedy thought instantly entered his mind, wondering if he could fuse another wolf fang to his improved wolf fang. He then commanded the system with a bit of expectation, only to receive a reply through a holographic screen.
'Starter grade equipment can only undergo item fusion once. The user must obtain higher grade equipment in order for multiple fusions to be possible.'
"Guess I got too greedy," Jean muttered to himself as he engraved the tidbit of information to the back of his mind, moving on towards the other pieces of armor and accessories he currently had equipped.
Of course, since he had killed over 500 wolves, it was a given that he would be obtain a couple of pieces of Wolf Fur, but what surprised him was obtaining the knowledge that if he killed 70 wolves, he would certainly obtain a piece of Wolf Fur. In other words, obtaining a piece of Wolf Fur back then was not due to his luck, but rather it was actually guaranteed. 
He looked at the list of equipment he was wearing and muttered to himself, "Thanks to the amount of wolves I've killed, I've obtained 7 pieces of Wolf Fur I can use to enhance my equipment. Unfortunately, it's getting close to dinner time so I have to leave the World Net pretty soon. If I had a bit more time, I would've been able to enhance the two new rings I've obtained as well."
"Then again, there's always another day to grind. After dinner, I could continue grinding, or continue grinding when I wake up tomorrow. Tomorrow's Sunday anyway, which is still a weekend," Jean continued to talk to himself, before commanding the system to fuse up all of the equipment he hadn't enhanced yet with the pieces of Wolf Fur he had.

'Fusion successful! The equipment [Padded Rabbit Kneecaps] has been created.'

After being bombarded to the brim with holographic screen after holographic screen, he equipped all of the enhanced pieces of equipment he had obtained before deciding to identify one by one. Unfortunately, before he could actually do so, a sudden thought appeared in his mind, prompting to make a run towards outside the Azure Forest at full speed.
"Ah! I haven't allocated my status points yet!"

Jean Darke was born at the Age of Unity, an era where anything and everything could be obtained through the World Net. Money, power, and even authority, it was all possible through the World Net. With that in mind, by the time he turned 17 years old, it was a given that he accepted his father’s offer to become a User, in other words, a citizen of the World Net. Since he was brought up with the idea that the World Net would allow their family to live better lives, he would do his best to try and make that happen.

Unfortunately for him, it was only after he entered the World Net did he realize that his dreams seemed to be near impossible to achieve, due to the World Net actually being a world filled to the brim with corruption. It was then and there that his great dreams dissipated in a matter of moments, changing his great dreams to a dream where he wanted his family’s burden to be alleviated just by a bit.

Thankfully, the world was not all that bad, allowing Jean to obtain an item within the World Net that could possibly change the whole landscape of the World Net itself. It was also thanks to this item that his great dreams were rekindled and soared to a height that went even further, a dream where he wished to establish a place in the World Net free from corruption.

And so, let us witness his journey in becoming a great entity in the landscape of the World Net, as well as his establishment of the Den of Freedom.
