I almost didn't try this. People are just whining. The mtl translation is fine. This is LEAGUES better than any Chinese mtl I've seen. Like sure, common Spanish translation issues exist. Gender gets swapped. We gets said instead of I. But it's not all the time. And you figure that out and they become a nothing burger. I'll say it again. LEAGUES BETTER. There's no hard persimmon who is a dog-faced stealing the seventh ghost orchid- Blah blah blah. (Don't get me wrong, an editor could fix the mentioned mistakes. But don't worry about it. It's fine to read.)

Heavy spoilers. I'm not a fan of it having dual main characters. The synopsis made it seem like there would be one. The story does not handle the two main characters well. Gwen gets the plot. But Peter is always doing small stuff like visiting places until he is made aware of Gwen's plotlines and is pulled into them to help her. It doesn't feel like an equal dual MC story when the plot is never centering around him. I also didn't like that he didn't get the spider bite despite "Linan must ensure he's bitten by the mutated spider before the embryo fully develops." just so she could get her powers. The synopsis told me what to expect going into this story and it didn't give it. It did a last-minute switcharoo so he could get nerfed spider powers from some rando spider-themed mutant villain that was bottom tear. It and the xenomorph stuff adds up to someone clearly not as strong as someone with a spider bite in his battles. Requiring spider-girl to back him up in encounters so he can make it through. A Xenomorph-Spider hybrid is supposed to be so much cooler, you know? My final complaint would be the mc lacks drive and initiative. He did one thing. Find a doctor. Outside of that he waits for the school trip where he doesn't get the spider and is pulled into Gwen's stuff. He doesn't do much on his own initiative. He doesn't feel like a real person. More... the bland plot device. (5 star, 5 star, 1 star, 1 star, 3 star. Translation is great. I have no complaints for Firesight besides maybe asking that he makes a better synopsis.)
