when discussing the nuances of words you cannot add to them. empathic means to understand and share others feelings. what it doesn't mean is to not offend them. You might believe understanding feelings and not offending someone is one and the same and its not .furthermore, freedom of speech is not based on hypocrisy. it's the freedom. to express one's opinion. if your opinion offends someone then that is that. But expressing oneself doesn't always lead to someone feelings getting hurt. your creating a logical fallacy(hasty generalization). that being because I express this then I'm offending this other person.
