If I have to give you an example consider Thor from Avengers. Fictional character it may be but the rules of law apply to him as well. As you already know Thor doesn't have magic. But he can still control thunder and that too to an absurd degree. So much so that people started to call him the god of thunder.

Flying is indeed only first year. The core classes through 5th year: Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, DADA, Astronomy, Herbology. Classes available in 3rd are Divination, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, and Care of Magical Creatures. The 7th year has the opportunity for Alchemy, taught by Proffessor Stumbles himself, but only if there's sufficient demand. Hogwarts doesn't teach enchanting like Beaubaxtons or Dark Arts like Drumstrang. Ilvermorny has a Rituals course.
Flying is a mandatory subject in Hogwarts for every little Witch and Wizard. After all in the wizarding world, besides teleportation, Brooms are the only way to go from point A to point B. Aka the only kind of transport.

Honestly, she has always been underpowered. Using Danvers as an example, Rogue gained those powers permanently. She should have even more than just that, considering she's absorbed power's from others as often as she did.
Anna Marie is a mutant, possessing one of the most dangerous and tormenting abilities. Her power is called Absorption. Upon physical contact with someone, she absorbs physical strength, vitality, and even mutant powers (temporarily). While this might not seem inherently bad, the catch is that if she touches someone long enough, that person dies.
