I should start by saying I like this novel inspite of its many glaring flaws. Most of the s*x scenes are well done, and the novel started very strong and honestly stayed that way up until after the wedding arc and only really started falling apart around chapter 900 with this cooking quest/arc, but I will speak more of that later. Many, if not all, of the problems that I have with the series stems from the Author forgetting things that happened earlyier in the book, or getting over ambitious and including too much and straying away from the core of the story. Infact I feel like that is the biggest complaint I have. Why is it that in Vampire's Slice of Life, we have to have some annoying conspiracy happening in the world, timeskips that seem to be unreasonably long for no reason (trippling the MC's age) and have the MC persue cultivation like no tomorrow? To add onto that, the MC is a reincarnator (which is fine) but their is also a regressor who has a system, a bunch of other worlds/cultivation types, gods, and Chosen Ones too. Oh and the MC just gets a system too and never even touches it or uses it. The majority of the time this novel feels like a weird mash of cultivation plus chaos, and all of the best chapters are the ones that actually feel like Slice of Life. I think my favorite arc was the Elven arc because of this. I even like the training arcs (when they arent just timeskipped because why would we include that slice of life content) and this includes the breif bit where Lith was in the Chi world. I feel like the Author needs to sit down and actually reread through the story so far.

The only reason this book is getting a 4.8 is because the author didnt let people know that he was going to be gone for a month (Dec 2023). Everything else has been great. One of the best series I've ever read and it has made me want to write again.

To be completely honest, i went into this book expecting something good, but really isnt. the MC doesn't practise, doesnt really train and acts more like a 2bit villain than anything. Oh, this guy annoyed me? let me ambush and kill him after school. oh, that guy has something rare that could help me, and hasnt done anything to antagonize me aside from ignore my 'obvious' greatness? let me find a way to poison him and take it. Im over 100 chapters in and the MC has spent a total of like 6hrs actually trying to cultivate and the rest plotting to kill/steal his 'enemies' or make money.
