Yeah, I didn't watch daredevil, but I looked up the timeline to match it up with the story. I saw that Fisk was arrested and sent to Ryker's island so I assumed that him being a criminal was known. I guess just ignore the plot hole.
Finally, after walking for another few minutes he got to the docks of Hudson Bay. He noticed that there were a lot of ships unloading their cargo this late at night for some reason. Well, there had been reports that the docks were where King Pin imported a majority of his drugs and other smuggled goods to then sell in the city.
