Military training in China is almost the same as not having any training at all. It's just a bunch of civilians who's been given military uniforms and then forced to study nonsense to become more loyal to CCP, and even the "training" that they have there is so inaccurate (compared to what battle is like in reality) they might as well have gone to a summercamp for athletes. as for how effective they are in battle... just take a look at the result of the mission they did for UN. China's military force is known to be one of the most ineffective military forces in the world. Even calling them soldiers is a stretch. They can't even compare to the average Japanese civillian back when the US had a war with them. The fundamental problem that makes them useless as soldiers is that they are taught loyalty instead of dicipline. Which is why they run away from battle instead of actually fighting back. Then again I suppose that won't be a problem anymore since their helmets have explosives in them now.

The "Lord of Mysteries" tv series will be released in 2025. Just thought I should mention it because you seem to like the series a lot.

If "animal Instinct" was like a sixth sense then there wouldn't be so many animals that were taken off guard and killed instantly by a gun.

First of all, I have no idea what you are talking about (I mean, it's been 3 years). Secondly, you shouldn't hurt other people's feelings. Thirdly, if you by some miracle end up marrying a woman, then I will make sure that you end up wearing a green hat for the rest of your miserable life, while unknowingly raise my children.

I truly hope the author has escaped China, otherwise his life is as good as over at this point.

This isn't plot armor. Plot armor is in the case of an impossible or incredibly unlikely event happens usually in a way that would be beneficial to the protagonist. However this scenario can't be attributed to luck, as it was clearly the direct result of something the protagonist had done in the past which was not unique to him alone. Other people have also reincarnated into the past, otherwise there wouldn't be any legends about it. There is also the fact that the protagonist actually had a chance to fight back, but was interrupted by the cicada and not actually saved by it in a hopeless situation.

I would be surprised if anyone reading this novel didn't pick up on that one.

Yeah, the author is the one who decides the results anyway. So even if the mc makes a stupid decision he will end up with a big win even if he realistically and scientifically should have suffered a loss or even died.
