Neils_117: I love to read Renegade Immortal; it just really feels like a true cultivation story. I think that's because this is one of the very few in Chinese fantasy that has a character that has developed into a weathered and introspective old monster over the progression of the story. The brutality of the world is well described, with corpse sects running amok and old ancient legacies of gods, demons, and devils present. It all sets up for good fantasy. Throw in where cultivation inspired introspection is written down and not simply referred to as "closed-door training." This is a great read!
