I think you are misremembering. Abby had a full set of Black Grade techniques that she eventually changed all of them to silver. As it has, multiple times, been explained that changing techniques is mildly detrimental the more you do it, it was explained that Abby learned a Golden Defensive Technique upon changing stages. This is also when the author made tiny reference in a paragraph or two to the fact that most of Minos combat related techniques require a "clean slate" at stage change to be learned and that he only has few techniques at the Golden Stage that can be changed to, most of which aren't combat related.
She only had one Golden-grade combat technique. As such, rather than putting herself at risk by attacking opponents, this woman of Minos usually focused on protecting allies, helping to weaken opponents who attacked them.

or write it into the story. Stop using the authors notes to explain what you should be explaining in the narrative. Never use foot notes or asides to explain core information. I'm seriously questioning your understanding of creative writing. Maybe take some classes to better understand why some of your decisions are completely wrong. No editor would ever accept this.

nah. more like "most male authors can't write believable female characters because they've never spoken with one". Seriously, in what manner did the Haory/Hoary ever indicate she thought Max was a bad guy in their previous fight? This feels utterly shoehorned in for absolutely no believable reason.
If Max could hear her thoughts now, he would be speechless and only one thought would come to his mind 'Women are strange creatures. That can't be understood by men'.

As cheesy as it might sound, Izayoi genuinely believed that true love was something that could only be experienced between two people. Vahn reaching the peak just means he has no more challenges for himself. the universe he creates from that foundation can have all the challenges his family wants it to have. I'd guess that he will ultimately exist as an overseer while interacting with his realm through the template avatars, simultaneously being all powerful while also being as weak as he needs to be to go on whatever adventures his loved ones want. Mordred wants to conquer a universe, Vahn goes with her in a tier 6 template. Astoria wants to rebuild the true Avalon, tier 5 template Vahn goes with her. Meanwhile The ultimate core of Vahn (like the platform) ultimately sits outside of it all, experiencing it all through his Actualization Innate.
(A/N: This isn't the actual fight, only the prelude to battle. For those who are annoyed by Ureko's behavior, please consider her age, character, and what a union with Vahn is supposed to represent. She is looking for a life partner, someone she could fight alongside and compete with. Unless he proactively altered their Templates in some way, it was virtually guaranteed that people like Natsu, Lucy, and even Lissanna would end up together. Grey and Luvia would almost certainly end up as a couple, and, though he had never really liked Jellal's character, the only other person Vahn could imagine Erza falling for is himself. This was the crux of the issue as it was very easy for him to imagine any attractive, interesting, or powerful female character falling for him.
