she is strong, just because she has weak moments doesn't mean she's weak, that just proves she's human. she got over her issues with being in the kitchen really quickly (the spot where she remembered the first torture Rolf put her through on her knees) and that is no easy thing to do. also when Logan tried to give her an out she refused to leave her home, that's real strength right there.

it isn't supposed to mean possession tho, it's supposed to be you are their love, and they are your love. it's how wolf mates work in most werewolf books. it's more of a connection than human soulmates. wolves aren't supposed to break it off with their mate. in their world mates are forever once bonded, and it doesn't help that they start with a deeper connection already and the mindlink is different too. if you know the connection to another person where you actually feel seen (mentally, emotionally, sexually, etc) for the first time in your life, multiply that by a million and that is how I understand the mate bond; it's sacred

His words made my body react in a really interesting way. My heart swelled with happiness, but my belly twisted with anxiety. Did he really want me? Why? What changed? Could I trust him? I really wanted to trust him. But I was afraid. What if I got hurt again? He was probably only doing this out of fear. When I would get out of this hospital, he was going to realize that I was still that small, weak she-wolf he rejected not long ago. He still wouldn’t want me to be his mate and Luna. He was still going to replace me.
