She had a lot of trouble with centipedes when she was in her first stage, before finding her nest. I think they were one of the first monsters she dealt with before she even got mana, and they used to gang up on her. She also has that whole thing about how because ants are perfect, they have the perfect number of limbs, so any creature with more legs is bad. And centipedes have a LOT more legs than ants.
