Armor is not something that have health like in the games, it doesn't matter one archer or many it will not pierce plate armor. Lucky Arrows can land in joints between pieces of armor yes. But, it is lucky shot not piercing the armor itself. You have to remember that knight is not just standing there waiting there like some manikin he is constantly moving and using shield. Places where such arrows could hit are actually small and very hard to hit. Why Bows were effective and used? It's because kings and lords were using largely peasants in the armies who had very poor equipment and was wanerable to arrows. But they were effective in formation against cavalry, because of spears and large numbers. Good Plate Armor cost like sport car at the time and there were a reason that people were willing to pay such money, because it was extremely effective.

While I agree with logical part of MC thoughts. They are somewhat short sighted, because he himself plans to use blood magic, think about it for a second. Magic. He knows canon, so he knows that at least one pseudo deity exists, R'hllor. So, this seems naive traditions that he may take advantage off may exist for a reason beyond mortal man tradition. Not necessary but, you as Author portrait MC as smart and very careful person. Considering his knowledge it somewhat out of character for him to not think of this possibility. As pragmatic person he may dessimis this, but to show reader that he is smart person, he should have consider it.

That highly depends on what opponents are, if opponents are somewhat decent armor bow is completely and utterly useless. Yes against light armored foes it would be easier to kill them with the bow for sure. Bot no the ones that dicently armored. Then about numerous opponents if they are trained to fight knights, then yes your statement would be true they will easily overwhelm lonely knight. But if they don't know how to fight fully armed and trained knight, I would not be so sure that knight would be defeated. Just to get what I mean please watch "The Knight of Hope". Somewhat realistic fight of "knight" against "bandits". There is shown that armor is not just for show and it not tissue paper.

Well I think this is a mistake. Because creating stuff is not only thing that genius intelligence is, i the way character thinks, the way he views the world, ect. Writing proper high intelligence character is Very hard. And put high expectations on character, and when in 99% cases he fails because he continue think like average person. Only leads to disappointment of readers and quienety of story over all. It's one thing to write about average guy who got super strength, but he still think like an normal person, but writing character of Genius intelligence when he still thinking like avarage guy....
