lol would be funny if its found out that ves is related to the royal family
"Whatever the Larkinson Ancestor has done in the New Rubarth Empire is ultimately irrelevant." Ves summed up his own feelings. "The Larkinsons have already moved on from the past. My clan has managed to build itself up by relying on their own efforts. Whatever illusionary ties to the New Rubarth Empire that we may have has played no role at all. I am fine with letting the history of the Larkinson Ancestor fade into obscurity."

ves is like the roots of a willow tree if there is a chance of water it uses all its capacity to get to it
"You are correct about this. I wouldn't have been as enthused about this plan if not for two reasons. First, I think that a lot of mech designers have amassed a lot of power without being able to wield it responsibly. I felt the need to rein them in before they misused their authority at my expense. Second, there are other factors that strongly lean on the other side. The status of warlord is not limited to mech pilots. People like myself can earn this status as long as I put my skin in the game. What matters is that this plan offers the most agency to me and anyone who seeks to gain more power and control. That largely aligns with the rules of Frontier Wisdom. If I have to choose between leaving my fate to others or taking matters in my own hands, I will always favor the latter!"
Sci-fi · Exlor
agreed
"They are decently high." Samuel responded. "I do have to mention that we won't be dealing with the Red Fleet as a whole. The organization is either neutral or mildly supportive of the Fist of Defiance's plans, but not every fleet admiral supports this consensus. The Fifth Enforcement Fleet has always been tasked with enforcing the Big Two's taboos and guarding against human renegades who have a history of abusing metaphysics for their own gain. Fleet Admiral Amelie Jameson is the unofficial head of this growing opposition movement."

so he did end up as tie breaker but as a tie preventer
It took a while for Ves to count the total number of people with voting rights. 273 mechers and associates were about to determine the course of red humanity as a whole.
Sci-fi · Exlor
bet. it becomes a 3 way tie so they are forced to upgrade his citizenship so he can be the tie breaker.
"Well, it is not as if it matters whether I support one or the other. By the end of the seventh day, everyone who has attended this conference is pretty much obliged to support the winning plan."

where did you find this?
Leo glanced down and stared at her chest. Then, he grinned and snorted, "Grow some milker first, and we'll talk."

Neither Ves nor anyone else in the secure testing hall were aware that additional people had chosen to observe this potential turning point in human history.

becomes leader of 4th faction "all of the above"
Ves not only gained a greater understanding of what each faction leader stood for, but also managed to make a strong impression in front of the three Master Mech Designers.

Why is "Legends" by Self Deception playing in the background? (lol the band name is very fitting for Ves😂)
Whenever he could no longer count on quantity and excellent preparation to roll over his adversaries, he always became stimulated to develop a fantastic new solution that enabled the few forces left under his command to exert greater power!

Yenames shrugged. "As you have already said, winning the war comes first. I do not mind it if I have to make more concessions as long as the lion fights on our behalf."

Legends by Self Deception begins playing
"That is true, but do not overlook the other piece of the puzzle. The human who pilots my living mech is meant to grow alongside the Ultimatum. Together, they can produce better results, find greater purpose in life and become the heroes they always dreamt of. What makes the Ultimatum different from any other mech is that it can inspire others to step up and become the next great hero of our civilization. It has a high skill ceiling and can tolerate a lot of pressure. As long as the pilot has the will, there will always be a way to turn a difficult situation around. Ultimately, I am hopeful that my latest contribution to the mech community may foster a new cohort of heroes who will shoulder the burdens of red humanity in the future."
