Bail's edge, from bail, old style of bath shaped like a barrel
Instead of jerking her hand, however… she jerked up her entire body, pushing the two of us away from the bail's edge.

mother's slipper, the ultimate weapon of asian moms. indoor, open footwear
It was but a single episode of my childhood… yet one that, through the slipper of my mother, ended up deeply ingrained into my mentality, now appearing as an indeliberate choice of words and comparisons during a cultivation lesson.

He has an account, just like you have your own when you watch random stuff on yt.
Good point, will fix once I'm done with writing for the day, thanks!
It was a strange feeling, to be aware I wasn't lucid and yet… loose the track of certain parts of reality.

As someone who soldered for quite a bit, it is not. Or rather, I wish I had as much of an innate talent (or better tools) as you, because it would save me quite the judging stares my father gave me when he saw what I ended up "making" >.>
In my first attempt, I ended up heating the soldering agent on the pin of the soldiering gun for too long, rendering it too dry to make it usable.

And way above the scope of my own understanding of it :D To be honest, whenever I'm testing some idea before writing it, I just call my dad and ask for his take on it, same reason why I didn't write about them combining different usb cables to increase the input (because I wasn't sure it would work that way and I don't like to write BS)
This certainly is a way... But so you could say about the Gus drug lab in Breaking Bad. The idea of the problem here isn't about using it sneakily. Just by the effect of scale (which I'm only touching softly because I'm not gonna fall down the hole of using specific numbers, especially when I only have a loose grip over the technicalities of electricity), if the charge you can get from USB is already meaningful (2.5w), then imagine using as much as you would for a gaming PC (up to 1kw). Just by looking at my recent bills, between my chunky PC, AC and all the other stuff, I've used like 300kwh in a month. That's 300 hours of using 1kw AT ALL TIMES! Now, I can only imagine how much a fully fledged mansion would consume. Now, imagine hiding it within one of the factories Chihiro owns (he's not rich just by the benefit of being high-level cultivator) It's not about hiding something because that can easily be done. It's about preparing for the day when, inevetably, someone simply stumbles upon it either intentionally (while investigating the clan) or by a total, random accident. Otherwise, good point :D
Oh, and thanks a lot for the review, it was the bucket of cold water that made me realize this issue was even more pressing than what I already thought!
Welp, this deserves a bit deeper answer so here we go: Is there a bit too much romance in this novel? Yes, there is. And there are several reasons behind it, ranging from plot-warranted, going through practical and at extremely simple ones ending. Plot-reasons: There are some things that I simply hate in novels. And it's slow-burn romance. We've read it/watched it a thousand times and them some more. No one needs another story where two characters that like each other/are destined to be with each other/etc, to come to this realization over a span of a thousand chapters. I, on the other hand, much prefer to make it burn quickly and then give warmth and light throughout the story. In this sense, this novel only has a bit of a romance early on, where it later turns into more of a partnership. Second plot reason: I follow the story as it goes. And while sure, I'm still a pantser at heart, my outlines relate to the story at large, not characters themselves (save for some major points). So if the story just happens to go in a direction that invokes more interaction between MC and FL, then that's where it will go... but it's always moving towards next plotpoint. For example (Here we enter spoiler teritory for those who didn't read: When Tim and Claire go to an auction house, they are together... but the focus isn't on their relationship all that much but rather their shopping, purpouse, goals and later the small drama that happens as they leave ((which further delves into deeper plotpoints despite being simple on the surface))) Practical reason: Romance is really easy for me to write (just like smut) and it allows me to cater to my bias of slow-burn for the story (I'm extremely stingy when it comes to revealing secrets and deeper lore). That's why, if you see a lot of romance... then you shoudl look deeper cuz I'm likely using it to hide something much more important! 2nd Practical reason: In this novel I go along with a simple rule - never make the same thing happen again. If Tim and Clarie had a series of smut chapters... then this kind of smut will never appear again as a scene in the chapter. If there's Bj, its the only time it will happen. If there's rearaction, self-pleasuring play etc, they all only going to happen once. If they are ever invoked again, it only happens as a segway or off-chapter mention. Lazy reason: I've wrote the early premium chapters pretty much in one go... in a single day. So, after certain point, my brain was simply too fried to write more complex stuff and I just went with the flow >.> So, to sum it up, TL:DR: Yes, I'm aware there's more romance than people would expect early on No, it's not the promise of the general trend of the story but more of me checking the boxes early on to move on Yes, I'm already moving to rectify the problem (But legitimately, with a proper reason rather than doing so abruptly, paying no mind to the flow of the story just to introduce this change). If that's still too much for you, I understand, I apologize and I will do my best to avoid this mistake in my next project (I'm a slow learner so I already noticed it often takes me an entire novel to fix one part of my writing >.>). If you still have the patience and trust in me, however, I would encourage you not to give up just yet! All the best! :D
Nah, its one and the same, just a manner of naming something
To say that this mystical world was filled with eye candy would be a gross understatement with just how much creative freedom some of the women took with their clothes… Or how the mere effect of handling mana made pretty much everyone on the street a whole league more beautiful than an average mortal.
