I really like a story that has such a thought out world history like this

Because the Byzantines were not considered heretics by the west by the time that the Crusades were declared. When the Holy Land was retaken from the Saracens, it was granted to the Byzantine Empire as they had the most rightful claim to the land. Thus The Byzantine Empire remained a powerhouse in the Mediterranean and never suffered the massive losses from the Fourth Crusade, which eventually would lead to its destruction not too far in the future.

The demons were the strongest race but they were fewer because of their low reproduction rate, so the humans and shapeshifters could still repress them, at least that was all what he could find out from Kevin's memory.

great writing style and grammar. it's fast paced but not so much that it progresses the story to fast or to slow. the world building is all interconnected and I love it. things are explained how they should be without a massive info dump and when there is info it's only what you need to understand the characters and there abilities. I'm constantly just like "oh no..... " whenever the mc does something ridiculously awesome because it's stupendous and funny. thank you author.
