This story has ended up here. One more thing I would like to mention is that the person who wrote the diary, as many readers in China inferred after this novel ended in 2015, could be Yu Mengjun in Chapter 450, because the writer was not from Spirit Sword sect, and she called Qiong Hua senior sister. So she most likely comes from ShengJing sect. She prayed in front of Wang Lu’s status and got some good response, so she should have a good personal relationship with Wang Lu. If the diary writer were not a new character, considering a cultivator in ShengJing Sect who has a good relationship with Wang Lu, the writer was most likely Yu Mengjun who showed up in Chapter 450. This is a good novel overall in my opinion, in fact I have re-read this novel more than 20 time at least, and got new understandings or memes in this novel each time I read it. This English version one might lose part of the beauty of this novel, some of the meaning has been simplified to an easy understanding phrase while the original expression contains much more references, but it happens to all translation work. Usually there are not always equivalent expressions in 2 different language system, as well as that there could be some references or memes involved, I, as an native speaker who have read this book for lots of time, still can not get all the hidden references in this novel, so that the translators are always recreating things by his own understanding to make the meaning as closed as possible. I think Subudai has done a very hard and great work in this translation. I have tried help during the time, and he shared me the vocabulary list file which is pages long full filled with words like Character names, different spells, levels, items... I can see they are all well-organized and it requires a lot of hard work, but it is the hard work that ensures the consistency of this novel translation. About the novel itself, this is an ironic novel overall in my opinion even though it contains many humorous jokers in a cultivating subject. Usually the cultivating ending should be a bright future goal, the upper world contains peace, joy and love. In some other novel, the story could just end up when hardworking MC keeps level up until the end. The Immortal King in this novel, however, which should be the final goal to all cultivators, is a bad guy. All cultivators are trying hard for their whole lives to go up and become more and more powerful. When some great talents of them like Desheng really went the immortal world, it would soon be eaten by XIa yu. Wang Wu’s outer path is a great try which was not understood by most cultivator most of the time. Wang Lu used Gundam designed by Sun Buping to fight rather than cultivating skills. The setting is kind like to encourage people not just hardworking blindly, sometimes you need to take some time to think about where you are planning to go and whether you are on the correct way. The lies that Wang Lu made up in chapter 100 are actually much more beautiful than the reality. Wang Lu said we need a million immortals as the forerunners. Everyone hardworking, when we get one million people finally becoming immortal, our world have a brighter future. I feel a bit of depressed when I read the final sentence of this novel for the first time. I was not sure what did I expect. Did I want more stories of new characters in the new world or just let Wang Lu and Wang Wu’s stories continue? But in the new world, the old cultivators who we are familiar with have been the top level powerful cultivators in this world, how the story starts here? So probably the story has to end up here. As the story goes, Wang Lu becomes more and more merciless and political involved. That’s understandable that people are all growing.
