Just go at your own pace author, these people just want an extremely fast pace storyline where the MC is already doing magic at ch 2. Letting the story flow is good for world building and character development, it's not as if the MC is the only character, stable storyline is better than fast pace.

The author should read wand cores published from ollivanders' notes along with wand woods, there is even a mention of teak wood. Ollivanders mentions that Unicorn hair core do not make the most powerful of wands compared to dragon heartstrings and Phoenix tail feathers.
He thought for a few seconds then disappeared in the back of shop and brought a dusty old box. He took out the wand and studied it. Yeah it's always good to find a unique harry potter MC without any interference from the readers.
AN: Callum won't be the part of "golden trio", in fact, he won't be part of any particular friend group as he is an adult and it is hard to make best friends with 11-year-olds. Although he will interact with the golden trio and may help them directly or indirectly. This story won't deviate much from canon initially. I never said I will do something completely unique and different and change the canon, Some events will be changed depending on how MC handles certain situations. I hate it when authors change facts written in the books to accommodate their story, like getting a wand of a different unique core from Ollivander other than the Phoenix feather, Unicorn hair, or Dragon heartstrings, when it's clearly written that all Ollivander wands are of these three cores. This is basically a story of how I will live a life in Harry Potter Universe if I get a chance.
