Dumbledore's character was revised again, and Will was confused as to what to make out of him. Dumbledore came off as a character who was incredibly nice for an old man but wasn't nice enough to decide where he would sacrifice everyone just for Harry. In the end, Will decided to leave Dumbledore as it is and decided to leave hints in the story that Dumbledore wasn't as simple as he made himself out to be.

There are a lot of stories out there that are bad but fun an example would be DC: Strongest gamer it is not good by any means but it is very entertaining. Some books are so in-depth that the world-building is so deep that its good Chrysalis( one of my favorite free novels on this site) is a good example. There is also fanfiction that goes so far that it transforms their source material EPIC is a good example of one of the longest novels on the site. Others blend well together mashups like akikan with his works. Your story I feel is lacking something that draws the crowd. Your story I feel needs more exposition you need to flesh it out more. There is also the problem that most people have less attention span nowadays that pacing is very important. Another is the cohesiveness of your story. It jibes well enough but most people might find it confusing. Combining Marvel and DC with universe hopping will make it harder for your audience to immerse them into your writing, I feel that you should right how you want to write but luck is also a factor if people like your stuff. It is a combination of good writing and luck which blows up a story. There are a multitude of good books on this site and even more competition on sites like fanfiction, royal road, and scibblehub among many others. Reader's time is limited and people's attention even more so. Readers ask themselves this all the time. Why should I read this if there are millions of better ones out there? Hope this can help you in some way. It is just my thoughts on your book and everything as a whole.
