depends on how mature she was obviously but it's true that compared to how you feel at pass 30, you do feel like the people in the 20s often are total immature kids... and I can definetly extrapolate on that that it the same for every decenny or sufficiently spaced difference of age
It was a strange feeling. When Sunny was a child, his mother was the definition of an adult to him, and adults were magical creatures who possessed wondrous and incredible powers. But now, he was an adult himself, which was why he was able to realize… that his mother had been a kid herself.

but she will have a good idea of how much it give damage so how much it is expected to hurt still...
Even Nephis showed some reactions, acting perplexed, bewildered, and slightly mortified when Effie forced her to hold the infant. Which was a very rare sight, and therefore precious.

well, he is accurate.
In short, the baby was ugly and boring.

yeah, new parent do get a bit crazy to get able to take care of such little ugly midget that just suck the life out of you while not letting you sleep or rest...
Sunny shook his head, wondering if all parents were a little sick in the head. Well, they had to be. Otherwise, what would make them care for the poor infants? A bit of unreasonable affection went a long way...

poor sunny being sorry about not being able to dodge the question nor lying about what he think of infants lol...
"What are you talking about? He's absolutely ugly. All infants are. And don't give me that look… you know I can't lie!"

Even Sunny, who always expected the worst and was usually prepared to receive painful blows from fortune, felt like an incredible burden had been lifted from his heart.

yes *BUT* that was a surgery that left the baby alive and the mother dead usually as they would go save the child (hoping really hard it would be a boy usually...) while leaving the mother bleeding to death or anyway full of microbe (hygiene and sterile methid wasn't invented yet...) that would cause her a letal infection if the hemorrhage didn't kill her already as she was "replaceable" while the baby boy would be the future heir so more important.
"It wasn't easy… but she's fine. They're both fine. Nephis helped."

well with how the classification is now, asperger is just a part of the spectrum and you don't get asperger diagnostic, you get autistic spectrum disorder so that works.
As a result, he was often baffled and stumped by human behavior, and his attempts to imitate it, however diligent, inevitably fell flat. This strangeness made others uncomfortable. In short, he was a bit different — and if there was one thing people hated, it was those different from them.

that is possible. Also for a few chapters he's been saying that Sin of Solace is telling him stuff but technically not dialogue was said by Sinny from what we can read and to me it sounds like something strange is going on it Guiltytree is mentionning that sunny believe it's Sinny talking while not writing Sinny talking at all when he has always put down his dialogue prior to this.
In fact, it was — it was the Sin of Solace whispering into his ear. The Sin of Solace, whose only purpose was to drive him mad. Was he a fool to listen to these whispers?
