The story starts off with some bad writing but quickly becomes amazing. However at around chapter 500 I'm Preety sure there was a change in author as the quality of writing had a major drop with plots being randomly thrown in and not being fleshed out. Happened midway onto the witches base. Even the SS rank creature at the 14th floor wasn't mentioned and the fight with the witch happened in 2 sentences. The story then became a documentation or a draft of diffrent plots that could happen.

So Duan Jinyan dies as the finally of the back. Sadly we don't get to see the aftermath of his death and it's impact on the MC. He gets reborn and another chance on the extra chapter 620 but the story would've been nicer and more complete if the chapter was instead on the impact of his death.

In the end did the Duan Jinyan die and get reborn. It was horrible how we didn't get to see the aftermath of him disappearing from the world for the MC charector. It right away jumped to when he had been reborn.

The thing is the story was leading to the mc and the ex husband reuniting their love. Especially with the many times he saved them and risked his life. What pisses me off is how the kids tricked him and never supported the love between him and the mc. Also the author states that he spent a lot of effort on the kids not giving him time to date the mc which is understandable. At the end they say he regrets the way he treated her when they got married but like that wasn't the real her it was the book character which was dumb. He tried his best to support the kids and their mom but they never gave him a chance. For exple they had a movie they wanted to make but never asked him for help with money also the first kid also when investing in a company didn't allow the father to invest so as to help the remove any complications when they divorce. But I had hopes till the end of the story for them to end up together. The dumbest thing is that the author let us have a bit of hope once the agreement was made where she hugged him but nope that was the only hug he got. It would have been better of he never divorces her. The girl kid also gave her mother and the male love the chance to connect together when they went horse riding but never considered her father. In the end the kids kept their promise to the mother but never the father. Of he never divorces his wife the ji guy couldn't get together with her and they would never have crossed any boundaries as it would be considered cheating to an extent. If the father was a bit more overbearing he could've made opportunities to hug and kiss the mc as they were home together. Ahhjhhhhhhhhhhh.
