I fell that Ves should offer Tristan one of his older Lucky gems that he has been holding onto for a while to help him out. There has to be one or two that been around for a long time he can give without much regret.
Ves had already seen what vastly improved gems could do for mechs. He just had to bide his time and wait until Tristan progressed far enough that even first-class mechs benefited from his gems.
