This armored stagecoach was equipped with a Schmidt mk 2 machine gun in case it came under fire.

I know it's an alternate reality and the MC has the power to do what he wants but technically Bourbon is only distilled in the US, so this is technically just whiskey.
After saying this, Berengar clapped his hands, and some of his servants came forth and delivered the goods. In a well crafted and lacquered wooden box lie a bottle of liquor. This was no mere whiskey, but a single malt bourbon that had been aged for the last five years.

The chapter got the point across well, even diving into the ambiguous moral dilemma that can be created in situations like this. However, like an earlier comment stated the MC talks too much in this chapter. I feel that as intelligent as Nina is she would find the MC's understanding of the concepts he put forth a little weird, as he is supposed to have "just awakened" to these urges. Maybe instead of the MC going on a rant have some back and forth between the characters.

I love how every interaction with the Deathlord brings a small piece of back story. It flashes out a character in a way that is not just a huge exposition dump. The only problem is that the author is making me not want the MC to usurp the her the more they interact

I like how this novel portrays the characters after they have been raised from the dead. For once a character who is aware they are dead can accept it and move on. So many movie and novel characters spend so many chapters and story archs fighting their new situation. Thank you for making some what grounded and rational characters.

The metaphysical aspect of this novel is amazing. So many novels just plop and system in a story and then say it is a being of great power that might be manipulating the MC. This ties it up nicely while leave the author the ability to alter the system later if need. 👍
But my teacher theorized the Outer was an 'element' that only a few chosen could harness. It is not something with a form or will, an entity as you fear, it is simply something that is. Woven into the fabric of all existence at the dawn of creation.
