what im saying is this cant even really be considered a kingdom, it's waaaaaaaaaaay to small. if anything you should change the wording from a kingdom to an independant city state, then it would make alot more sense.

no, thats how normal earth kingdoms are. countrys and kingdoms on earth had large swaths of land that took months to traverse. take the british emipre, the roman emipre, ireland, scotland etc. you cant take basically and country or kingdom on earth and it would take alot more than 3 days to walk from the edge of the kingdom to the city capital. otherwise most commeners, who never left there village or town in there whole lives, would have visted big cities all the time since everything is so close to each other. also i'd reccomend reading "tales of the reincarnated lord" since the author does an amazing job of describing distances from the diffrent territories and country's in the story. also how can the MC just walk from the edge of the kingdom to the citys capital and not walk through about a dosen diffrent nobles lands and citys. unless theres like 4 landed nobles in this country it doesnt make a lot of sense. Again to fix this problem i'd reccomend reading the story i said above, it'll defintly give you alot of insiration. it's a chinese translated novel so just the type the name in google and it'll pop up and its finished.

why is sera never in any of the fight. she seems to be a useless 2d character that has no importance except when the MC needs information. Thats also true for the other side characters as well, they arent reall given any personality.

your going to tell me it only takes 3 days to walk from the farthest end of the kingdom to the capital. that's just insane and i see may people make this same mistake in stories. should be atleast a 2-3 months travel. otherwise this is the smallest country ever. if you wanted to rush the story to were he gets to the capital all you had to do was do a time skip then give a brief summary of what he did during the 2-3 months. i was already kind of on the fence with dropping the story after the forced plot points the MC was put in to but i really hate it when mistakes like this are made. i hope you can go back and fix this

i don't get why they would want to kill gerald if what they want to do at the moment is stay in the shadows and not attract attention and only attack someone or some people if its for there goals. they said i a previous chapter its because he's a loose end but that doesnt make sense since he doesnt know anything and attacking him will only bring unwanated attention to them. also if they were going to kill gerald, why not sera as well, since she know just about as much as him. I'm not really liking this plot, it seems like your trying to force the MC into a conflict with the sect and the nobles but its not really working.
