this is correct

But Lorde's defenses were incredible. Perhaps he was still wary of the crossbow bolts, but he completely disregarded the common arrows.

Oh. Of course, the Vestibule! The sweet healing energies of the Colony are flooding through my system, soothing my pains and taking away my fatigue. Once again that boundless energy is flooding into me. In fact, way more energy than I'm used to. How many ants are coming here right now?! I know that they've been hatching more than before, but what the heck? How many members does the Colony even have right now? Two thousand? THREE thousand?! Yikes. That's gonna be a lot of mouths to feed. I hope the council is managing to raise them all properly. I don't want them cutting corners and not giving each ant the chance to achieve their potential!

A sociopath is not in control of his emotions and acts on impulse. A psychopath doesn't feel any emotion and will learn what they mean and emulate them to hide this.

When using this Skill, emotion fades into the back of my mind, brushing against the edges of my awareness instead of rushing to the forefront and dominating my decision making. To be honest, I should probably spend almost all of my time sunk deep into the meditation Skill. I can recognise that when I use the Skill and my emotions don't cloud my thinking. The problem is that I don't really like the feeling of being this cold and logical, it doesn't feel like me. So I tend to avoid it, even though I recognise how much better my decision making would be. The more I use the Skill, the higher level it would get as well. Who knows what depths of emotionlessness are possible as it continues to rank up?

Most longswords weight about 1.1kg wherea most katanas weigh around 1.3kg. So no a katana is not faster than a longsword.

This was definitely Ralph's request. He never was a fan of eastern swords, and to his defense, katanas were good weapons, but they are not the best. This is a simple hard truth, a confrontation between a katana and a European sword of the same material would undoubtedly end with the katana split in half. The eastern sword is decent and has good slashing, cutting, and piercing properties, but only good. It was not the best in either of the categories. A rapier's piercing power is so great that plate armor could do nothing to fend against the needle tipped weapon. A Zwihander's destructive power could crush a horse's charge, cut its legs, and doom the horse's rider. A falchion's speed and slashing power could rip an arm in a single slash with minor difficulty. All weapons had their unique traits, and the katana falls behind when contending against any of these weapons in their unique traits and specialties. For ralph, he was a great-sword user. The weight behind every blow is important and the katana could not cope with Ralph's barbaric strength nor could it tend to his needs in battle. A katana is best for a nimble adaptable user. Though it falls behind many weapons it's unique in its ways. The katana, is a jack of all, master of none type of weapon. And is best used in the hands of someone capable of adapting to all situations. For this weapon was not meant to confront people head-on, but it was made to be used as a type of art, it's a weapon that would rather parry than deflect.

Uh no to break a spear handle you need multiple hits with an axe on the same spot. They are WAR weapons. They have to be durable enough to take hits.

"Yeah, I agree." Fei added, "The weakling must have never won a fight in his life before and then when he saw the opportunity, he just had to do it."

He can control the duration AND strength of a spell by pouring in more mana. This was already mentioned in earlier chapters.

The monster was relentless chasing them down no matter how they fled. Verita knew, as soon as the spell took effect they would no longer be able to run, only slaughter would await them. Though there was no visible change the moment the spell began to function everyone watching could see it. The bodies of the soldiers sagged to the ground as if pressed down by a mountain. Those who were still able to keep their feet did so only by exerting extreme effort, their faces going red with the strain. The soldiers eyes were wild and filled with terror. What could possibly have prepared them for this?
