Some mighty Axe action would also be appreciated, when he is wading through the masses with blade spells shearing through his enemies by his side

I think you already have the big confrontation planned all out, but could the MC's goat familiar make an appearance? Maybe at Skuldavn against the Draugr Overlords or if they don't join Mirajane, the Vampires could use some headbutting

Crown's effect is good, but it is hard to properly limit the effect it and the 'fake' crowns will have. If an Adept could normally cast two novice spells at once, the fake crown would let him cast two apprentice spells instead. The normal crown rictus has would let an Adept cast two Adept spells at once. Since Rictus is a Master and even better than ordinary ones, he should be capable of casting a Master spell in Destruction (that would take more effort, like Blizzard) and still keep one or two familiar spells like telekinesis and rock wall going.

I kind of want Rictus to get an ultimate. Like, a new Aethereal Staff/Axe. That would let him store an incredible amount of magicka and channel it into his one-handed skill he got. And a smaller, kind of like a wand, staff for Morrigan, with which she can cast two of lightning, fire and frost like noone's business. I just don't know if it would make sense, since on one hand she is beyond Enchanting 100, and on the other, she doesn't have a staff enchanter (or could she have gotten one since she became the Arch-Mage). Smith is difficult for me, since just being an amazing smith won't let you do any supernatural stuff besides parts of his things being nigh unbreakable or extremely sharp, which isn't much without good fighting skills to go with it. Traps also doesn't seem super reliable for combat, so I don't think he should be anywhere near the frontline. I just dislike the idea of his smithing infringing on enchanting by granting all kinds of properties to what he creates.

Rictus, Morrigan, Smith, Calcelmo and Dante could make a common project of automatons against Undead. Calcelmo and the Ancient Knowledge from the other ruin about dwemer automatons, Smith to create the mechanic bodies, Rictus to provide the materials necessary/changing what needs to be changed after it is built and providing the "fuel", Morrigan to enchant it all together and Dante to either help with target recognition in the enchantment / creation process or by blessing it in the name of Stendarr.

I recommend checking the Ayleids as well. Their aetherial magic was, in part, to capture star light from aetherius with welkynd and varla stones made from meteors. Since it all connects to Aetherius in the end, the Ayleids and Dwemer may have both been after the same thing just in different ways. Ascending to Aetherius and becoming Gods, or getting closer to them perhaps. This is just a thought of mine, not from the wiki. But there was also an interesting mention there, that the Ayleids supposedly created the magic school of alteration and knew magical powers that allowed them to shape the landscape to their wishes.

Nevermind, I think it is right between Falkreath and Markath An alternate effect for the aetherial crown could be something to do with the Soul/Spirit and the way it interacts with Aetherius, which is the source of magic. His arm from Ancano already happens to be a bit peculiar, so I wouldn't bat an eye if the Aetherium Crown granted him anything from the original effect over massive spell cost reduction or magicka regeneration or something else. Anyway, it makes kind of sense that aetherium is connected in some way to aetherius, so you have a pretty wide playing field on what you want to do with it...

Avanzchel is also a very interesting dwemer ruin to explore, since it grants Ancient Knowledge, boosting Dwarven Armor ratings and Smithing experience gain. Regardless of whether he manages to nick the Smith from the Forsworn or not. Calcelmo could be the one to have found clues about the ruin (or the restored or Moira). It isn't too terribly far from Markath

Making a Skill legendary could be a way to relearn his skill and knowledge of it in a way that when finished (100 again) will be quite a bit better than before. Take it as learning a new theory, like about electron spin and incorporating it into the whole skill. He'll still know and be able to use the old skill, but if he really wants to go further in the skill he'll have to "forget" the old path and tread the new one... It could also be a mechanism of the system where he offers up his skill progress in order to raise the upper and lower limit of it. (like 1. legendary tier is 15-115 although it may be shown as 1-100, 2. is 30-130 etc). Finally, this could be used as a story friendly explanation of how people ascend from ordinariness to myths and maybe even gods (like Mannimarco)
Answer: True, and I'm unsure as to how I will handle that. It feels weird to "lose" your skill proficiencies in exchange for a legendary grading. So I plan to either use it as an emergency class reset or give MC a boon for going for a legendary grade. But it would also be hard to try for legendary on skills that are hard to grind like Alchemy or Enchanting.

I really really dislike the idea of a bag of holding being a common item in tamriel There may be a sort of stretched space container, but it should be either unique or extremely rare. Just wouldn't feel like Skyrim at all if everyone had this. And what would people have backpacks for then, or big caravans instead of a small trolley/bag
Answer: Yes, but I'm not exactly sure how I want to handle it so I've been purposefully vague. I don't know if I want it to act like a bag of holding in D&D, have it as an aspect of the system, or if it doesn't exist at all. And if I do the D&D option I feel I'd start incorporating other D&D aspects and I don't want to stray too far from Skyrim. Fun side note, I made the crafting of a bag of holding reguire a dragon's ball sack.

Over 50 chapters are a pretty good indicator on the story. If the author radically changes the story after that he might as well rewrite it and make it shorter / better. But that is terribly unlikely to happen with webnovels given that on sites like this one there is an incentive to keep as much useless chapters as possible while keeping readers reading.
