It actually only took a moment to figure it out. Bogard was within Rayleigh's En field, so every fraction of movement he took was measured. Rayleigh only realized after the fact that Bogard had completely matched Rayleigh's breathing rhythm. Expanding on that, Rayleigh realized that Bogard had somehow matched his sword to Rayleigh's Nen. Rayleigh's aura could not hurt himself or else any person using Ren would cause that person's body to explode. By matching his sword to Rayleigh's aura, Bogard's sword passed through Rayleigh's aura. It didn't negate the strength of Rayleigh's aura, but it was like slicing along the grain. Was this how Swordmasters of this world used a sword? It reminded Rayleigh of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, an ability that allowed its user to see and cut through the grains of the world without resistance, letting him cut through and kill anything.

You should have him tutor Jedi knight Anikin at least once. Maby have him learn from the mandolorians, to further generalize his skill set with mercenary/military type techniques, also gives him an excuse to learn some sci-fi physical fitness regiment.
At least until the Clone Wars. At that point, I'll need to pause and re-watch every episode of every season and write down a plot for Rayleigh and the other Players to do during that time. Suggestions are welcomed.

At this moment, it was slightly dramatically fluttering in the sea breeze, adding a bit of charm to the overall image. On his belt, on the left side, hung some mysterious sword, now slightly pushed back behind him. Even the dossier couldn't identify this weapon, merely describing it as thinner than a typical blade and clearly longer, with a bulky handle featuring a very strange guard that was not only extended more than usual but also formed protection for the wrist.
