I'm not even a big fan of Chen Guo, but this guy's comments are so extraordinarily petulant that it's become sad to look at.
"This this this... this is breaking the rules!" Chen Guo said.

If Zhang Jiale was truly beholden to his fans, he wouldn't have just done what he did. He probably wouldn't have even left the team to begin with, let alone coming back to join another team. There's a big difference between him feeling bad about how things ended with his old team and letting it control him on the stage.
"Good luck! Don’t disappoint them!" Zhang Jiale said.

Based on the comments you've made so far, it isn't just Chen Guo who needs it.
"Humph!" Chen Guo’s anger hadn’t subsided yet. She glared fiercely at Ye Xiu and then controlled her Chasing Haze to move forward as well. She lift the steel cannon in her hands and started taking aim at the alternate accounts of those Gods. Not long afterwards, the summons from Concealed Light blocked her line of sight.

By pro standards, yes, that's bad. However, she's still good enough to have been a member of the main guild of a powerhouse club. By the standards of a normal player, that's pretty good.
“Forest Landscape. Battle Mage. His mechanics aren’t bad. They’re just a bit worse than mine.” Chen Guo said.

They changed it later on with TL note explaining why, but I can't remember where exactly.
“Ha ha, in any case, another strong opponent is about to be born. Lin Jingyan is already no longer a top-tier Brawler like he was before. Tang Hao and Three Hits…….. a new God!” Huang Shaotian swiftly returned to the topic.

The problem with this assessment is that it ignores a major factor in roster decisions on a professional team: championship windows. Age has been stressed as a major limitation of players in Glory's professional scene, which matches with other major league sports seen around the world. Teams usually save up draft capital and develop players until they find a core to build around. Then, as the team starts to coalesce around that core, they push all of their resources forth at once to open up a "window" where they have a high chance to compete compete in and (hopefully) take home at least one championship. The next few seasons are going to be last before Tiny Herb's window closes; as the core ages to the point where they can no longer keep up with younger talent. What they're trying to do is maximize the value they get out of every player on the roster, with a focus on short-term fixes (as opposed to long-term development) to keep their window open and defend their crown. Yifan, in spite of all of his potential, is still very much a project player who needs a lot of time and resources to be able to compete on the big stage. This is a luxury that Tiny Herb cannot afford under its current circumstances. TL;DR: There are many factors that went into Yifan being released that are consistent with personnel decisions made by real-life professional sports teams when put in a similar position as Tiny Herb.
"She’s improved so fast. Talented, as expected!" Wang Jiexi had hoped to recruit Tang Rou a long time ago, but had been rejected. Seeing her current skill, he couldn’t help but lament aloud.

I think it's more than that. I think his lack of understanding comes from just how separate the pro scene is from the game at this point. The contractual obligations are a part of this, but they also have external practice tools, external professional matches, and entire professional guilds complete with full-time staff to obtain the materials they need to compete. The thought likely never crossed Sun Xiang's mind because the entire concept of pioneering in a new expansion is so unfamiliar to him at this point.
And then, there was no after. Sun Xiang stopped here. Everyone wanted to pull out their hair: bro, what are you even asking?

It's been mentioned that her situation is beyond hope as far as any meaningful improvement is concerned. She is even older than Old Wei and doesn't have the foundation that he does. Background aside, her relative lack of knowledge is being used by the author to give detailed explanations on plot-relevant information for the reader without resorting to walls of text or chopping up dialogues excessively.
"Hey hey, what do you mean? Speak clearly!" Chen Guo chased after him.

He's always had skill. His problem is that he is never able to put everything he has into the match because he spends too much time worrying about things off-stage.
The winner of this second round was Excellent Era’s Liu Hao. Ye Xiu nodded his head at the praise, while Chen Guo gave a snort of contempt.

One line, a commenter in the previous chapter mentioned this a while ago. I'll repost it here for clarity: “Old Wei?” Ye Xiu shouted out in astonishment.
“F*ck, why are you so troublesome! Hurry up and die so I can get my 500.” The Warlock, who Ye Xiu called Old Wei, responded in an extremely loud voice. Chen Guo could even hear his voice from Ye Xiu’s headphones clearly.

In her defense though, even Huang Shaotian didn't dare to fight Lord Grim with a level 27 account precisely because of the lack of skills - especially when compared to an unspecialized of the same level. It's important to remember that an unspecialized character has access to all of its skills at level 20.
“How annoying! As a Level 27 Sharpshooter, I don’t have a lot of skills I can use. I’m so not used to it!!” Liu Fei was the first to speak. What a wise girl. She was the first to find an excuse.

This is more or less Ye Xiu's criticism of him - he's never putting 100% into the matches.
A pro-player…….. Blade Master……. Then thinking of tonight’s match……. Huang Shaotian.

Or she lost because she was fighting a skilled opponent on full health with only half of hers remaining.
Song Qiying, River Sunset. In the end, he stood until the end. Tyranny had won the group arena.

IIRC, it was mentioned back when Ye Xiu picked it earlier in the season that it was picked commonly in the game, but it was rarely seen in pro play because it didn't exactly have any terrain for the home team to use to their advantage.
Team Tyranny had unexpectedly chosen the most commonly picked 1v1 map for the all important playoffs stage, the Arena!

Those who endure loss learn to appreciate what they still have.
"Don't worry." Su Mucheng seemed to understand upon seeing Chen Guo's gaze. "At least everyone is still with us."
