The shadows slowly materialized, allowing me to place both my hands on the railing. All that could be heard was our breath along with the passing howls of wind, carrying leaves around as it pleases. A chill ran up my spine as a cold blast of air hit my face. It is winter and the temperature certainly reflects that.
